We had never purchased any counter tops from GRANITE MR, but from the first time we arrived, we knew this was the place to get the best deal and the best advice. Alexis was very helpful offering suggestions on what material to purchase for our counter top, as well as, color and style. She offered suggestions, without pressure. We decided on Quartz manufactured by Cambria. Alexis also suggested that we drive to Beltsville to see the actual slab we would purchase. We are really glad we did, because when we saw the slabs, and there are many, we actually decided on another pattern. After our slab was delivered to GRANITE MR, Ricky sent us pictures of the computer assisted cut and design. We also decided to come into their site to see it in person. Once we signed off, it only took a couple of days for our countertops to be delivered. The installation went as smooth as the buying experience. The 2 gentlemen came, removed our old Corian counter top and installed the new in a couple of hours. What a transition! The whole experience was so seamless, we decided to purchase a new granite top, in a contrasting color, for our island from them as well. Thank you GRANITE MR.

Four stars because the counters look great, but communication was very lacking. The installers seem to know what they are doing, but seems like the logistics of the business are pretty poor. In the shop we had no issues working with the sales people, and they took a dimensioned drawing I made and gave us a pretty accurate quote on the spot (ended up within 10% of the actual price). They had a great selection of stone in stock, so we really knew what we were getting before we bought it. It was during the templating and installing portions of dealing with this company that they lost a star. First, they always said they would call me 30 min before people would arrive, and this NEVER happened. Second, the guy doing the templating (which is all done with a laser measuring device) didn't notice that one of my sinks was not sitting in square (despite me telling him several times), so he had to come back on another day. I found this out by them texting me and saying he would be there the next afternoon, got no time estimate, then at text at 11:40am asking if I could make the 40min drive from work to home in 20min... During the install, it seems the shop didn't read the drawings correctly, and they didn't polish the back edge of my island counter, meaning someone had to come out the next day and do the install. I ended up taking 3 half days off work and a lunch break when I really should have only needed to do one. To their credit, the company always answered their phone, but don't expect them to call you first, even if they say they will. Their scheduling and quality control departments need an overhaul, but in a couple months I'll have forgotten that and just be happy to have a nice countertop.

I could not be happier with my experience!! The staff was so helpful. Even when I popped in and they were busy, I always felt welcome. I took many months to decide what I wanted. Alexis was there to help every step, always explaining the inventory and differences between the products. The installation was speedy and well done. Can’t wait for my next project to get the chance to work with them again.

Ricky (the owner) was helpful, patient, and accommodating from the moment we stepped into the showroom. He was also a little indulgent to my 81 yr old mother (which she loved). There's great selection here and the choice was easy. We found beautiful quartz countertops for the semi-renovation/refresh of her kitchen. The price was very reasonable with 50% down and the balance due at delivery. The turn-around time was incredibly short. After laser measurements were taken we had very beautiful perfectly installed countertops and backsplashes in under a week. Everyone (sales, receptionist, laser technician, and installers) was super professional and efficient. The installers sent to our home (Horacio and Cristian) were respectful and good at their trade. They went beyond the scope of their work and even corrected an error made by our cabinet contractor (another company). We are grateful as we wouldn't have been able to do this work ourselves. I happened upon Granite MR when I was heading to another Granite company in Baltimore that I’d seen advertising on Facebook. I was totally disappointed because the place which I had called before driving over an hour did not have the Quartz they told me they had. Let me tell you I have never been so happy then in finding Granite MR. First off Granite MR employees turned out to be honest and the company upfront about their services. From my selection of Quartz they lived up to everything they said they would do. Laser measurement was done at scheduled time. Then my sales rep Nora followed up with an installation date and time. On 1/18/22 the install team Eduardo and Julio arrived on time. I had existing backsplash that I wanted to keep but was concerned it would be destroyed. Eduardo and Julio removed my old granite without issue and installed my new Quartz which I truly love. I highly recommend Granite MR of Baltimore and will definitely be using them for any future projects.

