Aside from a minor delay in the timeline discussed (we are in the construction business, so we understand this can be an unavoidable part of any project) every part of this experience was superb. Dave was extremely professional when estimating the project. Kevin, our template maker, has a wonderful personality and was very efficient. Then Travis and crew were absolutely outstanding; all three were friendly, conscientious and professional as well. Five Star service and Ten Star results! Thank you Granite Guys

We recently had Granite Guys cut and install granite countertops in our kitchen and bathroom and tile our kitchen backsplash. Randy, Keith and Danny removed our "old school" tile job and Keith and Danny did a great job installing the granite. Chris did excellent work on the tile backsplash and the whole job turned out great. Thanks to the whole crew including Dave who did the estimate and answered my many questions and Tami for the "doughnut" and help in the office. Beautiful results. Would recommend this company

I decided to redo my kitchen counters with prefab granite. Budget friendly merchandise purchased at Flooring Liquidators. Once the order arrived, I met with Granite Guys installer Martin. The granite arrived with no issues and Martin marked each slab with tape as to where I wanted placed. 2 weeks later, demo began and it took only a few hours. Day 2, granite was installed and I am very happy! The installers cleaned up after themselves very well!
Communication was excellent! Office manager was very nice. I highly recommend this establishment.

My husband and I love our new Carrara marble countertops! The countertops were installed and completed in about two hours and all the cuts and edges were perfect. The marble pieces are stunning. We are incredibly happy with Randy’s work. He also went over the care of the marble thoroughly. Thank you!!

I purchased a counter top from Design Tile in early May of 2017. The counter was to be fabricated to be used in my bathroom. I provided Randy with my measurements and I went to his shop and was told it would take a couple of weeks. I went back in late May to check on the status and was told again by Randy that it wasn't ready and that he had misplaced my measurements. I provided Randy with the measurements again and was again told it would be a couple of weeks. The excuse of my order had to be put on the back burner because of having larger jobs. He told me that he would call me when it was ready. I waited for over 1 month and finally went to the shop in mid July. I again spoke with Randy and he told me some big jobs came up and I was next on the list of jobs. He then told me it would be ready on August 5th. I arrived on the proposed date and again was given the same run around. He promised that it would be ready on the 12th in the morning. I again arrived on the date stated but I was told the workers hadn't finished it. I then agreed to come back later. Finally it was ready. They put the fabricated counter on a pad in the back of my truck. When I was getting ready to install it I noticed that there were gouges in the face. After 2 days of attempting to contact Randy he finally called back and his answer was "the piece I had was the better part of the originally slab." He said that when he received it that was the way he received it. I personally checked out the slab 2 days before it was picked up and would not have bought it. I paid $350 for the slab and $200 for the fabricating and he is blaming the dealer. No to count the 5 times driving from Susanville. I feel he did not do anything in good faith, he only passed it off on to the dealer. I am sure he and his crew know what they are doing, but if you have a smallest job they do it when they get around to it. Plus the remains portion is destroyed. I personally will not take to or recommend his business.
I would like to update my previous post. At the time I wrote my last review I was highly upset. Since my last post I was contacted by Spencer, who I understand is the owner. In conversing with him we came to an understanding that stuff happens wherein he has no control over. Since then I have received my completed sink top and both my wife and I are satisfied. I wish to thank Spencer for going that extra step to make a customer happy.

I recently had granite countertops installed by the Granite Guys. Not only did Spencer go out of his way to help my wife and I search for the ideal slab to fit our budget but they also did a fine job of creating and installing the countertops. More tellingly, when a freak accident with one of ther installers resulted in a small dent to our refridgerator, Spencer and Randy immediately owned up to it and replaced the dented refridgerator door free of charge. Finally, they also agreed to hold my remnant and work with other clients to sell my leftover granite.
In addition to a high level of quality, this group, including their office manager Tami, is a class act!

Granite Guys are (Spencer, Randy, Keith, Tami) and then there is The Granite Guys (Dave). I do NOT recommend Dave! Somehow a review got mixed in here and he unabashedly answered it!
I do recommend Spencer, Randy, Keith Tami! In fact, they are the ONLY place in town I would recommend to do granite counter tops. They are busy, but they are worth the wait. They're just good guys to work with, intent on making the customer happy, and they do good work!!

We really love our new add on for our counter. We were not able to sit at our counter because there was no overhang and also too low to eat comfortably. Granite guys had many remnants to choose from for our small project. Thank you guys for the great work and for giving us a functional eating area.

I highly recommend the Granite Guys. I had a very small remodel job of an old bathroom. I only needed a small remnant for the vanity counter and a few pieces to add to the shower to match. Martin helped me tremendously with picking out a piece from their large selection of remnants. They were quick to get it cut and installed but unfortunately there was a problem with the counter top. The sink was off center. Spenser (owner) was responsive, professional and forward thinking about this issue. He went above and beyond to rectify the situation by finding another remnant from another company that closely matched the original and cutting a brand new top at his expense. I was very pleased with the customer service I received from Spenser and his entire crew.

