Terrible experience.
We paid for very expensive slabs and planned to use them for both counters and backsplashes in multiple rooms (kitchen, butlers pantry, bar, laundry, etc).
The work they did for us was very low quality and the customer service was even worse.
The issues...
LOW QUALITY:
The layouts we approved were very different than what got installed (veins did not line up, seams were visible, mitered edges did not match, etc)
TERRIBLE SERVICE:
This was a $$$ project and they have not come onsite to review the work their team did.
Jennifer and Kevin only responded after multiple calls/emails and when they did, they suggested that we were to blame and asked why they needed to come onsite.
Terrible quality and even worse customer service
Stay away!

J&H Granite came to our rescue! Our undermounted kitchen sink fell and it was difficult finding anyone willing to fix it. I left a message for J&H one evening and they called me back the next morning agreeing to help us. We got scheduled within a couple days and their people were professional and seemed quite knowledgeable. Very happy! Thank you!

Our third house project with J&H Granite. Our first project was a bathroom vanity countertop, and they just finished the granite walls for our master bathroom shower renovation. Turns out there was enough left over from that project to redo our kitchen island. This gives us a lot more space for cooking and a great looking countertop piece. We added the travertine tile ourselves to finish out the island. We highly recommend J&H Granite. Great customer service and their installers are the absolute best at their job!!

J&H Granite replaced a sink for me which required cutting the existing quartz countertops. Had a hard time finding someone to do this for a reasonable price. J&H did a great job, communicated well throughout the process and I will definitely have them do any future work for me.

J&H Granite did a fantastic job in fabricating and installing my granite countertop. Jennifer and Kevin were wonderful to work with through the entire process. Jennifer was quick to respond to emails and text messages. The installers had an eye for detail and precision as shown on the corner where the two slabs meet. Extremely professional group. I am so very pleased with the results. I highly recommend J&H Granite! I would not hesitate to use them again in the future.

Working with these professionals has always been a pleasure. Their friendly demeanor and efficient service make every interaction enjoyable! I've been buying counters from Jennifer for 12 years.
I do commercial and residential cabinets, and we make our acrylic, laminate, and wood counters. J and H do all our granite, Silestone, and other specialty counters. They are the best I have found. In forty years, I have used nine other shops that are just not as good as J and H.
I trust them at small transaction counters, large reception desks, banks, federal buildings, hospitals, and high-end homes. I appreciate them! Travis King Commercial Cabinets of Austin.

J&H Granite is Outstanding in fabrication, customer service and prices. We have just completed our 4th kitchen remodel and this was by far our best experience we have ever had and all of our experiences were great! Jennifer is professional and courteous and willing to spend time with her customers to help them in their selections and to answer their questions. Her prices were the best in the area without compromising quality of the finished product. We replaced all of our kitchen counters and couldn't be happier. Kevin worked with us on the fabrication of the counters to make sure we got the look we were looking for. Veronica kept us updated on the progress of our job which was completed weeks before we expected it to be. The installers did a fantastic job removing the old granite and installing our new granite. They installed our new sink and made sure that everything fit precisely as it should. They were neat and polite and treated our home as if it were their own. We went to all the Slab shops in the area (numerous times) and spoke with other fabricators. We are so glad that we chose J&H to do our kitchen. You won't go wrong using this company. They are top notch!

J&H Granite is the BEST place to buy your countertops from. I recently remodeled my home in different stages & bought ALL my granite countertops from them. Kitchen counter tops with sink provided by J&H, custom island top, custom desk top, custom dining room table top, custom master closet tops, custom back patio bar top, custom garage tops & hall bathroom top with sink provided by J&H. Veronica in the office is just AWESOME at what she does. She makes sure the customer is taken care of from the 1st phone call to the last phone call when the job is complete. Veronica will see that your experience with J&H is very professional & just top notch service. The installers also treat your home like their home when they are installing. That's a huge plus in my book.
I have my master bathroom left to remodel & I will DEFINITELY be calling them for my custom granite countertops with custom sinks installed.
I would highly recommend them for any & all your countertops needs

We just completed our second project with J & H Granite. We came back to them because of the great job they did on our first one, and they did not disappoint. Jennifer Hobbs worked with me to design what we had in mind. She even went out and found the perfect slabs of granite for us to complete the project with.
The crew that installed the granite was friendly and took great care to get everything installed perfectly. The one big piece they installed was extremely heavy, but they took their time and made sure it was right.
I highly recommend J & H Granite for any project!