We could not be happier with the experience we had at GRANITE MR! We were building a house at the beach & our builder suggested we go to GRANITE MR. Alexis & her team were amazing to deal with. They were patient as we went to both the storeroom & warehouse many times! The workmanship of the installed granite - both in our kitchen, island & four bathrooms was amazing. Can't tell you how many compliments we have received on the granite selection! They matched seams flawlessly. Kudos to Alexis & her team.

Our experience in working with MR Granite was excellent. We visited several other companies and were treated very well, but MR Granite really went the extra mile to help us make a decision even to the point of finding other patterns before we came back to order what we originally had planned to order. Alexis was fantastic. She offered another pattern which was an even better match for our bathroom vanity. We went with her suggestion which turned out to work better with our bathroom design. Very pleased with their service. We would highly recommend this company.

This is my second project with Granite MR, the first was 10 years ago in another house. As always they were super respectful of my time and my home. Just finished up doing business with them. I wanted to give them 5 stars but just like the previous comments communication with the front office not too great or consistent. Otherwise gotta give them credit for the stone and install. They gave great work and overall price for new island and repurpose of old granite to new vanity tops. However there were some "don't like surprises" updated cost moments and schedule delay after taking time off work as planned. The shop manager did finally make up for some messes in the end. Therefore I'd recommend them.

First time homebuyer with saved up budget to do countertops and I wish I hadn't. Poor communication and poor install. I spoke with this company multiple times regarding install and the plumbing work. I was told I needed a disconnect and reconnect so that's what I arranged with the plumber. The installers unattached my dishwasher but told no one that they did not reattach it, therefore it almost fell out when I ran it. When speaking to them about this they blamed me stating that I was supposed to know this was what they meant when they said disconnect reconnect but they were the ones to unattach it to begin with! Plus, how would I know unless I was told. I know nothing about this process and feel it's the businesses responsibility to inform me of the scope of the job including my responsibility and their responsibility. They did agree to come attach it, but only because they already had to come fix a deep noticeable seam. Flash forward to now, they left a huge gap between the counter and the wall that they filled with glue that has now cracked and crumbled away. The epoxy they used to seal has turned a yellowish dirty color and my countertops are rough and gritty. I assumed the sandy feeling was debris from install that needed to be cleaned but nope-- after speaking to a professional I've been informed it's due to low quality slab or poor finishing process. Ultimately so sad over this. This was a huge expense for me and what should have been,an exciting renovation. It literally has left me sad. I'm still paying for these countertops and they weren't cheap but the workmanship was! Im not sure the company even cares! It was difficult working with them during install I can't imagine reaching out to them now six plus months after will do any good. But for the money I spent and the fact that these are granite counters, I should not be having these issues. Deeply regret using their service.

Measure twice, cut once.. a lesson I wish some one taught this business. I got a great deal through Lowe's on Black Friday for new granite countertops, however, Granite MR treated the job and myself as a discount customer. The initial measurements were completely incorrect, which lead them to have to cut a completely new hole for the sink. For some reason, they decided the best course of action was to make a 33x24 inch cut INSIDE MY KITCHEN. No drop cloths, no plastic, not even a warning so that I could cover everything they told me to remove from the cabinets. There was an absolute cloud of smoke on the entire first floor. We spent almost a whole day cleaning (the day before Christmas) because of this unprofessional install. On top of that, they accidentally broke part of the countertop. Rather than fix it, they glued it together and installed it hoping I wouldn't notice? Whenever I called the office, I was met with a rude woman who would speak over me without even hearing me out. I was told for weeks I would get a call from a manager, no call. I called again and again and finally got a manager who treated us like we were the scum of the earth just looking for a further discount. He eventually offered an INSULTING $150 discount did the issue, which he later reneged on through Lowe's and said they would not be offering any compensation. Complete bait and switch throughout the process. Poor service, inexcusably poor fabrication and installation, and overall poor quality company. Shop around before you commit.