These guys were wonderful from start to finish!!! Very professional and always pleasant. They retrieved my granite from the store the day I bought it. I had comfort in knowing it was safe and sound awaiting cabinet building. We had delays and mess ups with our cabinet maker and the Granite Guys said "no worries, we will hold onto your granite as long as you need". I can't brag enough about how perfect the granite turned out. It's just PERFECT!! I truly couldn't be happier!! Thank you Tami, Randy, Spencer and all the others who helped.

I was very concerned about the quality of fabrication and installation of the new granite countertops for my kitchen. Unlike with other companies Spencer the owner came over and took measurements. And he oversaw the installation. They came out beautifully! And the price wasn't the highest.

I have used Granite Guys on two large remodel projects and also for some granite repair (we've been a bit rough on our island edges!) Not only was their install perfect and priced fairly, they are dependable, on time and very courteous/professional. I personally worked with Spencer whose customer service is unparalleled. I can't recommend them enough.

So, ready the negative reviews about Granite guys I am pretty sure they will respond with a rebuttal. That's fine because that's what they do. I'm giving 2 stars as the installers were amazing and fast. I'd give them zero stars if I could because communication is HORRIBLE. I hired this establishment September of 2020 and was told that they would look at their schedule and let me know when they could get it installed. I waited for awhile and so did the Granite store I bought our granite from. After what seemed like an eternity, I got a call from them to meet at the granite store to go over templates. Sweet! Progress. It was another couple of weeks before I heard from them about install. They finally scheduled for October. I was ok with this as we were waiting for our appliances to be delivered. Again, the installers were nice and professional. I did discuss with Granite Guys to have the backsplash done too. I wanted to do subway tiles. I bought the tiles from another location and let Granite Guys know I had it. They gave me the contact info for their "tile guy". I attempted to make contact and never heard from him. I left Granite guys a VM and they didn't respond. On demo day, the installers removed all my backsplash and countertops. They said they'd be back the next day to install. They showed up late stating they had to wait for the cuts to be made. Fine. When they finished the install of counters, I asked the manager about the backsplash. He said it was not part of the original quote, again, fine. He said he'd go back and measure how much granite we had left to see if he could use it. I preferred to use the granite. I finally heard from him a few days later and he said they did have enough. I asked for a quote. About a week later, still no quote. I emailed asking for quote and finally got it. I approved it and didn't hear from them again. I emailed a few times and finally got a call back from the manager. I asked if we could get it installed before Thanksgiving and he said no because of COVID and people being out sick. He said he would call me in a week or so to schedule. I was again alright with this. That was the last time I heard from them. It is now February. I ended up repairing the drywall myself and installed my own backsplash. As you can see from the pictures, they left an area without any drywall, they left the wall under my breakfast bar unfinished and the left my counter being held on by a C clamp. If you like to be ignored then this is the place for you. I will not recommend this business to anyone.

Sorry that I cannot recommend Granite Guys. I emailed a detailed layout for our kitchen counter and was told we would need 2 slabs of quartz. David came out to measure. I asked specifically if 2 slabs would be sufficient. He said yes. I received a call from the quartz supplier saying David had stopped by and determined we needed 3 slabs. An additional $2,000+ cost!! (With advance notice of this we could have gone with a different material for the backsplash, etc.)
And the communication with the company was agonizing. I asked multiple times for the dates of install. Finally received a date. Asked for the time and was told morning. With no further communication they showed up after 1:00PM. It would have been SO easy for them to call to say we would not be the first appointment of the day.
Oh, and I am pretty sure they did not use the 3rd slab of quartz AT ALL so that was $2,000 wasted.
BTW - I am giving 2 stars instead of 1 because the actual installers did a great job.

Do not use this company!! Horrible customer service, flaky employees, don't respond to your calls, don't stand behind their work. One of the employees showed up with his dog, the other I caught sleeping on my living room floor because he had a headache. Tile backsplash had to be redone and we still have a cracked tile that they won't fix. The granite installation was just ok, you can see all the spots they tried to buff out and the seams are horrible.

