Yes, we would recommend JDS Surfaces. Their work was done beautifully with granite. They did fireplace framing, bedroom furniture tops, bathroom countertops and shower seats.

Purchased countertops through IKEA, who uses JDS Surfaces. BLUF: The final product is gorgeous, but the journey getting there was extremely painful. The ONLY person with whom we worked that treated us respectfully was Jose, the owner. Everyone else, especially the receptionist, was rude and/or disrespectful. The receptionist wouldn't even acknowledge me when I visited the showroom. Her phone etiquette needs a lot of work. The installers made messes in the kitchen when getting ready to install the countertops. They finally cleaned them up, but only after having an attitude and almost breaking our oven. Eventually, they cleaned up before they left. But dealing with them, communicating with them, getting an attitude when trying to work with them...extremely frustrating. Again, beautiful final product. But if dealing with anyone other than Jose, good luck.

I am using jds through ikea. So far communication is lacking. I have had to reach out to them every step of the way. It has taken more than 2 weeks since measuring to get material and get it set up for install again with me needing to reach out to them to find out when they could install. When they showed up to install, they put in one piece and then took it out and told us that they were leaving and the office would contact us. Again, I had to call them and find out that a piece was damaged and that they needed more time to investigate. So far this company has delayed this kitchen being done for almost 2 weeks from the promised date. If they werent the sole vendor for ikea I would not use them.

We bought our kitchen counters at ikea and JDS is the local installer. They did a FANTASTIC job. I was a little hesitant when they came to template and were measuring by hand (previous kitchen they did laser measurements with CNC cuts), but when they came on site, they did final cuts by hand for a perfect fit! They installers were very friendly and let the kitchen cleaner than when they arrived. I’d highly recommend JDS for future work. I’m keeping them in mind for our bathroom renovations.

0 friends 6 reviews 1/11/2018 I ordered countertops through Ikea who apparently works with JDS as subcontractors for fabrication and install. Horrible expierience...I will start with the most egregious. (1) They moved the range to install the counter and in doing so DISCONNECTED the GAS line. There was a gas leak in my TOWNHOUSE for 24 hours until I found out. (2) The counters were installed, but I could NOT OPEN my CABINETS. Don't they do this for a living???!!! (3) I asked them to measure an area, but to NOT order the product, since I wasn't sure I was going to use the material. They sent the order through Ikea anyway. When I called to cancel that portion, I was told it was too late that it was already fabricated. (4) Legs to support the product were supposed to be included, but then I was told it would be an additional charge. (5) Eric insisted I had to meet his guy at the property who would show me several other support options...the guy showed up with a piece of metal. Total waste of my time.

JDS just removed my old kitchen island and built a new larger single level Island. We also had new quartz countertops installed and a new backsplash installed. They also had to move plumbing and electrical. Ozzie and Ryan are very good to work with. All construction has issues and they were very good at getting things right.

JDS Surfaces was an absolute pleasure to deal with, from my initial contact requesting a bid to the completion of our new countertop installation, and throughout every step in that process from beginning to end. The front office operation was always quick to respond with answers to my many questions. Thank you Edgar for your patience and guidance. With keen attention to detail and highly skilled technique, the well-trained crew of craftsmen, who are truly masterful artisans, were friendly, polite, and respectful professionals. JDS is a class act. You won't be disappointed. P.S. Of course price matters. "You get what you pay for," and all that. It just so happens JDS was several thousand dollars LESS expensive than their so-called competitors. Just icing on the cake...

I cannot thank or praise these guys enough. What a professional and excellent group of guys to work with! Updating my kitchen, I chose to bite the bullet for countertops. I was in love with the Brazilian granite, Delicus White and wanted to do my countertops in this granite. I tried to get reputable companies through Home Advisor but no one called me back. Searching for companies online that serviced the east side of Las Vegas online, I found JDS Surfaces. It's a family-owned small business. Jose Maldonado returned my call and visited my home to measure and draft the proposal. I accepted the proposal and working carefully with his office staff (thank you, Edgar), we took care of payments and install dates. Day of install, the guys were on time. They removed my old granite and when they brought in my new Delicus White granite, I just said, "WOW", it's more beautiful than I imagined. The team led by Davila did an excellent job. They were professional, efficient, and paid great attention to detail. Vladimir was the plumber contracted to hook up my water to the disposal and dishwasher the next day. I couldn't be happier with the outcome. JDS Surfaces is an EXCELLENT resource for countertops for commercial or residential needs. Thanks guys!

With all the con artists & unlicensed workers in Vegas, I did extensive research before selecting JDS Surfaces to create & install my new kitchen countertops and breakfast bar. Response to my initial phone call was prompt and their quote for Hanstone beat 2 other bids. Four days after final measurement, 3 workers did a perfectionist job and then cleaned every inch of my kitchen. Over the past 40 years I've hired many contractors to work on my homes in 3 states. As such, I rate JDS Surfaces with all 5 GOLD stars.

Very over priced! I got a quote from them to replace a counter top in a half bath for almost 1,500.00. I then called another company and they are doing the same job for 600.00. It's incredible the prices that some of these companies try to charge you. Don't they realize that the homeowner will most likely get multiple bids? Not only did I not go with them, but I am writing this negative review.

Jds is the countertop installer that ikea uses to put in their countertops. There is a general lack of communication from their office. I had to reach out to them after being told that they would call. It took them 4 days to return my call. I then got a measurement apt which they had to change 2 hrs after booking it. There were some change orders through ikea that were taken care of same day. Jds didnt reach back out to get the ball rolling and when I called them 3 or 4 days later they told me they hadn't even ordered the stone yet. A process that I was told by the measurement guy should at most take 10 days had gone long into the third week. Yesterday they showed up to install and found some damage that they hadn't seen loading it up and it had to go away. All we were told is that the shop would call us. I called them to find out the status and was told they would call back later. After not hearing from them for most of the day I called again and was told that they would install the next morning and gave me a 2 hr window. I asked that they call 20 min out so I could meet them at the house. I called when they opened to check the status to plan when I needed to go to the house and was told they were almost there. I rushed to the house to get this over with then waiting almost 40 min for them to show up as the office didnt know when they had left. Overall a very frustrating experience. If I do ever go with ikea kitchens again I will make sure to not use this vendor as there is a lack of customer service

Ordered two stainless steel countertops and paid $5000 for them. The wood was done by JD Surfaces and the SS was sub contracted to Stainless Steel Fabrications. The underlayment was cut short and the tops were flimsy. The front wasn't level and now the sinks don't sit flush. The brackets holding the counters up are not square. There is no pride in the quality of workmanship. The persons involved also didn't show respect for our site security procedures. JDS makes you call their main number and has not offered a direct number or cell phone to call when quality issues arise. They scheduled rework for a Monday and after coordinating access they failed to show without providing notification.
