As everyone in this area (SW FL) knows, it was difficult to find contractors after hurricane Ian. I spent weeks trying to find a contractor to repair my home. I read some reviews online and got a few estimates. I finally decided to use Just Counters & Other Stuff. I’m glad I did. Just Counters repaired and remodeled my house. It looks Awesome!! Just Counters performed all the inside work. They demoed my damaged kitchen cabinets as well as the bathroom vanities, removed soffits and the floor tile throughout my house. They replaced all the damaged drywall, installed new flooring, kitchen cabinets, bathroom vanities, recessed lighting in the kitchen, living room, and master bath. They also converted a den into a bedroom, adding a closet to the room. I worked with Ashley who helped with the design of my kitchen and bathrooms. Ashley assisted me with choosing my new floor tiles, countertop and paint colors. I’m not the best at color coordination, LOL. I know what I like when I see it but not too good at designing and putting everything together. Ashley was great to work with and communicated with me regularly. She promptly returned my phone calls and text messages. After we came up with the final design, Just Counters sent a team to my house, including Mark & Kathy the owners, to review our design and take final measurements. My plans included removing one of the French doors to the den to extend my kitchen cabinets. Mark suggested removing both doors and relocating the entrance to the bedroom. What a great idea. I went along with Mark’s suggestion. What a big improvement to my kitchen. I’m so glad Mark made that suggestion. I love it! My house looks great! I’ve received compliments from everyone that has seen it. When the project was complete, they sent a team to correct any and all items on my punch list. Aaron did a great job! I also want to add that everyone I dealt with at Just Counters was very friendly. I had a very good experience and I highly recommend Just Counters! I know I will use them again on a future project.

Just counters did a fabulous job in my guest bathroom. I wanted to get rid of the tub and put in a shower enclosure. Met with Ashley, who was very responsive…… came to my home to look at what I wanted. Gave me several suggestions and was so helpful. Got back to me promptly. The 2 guys who came to do the work (can’t remember their names) worked very hard and efficiently, and did a beautiful job in transforming my bathroom. I would recommend them in a minute. I also want to say a few years ago (just before Covid) Mark and his team did another beautiful job in renovating my kitchen with new cabinets and counters.

I'm still traumatized by the condescending woman who came into my home to give us an estimate. She only took two photos for this 'estimate', one of which was a photo of a full garbage canister inside a closet. Neither of which photo was relevant to doing work in our home. She then told us she "wouldn't be doing this house because she was too busy with other projects". Understandably it was a small house and we appeared poor. But it's inexcusable to treat another human being that way.

Had a new bathroom vanity, countertop and cabinet over the toilet installed. Product was very nice quality. Installation was very professional in that one of the cabinet doors was damaged and they marked it and informed that it would be replaced. Our contacts to them during the job were returned promptly so we were never left in the dark. They also kept us up to date on delivery as the pandemic and material shortages were a factor. Should the need arise we would use them again without hesitation.

The positive experience began with visiting the showroom. Our designer was understanding of our wants, and needs. She put it all together for our approval. World of mouth can be the perfect way to find exactly what you are looking for. Two of our dear friends suggested us contacting Just Counters & Other Stuff Inc. and specifically, Michele Rose, their very experienced kitchen designer. Michele is a great listener and came out to my home to meet with me, discuss my needs and desires. A week later we met with this very talented designer who shared two kitchen design options for us. After tweaking the design just a bit we are now anxiously awaiting for our beautiful new kitchen. We also met with the owners, Mark and Kathy who assisted us in answering all of our concerns and added additional design input. Our experience with Michele Rose has been stellar and we are certain that with the expertise of all that work for this company that our kitchen will be amazing. Kudos to Cindy and Bill who also assisted us. Yesterday we completed our kitchen renovations by Just Counters! Our kitchen is…..Fantastic. Stunning. Unique. Just perfect! I can’t say enough about this company and all of the people involved with our project. Even with a design tweak halfway through the project, which extended our remodel time, we are incredibly pleased. They are a very professional company. i ordered all new kitchen cabinets and the whole project turned out beautiful. ashley was very helpful with style & selection, plus came to my house since i was unable to go to the showroom. the installers were quite literally jacks of all trades, from the removing of the old cabinets and installation of the new, even changed an electric plug out for me, and reinstalling the pluming and sink. they were very conscientious with the handling of my property. i would highly recommend just counters & other stuff if you are looking for good quality products at an afforable price.