Completely false comments that also clearly show that you and your firm are not sorry for anything, that is for certain. Honestly, a simple apology would have sufficed. I called twice and spoke to you briefly once and simply asked if I could speak to the estimator to get his thoughts on the job. That was it. We spoke for about 15 seconds. You were nice and said someone would get back to me and I said great, thank you. I didn't hear back so I followed up and left a brief message simply requesting the same thing. No one ever updated the rental agency either. I would have been happy to pay for the trip and the estimator's time and still would be willing to. Also, I have no problem at all with your firm not accepting the job. I've been in real estate for over 25 years and have worked with hundreds of contractors, fabricators, subs, etc. There's nothing personal or upsetting in the least about someone not being able to do a particular job or choosing not to. And yes, I found someone to do the job the same day (actually two out of the 3 granite fabricators that came to the site said yes, your firm being the one to say no). Maybe I caught Randy on a bad day. I'm happy to hear he's not like that everyday or to everyone else, because he was unbelievably rude and disrespectful to me. I didn't mention this in my first review, but he also insulted the largest rental agency in Lake Tahoe during our conversation, which completely puzzled me. Again, totally uncalled for. However, I did pass his comments on to them. I have not disrespected anyone at your firm and your response is indicative of the type of customer service that I experienced. On the other end of the spectrum, as I mentioned before, the owner of Stone Creations of NV is incredibly customer service oriented, very personable, and does exceptional work. I highly recommend him and his firm for any granite or tile work. Have a pleasant day.
Update:
OK, wow. To be clear, no I do not want you to feel sorry for not taking the job. No idea where that came from. I'm totally fine with the decision. You throw the word "sorry" around without obviously knowing what it means. Your last post started out with "I am sorry for your experience", which was nice, but then you proceeded to blast me with personal insults, call me a liar, and imply that for some unknown reason, I would take time out of my day to make all of this up just to post it on Yelp to discredit your firm. Why would I do that? I wouldn't and no one would. Life is way too short. I've been very clear about why I posted this review - it was without question, one of the worst customer experiences I've ever encountered. Finally, I never said you were rude to me at any time while we were speaking, as you now just wrote. In fact, if you read my update, I wrote that you were actually "nice" when we spoke. So who's telling the truth? I will let others make their own decisions about that.

Installation was atrocious. Left the cut-in around the sink jagged. I just can't believe they'd leave it so sloppy and then be difficult about coming back. They did come back to try and fix it but it still looks bad and discolored.
Measurements were not great either. The estimator measured from the molding instead of our island posts and now the counter edge sticks out about a half of an inch too far around the entire island. Countertop looks oversized now.
They were really aggressive about getting payment before installation even with giving them a sizable deposit to start.
Was expecting MUCH better quality for the price.
UPDATE. This is my own review. Our counters weren't perfect and we were left very disappointed. If you look at my review history, I have new issue giving glowing reviews as well. Obviously I felt this place didn't live up to my expectations

These prices turned out to be among the lowest of all companies in Sparks, NV, which allowed us to categorize Granite Guys Inc as a contractor in the affordable pricing segment.

Unfortunately, as part of our independent research, we were unable to obtain information about the turnaround time for countertop fabrication and installation from Granite Guys Inc in Sparks, NV. Acting as a mystery shopper, our analyst attempted to contact company representatives to clarify the timeframe for a standard 83.4 sq. ft. countertop project — however, either the calls and messages went unanswered, or the staff were unable or unwilling to provide an estimated completion time. It’s important to note that situations like this are not uncommon: contractors may be overwhelmed with work, prefer to discuss project details in person, or choose not to disclose information during the initial contact.

Does Granite Guys Inc offer cutouts for sinks, cooktops, or other elements?
Yes, like most professional contractors in the market, Granite Guys Inc performs cutouts and countertop preparation for various components — both standard and modern. According to our findings, these services are typically included in the overall project estimate. The standard scope usually covers cutouts for sinks (undermount, drop-in, or farmhouse) and holes for faucets or other plumbing fixtures. Additional cutouts — such as for cooktops, hidden or pop-up outlets, built-in wireless chargers, or other accessories — are discussed individually at the project planning and estimating stage.
It’s important to note that while the cutouts and countertop preparation are usually performed by the company, the installation of electrical and plumbing fixtures (such as faucets, outlets, or appliances) may not be included in their scope of work and could require licensed professionals. We recommend clarifying this point when placing your order.
To avoid misunderstandings, ask for a detailed estimate with a breakdown of all services: cutout pricing, installation, and any add-on options. This will ensure project transparency and help you clearly understand what you're paying for.
What guarantees does Granite Guys Inc provide for its work?
According to our information and industry practice, Granite Guys Inc, like most participants in the ranking, provides a workmanship warranty valid for 1 year from the date of countertop installation. This period is usually specified in the contract. We do not rule out that the company may have extended warranty terms (2 years or more), however, during our research, we did not receive confirmed data from the contractor regarding the duration and scope of its warranty.
The contractor’s warranty covers defects in fabrication and installation, such as uneven or separating seams, leveling and fastening issues, detachment or sagging of an undermount sink, flaws in edge finishing and cutouts, premature failure of seam materials, and cutouts that do not match the approved design. Warranty coverage does not include damage from use (thermal shock/burn marks from hot cookware, chips or cracks caused by impacts), stains and acid etching (for marble), wear due to insufficient maintenance or lack of sealing, natural characteristics of stone (veins, micro-pores, variations in shade/pattern within tolerances), shifts caused by base deformation, or any modifications performed by third parties.
The material warranty is provided by the manufacturer or the official stone supplier. Engineered quartz brands often offer a limited “lifetime” warranty for residential properties (subject to registration and compliance with care guidelines). For sintered surfaces, typical warranty periods range from 10 to 25 years. Natural stone usually does not come with a factory warranty — its quality of fabrication and installation is covered by the contractor’s warranty. The term and scope of the warranty depend on the project and materials — contact Granite Guys Inc in any convenient way on this page to get the current terms.