One word....outstanding!
Came in one afternoon to look at the granite selection. Read good reviews about this place. I was skeptical because they only had 4 reviews on yelp.
The showroom is not all that big but they had everything in one room. Made it real easy. Lots of more slabs put back to look at aswell. I had gotten a bid from a few granite companies around town. Some were higher and lower. But I felt good talking to Veronica C. She made it seem painless. She gave us a quote on spot with a rough estimate of sq ft for our kitchen. We didn't really think about it too long and decided this was the company we were going to give our business to. So we did it on spot that day, We put half down. Veronica said the actual measurement will be taken at my house a couple days later.
Guy came out to measure everything. he was done less than an hour. He said we would hear back from veronica in a Few says because it was july 4th weekend as well. Earlier this week i get a call back saying they got it all cut and can install tomorrow! holy cow!!! that has to be the quickest turnaround time. it was maybe a week total!!! from time of deposit to install. I had no expectations of it being done that quick. Other companies were quoting us 3weeks +.
The install went great. I would highly recommend this place for any countertops.
i hope this review puts anyone to ease if you want to choose them.

Had them quote and install three different projects. Always excellent fit and finish and professional in dealing with them. They have a good crew working for them and the gear at the shop looks like they could handle any job. They send pictures with the layout cuts superimposed on the slab. Lets you move things around to pick up certain areas in the stone prior to do any cutting. Once you approve the cuts they then cut the slab and install. Really do nice seams on corners. The computer controlled cutting is precise and perfect. Had them cut out sinks on site and the cuts were done very well with perfect polished edges. Very impressed with their work. I recommend them to anyone I speak to that is thinking of doing a granite upgrade or new project.

We recently got granite in our kitchen and J&H did a great job!
We are particularly picky customers and they did everything right to our specifications.
Before selecting a fabricator, we talked to several and walked through almost all the granite yards in Austin.
J&H's estimate came in quickly and it was very reasonable, especially considering we ordered a sink that is not always in stock.
They installed the granite weeks before my deadline and made sure everything was perfect before they left.
From beginning to end, they were great people to work with!

4.5 Stars for the following reasons, based on a recent granite purchase and install in Jan. 2011.
J&H is a terriffic fabricator of stone countertops (granite, marble, travertine, etc...) for kitchens, bathrooms, outdoor spaces, etc. ....and I found them at the recommendation of my cabinet maker, Madison Custom Cabinets. Madison 'sold me' on J&H since they are 'right next door' to each other (in the big industrial complex just WEST of the sprawling 'greater Hutto Hippoplex'). Better coordination. Better communication. Hmmmm. But to be honest, this was not actually a difficult choice since the J&H quote was at price parity with the quote I had from another popular granite fabricator you can find here on Yelp. IN general, here is how the process works! (If you just want J&H's details, skip to Step 4....)
**************
Step 1; Choose your stone. Go to 20 stone yards, discharge several metric tons of CO2 into the air driving around 3 counties. You'll want to kill yourself because you've spent so much time looking for that ONE rock that your spouse LOVES - and all along you would've been fine with Silestone in the first freakin place. Once you find said rock - and *TRUST ME ON THIS PEOPLE* put a HOLD/deposit on that mother RIGHT NOW! LIKE. RIGHT. NOW!!
Step 2: Getting a Quote; This is nothing like what I expected. These fabricators will send you a quote based on rough dimensions only. Like quick. Like over the phone. Like never met you. Like never even been to your house. "Um, I need like 80sq. FT, 1/2 bullnose edge, and the basic undermount SS sink".....and its like "BAM"!!! = "Here's your quote, sir". Um, OK.
The interesting thing is; They really DON'T WANT to come to your house until you get your cabinets installed. Why? You might be getting several quotes (as you should!). You might not go with them. You might not like them. Bottom line is that Fabricators do not want to waste time driving, quoting, etc...when they might NOT be your guy. Also, they cannot possibly make the exacting measurements needed based on your old cabinets. That would be D-U-M-B. YOur new cabinets WILL be different - so this makes sense...when you think about it!
So all this BS makes sense from their perspective - but I think it is terribly helpful if SOMEONE WOULD EXPLAIN THIS - and not assume that you understand why this process is not intuitive. I DO NOT have a Rosetta stone just to decipher your process...people!!! (said for dramatic affect).
Step 3; Next is the template process. This is where you might actually
get to meet someone from the fabricator!. Like a live person. And it is NOT the same person that you've been speaking with for the last 4 months. But this dude typically smart, a professional, and has high-tech laser instruments to measure the cab dimensions, levels, angles, etc. It's actually A LOT like the openning scene to Mission Impossible where Tom Cruise is breaking into a secure room full of lasers - but different. And it is very, very precise. This is where they provided a good discussion on stone design considerations and options. Once the measurements are completed, you get a picture of your slabs, with an overlay of how they will be cut. This is the first step to creating the illusive 'invisible seams' we all hope and strive for!
Step 4; Installation process. Call it Attention to detail. Call it product quality. Call it whatever you want. Grantite fabrication and installation is an ART and the finished product is amazing and absolutely transformative to your space! For J&H, Pablo Rojas-Diaz was a consummate professional. He was courteous and an excellent communicator. If something was in question, he asked. If something didn't look right, we discussed the issue, the options, and he remained cool as a cucumber throughtout the entire process. Pablo has excellent attention to detail and they really did make the seams invisible!
Overall, J&H delivered an incredible product and service. There was one instance where they could have communicated better / more thoughtfully in the early going, but I am confident that owner Kevin Ivy will get this resolved.
So if you want to tranform your kitchen, bathroom, or outdoor area with a quality countertop, J&H can do it, and you will be amazed with the results!

