The folks at GVD Renovations did a GREAT job on my siding project. From start to finish, there was consistent communication from Nick in project management, and the onsite crew was exemplary in performance. Their work ethic, craftsmanship, and commitment to customer satisfaction was evident daily. Whether it be the daily, visible progress, the communication on process and next steps, or the worksite cleanup at the end of the day, the commitment to professionalism and quality was palpable. So much so, that I chose them (without getting bids) to install a patio door in addition to the siding project. That’s a testament to the rapport and trust that was built during the project, facilitated primarily by Alex (sp?) who directed most of the onsite communication. GVD met all progress deadlines and exceeded expectations in quality of work. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to friends, family, and neighbors. If you want it done right, and on time, give GVD the opportunity to earn your business!

GVD Renovations replaced new insulted sidings on my house & we are extremely happy with the work. Our old wood sidings were deteriorating & painting was not an option. GVD’s crew were wonderful & very professional. Completed the work in less time than anticipated. Although it was very expensive, we got what we paid for. Loved the new look and our neighbors are asking for referrals. The pictures showed the before & after. 👍🏽

My initial experience with GBD was shaky but as the products came in and, Alex, my project manager, became involved my impression improved drastically. Alex managed the total kitchen renovation installation methodically and quickly, and kept me informed throughout. The installers were neat, kind and professional. I am thrilled with my new kitchen. I debated writing this review for a long time but now that I am seeing the defects in their product they sell, I have decided to write one. I signed a contract with GVD for a kitchen remodel and new electrical runs and electrical panel and a few miscellaneous repairs in October 2022, had all cabinets, countertops, tile and flooring picked out in December 2022. I was told it would take about 3 months to get started on the remodel, they started 6 months later. During this time, my electrical panel had partially failed (unable to use the AC/furnace and dryer) and needed to be replaced immediately. I notified them of the problem in March of 2023. They wouldn’t even get started on that. I was also told it would take them 1 month to complete the job, it took them 3 ½ months to finish. There were weeks where they wouldn’t come at all. Sales rep quoted me $7k for structural wall modification, once the contractor came he gave me the price of $12k. I get that it was just a quote but it wasn’t even in the range of the actual price. The same rep gave me change order for electrical runs of $1702 before the job got started. Once the job got started, they tried to give me another change order for the exact same runs with a price of $617. I never did get an answer as to why there was such a big difference and the there was no adjustment in the original change order. I also had them close off an old wall heater opening with drywall and texture and repair a large crack in the ceiling due to a roof replacement settling. They did texture it but did not even come close to matching the rest of the wall. They did not sand the texter down at all. You could literally leave scratch marks on your hand when you ran it over the texture. I sent the job manager a picture asking if they were going to fix it and never got a response. I had to finish their work myself. At this point I was done dealing with them and just wanted them to leave. Since the completion of my remodel in September 2023 the grout has started to crack and the cabinet finish as started to peel. The pictures speak for themselves. They send out a survey when the job is finished, I filled it out expressing my dissatisfaction with them and they never responded.

We recently had our siding and windows replaced by GVD Renovations. After getting quotes from five companies, GVD stood out for their competitive pricing and willingness to work with our needs. Choosing them turned out to be an excellent decision. The crew that worked on my house was fantastic. They were incredibly efficient and completed the job in a timely manner, minimizing disruption to my daily routine. They also kept the worksite clean and organized throughout the project. The city inspector who did the inspections even praised them for their high-quality work! This gave us immense peace of mind and confirmed our initial impression. The new siding has completely transformed the look and feel of our house! We are so happy with the final product.

We selected GVD Renovations after evaluating five other proposals. Their reputation, reviews, and James Hardie siding expertise along with competitive pricing were the deciding factors. Our project included removal of the old siding and demo of an old rotted deck. The installation of James Hardie Artisan V groove siding, El Dorado stacked stone veneer, and painting the siding, gutters, and downspouts. The siding and painting teams worked hard every day with attention to detail. They communicated any questions or concerns as needed. Overall, we were extremely pleased with the end result. Our house was transformed from an outdated cottage to an updated modern farmhouse.