I totally agree with Lucille P.! I can't believe there are any complaints at all about Just Counters. My husband and I are building a house in PGI and are working with Tammy at Just Counters. She has been a great help to us in designing our kitchen cabinet layout, as well as all other cabinets (indoor and out) for our new home. She is friendly, efficient and highly knowledgeable. We have really enjoyed working with her and appreciate her willingness to answer all of our questions with a smile and great patience!

I realized that I had not taken the time to write a review for Just Counters. So today I checked yelp and I am shocked to see negative reviews. This was one of the best experience we had building our home in Punta Gorda. D M Dean was our builder and we had 2 suggested cabinet companys to contact. I called Just Counters after visiting the other choice. To this day I think, wow I am so glad I made the call. The cabinet selection was perfect for us. The wood selections were nice however the fact that the manufacture offered glaze at no extra charge was a major plus not to mention a variety of edge detail. All the little things can add up when you go to another company. We worked with Tammy and she is a professional. The owner was there for our first walk thru. I had pondered an adjustment and he looked at the area and came up with a better suggestion at no cost to us. Working with Just Counters was a smooth seamless experience. After our experience I recommended them to my friend who was working with a builder and they were very satisfied. Actually they encounters numerous issues with their builder, but Just Counters was a great experience for them also.

I just completed a laundry room remodel with the help of Just Counters & other stuff. I couldn't be more pleased wit the results. Michelle (designer) listened to all my requests & then created a display for me to pick & choose from. When I wanted a specific color quartz counter Mark (owner) found a supplier (Imex) for me. Everyone including all the front office staff couldn't have been nicer. I was pleased that Mark come out & re-measured before placing the cabinet order. It assured that there were not going to be any 'surprises'. Every step of the project was flawless & completed ahead of schedule. I will definitely use JCOS again in the future for my kitchen remodel.

Our house was completed in June. Bonnie did a great job helping us design the kitchen we wanted. The cabinets arrived on time and looked beautiful. Just counters showed up to replace a cracked door that I had not yet discovered. Brian came to replace the door and was very efficient and helpful. Later I had some problems with the soft drawer closures on some of the drawers. I called and two guys, (sorry, I don't remember their names) came out on time and we went over all of the drawers to make sure they worked properly . I found another crack in a cabinet door that I had previously missed. They ordered a replacement which took several months to arrive. Cindy called and set up an appointment to replace the door. She was very pleasant to talk to. Brian was right on time and again very pleasant, efficient and helpful. Everyone that we worked with was so nice and helpful. Yes, we had a few problems but they were all addressed and fixed.

The builder warned us that it would be painful, but the end product would be very beautiful. The builder was correct. The owner of the company cost us a plane ticket from CT to FL and 3 lost days from work, for us to pick out our cabinets, which he never wrote down what we picked out. This then caused the home to be delayed another month. The lack of communication between the Mark and the home builder, caused more money to be spent to move electical outlets. The cabinets are in and they are beautiful, but we have been waiting for the past two months for some final items to be done (replace broken door, pullout drawers, and handles). The stories started with that the items were in the shop, to they were never ordered, to they are on the FedEx truck due for delivery Wed, no wait Thur, no wait Fri to they are in. We were lucky to have the email and cell number for the owner (Mark). It was nice to listen to his voicemail and watch our emails go unanswered. HAHA not. Thank goodness they have Jeff as the installer, as he does excellent work. Also a thank you to Karen Rogers for sovling all the problems made by her boss.

Now it is 2024 , although they did finally come out to fix an replaced 3fronts of the cabinets . in march 2020 , again the paint is coming off in many more places..an now warping around the sink area...cabinets look 20 years old ! my old cabinet in my garage look better than these.. I not a messy, housekeeper , just me an my husband... an so unhappy with these ASPEC, CABINETS door style OXFORT ..Wearing terrible, just sick every time I clean , wipe them down... off course ,my warranty has expired.... I will have to put some money into them ,repair work ...to make them decent if I should decide to my home in the near future....! Just a heads up when remodeling or buying a new home ... ask questions on the quality of the paint job on your new cabinets.. an the warranty.. get in in writing , signed .Cabinets are very $$$$$$ ! Disgusted .an UNHAPPY ! update thank you...