This review is long overdue! We have been doing some updating in our home, and I used J & H Granite to do my kitchen countertops. They had a fantastic selection to choose from, were very professional and punctual when coming to my home. The countertops were installed within the week. My father-in-law, who used to work for a granite company in the NW, said it was one of the best jobs he had seen when he came to visit. The seams are perfect and virtually invisible because the pattern matches up so well. The ONLY drawback is I opted for a deeper sink (and love it) but now my garbage disposal cannot be hooked up w/o doing some major re-plumbing b/c the pipes would all be even instead of running down. That's what happens when you try to be your own contractor.

J&H fabricated and installed some soapstone for our kitchen remodel recently, and we were pleased with their performance. They worked very hard to resolve a communication problem between them and the stone supplier, and ultimately did a great job. The only negative aspect we experienced was a two week delay to come back to fix some chips left over from the installation and a missed appointment. Would use again.

We have used this company several times before with average service. This time it was such a hassle. They would never finish the job. It was only two pieces up stairs for a wedding venue. So two guys pull up in a extremely ragged out truck that could hardly speak English. I'm ok with that being a contractor my self I know help is hard to find. They refused the job due to the stairs. I offered to help with my guys as well, but no we can't do it they said. Ok so I call the company back and after several calls and 3-4 messages Jenifer said to call her brother who handles the installs. OK several more days and 4-5 more messages I get a call back saying let me check on it. Good, OK a few days later He says we will have 5 guys out there in three days to finish it up. Ok great. The days roll by and the next week I start calling, again. The guys says well one got covid but we will be there next few days. Ok, understandable. A few days go by and I start calling and leaving messages again. To no avail. So I start back with Jennifer and shes says call Kevin he handles the installes. I state the whole problem again and tell her that he just ghost's me no call back no nothing. She says ok let me check on it. She calls back a few days later and says I need to pay $400.00 more for a lift to get it up the stairs? I'm like What the heck? The stairs do have a low spot in the ceiling but only have to lower your head a bit walking up the stairs. Months waiting for the job to be done only to be ran around all over the place. They looked at the job, bid the job, made the pieces for it and then won't install it? These people have gone way down hill. We will not be using them again and I suggest you hire some one else that can get it done for you. That's what we had to do. I hope this saves some one else the trouble. Lee B.

I specifically went back to J&H Granite when remodeling my bathrooms because I had used them for a small job in the past on another project. They are friendly and give a laid back impression - what I found out was
they are WAY TO laid back - to the point of incompetence.
Here's the Readers Digest version of my experience:
Pick slab, place on hold, put 50% down
Measurements taken
ATTEMPT #1: Wrong Slab of Granite cut & 1 piece cut the wrong size
Wait 2 weeks (measurements done again in this time)
ATTEMPT #2: Half installed, same piece still cut wrong 2nd time, another piece cut with grain in wrong direction
Wait 5 weeks (closed for Holiday and had to select another stone because not enough of my granite left to cut pieces correctly)
ATTEMPT #3: Pieces brought, but cut with wrong edge
Wait 2 weeks
ATTEMPT #4: One piece installed, other piece still cut wrong (3rd time)
Next day came unannounced
ATTEMPT #5: Installed final piece (measured and cut on site)
During this time they sent an invoice for payment 3 times - I'm not sure they even realized the job had not been completed. When it was finally completed 3 months later, with 5 separate install attempts, and a change in my selection halfway through due to no granite left after their mistakes, the invoice didn't even reflect what had been done.
Bottom line - they are nice, but obviously no attention to detail and incredible lack of communication between their own people, suppliers, and customer. I don't even know how to explain cutting the same piece too short 3 times, except incompetence. Anyone can make a mistake - these guys made multiple different mistakes and even repeated previous mistakes multiple times.

