I’m so blown away at the attention to detail Thomas of Kraftician Design and their fabricator Jose showed in our kitchen and bar remodel project. Not only do they do amazing work they are easy to work with! Thomas kept us up to date throughout the whole process and worked with us on planing out where our slabs would be used so everything would be perfect. Their fabricator went above and beyond our expectations. The quartz material we chose, Ethereal Noctis by Silestone, is a repeating pattern on all 4 slabs we needed for island, waterfall, counters and full wall backsplash. Thomas and his fabricator planned it so each section used looked unique and they lined up the veins so they seemed almost like they flowed seamlessly. Working with Kraftician Design was the only stress free part of our very stressful remodel and we are so grateful for that reprieve. I would highly recommend them for any of your remodel needs and look forward to working with them again in the future.

We literally cannot say enough good things about Tom and Tara and our choice to use Kraftician Design Surfaces in Livermore, as our one-stop-shop for design services, flooring, countertops and backsplash. They are absolutely amazing to work with! It started when we "popped" into Kraftician one day without an appointment and were graciously greeted by Tom. His product knowledge, product quality and warm demeaner led us to know exactly who we wanted to work with. As we didn't know where to start, both Tom and Tara worked tirelessly to help us build our vision. From offering suggestions and a multitude of design ideas, Tara often ran samples over to our house to see how they looked in our own lighting and surroundings. We settled on 2,700 sq ft of wide plank white oak hardwood flooring, quartzite countertops and a beautiful Spanish subway tile backsplash. Their patience, comfort, reassurance and attention to detail is unmatched. As an example, they scoured the bay to find extra-long quartzite slabs that would fit our back bar so we didn't have any seems, and Tara suggested a beautiful black granite slab for our fireplace hearth and we absolutely love it! Tom worked with us to map out each section of the quartzite counters to ensure the veining matched, and our favorite parts of the slabs were used in all the right places. Jose (fabricator) and his team were equally amazing and perfectionists. It showed! As Tom has been in the business for decades, he was also a wealth of information and was able to recommend other professionals as we needed them (plumber as an example). Everyone they recommended, were just perfect to work with. Because of this, our project went without a hitch - and we love the result and are forever grateful! If anyone is in the market for a home redesign or face lift, we cannot recommend Kraftician Design Surfaces enough. The quality and personal touch you get from using a local small business is priceless. You will go from strangers to friends! We can't wait to work with them again.

I had the opportunity to work with Tom and Terra for selection of counter tops, they walked me through all the options for stone types available and really took a personal effort to make sure the job is done professionally. They visited the work area and gave me their personal and professional opinion which really made a huge difference in the final results. I couldn't be more happier with the outcome these guys delivered, despite the timrline setbacks I had in my schedule for getting everything done with the cabinets prep, they worked with me on a very timely manner and delivered a top notch results. Please give these guys a visit as the pictures speak for themselves. Stay away from big box stores. Thank you so much Tom, Terra, and Jose and crew who delivered this great job.

I purchased a granite slab for a kitchen remodel and floor tile for a bathroom remodel on two separate occasions. I had great experiences for both visits. Tom & Tara did a great job in listening to what my wife and I believed we were looking for design-wise. They then helped guide us through many different options to help achieve our design. Tom was very helpful, communicative, and patient, and Jose did an amazing job on the fabrication! We experienced many delays in our project (due to water damage and termites) and every time that I reached out to Tom to let him know that my timeline had shifted, he was very understanding and assured me that it was completely normal and that he would be ready whenever we were. He was true to his word and when we were finally able to proceed, he and Jose worked very hard to figure out how to fabricate my 2 slabs in such a manner that I could also use it for my backsplash (per my request) in a manner that was pleasing to the eye - which was no small feat. Our overall project was not without it's struggles, but working with Tom, Terra, and Jose on our countertops was one of the easiest and stress free parts. It's clear they care about their craft and customers and I wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

This is a local business ran by husband and wife. They are very nice and helpful. If you are looking for a one stop shop for all your hard surfaces, This is the place. Tara is great at design and Tom takes care of measurements for your tiles, wood floors ,countertops or vanity/cabinets. I like that their products are top quality at fair prices and are made in USA. Tom went above and beyond to finish the counter top on time since my husband's birthday party was in two days! I love to be able to support the businesses in this great town. Livermore has always been good about keeping our community strong by supporting each other.

