I love Italian Granite.! I've used them for a couple of homes that I have. I was greeted when I walked in, and both ladies at the front are very helpful and nice. They helped me pick out different countertops for both my bathrooms as well as my kitchen. The prices are very fair as well. The owner is kind and very helpful as well. I will continue to use this company for all future business endeavors.

If I could give Italian Granite 0 stars, I would.
This company installed beautiful granite in my parents' kitchen and my mother noticed that part of the bar countertop area appeared to be separating. According to my parents, my dad called the company and somebody came out to look at this. He told them it would be an easy fix and somebody would come take care of it - and nobody came.
My daughter just put a glass of water on that portion of the counter and was getting up to sit in the bar stool, and the entire - incredibly heavy - slab popped off and fell onto her. I am livid.
My father called about this issue - somebody from the company came out to look at it and thought it was OK to leave it, even though whomever saw it thought it was apparently an "easy fix." It never got fixed and they never followed up. I know my mother - she wouldn't have just let this go if she were concerned. Somebody at this company made my parents believe this would be OK. My parents did their part - they brought this to the company's attention and the company chose not to rectify the insufficient installation and left this hazard in my parents home. It was just a matter of time before something terrible like this happened. This is unacceptable.
THANK GOD the glass fell onto the barstool next to my daughter and not onto her - she was pinned down to the bar stool. Thank God the bar stool didn't fall over with her in it. This could have been so much worse and you can bet if there were serious bodily harm I would be escalating this much faster than just leaving an online review.
I just called to talk to someone or at least leave a message, but the phone just rang for 2 minutes without a voicemail.
The negligence, irresponsibility, and inaction of this company are inexcusable.
If it isn't resolved expediently I will be contacting the BBB.

We had granite installed in two houses, then moved and they came to install in our kitchen. What a horrible job. It is grainy and can't clean it at all. THey told us it needed polishing, which they were SUPPOSED to have done when it was installed. But said it would cost us 350.00. I wouldn't use them again for anything and have told so many people about this and they all agree they wouldn't use them either.

Italian Granite installed granite counter tops in my kitchen and 2 bathrooms 3 years ago.
The installation was extremely below standards as the counter top where the stove top is was not measured correctly and there was a huge gap between the end of the counter top and the wall on the left side and the back wall. The caulking was done poorly the first time and again when they redid it. I finally decided to just let it go.
We had another vendor come in and correct all the errors.
We did decided to not involve the owner because we had heard some very disturbing information regarding him and knew he would not resolve any issues due to his lack of common courtesy and respect for his paying customers.
I would not recommended them to anyone.

We couldn’t be more pleased with Italian Granite! Our slabs were selected near Austin and Italian Granite set up delivery to their business without any problem. We gave them our cabinet specs and they also sent a guy out to our building project once cabinets were in place … “measure twice and cut once”!!! Our Taj Mahal leathered counter tops are BEAUTIFUL! The guys couldn’t have been be more professional with their quality product and work and they did not leave a mess! 🎉🤩🏆
This is not the first time we have used Italian Granite … and as with previous projects … we are very satisfied ! Pleasure doing business with Shelli and her crew!

We've used Italian Granite twice now to replace countertops in the kitchens of two different houses. The first experience was not bad, the second and most recent experience was terrible. The short summary is that the owner of Italian Granite was a jerk after they cracked the granite during installation. We agreed that Italian Granite would re-install the countertop the exact way it was originally planned to be installed. Italian Granite ended up cutting the piece and adding an additional seam to make the installation work. When I pressed the owner for a discount because they did not honor the original agreement, he was very disrespectful, called me a liar on multiple occasions, and didn't offer any discount. I've never had an encounter with a business owner like this. I guess their motto is, "the owner is always right." I finally came to an agreement with one of the other staff members (who was fine to work with). They gave me a very small discount that was definitely not to the level it should have been. At the end of the day, if you have an installation without issues, you'll probably be fine, but if you have an issue and then have to interact with the owner, you'll be disappointed.

Over all I'm rating a 3. Love my granite. No problems there. Mine was the subway tile job. Was installed end of May, finished July 27th. Wasn't happy how the tile looked around the window. Skinny tile piece does not look right, but was told that is the way its done. They didn't use corner pieces, plus the tile wasn't centered. For which I told Italian granite & 3 different tile guys who came out to fix the problem. Between no shows ,coming 2 hrs late for which no called me . I had to do the calling. I think they need a lesson on how to treat a customer. The customer shouldn't be the one doing all the calling. So go some place else for your back splash. After remodeling your kitchen from the studs, you want everything to look awesome. Not have a so so tile job.

I had a fantastic experience with this company. I went to their store location to look at the stone. Once I told them which one I liked, they came out the next day or so to measure with a high tech device. Then I received an estimate shortly after from the office staff. They were easy to communicate with, and once they came out to install (about 2 weeks after they gave me the estimate), that was a great experience with their installers too. All around, I was very pleased! Everyone I worked with was friendly and professional.

Italian Granite & Marble have been a pleasure to work with. The sales staff Shelley was so helpful! She helped me with ideas and coordinated all the installation. Everything was perfect including the installation. I recently remodeled my whole house and used other granite places in Waco prior to them. The other companies were horrible! I wish I knew about them from the beginning of the project.
I highly recommend Italian & Marble.

