My experience with Tom and his company (Granite Top, Inc.) has been the worst experience of my life. Tom is the most charming person while you're in the buying process, but when you do not like the quality of his work he becomes and argumentative, disrespectful person who will resist any type of requests for revisions. I have 3 pictures shown: The first is the "curved" edge that we were promised, which looks like a horrible, broken-off piece of stone. The second shows chips that were scattered throughout our final work product. The final picture shows what Tom considers a "1 inch gap" between the end of the counter and the doorframe as we had requested (notice that the countertop is too wide, fabricated incorrectly, and runs directly into our doorframe). So the quality was horrible, but it does not match the absolutely horrendous customer service experience we had with Tom. He literally held our entire home remodel "hostage" because he took nearly 3 weeks to try to correct his mistakes. He literally told us that "we were not his only customers" and would get around to refabricating it "when he had time". He was disrespectful, argumentative, and kept saying that he "did not understand" when my fiancée and I tried to show him his mistakes. He then was dishonest and promised to give us a refund if we did not like the final product, and then refused to give us a refund because he said that us "not being happy with the final product wasn't a good enough reason to get a refund." After I threatened to go to the BBB and escalate the issue, he then decided to give us a refund. I am a business owner myself, and I am astounded that Tom could, as a business owner, put a client through such an incredibly distressful process. PLEASE, PLEASE do not let his low prices pull you in....pay a little more and go somewhere else. Tom is your best friend until you have an issue, then he turns into your worst enemy. Sadly, this experience with Granite Top. Inc. will go in my history books as the top example of a horrible product with horrible customer service.

I'm finishing up a remodel of my kitchen and two bathrooms and really wanted quartz countertops, but didn't think I could afford them. After looking at solid surfaces and finding that the nice ones were more expensive than I thought, I got some quotes for quartz. Granite Top was just above the lowest and had way better reviews so I went with them. It was a great experience and my countertops are beautiful! They were flexible with my schedule especially when I needed to split the job into two phases and they were very neat and conscientious with their work.

My husband and I are in the process of remodeling our 1/2 bathroom and wanted a counter top to compliment the existing tile, cabinet and sink in the room. I found Granite Top, Inc. by doing a google search and I was definitely not disappointed when we showed up. The owners are friendly and very helpful. We were able to look at their selection of remnants and found what we were looking for. They had the counter top and backsplash cut out in a timely fashion. Since we are doing the install ourselves, we were able to pick up our pieces in a couple of days. They made sure to cut the faucet and sink holes exactly where we wanted them to be and went over the usual process to install a counter top and made sure we had all of our questions answered before we left. We are planning to re-do our kitchen sometime in the future, and when that happens I would definitely go back to Granite Tops. I appreciate good customer service. Thank you.

We did our house remodel in January 2021 . Granite Top Inc done my kitchen and two bathrooms. That project has not been smooth without Tom and Zula s team . They are knowledgeable and had lots of experience. They have all the connections for choose materials and the right people to get you through the whole project. I employed this company's services to install both a countertop and backsplash. Although the countering task was completed without too much issue, the company's measurements for the backsplash were incredibly way off from our existing cut in the dry wall. This is an especially unfortunate miscalculation since they created a smaller hole, rather than fitting to the one already prepared. The worst part of this situation was when I attempted to rectify their error. The company outright denied any responsibility for the incorrect measurement, attempting to point the blame at me instead. This is not only unprofessional, but it's frustratingly unhelpful considering the circumstances. One incident particularly stands out in my mind, it was when I had to deal with one of their sales representatives, James. Our conversation was most unpleasant, marked by a terrible attitude and a clear unwillingness to help a customer in need. All in all, I am honestly taken back by the lack of efficiency and professionalism displayed by this company. They might offer countertop and backsplash services, but they definitely do not offer good customer service or admit their mistakes when they are clearly in the wrong.

The templater (I think his name is Alyson) came to measure my kitchen, he dedicated a lot of his time to explaining to me about problems with the execution of my cabinets that could visually interfere with the alignment of my counter after installing the stone, he advised me to make some repairs in my cabinets to avoid problems, in addition he made a hand drawing to illustrate what he was trying to show me, this guy is very dedicated to what he does.

This company deserves more than 5 stars. From start to finish, this company and their team, made replacing my kitchen counter tops an enjoyable experience. First I went to 5 companies for quotes. Granite Top was, by far, the best quote I received. Everyone I dealt with was knowledgeable, professional, and very pleasant. They even delivered my counter tops during a snow storm. Wow... So lucky to have found these guys! We always check reviews and theirs looked promising. We weren't disappointed! Walked in looking for a remnant for a 60" vanity and Zula was incredibly helpful. Not pushy, not trying to sell us something we weren't feeling, and her design-eye is top shelf! We came up with two remnant slabs we were interested in, but on a lark Zula remembered a half slab in their fabrication area. Showed it to us and it was EXACTLY what we were looking for. Templating was bang on, vanity top installation also. Our backsplash was slightly delayed due to us wanting that in 2 CM and our job bumping up against another - but we were cool with that. AND - both Tom and Zula came after work to install it for us - on a Saturday no less - because they didn't want us to wait for it. Service, selection, and quality install. Everyone we dealt with was super nice and accommodating. We purchased our countertops from someone else who subbed the fabrication out to Granite Top. We are picky and had a difficult install with a lot of windows. They let us come look at the templates and make a few changes. They were accommodating with our quick turnaround as we brought in contractors from out of state. Everything we asked them to fix during install they did without a complaint. Countertops look great!