I am just letting folks know so they are aware of how bad the communication and response time, along with the process of getting a kitchen in with Just Counters & Other Stuff Port Charlotte is. I started meeting with them in November 2022. Two different times Sherri came out to measure in our Ian destroyed house. The second measuring took place in January 2023. We went back and forth on some revisions and changes but communication and response time was very slow. I started emailing, calling and trying to get a hold of someone and finally in March was told that she wasn't there anymore. Supposedly she gave all her in process to them before leaving. However at least 2 dozen or MORE clients she failed to tell them about. Myself being one of them. Omg. So I was turned over to Sheila. She was awesome and responsive initially, understanding that I had lost MONTHs in my rebuild process. We met, finalized the drawings and then they were sending someone out for a final measure. In the mean time I made my deposit in March and was told someone would come for final measure. Nearly all the measurements they had from Sherri were wrong. These had to be corrected with the April 4th final measure. I was told they would be updated in the computer with drawings and they would order. Cabinet lead time was now down to 4 weeks. So I asked, ok, then around May 4th they should be in. Yes. Possibly 5 weeks but yes they would be ordered right away. If they came in mid May we would be looking at end of May install. Ok. Great. Around June I was getting antsy and started calling. Only to find out that 8 weeks after my final measure, the cabinets had not even been ordered yet. I almost lost my mind. What?? Initially I was told that once the cabinets came in, the entire process wouldn't take more than a week. Ok. So please get them ordered. The cabinets are estimated to come in July 12th but they wouldn't schedule me for install until they are physically there. I nearly lost my mind. So they finally did schedule me, but this is only for CABINET install. Then they tell me it could be weeks for a counter top to be installed after that. The counter has to be templated and then it will be weeks before they can get the countertop scheduled. This is NOT what was told to me numerous times prior to this. First off, this isn't my first rodeo. Multiple remodels under my belt. I have NEVER had to wait. Usually the countertop company knows your cabinet install date and they know when you will be templated and they can go ahead and schedule you for the countertop install so it's all done rather quickly. They will not do this. This company has dragged their feet at every single turn, making this kitchen a nearly 9 month project from start to finish. Assuming it may even get in in under 9 months. They don't care about what the customer is going through, or lag times, or dropped balls on their end. Now when you call they literally don't even answer. For all I know they went out of business and took my money with them. This is NOT a company that cares about their customers. They have horrific communication. They don't schedule in a way that makes sense. If I hadn't already given them my money I would never finish with them. Please, if you need a kitchen, there are other places you can go that are far superior. I just want to save everyone the headache and nightmare I am living. ---waiting on a kitchen for 8+ months.

Paid to have them come to house for estimate on bathroom remodel. We liked the one brand of cabinets they handle. Took a while for the designer who is very time independent. After arriving at review and not liking her design she became very offensive. Only help after that was to give us a app to look for ideas. Paid $125 for this horrible service which really was lack of service. As far as the rest of the project told we needed to sign contract for them to see if what we wanted could accurately be done with modification to one wall. Unfortunately they are the only rep for these cabinets in the area. Very unhappy with this business. Dreadful customer service or application for business. They take advantage of people with the money grab to come to the house for project and deliver zero results. Rated one because I'd be unable to comment with a zero which was earned.

I stopped in and requested a bid on a property for cabinets. Their price came in higher than two other quotes. I was honest and informed them theirs was higher and gave them the opportunity to bid two other properties. They declined to bid on future projects and wouldn't answer as to why. Clearly they don't expect or want customers to find other bids as they would have to be competitive. Also sales rep was rude through emails when she didn't get an immediate response to a voicemail she left me...which were made from an out of state phone number. As I'm reading reviews on google and BBB I'm starting to see a trend. They must be too busy to be professional and don't want to bother trying to be competitive. Look elsewhere.

It was nearly a year ago but since they're again at the area 'home show' I wanted to add this to warn others. We got an estimate from this company for granite in our sizable kitchen. We decided to go for it. We advised them we needed a Monday or Tuesday appointment for the template. We got a voicemail saying they would be at the house on Thursday. !!!! I returned the call and reminded them I needed a Monday or Tuesday and to please give me a call so we could coordinate times. To this day, nearly a year later, we never heard back from the owner of this company, who had originally called about our template appointment. Not a good way to do business, in my humble opinion. We have taken our business, and money, elsewhere. Why would anyone want to do business with such an unreliable company??
