I recently remodeled my kitchen and quickly discovered that I was in way over my head. I was clueless when it came to countertops, sinks, backsplashes, etc. Lucky for me Kelly Winrich at Instyle Charlotte held my hand throughout the entire process. She helped me understand the order in which things needed to happen and was readily available to answer my many questions. Grant Winrich was also extremely helpful. They personally delivered my farmhouse sink to me when I mistakenly had it shipped to the warehouse. They both have a great design eye which I was sure to tap into when selecting my backsplash and even the grout color. Rest assured you'll be in good hands with Instyle!

We remodeled our countertops in our kitchen (and backsplash), bathroom and butlers pantry with Instyle Charlotte Inc. We met with Claudia in their showroom to make our selections, they had so many solid surface selections to choose from and she was extremely knowledgeable and nice. Grayson performed the installation in the kitchen and he was amazing. He had such an attention to detail. The total installation for the kitchen only took a couple of days. The installation for the bathroom and butlers pantry took less than 2 hours and it looks awesome! We are so happy with the final product...don't shop around, call Claudia...you won't be disappointed!!!

We needed to have a two small repairs done on our Quartz island. Luis came out to make the repairs and did an outstanding job. Not only was he on time, he was courteous, personable and tidy with his work. This is the kind of service everyone will love. Thank you Luis.

I worked with Claudia at InStyle on a recent renovation of our home. I can’t say enough good about my experience with her. She exudes passion and love for her work and showed genuine care for me and my home project. She went above and beyond to provide the best pricing for me and was quick to respond to those unexpected needs that pop up with construction. She is a gem and I will be contacting her for any future needs I may have. It would be a pleasure to work with her and her team again 😊

We used Instyle 18 years ago when we replaced our builder grade formica with granite. When it was time to update our kitchen this year, I called Instyle as well as another vendor who was recommended by my contractor. Instyle's prices were very competitive and the quartz I picked out is exactly the perfect complement for my new kitchen. I had very specific wants when it came to color, movement and tones. Brianna was terrific in helping me narrow down my choices and pointing out what the qualities were in each slab. Because I was very specific, together we were able to find two candidates very, very quickly. Not only were they in my price range but she was able to give me samples to take home which the other vendor was unable to do. That made it a pretty easy choice. The installers were thorough and fast. The countertops look amazing. Every day I am excited because I know I made the right choice. My only negative comment would be that I had to wait longer than expected for the install. My contractor wanted to draw the template but Instyle wanted to draw their own and they would not even begin work until my cabinets were installed. That meant that I had to wait an additional 2 weeks for the install and subsequently any plumbing so the kitchen was somewhat unusable for 2 weeks longer than it could have been. I will also say that I did have to stay on top of them to make sure that everything was being processed but I assume that is the way with any vendor. Our next project will probably be our primary bathroom and I will definitely be calling Instyle again.

Unprofessional! Use World Stone instead. Time from template to installation is longer than average. Vein matching quality was poor which generated multiple requests for template revision. The templates they provided for approval frequently had backward/upside-down pieces that required correction. Did not return phone calls/emails in a reasonable timeframe. Dented new vanity with installation. Did not use the sinks available as instructed during installation and did not include drill holes in templates, so they accidentally drilled 3 holes for each faucet instead on 1. When they had to correct this error by re-fabricating another slab, they created excessive construction delay by forcing me to re-template another virtually identical quartz slab. At the end of my project, I needed a 3” x 7” countertop side splash revised to a 3” x 11” piece due to a construction change. I tried to pay them to do this. They flat out refused and forced me to go to another fabricator, who was kind enough to generate this piece for me from a remnant for $37. I would not recommend this business!

Helpful staff. Eager to work with the client to obtain the desired outcome. Kitchens and baths are very personal. Our individual wants don’t always translate when describing our concerns. Well for our family we were very lucky to meet Claudia W. At the charlotte location. Super friendly and beyond gracious. We were concerned how the long run in our kitchen would be affected by the need for two pieces to be joined to complete a 14 foot length of countertop. The computer images just didn’t look right. Claudia instantly suggested we come over and she grabbed a roll of tape and a tape measure and quickly laid out the pattern on the slab. She made a couple os suggestions about laying the pattern out differently to accommodate the variations in our stone slab. A few minutes later we were super pleased. Thank you for taking the initiative and time to help make this project look better.