Absolutely fabulous and highly recommended! Granite Top team goes above and beyond the call of duty. My countertops are gorgeous and I'm very pleased with the way they turned out. Zula went above and beyond to help me choose the right countertops by providing recommendations of different colors and types of granites & marbles, she is very knowledgeable. She listened to my needs and was able to quickly identify the color and style that would complement my cabinets. I was in a rush to get the work completed, and I was pleasantly surprised how quickly Granite Top was able to schedule measurements and installation with such a short notice. I came in on Saturday for initial appointment and I had my countertops installed by Tuesday. The installers were on time, extremely professional, and very considerate of their surroundings. They had an amazing expertise in dealing with large and heavy countertops. Everything was placed, and pieced perfectly with great accuracy. They did an exquisite work and very, very skilled at what they do. With Tom and his team's expert advice it was a worry free experience. I had my lovely kitchen granite countertop installed and fabricated by Granite Top. I'm very happy and want to thank them all. It took me a lot of time to pick a slab, come up with a shape, support and layout. Top Granite team all were very helpful and ensured that everything is exactly how I want it at every step of the project. At the same time price was very decent. I recently had Granite Top install my new granite counter tops in my kitchen remodel. The entire crew, from the initial measuring visit to the installation crew went perfectly. They were all polite, very careful, and skilled. The one and only seam is perfect. They worked hard to keep dust out of the air, and cleaned up everything well. They left nothing behind. My slab required a very complicated lay-out which was done beautifully. On top of every thing else, Tom got this done in record time. From initial contact to installation was just a couple of weeks. I couldn't be happier, and would highly recommend Granite Top to anyone looking for an installer. Thanks Tom!!

Although nearly twice the cost of a big box store, we were very pleased with the product and installation. Tom was easy to work with and we would definitely use Granite Top again. My only complaint is they forgot to leave a sample when they left so I could take it with me when purchasing paint.

We hired Granite Top Inc for our kitchen countertop fabrication and installation. They were responsive to get the countertop we wanted and installed it. Right after installation we found many strap marks on the countertop and we told them about it. Once we reported The problem, they were non responsive and would not return calls or respond to emails. Tom, our contact, did not provide customer satisfaction to ensure that the problem would be taken care of. New countertop was eventually installed and another mark was found. Granite Top has not once called to apologize or to assure us how the mark will be cleared. I would not recommend Granite Top Inc to anyone. Very poor in providing customer Support and satisfaction.

The installation was cut shorter than designed, yet we were charged the same amount. And, a couple of months later we discovered the countertop on the peninsula was not glued down. When I called and spoke with Tom to schedule this item be complete, he was a NO SHOW the day of, then never answered mine or my husbands subsequent calls. The same day Tom was a NO SHOW, we had also scheduled an additional hole be drilled for a sink bit. I think Tom gives good face, but lacks integrity.

STEER CLEAR! Deposit down and slabs picked out on the 27th of April. Suggest that IF there is enough product left over potentially doing our downstairs mini bar area. It's the 27th of May I have been canceled on TWICE. Last week it was due to machines being down, this week it was due to product being delivered late. WHEN THEY GET CALLED OUT FOR LYING they email me saying their machines are totally down and have to refund my money. HORRIBLE COMPANY DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY.

A big disappointment. We were looking for a granite remnant for our bath remodel. Granite Top had one, and Tom offered it to us at a very reasonable price ($300). They also agreed to cut it to size, cut the sink and faucet openings, and install it with back-splashes and a Kohler K-2210 sink for another $300. The deal sounded too good to be true, but we gave them a $300 down payment, and told them we would let them know when our cabinets were installed. A month later, when our cabinets were in, we delivered to Tom several detailed architectural drawings showing the vanity cabinet dimensions, the size the granite top needed to be, and the locations where the sink and faucet cutouts needed to be cut in the countertop. Since there is not much room in a 21" deep vanity cabinet for the sink, the faucets and a backsplash, we were very careful to place the sink on our drawings as far forward as the cabinet would allow, so there would be adequate room for the faucets between the sink and the backsplash, without having the faucets up against the backsplash or creating knuckle interference during faucet operation. I asked Tom if he understood the drawings or had any questions about how to cut our stone and he said he understood the drawings and didn't have any querstions. After Tom and his helper instaled the countertop, my wife noticed that the sink was not the Kohler K-2210 that we wanted (and had ordered and was which listed on our invoice), but a different Chinese sink. In addition, the sink and faucet holes were not cut according to the drawings we gave them, and they were actually both about 1" too far towards the back of the countertop. This was very upsetting because it was the one thing we wanted to avoid and which I specifically questioned Tom about after I gave him the drawings. We demanded that the sink be replaced, which Tom grudgingly did, after mumbling that "a model 2210 sink is just any standard sink", but there was nothing he could do about the faucet holes being right up against the backsplash. Tom, if you read this, please Google "2210 sink" and see what brand comes up. The result is that we got a beautiful stone countertop, at a decent price, but it was not cut to our specifications (and my knuckles bump the backsplash every time I use the faucets!). Granite Top has reasonable prices, but watch for the "bait and switch" if you agree to buy a sink from them, and don't expect them to be able to read or follow architectural prints or drawings. I don't think Tom or his worker have any functional training in dimensioning, tolerancing or how to interpret drawings or blueprints.
