My wife and visited their showroom in January of 2023. We were educated in all of our options and they asked all questions we had. We made our selection and felt very good about our choice. Using drawings of our cabinets we were given a quote for everything and we felt very confident about the materials and the professionalism of the company. We thought our project would be ready in March of 2023. The contractor we hired to do our remodel literally disappeared. Luckily for us we had not given him any money. I called Heartland Granite and stone to inform them of the delay. They said there was no problem and our deposit would hold the slab we chose as long as we needed. Having the ability to do the remodel ourselves we proceeded on our own. We were ready to have our counters templates in May. They came out and used all the latest technology to make what I consider to be a perfect replica of our walls etc. The day of the install the crew showed up at exactly the time they said they would. The team of three men went right to work. They asked if we had any questions or concerns. We had a couple and they took the time to answer everything fully. Our project was probably not the largest for them but to us we were amazed at how precise and professional they were. The crew had the counters and sinks installed within 15-20 minutes. They cleaned everything and gave us directions on how long to leave the supports on the sinks and how to care for and clean everything. They thanked us for using their company. There were no surprises, no problems and no shortcomings. I was amazed, not often in todays world do you find such craftsman who honestly seemed to care. We will certainly use them again in the future.

Heartland is simply amazing. I was able to pick my granite from their scrap area as I was remodeling two small bathrooms and one large piece was plenty to do all. We agreed on a price, but I had to put things on hold until my contractor was ready for that step in the remodel. Things took longer than expected and there was some turnover at Heartland resulting in my reserved scrap piece getting used. However, the folks at Heartland honored my scrap pricing even though they had to cut from new stock. Additionally, I chose a sink that didn't work just right, but they worked with me to think outside the box and built me a custom countertop that is more functional than the standard would have been and is so beautiful! I have a 3rd bath that desperately needs attention and I can't wait to do business with them again. I'll be calling!

Installed countertops December '23. First seam started breaking out within a week. Took 2 months to get someone to Manhattan to repair and technician told us they had a bad batch of glue, and he hated driving to Manhattan. Second seam is now breaking out, and being told it may be a while to get this repaired. Buyer beware, they're quick to install, but repair is utterly non-existent. We may have our new expensive counter looking good sometime this year, maybe.

My kitchen looks amazing compared to what it looked like before. It even made it look bigger even though all we did was replace the existing countertop. For an older home, it really made a difference.

We picked out a beautiful granite and it was installed in a timely manner and looks great! The owner and another guy came out to install. There was one area that was measured a little wrong, so a corner piece didn't fit quite right. We found that out when our contractor put our stove back in. The seam at that piece also came out. It took a couple of months for someone to come out and fix all of that. While the installer was here, he mentioned that he hated driving to Manhattan. He also said that the glue used on the original seam was bad so they changed out the glue.(That seam is holding up nicely now). Well, unfortunately, another seam is coming out, so who knows when we'll get that one fixed since he hates coming to Manhattan. We let the installer know on March 11th that the 2nd seam is coming out, and we found out that he never put us down for a repair. We're still waiting. I assume if you live anywhere near Topeka, you might have better luck getting something done in a timely manner, but buyer beware if you live in Manhattan. Our sales guy in Manhattan (Jeremy) was great to deal with and the owner (John) is super nice. There is definitely a lack of communication and consideration towards the customer. I assume most people would at least like an estimate as to when the repair will be done. All we've gotten is we're in the system, and that's after calling multiple people to get any answer at all.

All I needed was a small piece to go with my new opening in my wall. They wanted to charge me as much for the slab as they did to install it. Then they gave very poor customer service. They would not respond at all to my emails with further questions. Do not use them if you don’t have a big project that costs a lot. It was even more sad because I was a returning customer.

Acting as a mystery shopper, our analyst attempted to contact company representatives to clarify the timeframe for a standard 83.4 sq. ft. countertop project — however, either the calls and messages went unanswered, or the staff were unable or unwilling to provide an estimated completion time. It’s important to note that situations like this are not uncommon: contractors may be overwhelmed with work, prefer to discuss project details in person, or choose not to disclose information during the initial contact.

Unfortunately, in the course of our mystery shopper research, we were unable to obtain information about the quote preparation time from Heartland Granite & Quartz in Topeka, KS. Our analyst may not have been able to reach a company representative, or the quote was never provided after initial contact. As a result, we are unable to objectively evaluate the company’s quote turnaround speed. This situation is rare and usually related to temporary workload or internal processing specifics. It does not necessarily indicate a low level of service — it simply means that we didn’t receive a response within the research timeframe.
To get up-to-date information, we recommend contacting the company directly through our website — submit a request, call, or message them to receive a personalized quote and clarify current pricing.
Does Heartland Granite & Quartz offer cutouts for sinks, cooktops, or other elements?
Yes, like most professional contractors in the market, Heartland Granite & Quartz performs cutouts and countertop preparation for various components — both standard and modern. According to our findings, these services are typically included in the overall project estimate. The standard scope usually covers cutouts for sinks (undermount, drop-in, or farmhouse) and holes for faucets or other plumbing fixtures. Additional cutouts — such as for cooktops, hidden or pop-up outlets, built-in wireless chargers, or other accessories — are discussed individually at the project planning and estimating stage.
It’s important to note that while the cutouts and countertop preparation are usually performed by the company, the installation of electrical and plumbing fixtures (such as faucets, outlets, or appliances) may not be included in their scope of work and could require licensed professionals. We recommend clarifying this point when placing your order.
To avoid misunderstandings, ask for a detailed estimate with a breakdown of all services: cutout pricing, installation, and any add-on options. This will ensure project transparency and help you clearly understand what you're paying for.
What guarantees does Heartland Granite & Quartz provide for its work?
According to our information and industry practice, Heartland Granite & Quartz, like most participants in the ranking, provides a workmanship warranty valid for 1 year from the date of countertop installation. This period is usually specified in the contract. We do not rule out that the company may have extended warranty terms (2 years or more), however, during our research, we did not receive confirmed data from the contractor regarding the duration and scope of its warranty.
The contractor’s warranty covers defects in fabrication and installation, such as uneven or separating seams, leveling and fastening issues, detachment or sagging of an undermount sink, flaws in edge finishing and cutouts, premature failure of seam materials, and cutouts that do not match the approved design. Warranty coverage does not include damage from use (thermal shock/burn marks from hot cookware, chips or cracks caused by impacts), stains and acid etching (for marble), wear due to insufficient maintenance or lack of sealing, natural characteristics of stone (veins, micro-pores, variations in shade/pattern within tolerances), shifts caused by base deformation, or any modifications performed by third parties.
The material warranty is provided by the manufacturer or the official stone supplier. Engineered quartz brands often offer a limited “lifetime” warranty for residential properties (subject to registration and compliance with care guidelines). For sintered surfaces, typical warranty periods range from 10 to 25 years. Natural stone usually does not come with a factory warranty — its quality of fabrication and installation is covered by the contractor’s warranty. The term and scope of the warranty depend on the project and materials — contact Heartland Granite & Quartz in any convenient way on this page to get the current terms.