I had been working with another granite and tile shop in Charlotte before I stumbled into Erika at Instyle. From the moment we started talking I knew that my overall experience was about to change for the better. She took me by the hand and literally walked me through the process of finding the most beautiful marble and tile that fit my personality and style. She cares a great deal about her customers and she is a rare talent in the design field. She gave advise when needed but more so just asked the right questions and made recommendations that helped to guide me through. I felt like I was building my dream house with the help of a friend instead of a sales person. The surprising news here, is that with all of that fantastic customer service, Instyle still delivered within the restrictive budget that I started with. Amazing! I could not be more thrilled with the overall result from Erika to the installers. Excellent quality product and experience. Thank you Erika and Instyle!

Perfection every time! As an interior designer I need perfection for my clients. Instyle always delivers! Not only does thier installation go fast and seamlessly (literally no visiable seams), but Luis always goes above and beyond getting slabs installed faster that any other company I've worked with! Thanks yet Again!

I have been working with Instyle for years. They always provide amazing service and unbeatable prices. If we ever have even the slightest issue, they are willing to fix it right away. You won't find another fabricator in Charlotte that miters countertops better than Instyle!

We worked with Brianna for our countertop and wall tile. She was a pleasure to work with and very accommodating during Covid, wearing a mask properly. She recommended installers for the tile and they did a great job! Our countertop and tile look great!

I have noticed, often, that people only write Yelp reviews when they are bad, but I am here to tell you, this company is beyond compare in product selection, quality of workmanship as well as customer service. I highly recommend them!

Really poor experience with them. They're extremely transactional. The selection and sales process was fine, but installation was terrible. They scheduled a day and called they were on their way but never showed. This required me to reschedule other work since the slabs needed to be installed first. They then stopped taking calls. I finally got in touch with my sales rep and they said "I don't have anything to do with installation. Sorry I can't help you." I was told the owner would call to help resolve our issues but they never did and the sales rep went silent as well. The only communication we ever received was for our remaining balance (which we begrudgingly paid). I'll never use them again. Find someplace that cares about their customers, not just making a deal.

Haven't experienced this place yet. Will adjust review later IF they call. Saturday hours were not accurate today. Saw another disappointed couple who arrived before 2 finding it closed. Would advise calling first to be sure someone will be there. :(

I have had such a disappointing experience at InStyle. They charged me for countertop tearout based on my new design, not my actual original countertop surface area, and when I asked to be refunded the difference, they were extremely resistant. Then, I asked the salesperson to help me pick out trim and she said she would send me pictures of the options but she never did and I ended up ordering the wrong one - she never asked me questions to determine my installation needs so when I said "pencil" trim, I thought that was clear - but what she ordered was a 3" wide bullnose trim piece. They wouldn't take the tile back at first but finally agreed to and charge me a restocking fee. then the new tile to purchase - basically I was having to buy it all over again. I still haven't received the check they promised me for the countertop tear out credit. I would NEVER recommend them or use them again.

We used Instyle 7 years ago to fabricate and install our natural stone countertops and undermount sinks. They did a fine job. Now, fast-forward 7 years and they have completely changed into a horrible company. We emailed them to see if they could remove the old kitchen sink that had been damaged with a new one that we had purchased. The person at Instyle (Amanda) said yes they could do that. She requested we send her an email with pictures of the sink and plumbing underneath, which I did promptly. Over 3 weeks went by and we heard nothing, so I followed up with a phone call, leaving a message that we had not heard back and were waiting for an estimate. Crickets. Nothing. So I emailed Amanda again and stated how disappointed we are that they had just ghosted us and that I'm sure they wouldn't like to see bad reviews in social media. Four days later - still no response. Like other reviews I've seen here, I now agree they just don't care. And we were already customers in good standing. In fact we had just used them a few months ago to refurbish some countertops and everything was fine. I suggest you try and find another company which cares about their customers. Update: 5/17/2021 - I finally received a call from Instyle after my initial review was posted. They gave me an estimate of the job costs on the phone and promptly set up a time for someone to come out and do the work (Greyson). Greyson was very friendly and did a great job in spite of running into some unforeseen problems that no one would be able to see until you get into the job. Greyson figured out a plan, went about resolving the issue and ended up replacing the sink just fine. It looks great. He cleaned up after his work and even took away the old sink and the boxing materials. I change my rating to three stars for now and I DO recommend Instyle at this point, but am reserving a final rating until after I see the final invoice from them for the work.

I would NOT use In Style. If I could give them zero stars I would. The sales process was fine, but installation was horrible. I have worked with them on two projects and both projects were installed wrong. I spoke with the owner and the sales staff which promised to repair the broken marble and granite, but suddenly stopped returning calls and emails. Now, one year later we have to pay another company to fix their mistakes. I am renovating our home now and have asked contractors who they use for their stone. They are experiencing the same customer service and confirmed they do not stand by their work especially individuals using them without builders. I requested our contractor to not use them! I really can't believe they are so bad in customer service and are still in business.

