I reached out to Geos Marble and Granite with a very specific idea in mind for my kitchen. I worked with Elizabeth in the warehouse and she patiently showed me all of the slabs I thought I wanted. She was educated in the care and process of all the different materials. Then, I passed a slab that was totally different than what I was looking for and FELL IN LOVE. I told them I wanted this not only on my counters but on the back splash as well. Omar and his team drove all the way to the coast to measure my counters and back splash and within a week my counters were in. They were courteous and precise with the removal of my old counters and install of the new. I 10/10 recommend Geos. Let the pics speak for themselves! Thank you Elizabeth and Omar!

This review is way over due... Geo is more than 5 stars.
I was looking for someone to install high end bathroom slabs.... from the minute I called Geo he was unbelievably helpful he came to look at the area with in a day ... sent me to an amazing slab yard where he helped me pick out wonderful pieces and helped me get a great price on them. He then cut the slabs with wonderful detail and installed them with his team all in a very short period of time.
Geo is professional, helpful, kind, honest, well priced and good for his word. You will be very happy if you work with him. I can't recommend him more. If you ever want to talk to me about his work it would be my pleasure. Have Geo give me your number and I will call you.

We got a beautiful quartz top for our new bathroom vanity at a fraction of the cost that Mogastone was going to charge. Elizabeth helped us pick out the stone and it only took a few minutes. There was a problem during installation when the placement of the sinks were incorrectly cut. Our general contractor contacted Elizabeth and her response was “that doesn’t look right” and exchanged the vanity top at no charge to us. She was terrific. You don’t often encounter customer service like that. The bathroom is beautiful. We recommend Geo’s.

My name is Doug and I am a general contractor. I have worked with geos for 15 years and when the new owner Ross bought it he carried on the tradition of Geo in a great way. I count on these guys to make my new countertops perfectly and install them in a timely fashion which really helps in my business. I will never use anyone else no matter what the pitch may be I'm stuck with Ross and Elizabeth. I'm happy that I am

We requested a quote from Geo's Granite, and the owner, George, came to our home to measure and show us photos of the granite. His prices were better than those of the big box stores and other local companies, the plumbing cost was lower, and the faucet and sink were of better quality than we would have gotten elsewhere. The counters were installed carefully and look beautiful.
What really puts the icing on the cake was the customer service. Because we lack common sense, we got an oil stain on the new granite counters less than a week after they were installed. I emailed George to ask for advice, and he offered to come to our home and take care of it himself.
I strongly recommend Geo's Granite.

I love my new granite counters!!! From the day I first contacted George until the counters were installed was less than 2 weeks. He was easy to work with, courteous, and professional. He was flexible to change the date as coordinating with plumber was tricky. And the product looks even better in my kitchen than at the showroom!! I'm very happy.

We ordered river white granite with Elizabeth. She was very friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. We chose Geo's because the price was the lowest quote and turnaround time was going to be quicker than competitors. Ross came out and measured. About a week later, the installers came in and were friendly. They spent several hours on the install. We contacted Ross a couple weeks later because the light granite seemed too porous. Ross gladly came back and resealed the counters. They look gorgeous and the second coat did the trick. Overall, great experience.

The installation and product quality of our bathroom countertop from Geo’s deserves 5 stars. Unfortunately, the customer service deserves zero. In addition to being slow to return phone calls and emails, and our countertop arriving to be installed with literally 15 minutes notice, ineffective customer service led us to believe we were choosing one of two finishes for a product that in actuality doesn’t exist. What should have been communicated as “there is a range of variety in how the finished product will look” was instead described to me on more than one occasion as “you can pick between A and B.” Miscommunications certainly happen, and this seems to be the result of an inadequately educated employee who I learned is no longer employed by the company. When I called to express frustrations and figure out what had happened, the response I received was completely lacking in any sort of understanding, or genuine apology and instead contained a list of reasons why things are hard on their end. Very sour end to what had been an otherwise positive experience, and thankfully the end product is of expected quality, but I would not work with them again.

