Please read before you choose this company!!! I am absolutely disgusted and appalled by the experience we just had with this company. The brown stone is the stone we chose on the website and the gray stone is what was delivered. We were told after waiting two hours for Slate from sales to call us back (the delivery guys had to sit around and wait too) that the stone we chose was not stone that they even had! They gave us the choice of ordering something else and going without a kitchen for the next several weeks or accepting a $250 discount on the $4k project. Not having a real choice as we cannot go without a kitchen and them not having any other stone that remotely looked like what we originally chose and designed our entire kitchen around, we accepted the discount after waiting another hour for Slate to call “The powers that be” (owner Tyler who apparently didn’t want to be bothered on vacation) and tell us to take the discount or they were leaving. How it took 4 total hours to make two phone calls and then deny our request of at least 1000$ off the job since it was completely their error is beyond me. After they left we noticed there is a huge crack all the way through the slab and we’ve been calling them for two days straight asking for someone to come out and look at it. Nobody will call us back, we’ve had to keep calling and keep getting told the scheduler Kayla is out sick and then Slate telling us that nobody is going to come out, that it’s natural crack which is laughable- it literally goes the entire width and depth through the counter in the middle of the slab. We even had another stone company come out and confirm it’s a crack; they along with four other contractors and stone workers in the area told us that they get calls like this all the time due to Jackson Stonework negative reputation for messing up and their unwillingness to make things right for clients for decades. So I’m writing this review because the reviews I read here are a complete misrepresentation of our experience and it would have saved us a lot of time and money to know they had this reputation before we ordered from them. Beyond being stuck with the complete wrong stone because they have a stone loaded on their website that they do not even carry (which they still haven’t taken down), we’re left with a damaged $4k stone job that they’re refusing to fix, so we will likely now have to pay someone else to do it since they are not returning our calls. This is so foul, I can’t believe this company stays in business when this is how they treat their customers. You should be ashamed of yourselves and I hope more of your customers that have received similar service, additionally void of accurate and quality product speak up to make sure no one else is victim to your appalling treatment and lack of accountability. -Tara Lange ***update!!! the fact that they haven’t responded since left this review on 12/18 speaks volumes when every other review has been responded to within a day or two. The folks at Jackson Stoneworks questioned the pattern ordered by designer at Home Depot so I went and selected correct pattern. So glad for the extra service as pattern now matches the other cabinets. Small job but perfectly satisfied with final product. Installers were courteous and efficient.

Jackson Stoneworks has the best selection of slabs in the North Florida area. The workmanship is top notch. The installation service was good too. The only issue we had was the billing. Our invoice total changed several times. We added the bathroom counter top, so that was expected. The other charges were incurred because they left out a run of cabinets, but then we were charged for double corners on the peninsula. They adjusted the invoice within reason and we are appreciative of that. My only word of advice is to ask questions so you don’t have any surprises. We are very satisfied with the finished product and look forward to installing the tile backsplash to complete the reno on our 40 year old kitchen.

We had our kitchen tops redone and we are so happy with the job and service provided by Jackson Stoneworks. The crew on Truck 3 were quick, knowledgeable and courteous. They were here and gone before we knew it. They took the time to explain how to care for the counter tops and to avoid spills and stains. Would definitely recommend

I had Luis and Joe on Truck 1 from Jackson Stoneworks come and install my buffet counter today and they did a great job! Can't see the seam at all and the two outlet holes they made were perfect! I'm so incredibly pleased with their work and the company.

Jackson was the best! From the start of my project I was impressed! Jackie was great! I spoke with Kayla a few times and she was so courteous, professional and was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!! I cannot say enough great things about Kayla! The installation process went GREAT! I believe we had truck 3 and that team was nothing short of amazing! I would recommend Jackson to anyone and will use them in future projects!!! AMAZING JOB, JACKSON TEAM!!!

Jackson did an excellent job all around! Great advice during the selection period by the team. Scheduling and measuring or courteous, and always on time. The installers, Chad, Joe and Fernando did an excellent and speedy job. they were all exceptionally courteous during the installation process, which only took about 30 minutes and they took the time to explain how to care for the stone, I could not be more pleased!

Every aspect of this process from measurement (Patrick) to customer service and payment (Jackie, Kayla) to the design team to installation has been impressive and professional. Had Jackson Stoneworks out about a year ago as they were the contractor that Home Depot used to install granite countertops. They did an exceptional job a year ago. More recently, I had a bbq installed and the granite company that worked with those installers had some machine issues that were going to delay the completion by several months. They said I could get my countertop elsewhere if I wanted, so based on last year's experience, I called Jackson stoneworks again. They not only did not disappoint, they EXCEEDED my expectations! They were super speedy with getting the template guy out and very proactive in working with the bbq people to get this project completed. I would absolutely hire them again and highly recommend them.

Tyler has helped me with the countertops in two houses and has not only spent time explaining the differences between the types of stones but how they wear, maintenance requirements and has sent hours in patiently showing selections available. The installations have been perfection. I highly recommend them and would always go local!! Very happy customer

My under mounted sink started slipping and I called so many places around town and none of them would help me fix this problem. When I got in contact with Jackson stoneworks, they came out and repaired it without any problem, took about an hour and they even covered it under my warranty so I didn't have to pay a thing. I am so happy with their service and repair would contact them again if I have any future problems.