This company is bad. Don't use them. Poor installation and they don't fix their errors (even though they acknowledge them). We are now moving to litigation.

I really wanted to give a higher rating here, but the customer service is the worst I've ever come across. They had to install my countertops twice because the first time was the wrong color, then on the second time the installation was sub par (you could tell they cut corners). All and all, horrible experience, wish I could say something positive here.

Not impressed. A week has gone by since we met with their designer last Friday and were promised a quote by this past Tuesday. Never got anything, I sent an email Wed. Evening and then called yesterday and still haven't heard a word. These guys must have too much business or just don't care about customer service. I could only imagine after you committed to do business with them.

Wow, what a roller coaster of a ride. Where do I even begin?! I dealt with Sean out of their Mooresville office. He was nice enough, talked a lot (over sold it) but was polite and seemed to offer a lot of information. Talked up how they are the only granite fitter that uses high quality water jet machines for perfect seams etc. I first stopped in with my wife to look at some granite counters for our home. We rented some samples and took them to the house to look at them in the kitchen. We picked our granite, and returned the samples to the store. I gave Sean some measurements to quote us and he said he's reply in a day or so. A couple days go by and we finally get a rough estimate from him. It seems fair enough, so we are told we need to go pick our slabs from the granite supplier. That is down in Charlotte, which is a good 45 minutes from us. That was the first thing that seemed weird to me, because at the initial discussion is was more about "we can get this done in 7-10 days" but as we went on, other things kept popping up. Granted, you would want to pick your own slabs to get installed, but the point of not being upfront about the process is what irked me. I have a very busy schedule, and just dropping in random requirements didn't fit well for me. The wife and I head down on a Saturday and we pick our slabs. We were told to pick 3 slabs, even though it would only take 2, and that would likely lower our quote. Spoiler, it didn't lower it and they just kept it. We return from picking the granite and advise Sean that we've held the 3 slabs per his instruction, and we'd like to move forward. We get the paperwork and final quote. Note to users who wish to use their CC for this, they hit you with a 1.5% credit card fee. They run my Amex for 75% of the job, and start cutting you would think. That was on 09JAN19 and we had first come in to talk to them 02JAN19, so we are already close to a week into it. To then top it off, Sean asks me if I sell NImH battery chargers? Nothing like trying to get the hookup through your job I guess... just seemed tacky to me. So out of nowhere, I get a text on 09JAN19 that someone is on their way to do the templating! Yikes!! I run home to meet them at the house. They go about their work, and then once finished they take the templates and leave. In their wake is glue stuck all over the counters, on the floor, pieces of their template material left in two out of three rooms that were measured. It was disappointing. Regardless, we were on easy street, so we thought. I advised Sean that even though I was supposed to hear from him on some estimated times they would come, they had already come and were finished. Another week goes by, and Sean advises me that we need to go place the templates in Charlotte. I tell him that I can't just drop what I'm doing to go do things at a moments notice, and that we'd need to figure something else out. We don't hear anything back from him for 4 days, then I leave for work and now really can't do anything with this. He says that he can go do it if we sign a waiver. Ok fine, signed and done. Fast forward another couple weeks and now we are at 31JAN, so a full month into this. I take a day off of work and the installers come. They were very polite and got all setup. Here is where everything fell off the cliff. The installer asks me when my plumber is coming, and I asked why because I was told the installers would hook back up the sinks, which is why I specifically had them do the cutouts where the old sinks were. He tells me that I was lied to, and they don't do any plumbing that they aren't plumbers. So now I'm really screwed. I have one day off of work, and no plumbers scheduled. Now I get to pay call out rates because I was told something that isn't true. Sean even has the audacity to say he didn't say that! To make it even worse, one of the installers breaks one of the water lines in the kitchen, which starts to pour water everywhere in the kitchen. I hear the water spraying followed shortly by the installer yelling for me. I turn the corner, see what's happening, and dash outside to shut off the water. I come back in and there is water everywhere. He asks if I have any towels, so I go get every bath towel I own. He cleans that up, and proceeds to put all of my bath towels in the driveway! He then tells me that "his friend in Charlotte" is coming to fix the broken pipe at no cost to me since he broke it. He shows up an hour later and puts some shut off valves on the pipes and leaves. I wonder if he was even a plumber, or licensed or insured?? The valves leaked after he left, so I'm guessing not. I guess that's ok for InStyle, but not for me. The seam on the kitchen counter is not level, nor precise as they said it would be. They left crap all over my driveway and in my grass. I will NEVER refer them to anyone, and will advise people to stay clear of here! Should have been the easiest home improvement, and instead was the worst.
