Man... these people are amazing. I had a couple of projects going on and they have been so accommodating. One project was extremely difficult but they made it work! Everyone from service to techs have been extremely knowledgeable and have worked with me from day one. I'm so happy with the service I've received and I'm excited to be able to have my kitchen done soon. I need to give a shout out to Karla, though. As a service advisor/customer service agent, she's been wonderful. Thank you Karla and team!

We’ve been using Granite City for all of our remodels for the past 2 years and they have never failed to impress not only us, but our clients as well. Carla is on top of scheduling all templates and going the length to get the installers out to the job site on time. Todd has good attention to detail when creating the templates and their installers have such a skill when installing the counters

Granite City is definitely the place to go when you want to update your counter tops! I was very impressed with the customer service and rapid scheduling of the installation. They were very patient and supportive with me during this process, which required quite a few trips, until I made my final decision. I was impressed the minute I walked in the door of the showroom to the gentleman that measured our dimensions and of course the installers. This was a great experience and would recommend them wholeheartedly to anyone and will definitely use them again for future projects.
Thank you Granite City!

Karla that works here was extremely rude when I was asking her financial questions about my quartz job specifically how much money was already charged on my credit card and how much more money I owed them, She got frustrated and hung up on me I demanded they refund my partial payment, then she realized they wanted the job and contacted me back to apologize. I gave them the job and then they left my outlets undone on the wall and refused to come back and attach my outlets back to the quartz backsplash, her excuse was they don’t do electrical! Attaching an outlet with screws back to the quartz wall is not real electrical work. I paid them a lot of money and was very unhappy with how I was treated and would not recommend using this company to anyone! **UPDATE AFTER READING THEIR RESPONSE!!** GRANITE CITY LIES ! I was hung up on because KARLA was not answering my question and she got upset with me she was on speaker phone my mother and husband heard all!! Then she called back and I refused to hire them and I was demanding my partial payment back until she apologized for hanging up on me. So she quickly apologized because they didn’t want to refund me and wanted to keep my business we were NEVER disconnected! Quit lying or I will keep leaving reviews for the world to know how terrible you treat your customers!

Outstanding professionals! The owner, Welison oversaw the job right from the beginning and made sure everything was done right and that everyone was taken care. The client loved the white sparkle countertops so much it brought her to tears, she was overjoyed! We will definitely be doing more business with these guys and highly recommend using Granite City for your next home renovations.

Overall.... Excellent! We buy a lot of countertops over the years and this company ranks up on top. Small enough to be personal, but big enough to get the job done. Price and timeliness was just fine. And install was great except that the installers came a few hours too early and I had to rush over to get them in, but not an issue this time.

We had recommendations from more than one source that led us to Granite City. Once there, Marla put us at ease pretty quick. With a rough diagram of our project and a decision on materials, she worked up a quote that was very reasonable. The measurements were taken in just a few days and installation scheduled for the next week. Kinda surprised how fast things moved. Our installation hit a snag with the backsplash because our very old kitchen cabinets were no where near level. The installers were quick to suggest the backsplash needed some work to fit our space. They were back in just a few days, installed the new sink and backsplash. All was well until the caulk color we chose did not look good with our older wall tile. Again, the installers quickly brought it to our attention while it could still be corrected. We switched colors and were done in no time. No project goes perfect but Granite City’s experienced team had the solution for every hurdle. We will be back when we’re ready for that kitchen island. Thanks again!

Made a U-turn when we were on our way to what certainly would have been a more expensive proposition. Looks like a hole in the wall place but terrific customer service. We picked a piece of scrape granite and had end table toppers cut and polished. 48 hours later huge improvement to my bed decor.

Shopped all around for a remnant for a master bathroom counter. Went to all the other granite suppliers. One of my customers recommended Granite City. Mitchell at Granite City was amazing! I didn't have to haggle, he was quick and they had a great selection! I was in and out of there in 20 minutes. A week later everything was installed! Not only do I LOVE my counters, the installers, price, timeframe, but their service was the best! Go see Mitchell at Granite City!!! They were way better than other companies I've used in the past. Home improvement made easy!!!