We upgraded our kitchen along with restoring after a water damage event. We were extremely pleased with our experience with Geo and his company. He was patient with us and the great advantage was actually being able to pick out and see the exact piece of granite we wanted. He and the installers were on time for the appointments and were truly professional. We love our new granite countertops and would highly recommend the company.

We were looking for a provider for solid surface countertops. We weren't sure what we wanted. Elizabeth helped us through the process.
The material we selected was quartz. It turned out beautiful and the crew was diligent in the installation. The guy who came to measure was thorough and explained what to expect so we knew where to expect cuts.
The fit is great. We followed up by taking care of the backsplash on our own. this finished up our kitchen remodel. We built an island, painted cabinets and the walls. The place is almost new looking.
Great job, timely delivery, and competitive pricing. We would use them again, if the occasion arose.
For some reason, Yelp is listing Surfside Beach, SC. We are in Elm City, NC

Ever since we moved into our new house, every person that comes in comments on how beautiful the kitchen counter is. I'm in love!
The sales woman was great. She was so patient with my husbands 1000 questions and gave us all the prices for all the different options we picked out.
We did run into some issues when it came to the installation process. But I contacted the owner and he did make sure that all of the issues were addressed and corrected.
I would def recommend them.

Geo's was a great experience. George held to his original appointment, came and took measurements on a Friday, provided fair pricing (I received multiple quotes) and his crew had the granite counters installed the following Friday. His crew was first class. Over all, a great experience. I've already recommended Geo's to friends.

Some trouble spots, but okay in the end.
As a direct importer of granite, Geo's eliminates sales showroom "middleman" expenses and saves you money; your experience is more like going to a warehouse than to a sales showroom.
The initial sales/shopping experience went fairly well; but later it was a mix of good service and serious lapses- forgetting to add sales tax on the original price estimate, forgetting to take away the old sink and leaving it by my front door, leaving ugly hash marks on the wall after install.
The template person initially was hard to deal with; later he improved.
Geo's only offered a one year granite sealer; you may wish to request no sealer and separately subcontracting a "next generation" 15 year sealer.
In the end, though, the price was reasonable, the granite good quality and they accommodated our request for early install; they later did right by the wall damage.
If you are willing to spend the time being closely involved in the details of the process, I recommend giving them a try.

While this company has lots of 5 star reviews, some of the info listed by others is not correct. We had someone come out to measure for our install - they didn't do a template. When we called we were told that they would come out and re-measure and "wouldn't charge us" but that normally there is a charge. Our expectation is that if it is the company's mistake - there shouldn't even be a conversation about additional charges.
We had countertops installed and when they left we noticed that a few of the pieces were cut incorrectly. The installers left it like that with tip in hand and didn't say anything or try to fix it before they left. When we called Geo's, they came out 2 days later to look at it and realized that they needed to replace 2 pieces and re-set 1. There were a lot of inconsistencies in the cuts (some rounded corners and some square and measurements off by 1 1/4 inches). These mistakes were visible to anyone who came in to our house - even me who doesn't know about stone installation could see they were not right.
We finally were given a new install date of 1 1/2 weeks from the original install because their fabricator (Geo's is a supplier not a fabricator - they send it out) had some issues. The appointment was set for a Friday from 10-12 and at 10:30 that morning we received a call asking when we would like to schedule our install next week. WHAT??? They were supposed to be coming that day.
The stone is beautiful but the process of communicating and getting this job done right has been trying. We feel like we are not that million dollar customer so we are on the back burner.
We researched places to get our stone and selected this company because of the 5 star reviews. Don't be fooled - the communication is challenging and we have to leave many messages and texts for us to find out when they will be coming (vs them being pro-active). That is not how I like to do business. As of this review - we are still waiting for a new NEW date to have our fixed countertops installed and meanwhile without a kitchen sink while we just wait for Geo's to figure it out.

I have been trying to get Geo to come back to my house and repair the scratches on my stove for ONE YEAR at this point. The staff at Geo is definitely lacking in communication skills. My porcelain countertop cracked where they should have put in a seam and it is under warranty and they still have not come out to replace it. I would not recommend Geo to anyone.