Very poor customer service. We got a quote from the owner and we were told 3 days to have it done. We loaded up all the Tile and drove all the way to Hutto. That's over an hour and a half there and back. We went to go get the tile after a week and we were told it wasn't ready.....no phone call or anything. I sent out our guy a full week later, the day we were supposed to start installing the tile and I was told it still wasn't done, but it would definitely be done in a couple of days. We pushed off that part of the project for a couple of days. This next time I decided to call before sending someone all the way out to pick it up. I was placed on hold for a long time and then a young lady came back on the phone after talking to someone. I believe she said his name was Jeff. She said, "ahhhh, we can't do your tile" WHAT????? " ahhhh we can't do your tile" WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU CAN'T DO OUR TILE? YOU HAVE HAD IT FOR TWO WEEKS AND A HALF WEEKS!!!! She said she "thinks" the machine is broken or "something" and they have other people in line in front of us. So I posed the question to her...Why not communicate that your machine is down? Why hasn't anyone told us there was a problem? No phone call? Why do we keep getting told different pick-up days? Not only did they cause us a problem with our installation and postponing the job with our customer, but it was a horrible waste of time loading, unloading and driving our materials out there only to have to go back and pick them up. It would have been nice if they were at the very least professional enough to call us so we could take it somewhere else and make our deadline. They weren't at all apologetic. In fact it was more like they were doing us a favor......crazy! We ended up taking the tile to one of their competitors, explained the situation and they got the tile done for us the same day. I was very disappointed with this company and would never trust them to handle another project for us.

Does J & H Granite, Inc. offer cutouts for sinks, cooktops, or other elements?
Yes, like most professional contractors in the market, J & H Granite, Inc. performs cutouts and countertop preparation for various components — both standard and modern. According to our findings, these services are typically included in the overall project estimate. The standard scope usually covers cutouts for sinks (undermount, drop-in, or farmhouse) and holes for faucets or other plumbing fixtures. Additional cutouts — such as for cooktops, hidden or pop-up outlets, built-in wireless chargers, or other accessories — are discussed individually at the project planning and estimating stage.
It’s important to note that while the cutouts and countertop preparation are usually performed by the company, the installation of electrical and plumbing fixtures (such as faucets, outlets, or appliances) may not be included in their scope of work and could require licensed professionals. We recommend clarifying this point when placing your order.
To avoid misunderstandings, ask for a detailed estimate with a breakdown of all services: cutout pricing, installation, and any add-on options. This will ensure project transparency and help you clearly understand what you're paying for.
What guarantees does J & H Granite, Inc. provide for its work?
According to our information and industry practice, J & H Granite, Inc., like most participants in the ranking, provides a workmanship warranty valid for 1 year from the date of countertop installation. This period is usually specified in the contract. We do not rule out that the company may have extended warranty terms (2 years or more), however, during our research, we did not receive confirmed data from the contractor regarding the duration and scope of its warranty.
The contractor’s warranty covers defects in fabrication and installation, such as uneven or separating seams, leveling and fastening issues, detachment or sagging of an undermount sink, flaws in edge finishing and cutouts, premature failure of seam materials, and cutouts that do not match the approved design. Warranty coverage does not include damage from use (thermal shock/burn marks from hot cookware, chips or cracks caused by impacts), stains and acid etching (for marble), wear due to insufficient maintenance or lack of sealing, natural characteristics of stone (veins, micro-pores, variations in shade/pattern within tolerances), shifts caused by base deformation, or any modifications performed by third parties.
The material warranty is provided by the manufacturer or the official stone supplier. Engineered quartz brands often offer a limited “lifetime” warranty for residential properties (subject to registration and compliance with care guidelines). For sintered surfaces, typical warranty periods range from 10 to 25 years. Natural stone usually does not come with a factory warranty — its quality of fabrication and installation is covered by the contractor’s warranty. The term and scope of the warranty depend on the project and materials — contact J & H Granite, Inc. in any convenient way on this page to get the current terms.
