Home 101 is a GREAT place for finding appliances. They carry numerous high-end appliance brands, but they also carry--with competitive prices--the common brands you find at Home Depot, Lowes, Pacific Sales and Best Buy. My advice is to skip looking at those other places and just go to straight to Home 101. Customer Service was EXCELLENT! My story: I had come to Home 101 (after Googling and Googling and visiting the other places) knowing what I wanted, a particular brand and model of a microwave and an oven, respectively--two separate units, a big purchase overall. I received a great price for both, ordered them, and Home 101 delivered them promptly. But...I had made a mistake. I had ordered the wrong microwave--it was my fault. I had already opened the box, since it had already been delivered. The Home 101 folks told me right away, don't worry, they would take back the wrong unit. And they could, and did, order the right one. My entire interaction with them, at every stage, was superb. They were knowledgeable, friendly, and flexible. Give them your business! (and I don't usually write reviews for businesses, and they didn't ask me to do so. I volunteered!)

They were able to setup and test my new washer and get rid of the old one in minutes. They are extremely hard working as they carried out my old washer up a flight of stairs and put the new washer in. 100% recommend!

Home 101 offers exceptional products. Matt and his team were extremely helpful and did not try to oversell products. The showroom is full of examples, including cabinets. Matt was very helpful with aligning my kitchen concepts with Viking appliances. The installation crew was professional and helpful. After purchasing a subzero refrigerator and Viking range, microwave/convection and double oven along with Cove dishwasher, we couldn’t be happier. Overall wonderful experience and we highly recommend Home 101, Matt, Shally, and Mel!

Based on my recommendation as a designer, my client was building their first new high-end luxury home; they made several purchases from Matthew, including all the plumbing fixtures, appliances, and cabinetry. My clients were always paying on time and in full payment. The clients paid the company 80% of the invoice in May 2021. After the clients had to wait 14 months for the delivery, they were upset and frustrated. The husband wanted to go with another company, and it took a lot of convincing from me to stay with Home 101. When they did deliver, the cabinetry needed to be assembled and completed. It took a lot of time out of my schedule to deal with constantly having to call them asking for updates on the cabinets; Matthew often wouldn't answer our calls. He was the one to convince us to change the manufacturer because of the delay, which still took a long time to deliver, and we still kept getting the runaround from him. When the cabinets started to be built in the home, I noticed they weren't up to the standards of Omega (the first supplier we initially went with). Before convincing us to change suppliers, he assured me they were as good as Omega. It was a disappointment to see that it wasn’t, especially since we had to wait 14 months for just the delivery of the cabinets; it took 19 MONTHS for the installation to be completed. We had problems with Doors that wouldn’t close because they were uneven, drawers wouldn't shut right, and it took months for them to correct. We still had four other rooms they were supposed to finish that were in the invoice; we had to find another company for those rooms, and it took months for them to come back. My clients were very nice and so patient. I was thankful because this was the most challenging part of the project. Before all the craziness, I recommended my sister to them because she was remodeling her kitchen. She ordered the cabinets and sink with them. One of the cabinets was the wrong size, another cabinet door was in the opposite direction, and they ordered the wrong size sink. The day she picked up the sink, she saw it was smaller than the one she ordered. She couldn't return it because no other place had the size or color she wanted. She would have had to wait another three months, and her contractor was already putting the countertops on, so she is stuck with a smaller sink she never ordered. What a disaster it was. I felt terrible because I recommended her. If you enjoy stressful nights dealing with things you wouldn’t usually have to deal with if you were working with another company, then Home 101 is for you, or this review can serve as a Lesson 101.

I was sent to them by my appliance repair man. I needed a new washer. Laurie helped us and explained the differences of their Speed Queen washers. The shop is new, beautiful, and they have great customer service. I truly liked being in a family run appliance store, rather than a large box store. The personal service we got meant everything!

My husband and I had been looking for a built in Kitchen Aid refrigerator. We were not able to order from the big box stores. We came across Home 101, and Matt was able to order it for us, and the refrigerator came in quicker than we expected! Delivery went very smoothly. The guys were friendly and professional, did a great job. We look forward to purchasing from Home 101 again soon.