I had several bids on siding and a window enlargement and GVD renovations was the most professional and detailed in their negotiations. I have had several contractors at my house over the years and I will say that GVD renovations did the highest quality job. The team's work was 5 star, there was such attention to detail , a superior job ethic. I am so happy how everything turned out, I highly recommend them. Only small detail may be a language barrier, I did not ask enough questions regarding each line item prior to signing the contract, so there was a couple of issues.

I am giving GVD a five star review only because that is the max you can give. I have built a house from scratch and done several other major renovations (kitchen, bathroom, living room, and bedroom addition). In all those projects there was something that didn't go right or I just wasn't happy with the results. With this siding project there was not a single issue and I couldn't be happier with the results. Communication was spot on. Nick answered my texts almost immediately. I can't say enough about the crew. Such nice guys and they had such attention to detail. They did above and beyond what we expected. I feel that we definitely got our money's worth. Added bonus, they cleaned up after themselves at the end of each day, so no living in construction debris. They also did the work so fast. My last project was supposed to take six weeks and it took five months. GVD did this project right on schedule. If you have a large project I would emphatically recommend them and will use them again.

We’ve had a mixed experience working with GVD. We have a beautifully redone bathroom/laundry room, with some unique requests that came out (mostly) well, like converting a door to a window to make room for a shower. Unfortunately, there are some major setbacks that anyone deciding on working with them should keep in mind. Not only is the work taking 5+ months longer than originally estimated (there have been no major house issues that should have caused this delay), but their reason for delay is pretty simply poor project management. The first delay was that they forgot to order our tile on time and the tile of choice was back ordered, and the second is that they forgot that our project wasn’t finished after the interior was done 2 months ago. The lack of organization required to forget that they have left our house unfinished and unworked on for months and without final payment is beyond me. To really put the cherry on top, the exterior finishing work that is still needed was originally quoted as “matching” our existing siding. Now they are telling us (after we asked them when they were coming back to finish our project) that they only do horizontal wood lap siding and cannot match our brick exterior. We would normally be open to this if it had been brought up in the beginning, but they mislead us by thinking they could match the brick. The overall price also does not reflect this change, and now we are worried they overcharged us. They haven’t even told us when workers will be sent out to finish or how long it will take. In summary, the project could have been finished quicker, cheaper, and with significantly better communication. I wish I could recommend the company as the work indoors turned out beautifully, but the fact that we’re still sitting in an unfinished house with no end in sight leads me to think they don’t care about their final product or customer satisfaction.

Wow. Just, wow. Absolutely so happy. We didn't want to take on such a large project at this time but we needed to. It was intimidating. Siding, sheathing, insulation, sealing and painting is a big project. We took a dozen bids, and each interaction was wildly different. Patrick sealed the deal during our initial meeting. "This is what we will do, this is why we do what we do and this is how we will do it." It was refreshing and reassuring. This interaction made us feel this was the right choice, even though the cost was more than some bids. Nick, the project manager communicated instantaneously when required. He didn't try to make us feel like we were a problem. You had this feeling he wanted to make sure they were going to be successful, please the customer, and adhere to their contract and initial estimate. They stayed under their project duration by days, the workers (the real pros here) were courteous, quick and clean. Those folks were undersold to say the least. (Patrick had told us they were something else.) I have watched similar projects take place at a very slow pace. That was not the case with GVD's choice of workers. It was quite impressive to watch the project unfold and be sealed back up so quickly. We almost went with a contractor that offered a lower bid, which, in the end, cost us more money due to an "if you complete a + b on your own, we won't charge you x" We tried that and had to back out of that partnership and start from scratch. GVD came in and gave me the straight answers. Had GVD been my first choice I would not have wasted my own manpower. In summary, go with GVD. It was a great experience. It was worth it.

They met and exceeded all my expectations by making the whole process easy and smooth. Really good customer service, and most importantly workmanship is excellent!!

I hired them to replace siding on my relatively small home a couple of months ago and I’m pleased with the result. I’ll be using their services again for other projects around my home soon.
