The office staff needs much improvement on customer service. I have never dealt with such rude people in my life. When the man came to install our bathroom countertop he was extremely nice and very happy and helpful. He must really like his job outside of the office being away from those crabby people. I guess people were very unhappy with there job. ....

I can't talk about installation experience, my wife and I did the installing. What I can talk about is, we did the measurements an made a template of the cabinet top. This was no ordinary top is was made like an octagon shape with a few modifications made by us. Scott was very patient with us and explained that since we did the measurements and made the template out of paper there was no guarantee it would fit. It was flawless, fit perfectly. The finish was amazing.

Terrible company and especially their customer service! My edging has issues with it on several areas of counters. Warranty barely past 12 months. This company does nothing, they are rude about it.After they get your money, they don’t care about you. I had to get Home Depot involved to get anything done. It took two and a half months after I first called sims. Lori is the worst. Oh my, why is she answering the phones. Well I should say when she feels like answering. She is rude , condensing, knows nothing, then when you explain your situation and call back for a follow up on a repair ( by the way ,Home Depot took care of it, $$. NOT Sims) she will not answer the phone because she knows you have a concern and will quiz her, other words, you expect her to be able to help, right….. I called several times left a VM just to have her, Lori text me, saying call Brent the owner. All I needed was an appointment, after Home Depot said they will take care of me .She ignored my “many “ calls. I called from another number and she answered!!! But there again she was useless rude, talks over you.I wish I had never used this “small” company. The owner Brent says he will talk to Lori ( wrong)…. Well, it does no good. My advice, beware, after you pay for an install , you are not priority and they are not great , at all with edging, period! Big hassle with Sims! Zero stars!

5 stars for SUPERB Customer Service! I had a great experience working with Kim at HL Sims to choose countertops for a small bathroom renovation. She was extremely patient with me as I ended up needing to make several trips into the showroom to borrow various samples. She was extremely knowledgeable in all types of products and helped to make an overwhelming decision process easier through educating me on my options and helping to find a product that was within my budget. She was also very encouraging of me to take all the time in the world finding something I was 100% comfortable with as I plan to enjoy our new bathroom for many years to come! Thank you, KIM!

The laminate countertops I had custom made were incorrectly installed. After HL Sims installed the countertops, I needed to have work done on the cabinets. The cabinet repair person had no trouble lifting the countertops from the cabinets. Apparently, there were no corner blocks put on before HL Sims installed them. Three repairmen told me that corner blocks were required for a proper install: My cabinet repairman, an HL Sims repairman, and the repairman I hired to do the install that HL Sims refused to do properly. After several calls to the company and getting nowhere, I was told that the owner would call me. It's been two weeks and no call. In order to finish putting my kitchen together I had to hire someone else. Paid them $250 do to the work HL Sims should have done. HL Sims showed no pride in their work and have exceptionally poor customer service.

We are so glad that we chose HL Sims for our custom countertops & sink. From choosing the style all the way to installation day, they made the process easy for us. Excellent customer service, and I enjoy going into my kitchen now!

Do not use this company. Home Depot sent them to our home to install new laminate countertops. The entire experience was a disaster. They dented our walls, scraped the new paint and chipped the laminate. They did not wear masks and did not finish the job. We are disputing the charges right now. I left this review over a month ago. I must admit that HL Sims have come back out to install new countertops. The owner came out and was quite understanding of our concerns. The new installers were great and very professional. I can appreciate when a company rectifies a situation and stand behind their work. Thanks to the second experience, I would definitely recommend this company.

HL Sims installed our church countertops and cabinets. Lavinia was very helpful in helping us to find the color and type of countertops. She was very patient and answered all our questions. The installers Patrick and Zeb were very professional and nice. They made sure to clean up all the trash from the installation. They were extremely careful with our pre-existing base structures. I would highly recommend them. Thanks HL Sims for making this a satisfying experience.