We just bought a house here in Waco, with brand new granite countertops.
The previous owner had an old style coil cooktop, and we wanted a new induction cooktop instead.
We got the new cooktop, but it wouldn't fit.
The original granite people did a poor job of cutting the opening.
The great folks at Italian Granite had their guys come out and, in less than an hour, had the opening sized right and squared up perfectly.
I had originally contacted them on Friday afternoon, and the job was done by 2:00 pm on Monday.
Can't get much better than that

I whole heartedly recommend Italian Granite and Marble. When I ordered a quartz for my counter, it was obviously inferior and not what the sample showed. Italian Marble and Granite advocated for me to return the inferior quartz for a full refund. They directed me to Levantina in Dallas, from which I chose a beautiful quartzite.
JJ helped me choose a natural stone instead of the manufactured quartz, which I learned is fabricated in China. Italian Granite made an effort to install within a week of my purchase, working me in to their busy schedule.
Every person I dealt with was professional, courteous, helpful. I am so happy with my kitchen counters. They are have a timeless beauty and function.

For over all service I'm rating a 3. I had no problems with the granite. My problem was with the tile job. It started June 8 & was finished today July 27. It was installed end of May. Wasn't happy with tile work around the window. For one thing the tile was not center for which I told the main tile guy & Italian granite. Between no shows or being two hour late a couple of times, no one gave me any heads up. The tile people wouldn't call you & let you know anything. Even if you ask them to call. On no show days I had to call to reschedule. It's pretty bad when the customer has to call to find out what's going on. Italian granite didn't do follow up calls with all the problems I was having with the tile people. It was beginning to be a joke. I was told by a main person the guy is a professional, that is what you get with brick. Sorry if it was center, there wouldn't be any skinny pieces. So I recommend you go elsewhere for your back splash work. I do love my granite ,I have no problems with that.

The quality of the job was good. The countertops fit and look great. But the owner is a jerk. During installation of the granite countertop they scratched the stainless steel sink. I spoke to the owner who then claimed "those scratches were there before". I offered to show pictures of the sink before install (I had documented everything in pictures) but he didn't want to see the pictures. He refused to fix the sink or replace it. I told him I'm deducting the value of the sink from the total payment. He claimed that I was trying to scam him. He used multiple personal attacks when talking with me on the phone, which just made me laugh as I was entertained that this is how a business owner would behave. After about 40 minutes on the phone we negotiated to a discount, but wow, what a trip.

I called to schedule an appointment for someone to come out and my measure my fireplace. My appointment was scheduled from 3-3:30. I waited for about 45 minutes before calling to see if they were on the way. No answer, no voicemail. So I preceded to wait till 4:15pm. Still no show! I called again. No answer. I sent them an email. They didn't bother to respond at all. I called then back on Thursday 12/18/20. The lady basically blew me off with no apology at all. And said well "maybe you should look for another company?" Seriously?!! What kind of business is this place? DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY AT ALL!! You will regret it!! There are plenty of other great and PROFESSIONAL companies in the Waco area.

Worst experience ever. I am a school teacher and my husband is an attorney. We were dressed very casually because we spent the morning moving. There is no excuse for the rudeness we experienced from their desk help in the Bellmead office (Nicole, I believe). She rudely made us wait for her to finish a personal call, then made continuous snide comments about the costs of the granite. There was no improvement, when we finally were able to get her out of her desk to show us anything. We left and will not deal with this company again. We needed a lot of granite. They will not get our business. No one should be treated in this manner.

Does Italian Granite offer cutouts for sinks, cooktops, or other elements?
Yes, like most professional contractors in the market, Italian Granite performs cutouts and countertop preparation for various components — both standard and modern. According to our findings, these services are typically included in the overall project estimate. The standard scope usually covers cutouts for sinks (undermount, drop-in, or farmhouse) and holes for faucets or other plumbing fixtures. Additional cutouts — such as for cooktops, hidden or pop-up outlets, built-in wireless chargers, or other accessories — are discussed individually at the project planning and estimating stage.
It’s important to note that while the cutouts and countertop preparation are usually performed by the company, the installation of electrical and plumbing fixtures (such as faucets, outlets, or appliances) may not be included in their scope of work and could require licensed professionals. We recommend clarifying this point when placing your order.
To avoid misunderstandings, ask for a detailed estimate with a breakdown of all services: cutout pricing, installation, and any add-on options. This will ensure project transparency and help you clearly understand what you're paying for.
What guarantees does Italian Granite provide for its work?
According to our information and industry practice, Italian Granite, like most participants in the ranking, provides a workmanship warranty valid for 1 year from the date of countertop installation. This period is usually specified in the contract. We do not rule out that the company may have extended warranty terms (2 years or more), however, during our research, we did not receive confirmed data from the contractor regarding the duration and scope of its warranty.
The contractor’s warranty covers defects in fabrication and installation, such as uneven or separating seams, leveling and fastening issues, detachment or sagging of an undermount sink, flaws in edge finishing and cutouts, premature failure of seam materials, and cutouts that do not match the approved design. Warranty coverage does not include damage from use (thermal shock/burn marks from hot cookware, chips or cracks caused by impacts), stains and acid etching (for marble), wear due to insufficient maintenance or lack of sealing, natural characteristics of stone (veins, micro-pores, variations in shade/pattern within tolerances), shifts caused by base deformation, or any modifications performed by third parties.
The material warranty is provided by the manufacturer or the official stone supplier. Engineered quartz brands often offer a limited “lifetime” warranty for residential properties (subject to registration and compliance with care guidelines). For sintered surfaces, typical warranty periods range from 10 to 25 years. Natural stone usually does not come with a factory warranty — its quality of fabrication and installation is covered by the contractor’s warranty. The term and scope of the warranty depend on the project and materials — contact Italian Granite in any convenient way on this page to get the current terms.