After spending 3 days searching all over the Tampa/Clearwater area searching for that special Granite I had in mind for our Condo remodel in Clearwater Beach, I came across Granite City. Immediately I found a Slab of Granite I LOVED. Erin was so understanding, courteous, and professional. Our condo renovation has taken on a life of its own, being a out of town owner makes it that much more difficult. Erin and Devin, made this part of it so easy. They were so cooperative and understanding when my project kept getting delayed, not to any fault of theirs. When we were finally ready for the granite, there was a issue with the slab and Devin was not happy with how it was coming out. He called me and suggested a replacement, which he ordered, and said come down take a look at it, and if you don't like it pick out anything you like. Turns out, I loved his suggested replacement. The installation took place when I was not there, and my project manager said the install went great, they cleaned up their mess, and it looks beautiful. I agree, it looks exactly as I was wishing for. I should note that my husband is a contractor of similar products, pavers and concrete on Long Island, so we are extremely aware and sensitive to customer service as well as craftsmanship. Granite City is a A++ in our books. If they were on Long Island they would be referred to our customers for their granite needs. Highly recommend Erin and Devin.

I actually feel like they went out of their way to help us. The office team was always professional and pleasant and the countertops looked phenomenal. Will definitely use them again!

lacked attention to detail. 1/2" gap between counter and wall and the granite isn't sealed properly...liquids penetrate the surface too easily. management was completely unresponsive. just not acceptable for such a high end product ...i recommend you go somewhere else.

No communications to me for time and dates, they screwed that up 4x
The granite is finally in, but they exhausted me.

Worst nightmare ever. They came in and installed quartz in our kitchen and then later sent out and installer to drill the hole for the faucet. The installer drilled the hole too close to the farm sink and drilled into the farm sink itself. There's no way to attach the kitchen faucet so basically the countertop is ruined. After doing that they sent someone out to drill the hole even larger, still too close to the sink and made it even worse. The hole is so big that the faucet collapses into the hole from the bottom and is visible from the top and the hole is visible from the top. There's not enough material there left to secure the faucet to. This is been going on for months. We've been using a cold water kitchen sprayer coming up through the hole for months now. The owner Sam, original contractor Steve Walker, and employee Mitchell has suggested Jerry rigging it but we don't want to do that. We paid for professional work and expect to get professional looking work. They have lied to us repeatedly and made appointments to come out and never showed up. They just did it to us AGAIN today and yesterday. No call no text nothing they just don't show up. It's unbelievable. What kind of business botches a job and just leaves it like that? In addition they've suggested that we come out and choose a remnant of material to remake the countertops. They're trying to force us to choose from scraps unlike the product that was originally installed. We went down over a month ago and chose different materials and Mitchell said ok we'll let you know what Steve Walker says and then never heard from them. Then he had the nerve to say that we didn't show up or select anything. Liars. It's really unbelievable. This is a tiny kitchen and they can't even finish it. They screwed it up themselves and then just completely dropped the ball. Photo is what they left us with. We're using a cold water sprayer to do dishes with now for months. We've been through both Thanksgiving and Christmas like this.

Very bad experience. We waited the whole day on the day that they said they would be there to install our countertop and they never came. There was no phone call or text. The next day they arrived unannounced. i told them they could take the old countertop away but I wanted them to leave the faucets and hardware. When they finally did the job which took about 20 minutes, they left and we discovered that the sink stopper was missing as well as the pipe that connects to the sink. They also broke the shutoff valve under the sink. i have called repeatedly and have gotten no response.

Yes our countertops are beautiful BUT... still incomplete
I never write bad reviews. We used Granite city to get new countertops for our kitchen. The first time they came they were well over two hours late. Then one of the slabs broke with second-half and we understand that can happen. They left and our kitchen was a mess for an entire week before they came back with a new slab.
On top of this whatever they took apart in the sink created a leak and ruined the floors to the front room... we found this out when our daughter slipped & FELL from the water leaking through the floor. Then I fell holding the baby ... we were all ok, I had a bruise on my knee but that was the worst of it. For a solid 24hrs we had this leak... and yes it was because of whatever they did to the sink. They took everything apart and just LEFT without coming back for a whole week.
They eventually did come back and put a new slab on this time it didn't break. They once again left with our kitchen completely a mess the stove wasn't put back, the dishwasher was not installed properly so it's now loose, they never added support under the granite even after adding another couple inches out... they didn't even seal a whole side (pictures). My husband called the manager and he said he would come out and take a look. He came out to the house days later saw it all and agreed with everything that we said. From them not picking up our kitchen or putting anything back to leaving the new slab unsupported... we also noticed a CRACK already day ONE of install, which he promised to buff out. He said he was going to come back and fix all of it for us himself.
It's been six weeks and nobody has come ... nobody has called.... We have been left high and dry on this project. We now have to fix thins ourself somehow. Like I said I don't normally write a bad review but this was REALLY bad customer service....

