The team at Kitchen Counsel transformed our kitchen and brought it out of the 1950’s. Mike designed the perfect layout and John H brought it to life. They were professional, friendly, and always on time. Mike said job would be complete in five weeks and it was. John is a perfectionist and took care of every last detail. We are so grateful for the beautiful work they did and will not hesitate to call on them again.

I had over 10 estimates on my kitchen and Kitchen counsel was by far the best. I hired Mike to redo my kitchen a month ago and everything was custom built and the price was reasonable. Mike is very patient, thorough and punctual. I chose him because of the reviews i read on here and he brought samples of everything when we had met. My wife and I had Mike and the Kitchen Counsel team renovate our kitchen, redo our ceilings and a ½ bath floor. For the kitchen it was a complete redo, installation of new appliances, new island setup, countertops, backsplash and cabinets. This was not our first renovation project after being homeowners for many years. After multiple estimates with other contractors, we decided to go with Kitchen Counsel. The process at Kitchen Counsel is in depth and done with professionalism and a mind of looking at your project with your best interests in mind. From the beginning with the estimate, Mike came to our house, listened to our thoughts on the project, and laid out all the plans (we had even asked for some changes along the way and it went as smooth as could be). He was thorough and explained exactly what he would be doing, making recommendations of what had done in past projects. The team was very professional and Mike answered any questions we had along the way. The best aspect about Mike and his business, is the care that's put into the work. He and his team genuinely want you to be ecstatic with the outcome, and that's exactly what we were. Bill was excellent-meticulous and thoughtful with how he put my Spanish tile kitchen backsplash together. He made the pattern work, seamlessly and cut the tiles perfectly. Highly recommend!

Best service we could get, Mike is very responsible and very professional, very aware of our needs, my house is very old and my floors are uneven, but Mike and his team did an excellent job leveling the cabinets, I am very satisfied with their work... they deserve more than 5 stars! Mike Talmage is fabulous! I knew from the get-go that he was the guy I wanted to replace my kitchen floor and prepare my base cabinets for a new countertop. He showed up with a five foot level and thoroughly evaluated the condition of my kitchen floor, which the other two contractors I consulted didn't bother to do. He asked to see the floor joists in my basement and noted that one had shifted. The other two contractors didn't notice. He informed me that my floor wasn't level enough for a rigid vinyl plank floor -- which I was ready to purchase -- and recommended a glue-down version. He and two skilled, hard-working associates then leveled my old floor as best as it could be leveled (my house was built in 1919) and the new floor looks wonderful! After the countertop was installed, Mike came back to reconnect the plumbing. That was a tough job, because I bought a new garbage disposal with a very complicated design. He went out to get a part that didn't come with the new sink and didn't charge me for it. Mike then took care of a few other requests I had. This last part of the job took more than three hours of his time on a Saturday. If you need to have any kind of kitchen work done, I am sure you will be very, very happy with Kitchen Counsel!

We chose the right company to remodel our kitchen when we went with Kitchen Counsel. Mike was great to deal with from the very beginning. He was up front about what could done, how long it would take, his prices were reasonable and I was thrilled that I could have any color cabinets I wanted. He gave us a 5 week window for completion (of course, we have an older house, so I added two more weeks for unforeseen problems). The job was completed in 5 weeks – Wow! I have to say the best part of this whole experience was working with Mike's team. I can't say enough about how much John and Jack did for us during this process. They definitely went above and beyond the task and did a wonderful job. The cabinets are custom made maple, their doors are perfectly hung and balanced, the quality is perfect. I am totally thrilled with my new kitchen and would 100% recommend Kitchen Counsel for any job. Thank you sooo much Mike!!

We are very pleased with our kitchen remodel performed by Kitchen Counsel and crew. Mike was very pleasant and accommodating to work with. He takes great pride in his workmanship, and is very meticulous making sure everything is perfect. Which is what you want when having fine cabinetry installed. Our new cabinets are very sturdy, functional and beautiful. Grade A materials for a reasonable price. Being first time remodels Mike helped us immensely from start to finish. We highly recommend him and already have!