The team at Home 101 was incredibly helpful with getting me a new washer and dryer. Their knowledge of appliances is outstanding. They were also extremely quick. The new washer and dryer were installed the next day. They took their time making sure the installation was done correctly with no issues and walked me through the good to know details of the equipment. I will definitely be going back for a refrigerator soon.

Excellent from start to finish! Came here to find a custom refrigerator and dishwasher. We were impressed at how clean and well-stocked this store was, but were even more impressed with Laurie (our sales rep). She was kind and super knowledgeable about all the appliance brands/makers/warranties, etc. Her extensive expertise and her active ability to listen to our needs were key in our shopping experience. Even the delivery and install of our appliances was smooth and well-organized. The install guys, Simon and Isaac were awesome! Our huge fridge was somewhat tricky to maneuver, but they made it work! Honestly, my husband and I were dreading the chore of shopping for appliances, but with Home 101 and Laurie, it was a breeze. We are enjoying & loving our Kitchen Aid appliances because we chose the right people/company! Save yourself from unnecessary aggravation, and just come here!

I really hate writing poor reviews when people in business are very kind. But here we are, and here is my complaint. I've purchased around 8k of items over the past few months. They don't stock much, and I've had problems with service communications. Example, 3 weeks to get an insinkerator garbage disposal that died 2 weeks later. No follow up from Home101 on replacement schedule. Finally called insinkerator, they will service directly. Total 6 weeks plus to get a new unit. And by the way home depot shows stock on the shelf. I think its safe to say I won't be a home101 customer anymore. Don't get me wrong, staff is overwhelming nice, but operations and support are lacking. I can't believe this is the way they do business.

In 2022 we remodeled our kitchen and needed new appliances. We initially purchased via Pacific Sales Ontario and received terrible service and delays. We contacted Viking and were referred to Home 101, so we believed we were being routed to a legitimate retailer. We rushed to Home 101 and moved our purchase to this retailer. We purchased multiple items via Home 101, but let me focus on the Viking items: 1) Dishwasher 2) Microwave Drawer 3) 5 series range Here is what has happened since 2022 (just two years): 1) Dishwasher: at delivery was wrong (we were sent a front cabinet facing washer). We contacted Matt, the owner of Home101. He apologized and offered to pay for 1/2 the cost of having a cabinet face made. We agreed. When we received the cabinet face, we thought all was great. It wasn't. It was installed by Home101 with wrong screws (we found out during issue #2, below). The dishwasher didn't seal correctly which has now warped and damaged the cabinet face. We notified Home101 - sent pictures, etc. Matt said he would handle this (note - we contacted him March 2022 ....I am writing this review April 2024) and have not heard back. I guess for him, a few weeks = years? 2) Microwave Drawer: March 2023-ish timeframe, Microwave stops working. We contact a Viking repair company, they come out and say the heating element is damaged. Because we were still under warranty, they were able to replace the heating element and service at no cost. This same tech is the person that identified the cabinet face for our dishwasher had the wrong screws, thanks, repairman (note: we fixed the dishwasher ourselves). 4) 5 Series Range: The small over will turn on, (and sometimes turn off - we don't know until our food is cold). The large oven completely stopped working this month. We called the Viking service rep and guess what, we are just 2 months out of warranty. Viking agreed to pay for parts not labor. Service tech came to our home, asked where we bought the appliance and stayed quiet. Upon additional probing, the rep tells us he the broiler and heating element of our range (only 2 years old to us) looks 10-15 years old! He also found 2 random screws in the bottom of the heating element. We paid brand new price for what we now believe is a refurbished model. We bought Viking appliances because this is our forever home. We bought higher end via Home 101 because of the recommendation of Viking to move our order for Pacific Sales to this retailer. EVERY Viking appliance purchased via Home 101 has had an issue in 2 years or less. DO NOT purchase via this retailer! You may get a refurbished item charged at new full price. I've contacted Viking to share my experience to protect other consumers.