We had a horrible experience with Geos. I would not use them for your kitchen countertops or solid surface backsplash.
We had a contract for a solid surface backsplash and when the installer arrived he was using 2 small pieces behind our stove? The seam was going horizontal and not at all what we agreed on! The owner proceeded to tell me that was common practice and in the mean time his wife was texting me that that was not acceptable and Ross (her husband and owner of the company) has a solid surface backsplash and it does not have a horizontal seam half way up! After many terrible conversations (where the owner spoke extremely nasty to me multiple times - once on speaker for my builder and his team to hear) they came back with a solid surface as we had contracted for.
The owner came to measure- he did not use a laser to measure. I later learned from my builder that a laser is used to measure in this field of expertise. Our solid surface backsplash is all over the place- it was cut too short in 3/4 of the kitchen and then at an angle under our hood- the installer used white glue to try and hide this (now we have globe of white glue everywhere!) It is a HUGE mess! We have been left with a mess and would advise you to not use Geo's.

Unfortunately, in the course of our mystery shopper research, we were unable to obtain information about the quote preparation time from Geo's Marble & Granite in Raleigh, NC. Our analyst may not have been able to reach a company representative, or the quote was never provided after initial contact. As a result, we are unable to objectively evaluate the company’s quote turnaround speed. This situation is rare and usually related to temporary workload or internal processing specifics. It does not necessarily indicate a low level of service — it simply means that we didn’t receive a response within the research timeframe.
To get up-to-date information, we recommend contacting the company directly through our website — submit a request, call, or message them to receive a personalized quote and clarify current pricing.
Does Geo's Marble & Granite offer cutouts for sinks, cooktops, or other elements?
Yes, like most professional contractors in the market, Geo's Marble & Granite performs cutouts and countertop preparation for various components — both standard and modern. According to our findings, these services are typically included in the overall project estimate. The standard scope usually covers cutouts for sinks (undermount, drop-in, or farmhouse) and holes for faucets or other plumbing fixtures. Additional cutouts — such as for cooktops, hidden or pop-up outlets, built-in wireless chargers, or other accessories — are discussed individually at the project planning and estimating stage.
It’s important to note that while the cutouts and countertop preparation are usually performed by the company, the installation of electrical and plumbing fixtures (such as faucets, outlets, or appliances) may not be included in their scope of work and could require licensed professionals. We recommend clarifying this point when placing your order.
To avoid misunderstandings, ask for a detailed estimate with a breakdown of all services: cutout pricing, installation, and any add-on options. This will ensure project transparency and help you clearly understand what you're paying for.
What guarantees does Geo's Marble & Granite provide for its work?
According to our information and industry practice, Geo's Marble & Granite, like most participants in the ranking, provides a workmanship warranty valid for 1 year from the date of countertop installation. This period is usually specified in the contract. We do not rule out that the company may have extended warranty terms (2 years or more), however, during our research, we did not receive confirmed data from the contractor regarding the duration and scope of its warranty.
The contractor’s warranty covers defects in fabrication and installation, such as uneven or separating seams, leveling and fastening issues, detachment or sagging of an undermount sink, flaws in edge finishing and cutouts, premature failure of seam materials, and cutouts that do not match the approved design. Warranty coverage does not include damage from use (thermal shock/burn marks from hot cookware, chips or cracks caused by impacts), stains and acid etching (for marble), wear due to insufficient maintenance or lack of sealing, natural characteristics of stone (veins, micro-pores, variations in shade/pattern within tolerances), shifts caused by base deformation, or any modifications performed by third parties.
The material warranty is provided by the manufacturer or the official stone supplier. Engineered quartz brands often offer a limited “lifetime” warranty for residential properties (subject to registration and compliance with care guidelines). For sintered surfaces, typical warranty periods range from 10 to 25 years. Natural stone usually does not come with a factory warranty — its quality of fabrication and installation is covered by the contractor’s warranty. The term and scope of the warranty depend on the project and materials — contact Geo's Marble & Granite in any convenient way on this page to get the current terms.
