I’ve wanted to renovate my kitchen from the moment I purchased my house. I had a basic builder grade kitchen with oak cabinet fronts that a former owner stained herself. They looked…bad. I had simple white tile counters and a breakfast bar. When I got serious about renovating I started at Lowe’s. After choosing the cabinets I wanted (at what appeared to be a great price) I started noticing how little else was included. Counters? Separate. Sink installation? Separate. Backsplash? Separate. Electrical? Hire a handyman. I was reeling at the idea of trying to find people to piecemeal my kitchen. I decided to get a contractor opinion and called JL Custom Tile and left a message. I then called Allied Builders and left a message. Imagine my surprise when I got a call back minutes later from their office manager explaining to me they had merged. I got two contractors in one. The owner of JL Tile came by a couple days later. He listened to me. Made me immediately feel comfortable. He provided a comprehensive written estimate the following day and without question I signed a contact. I couldn’t be happier with their work. Every single member of their crew was courteous, polite, and cleaned up at the end of every day. If the best sign of a satisfied customer is repeat business? I’m there too. Even before they’d finished my kitchen, we had them write up an estimate for the master bathroom. Home renovations are expensive. But the quality for what I paid? Crazy good. I am a lifetime customer and have two more bathrooms crying out for the JL Tile & Allied Builders magic.

Work started on January 4th and was finished in a little over 3 weeks. They tore out our step up/step down shower tub and installed a beautiful walk in shower with bench. They were respectful of the property and us. They were master craftsmen in their product and we couldn’t be happier. The double sink counter is gorgeous. They matched the grain and it looks like it just flows.

J L Tile put in a new quartz countertop, sink, faucet, island countertop, and backsplash for me. All the guys who work there, as well as Keri, were so professional, friendly, and just overall nice. My kitchen looks dramatically different, and came out exactly the way I wanted! The backsplash looks fantastic! The gentlemen who did the installation work finished in a timely manner and cleaned up after themselves completely. John, the owner, came out to do the estimate, and he was so knowledgeable and friendly. After looking over reviews and pics of other work they had done we decided to hire them, and it was the best decision we could have made. Excellent job!

We had our original tile kitchen counters replaced with quartz but we kept the oak cabinets as we were on a budget. JL did the demo and installed the slab and new stainless sink and we are happy with the outcome.

I needed a 96in quartz vanity top with dual under mount sinks and faucet holes drilled for our bathroom remodel, literally the last piece of the puzzle. We went in on a Tuesday and told them what we were looking for and went back and selected a slab that day. Full disclosure, we had an order placed with Lowes that would have us waiting for a month longer than the original delivery date which was that Tuesday. I got the quote the next day from JL and asked if we could get a rush job done and they said yes and we had a vanity top that Friday afternoon. I can't thank them enough for taking care of us on such a last minute order. Keri and John are extremely professional and will recommend them time and time again! The lesson here for me was box stores aren't always the way to go. Let the professionals handle it.

I love my Cambria countertops done by JL Custom Tile and Stone. John (the owner) and Keri (office manager) were very helpful. I live in Sacramento, but chose to go with JL, even though they are located in Vacaville. They were very helpful, very responsive, very patient, and had state of the art equipment used to cut your stone. I had considered Kitchen Mart, but they were ridiculously expensive. Then I went to the showroom store for American Dreamworks in North Highlands, but I didn't think the people there was very friendly...in fact the girls at the desk if American Dreamworks were snobby and rude. If you are interested in a unique countertop, go with the brand Cambria and have JL do the fabrication. I do recommend going to American Dreamworks first to view their showroom (they have an amazing display), but then go to JL to purchase and get the job done. I am very happy with them and I'm very picky. They also met my timeline to get my countertop installed before friends came to town for a visit. Thanks JL.

From design to completion, they will help with all your slab/stone/tile needs. I've used them twice now on projects at my home. John and Crystal personally completed my latest project and together they finished off a bathroom shower remodel that turned out fantastic. What can I say about Jl custom tile and Stone! Their material, and workmanship, was impeccable. They did an amazing job on my kitchen and I truly love it. John the owner without even knowing me spent a half an hour going over the different types of products out there that you can buy and why his product is better. He did not sell me a gimmick he sold the truth and asked me to come to the shop so that he could show me himself and the proof was undeniable. The process was official and smooth, he quoted me a total of four working days from start to finish and end up being five total working days which in my book was a success! I was honestly worried that once my kitchen was in ruins after demo, I would not hear from anybody for weeks. But that clearly didn't happen, my total project length was 11 days including the weekend! John and his staff were great to work with and attentive to detail! I would hire them again in a heartbeat and actually plan to after the dust settles on this last project. This would not be a real review if there were not some constructive feedback provided. I would say the communication could use a little refining. I had a few instances when I did not know about arrival times or was not able to reach someone directly about follow up to some questions or concerns I had throughout the process. But I have to admit that I'm a little particular when it comes to those kinds of things! In the end John and his team eventually communicated everything and got the job done and done right! I was ecstatic about the results and they definitely earned their 5 STAR REVIEW!!!!! I would recommend them to anyone! It's hard to find a good contractor that you can trust, so a big thank you to JL Custom Tile and Stone, your business is truly a hidden gem in Solano County and Vacaville.