Worked with Annette for sales and Susie for scheduling. Both were excellent. I had an unusual situation where I had I deadline and they both worked very hard to meet this deadline. Once installed there was a small problem. They both worked until it was fixed. I've very happy with how these two worked with me and with the company too.

I work for another "public service" company if you will and I had to call Jackson Stoneworks to assist one of our elderly customers with a repair. I spoke with April there and explained the circumstances and she was very helpful, friendly and empathetic to the situation. After just this interaction if I ever need stonework they will be one of the first places I call. Customer service is a dying "art", but it goes an extremely long way.

Omg pretty bad service!! First time there I ordered counter top no problem the team that came out were great and pleasant! With such a great service I had the first time I figured I would try them to get my subway tiles. What a mistake that was. Slate took the order... told me it would be 3 to 4 days it took a week not only did it take a week but I went down and I paid for the tiles and he placed my order. Needless to say I waited two weeks before I can have them install. The gentlemen comes in to install them and he didn't order enough tiles. I was six boxes short now I have to wait a month before I can have the tiles put on what a waste of my time. The person Installing them had to go on vacation and then I'm going on vacation while I wasn't a happy camper. I would've like if he would've done them before we both went on vacation.!! There's more not only do you order for your tiles, but you have to pay them $150 for the tiles to be delivered to the place of business talk about double dipping!!

I am absolutely disgusted with this company. First off I wanted to cancel a a month ago and I was told I was going to get hit with all these cancellation fees, so instead of losing the money I let them continue with the job, big mistake. They can out on a Tuesday to do the install, I got a call five days later that they couldn't install the granite because I had a back splash up and there would be a $400 charge for them to return. They just came up with a number and they holding my job hostage until I pay this charge. So now they are paid and I have nothing installed and they won't finish the job till I agree to pay there hostage fee of $400, my receipt has a fee of $100 delivery already, so how would be $400 to re-return. Read the reviews over the past Month this is getting more common with this company. I would avoid doing business with them at all costs cause once they have your money they can hold you hostage. They will probably come up with a stupid Excuse in the comments like they do when everyone else complains.

sent pictures to Tyler of my granite countertops that have faded where i had something laying on counter. He had no answers for me as to why this has happened. He did say he could come out to house for $400 first hour and the $100 every hour after that. I responded as to what was going to be done that first hour for $400 and he has not responded. My entire new home has countertops from Jackson Stoneworks because that's who my builder used. I will never use them again and will let my builder know how Tyler treats his customers.

What a poor decision we made choosing Jackson Stoneworks to update our kitchen ! To make a long story short, project manager (SC)did not return numerous phones calls. Scheduler (SI)does not return phone calls timely. Its Usually two to three days after the message was left she calls back and and prefers communicates via email especially if she has bad news to share. When they finally came to install the countertops, they found that they missed an outlet that was lower than the rest so they had to take the back splashes back to have them cut correctly. On the second visit, they missed on the back splashes again!! Which meant back for a third cut. Their contract and their wording in their communications are not customer service friendly and are threatening in a manner that would suggest the customer is pretty much responsible for everything pre-install and that the customer is not trusted and basically they can do things as they want to do them! They require as part of the contract a second payment method. To make sure they get their money even when they already received 50% up front They eventually got the countertops in, but this was far from a pleasant experience, mainly due to the lack of communication from project manager and their ineptness to get the back splashes cut correctly. You know it must be a problem when you are telling the installers how the office treated us and their response was, thats not the first time we have heard that. I can see why this company has mediocre ratings as I spoke with owner Tyler Riles, who was condescending to me and offered little assistance with these issues. Employees follow their leaders and thats why there is no customer service and poor quality product when it comes to be installed The finished product is ok but definitely not worth all the hassles. I would stay far far away from using this company!

we were put in touch with them from home depot. total surface of our project was 50 sq foot, they insisted on charging us for 70, including amongst other things double measuring two corners for waste, despite there only being 3" needed on edge. Charged us for a ton of stuff which seemed to be included in the home depot in store ad and came in at 8.5k, almost doubel what we figured. then came back with 6.5 after talking with their home depot partner and removing the multiple extra charges for edging, delivery, template and so on, but sticking with a 40% waste charge (they not only charge for wasted material but also for the labor not to install the mateiral. Home depot manager said they never talked to them. 30% waste is about average per google search for industry standard but this was a simple install with little need for much waste. THey woudl not budge from their 40%. Going elsewhere now. Lots of bait and switch... home depot woudl not honor their memorial day sale price because the contract had to be signed before the sale ended....how does that ever happen when it takes as week or two for them to come out, give you an inflated quote then a... ooops quote.

STAY AWAY! SCAM of a company. I'd give negative stars if I could. Called to get my under mounted sink fixed and was quoted $400. They asked for my credit card information prior to completion or even start of project; which was later referred to as a "down payment". Look elsewhere.

