We had a great experience with Lakeside Surfaces to update a decades-old Formica on plywood countertop. We chose quartz on July 23 -- and today (August 12) the job is done. Thanks to all staffers along the way -- Jon for expediting the project, Cory and others who communicated at each key point, the fabricators for an excellent cut, and installers David and Terrell for their care and expertise in the fit and finish. We are glad we went with them!

I had a good experience with Lakeside Surfaces. The company is professional and communication is excellent. The staff who templated and installed my bathroom vanity top were helpful, answered questions and prompt for the appointments. The timelines promised were adhered to. Be aware, that the small sample that a customer views and selects does not reveal the entire piece to be installed. I was disappointed about the lack of mixing of the composite resulted in a color concentration that in my opinion is not visually pleasing. I would recommend Lakeside Surfaces, and would encourage a customer to view the entire piece for satisfaction.

Jon Polen went the distance for me; all the way to the U.P. He and his team worked with me to coordinate templating, fabrication, and installation of my beautiful, quality, ideal countertops. I've been DIY'ing my kitchen (still a WIP), but countertops needed to be professionally installed. When I couldn't make it to the showroom, Jon made sure samples were hand delivered to me. The personal customer service beats any "box" store. Plus, the quality is beyond better and did not cost more. They also went "over the bridge", which other vendors would not do. Jon is knowledgable about his products, listens to his customer's needs, is realistic about the process, and he follows up after the install! I will be using Lakeside Surfaces again!

Jon Polen was awesome getting us started with explaining our options, helpful recommendations, putting together a great plan, clear easy to understand estimates & getting the whole project rolling. From the day we walked into the show room in Grand Rapids we knew Lakeside would be the place we would purchase our counter top. The receptionists were very kind and helpful. So many wonderful colors and products to choose from. Jon the man that measured for our countertop was very kind and professional. The two gentleman Paul and Nick that did the actual installation were great. Very professional , personable, and very kind. They did great job installing and did s great job cleaning up. Would highly recommend Lakeside Surfaces!!!

Lakeside did a great job of installing our new countertops. Fast forward one year, we had them swap out a new under mount sink. Again, they did a great job of breaking the old sink away and remounting the new. They filled in the seam, which was white and it looked good. The homeowner (me) didn't allow for proper dry time and it darken on white surfaces. Ryan was very helpful and getting his team scheduled to come back to get seam right and white again. I appreciate their dedication to the service after the sale!

We had a wonderful experience with Lakeside Surfaces recently while purchasing our quartz countertops. From the beginning of the project working with Jon and team, to measuring for the countertops with Phil, and finally the installation process itself with Mike and Nick (who did an amazing job and did not break one of the existing glass tiles on the backsplash). All who represented Lakeside were extremely professional and kept us informed every step of the way. We still can't believe how beautiful our new countertops look!

Over 2 years ago, I called multiple companies to add a backsplash to an existing Corian bathroom counter and no one would help me because the job was too small, except Lakeside. This company was helpful and was willing to add the backsplash so I would not have to replace my entire double sink counter to make our master bathroom more user friendly for a family of 7. They found a remnant that would closely match what we had and installed it professionally and quickly. They treated us the same as if we were spending $1,000s of dollars. This company is willing to go the extra mile for ANY customer. The backsplash still looks new after 2+ years of daily use by 7 people.

We purchased our countertops in Feb 2023 and when I first had an issue with them I called and spoke to someone and they mentioned to continue to clean the surface with their product which is what we've always used. The area of concern did not go away so I called back and pushed the issue further to have someone come back and look at it. The technician came to inspect our countertops and he identified it was in fact a quality issue with the manufacturer. He told us he would updated his notes and said someone would contact us for next steps. However, no one called until I reached out a week later and we were told that the technician's notes now say it's our fault, and we should reach out to the manufacturer ourselves if we want. We paid $5000 for these countertops and I would never do business with this company again or recommend them. Take your money elsewhere.

Lakeside Surfaces have now done two projects for us. The first was a kitchen counter a couple of years ago, and it was smooth and easy. We are still loving that countertop. The second was last week, when they came to do the vanity countertop. They were on time, on price, and it was a beautiful job! I would not hesitate to use these guys a third fourth or fifth time!

Todd D and Nick T did a fantastic job with my countertop install. Nice guys, very knowledgeable and professional. I am super impressed with their work. The seam is barely visible! The measuring process was easy, and the product turned out fantastic! Fits perfectly to my cabinets and walls. The edge profile was nicely cut and the corners, both inside and outside, are smooth. The sink installation looks great, too. We chose quartz and love the pattern and the price point. We are considering replacing our bathroom countertop now! Great work Lakeside, thank you!

Lakeside has great selection and very competitive pricing. Their sales reps are also very responsive. The reason for three stars is the scheduling and installation were delayed repeatedly, and my counter and backsplash were installed 6 months later than the agreed date. The countertop stained, but that was not their fault, and they did provide a full refund and help correct the problem.

You will never convince us that the granite that was brought into the house after removing the original countertops, was the same that we picked out. Then there was the stupid cuts that were made that were just plain ugly. They require you to pay completely up front so you have no recourse after you sign dozens of disclaimers protecting them and nothing to protect you from their incompetence or mistakes. They did not even to pay for the damaged and broken part of the sink panel. Two weeks ago we were told they would get back to us......still waiting but don't expect we will ever hear from them again. I felt it was important to formalize my extreme dissatisfaction with the installation of my countertops. For ease of following - I will bullet point my concerns. Nick, Erik, Todd and Evan were the installers of the countertops Master Bedroom Huge gap between backsplash and wall with a very sloppy glue job - I think a two year old could have done better. Seam in the countertop has separated. Glue under the counter is on my new cabinets and there are gaps where there is glue and then no glue. Kitchen Seam next to the stove has separated. Seam next to the sink and above dishwasher - sticks out like a sore thumb. It's a large gap and the wrong color. Everyone who looks at the kitchen comments on that seam. Not one person who I have spoken to and has seen the seam says it's acceptable. I know when we spoke you stated that the fabricator who looked at it originally agreed it was bad but the next day stated its within industry standards. I would like to see what the industry standards are. When asked for the owner to look at it - the response was it was too far of a drive and my expectations are too high I must say this is the worst install I have ever had. I have never seen such poor workmanship. What make this even worse is they will not work with the contractor to fix. But they will put a LIEN on your HOME!!