They sourced extra long slabs so our back bar didn't have a seam and Tara's eye for design suggested a beautiful black granite slab for our fireplace hearth that we absolutely love. Tom and Jose (fabricator) mapped our countertops perfectly so our favorite parts were highlighted, and the install was flawless. Thomas and Tara were so helpful and really took the time to explain the product. They worked hard to work within our budget and followed up with us throughout our process. We are obsessed with our Gaia Red Series Torino flooring! They also helped us pick out our tile (Crayon - Grigio) and countertop (Cateau Blanc leathered). We really wanted the Taj Mahal, but it wasn't in our budget so they worked to find one that fit with the Taj Mahal design and had the leathered effect. Very pleased with what we ended up with. The product came in quickly - which we learned isn't normal these days.

I wish I could give more than 5 stars! From the first visit to their beautiful design studio to the completion of the product - all interactions were awesome! Tom and Tara were great in helping me choose the right product for our outdoor kitchen countertops. Tom and Tara were very responsive to texts and phone calls and product arrived timely. Our initial experience with Tom and Tara was spectacular! (See previous post). Fast forward 7 months and project is under way when we realize we are short titles. (Our miscalculation). Five Stars, AMAZING! Tom & Tara were so wonderful to work with on our new flooring project from the very beginning. They allowed us to take home flooring samples to view with our other hard finishes. We didn't have a contractor lined up so Tom found someone for us to do the demo & flooring install. He oversaw every aspect of the install process & we are so thrilled with how the floors came out! It truly feels like a new house. The attention to detail, transitions from room to room and how efficiently the crew performed the job blew us away. Highly recommend! We were remodeling our kitchen and bathroom and getting pretty frustrated trying to pick tile at big box shops. We knew what we wanted but kept getting overwhelmed by all the options and trying to really narrow it down. We were referred to Kraftician and it was exactly what we needed! They have a great design eye, made project recommendations, and helped us order finishing pieces on short notice for both projects. They even sought out the perfect vanity cabinet remnant piece for us! They were knowledgeable and honest when we tried to over order the tile twice. We were referred to Kraftician through a friend. From the very first meeting Tom and Tara were amazing. Remodeling kitchens and bathrooms can be very stressful but Tom and Tara were so helpful and patient with all our questions and design changes. They had a large selection of material to choose from and spent the time to help us decide what would best fit our design ideas. We had looked at several other stores and Kraftician was far and above the best with service and selection. KRAFTICIAN deserves 10 stars, here's why: During a recent bathroom remodel we were referred to Kraftician by our plumber. Not very often that I write reviews but when you come across a business like Kraftician it makes sense to support and recommend them to others. We met the owners of Kratician at the shop in Livermore and immediately I was given the impression that they are passionate about their knowledge of tile and flooring options. We were able to work with Tom and his wife to design our tile for our bathroom floors, and shower. The tile arrived quickly and allowed us to be ahead of the scheduled tilers when they arrived to start working. During the tiling of our floor we had an issue arise that caused a need for 2 additional pieces of tile. When I called Kraftician and told them Tom told me he would be contacting the distributor and contact me to arrange for the pickup. When Tom called me back he explained that a mistake had occurred and that the tile that we had been given was not the intended tile for the project, he then stated that he was not willing to stake his business reputation on a tile that would not withstand the test of time. We spoke it over and with Toms assistance we were able to select a new tile that would replace the previous bought pieces. Tom accepted the ownership of the tile and replaced the tile at no additional cost to us. This is the very meaning of customer service as my definition. Very easily Tom could have taken advantage of our ignorance to the tile that we had placed first and let it ride, instead he took the high road and looked out for his number 1 asset, the customer. Not very often do you run into honest business owners more concerned with quality and reputation than the dollar. I would not hesitate to recommend Kraftician to any of my friends or family. Thanks Tom for excellent customer service and true professionalism. We look forward to working with you for any future tile, stone or flooring needs.