STAY AWAY. We ordered a kitchen top and backsplash. They came to measure then send us shop drawings. I told them i would not be responsible for any measurements. When they arrived to install the installer was smoking. He threw cigarettes all over my yard while setting up. Then all he kept saying was we need a tip we need a tip. Then he started bantering back and forth with his coworkers about all the times they have been in prison. Now at this point i am very displeased but just want them out of my house. They ended up putting a seam in the middle of my sink. I have never seen that done nor do I approve. I have contacted management to pick up their product. The seam is so poorly done the veins don't match. The team left their garbage in my own trash can outside, left my deck completely dirty and didn't even care. Trust me when i say stay away. Management has not responded to my calls nor made any attempts to fix. Please stay away don't use.

Once again what a very disappointing experience and all deliberate and unnecessary and not the first time for me with Jackson stoneworks, again recommended by Angie's list. Which in itself is another huge headache as customer service doesn't exist, I was put on hold for hours at a time, left messages, calls not returned, in the i emailed there customer service resolution team still no response, finally going into the fourth week I heard from a "Kelly". Home advisor is now part of Angie's, what a complete train wreck of a organization. So my last review of Jackson Stone works the owner begged me to take it down as it affected his business so much which I did after he had done the job according to contract. So 06/11/2021 I signed a contract for new kitchen countertops, paid in full, Blanco Sardo granite. On 7/7/21 to schedule template, that was scheduled for the week 7/15/21, and the following week installation. But they I received a call saying that the granite I ordered was out of stock and no more could be got, I found myself other vendors that still had it, They asked me to pick something else on 08/24/21 so again I went there and what did I find 5 slabs of the granite I ordered back in June I only needed one, so all along I had been lied to saying they didn't have it but it was there all along so as I see it Jackson Stoneworks and homeadvisor are liable and my kitchen is still a shambles. They wanted a extra $600 and for me to choose something else what a con job. I have documentation to back everything up and pictures.

Was going to buy from here. Not impressed with the sales team. One lady wears a mask over mouth but not nose‍. That started the frustration. Prices are not clear. They need better sales organization and labeling. After reading Google reviews went elsewhere

If I could leave zero stars I would. Complete bait and switch. I spoke with their sales team multiple times, asking if the price per square foot I was quoted for the quartz I was wanting for an investment property was turnkey "fabrication and install" the female sales person said multiple times yes, it covers everything. I confirmed there are no other costs. She said no unless I were to want an elaborate edge or something. Spent a few days working with them and went out to their store to view pieces and finalize decision. Then they suddenly want 25% more than their original quote with no changes. Turns out the price for fabrication and install is $1000 more if you want to actually have them cut a hole for the range or sink, along with delivery (10 minutes from their office) which is apparently different from install. $1000 in fees that are not included until the last possible moment. Good luck making it in the recession, Jackson Stoneworks.

Dishonest, refused to allow us to examine and approve the specific slab, bait and switch, installed granite that contained large cracks, gouges, and deep scratches throughout, terrible customer service made promises but never followed up. $8,000 down the drain.

We saved for 4 years to renovate our home. This company missed 3 install dates including one that they showed up and everything was cut wrong. Finally installed and still wasn't right. I had to get the manufacturer involved to finally get them to come out and repair it and fix the damage they caused to my home. Renovation shouldn't have taken a month and took over three. All this on top of a bunch of unanswered calls, emails, being treated poorly and loosing a bunch of contractors due to missed dates. Oh and let's not leave out DO NOT PAY THEM WITH A DEBT CARD, they went into my account and took money out without our authorization before the job was even close to being complete. Call around and ask local contractors or even Lowes about this company.

About Jackson Stoneworks Kitchen and Bath in Gainesville. On Craigslist they advertise discontinued granite slabs leftover from former sales to Lowes purporting to offer the customer a special chance to have beautiful countertops at bargain prices. I purchased two of these granite slabs for a do it yourself project. The owner offered me a "great deal" - he offered to "throw in a remnant" of 13 inches needed to complete my countertop project. All the fabrication, cutting, etc. was charged at full price. After my husband picked up the granite and lifted the pieces into place on the countertop, we found that the "remnant" was not the same color as the rest of the stones, not even close. When I took back the remnant and a piece that had been cut from the main slabs to show them the difference, Tyler Ryals, the son, met me with ridicule, contempt, and hostility and he verbally degraded me with remarks about how cheap and poor we were to complain about a freebie involving such a lowly purchase. The attitude was that I was not worthy of being bothered with. When I was turned over to the dad, Jack Ryals, I remarked that I had been given poor customer service. The owner stated that I had insulted him and he was done with me, walking away. And that was that. I am left with a mismatched countertop that, though it wasn't a purchase in the thousands of dollars, was important to me, because as a stage 4 cancer patient fighting for my life with travel and medical expenses the last 8 years, the saving for this project wasn't easy. Finally I found on my invoice that I had indeed been charged $50 for this mismatched remnant! I wonder how much you have to spend at this company to be treated with basic human respect and dignity