I went to Granite City, Largo, three times trying to find a quartz remnant to be a counter top for a new 60 inch vanity in my master bathroom that I was having renovated. I didn't have a good feeling about Granite City from the beginning because their selection was so limited. I couldn't find anything that fit my taste. But my contractor kept urging me to go back there since he said he said he uses them frequently and their prices are better than Stoneworks. He told me I could save $500 by going with Granite City. So I kept going back every 2 weeks to check their inventory. Still nothing was there that I would pay money for. Finally on my 3rd trip I found the piece I wanted. I was so excited and I paid the money to Mitchell, the salesman. The installers came to install it today. It was a rush job, since they were supposed to be here at 9:00 a.m. and they arrived at almost 11:00. I had previously explained that I had an appointment and had to leave. I had already rescheduled this to the next day, but apparently the office doesn't communicate with their installers in the field. I told the installer I had to leave, but he insisted that it would only take 5 minutes to install. So I let them in. I immediately noticed that the counter top they brought in was NOT the one I had chosen. It is totally bland and does not have the marble-like markings that the one I had selected (and paid for) had. I immediately called Granite City about it, but Mitchell insisted that I was wrong and that what they were installing was what I had chosen. So after my appointment today, I drove back to Granite City and spoke directly in person to Mitchell. He continued to insist that what they installed was what I had chosen. IT WAS NOT!!! But he refused to do anything to make it right. I was so angry I had to walk away. I'm now stuck with a counter top that I hate. My only recourse was to write this review so that future potential buyers can beware of Granite City.

Buyers beware. Get multiple estimates. We had used granite city for our kitchen remodel and how we regret it so much. When they sent out someone to do a template it had to be reschedule 3 times and when he finally did arrive he was 4 hours late from the scheduled time. Few weeks went by and the installers finally came and they were very unprofessional and sloppy. They had to take out existing window sill to put on the granite for the kitchen window and ended up damaging the kitchen cabinets in the process. They did not caulk the cracks where the granite and the kitchen walls touched. Not to mention their are cracks in the granite.

I needed my granite repaired and spoke with Don who told me that they can and will do the repair. Scheduled the day, waited all day for someone to arrive. When no one showed up I had called to check on their status and was told that they were not going to come to my house and that they don't do repairs. The communication and empty promises within this business are ridiculous!

Does Granite City of Florida offer cutouts for sinks, cooktops, or other elements?
Yes, like most professional contractors in the market, Granite City of Florida performs cutouts and countertop preparation for various components — both standard and modern. According to our findings, these services are typically included in the overall project estimate. The standard scope usually covers cutouts for sinks (undermount, drop-in, or farmhouse) and holes for faucets or other plumbing fixtures. Additional cutouts — such as for cooktops, hidden or pop-up outlets, built-in wireless chargers, or other accessories — are discussed individually at the project planning and estimating stage.
It’s important to note that while the cutouts and countertop preparation are usually performed by the company, the installation of electrical and plumbing fixtures (such as faucets, outlets, or appliances) may not be included in their scope of work and could require licensed professionals. We recommend clarifying this point when placing your order.
To avoid misunderstandings, ask for a detailed estimate with a breakdown of all services: cutout pricing, installation, and any add-on options. This will ensure project transparency and help you clearly understand what you're paying for.
What guarantees does Granite City of Florida provide for its work?
According to our information and industry practice, Granite City of Florida, like most participants in the ranking, provides a workmanship warranty valid for 1 year from the date of countertop installation. This period is usually specified in the contract. We do not rule out that the company may have extended warranty terms (2 years or more), however, during our research, we did not receive confirmed data from the contractor regarding the duration and scope of its warranty.
The contractor’s warranty covers defects in fabrication and installation, such as uneven or separating seams, leveling and fastening issues, detachment or sagging of an undermount sink, flaws in edge finishing and cutouts, premature failure of seam materials, and cutouts that do not match the approved design. Warranty coverage does not include damage from use (thermal shock/burn marks from hot cookware, chips or cracks caused by impacts), stains and acid etching (for marble), wear due to insufficient maintenance or lack of sealing, natural characteristics of stone (veins, micro-pores, variations in shade/pattern within tolerances), shifts caused by base deformation, or any modifications performed by third parties.
The material warranty is provided by the manufacturer or the official stone supplier. Engineered quartz brands often offer a limited “lifetime” warranty for residential properties (subject to registration and compliance with care guidelines). For sintered surfaces, typical warranty periods range from 10 to 25 years. Natural stone usually does not come with a factory warranty — its quality of fabrication and installation is covered by the contractor’s warranty. The term and scope of the warranty depend on the project and materials — contact Granite City of Florida in any convenient way on this page to get the current terms.
