Exceptional Service at Fordham Marble
I recently had the pleasure of working with the team at Fordham Marble for a couple renovation projects, and I must say that my experience was outstanding. From the initial consultation with Mayson and Jacqualyn to the final installations by Elias, Fordham Marble demonstrated a level of craftsmanship and customer service that exceeded my expectations.
Visiting their showroom is delightful, a fantastic selection of marble and stone, and a vast array of tiling options carefully curated to cater to a variety of tastes and styles. The knowledgeable staff guided me through the selection process with patience and expertise, ensuring that I found the perfect match for my vision.
What sets Fordham Marble apart, however, is their commitment to customer satisfaction. The team was consistently communicative, keeping me informed at every stage of the project. Any concerns or questions I had were addressed promptly, ensuring a smooth and stress-free experience for their clients.
Renovation projects are really quite challenging, beyond the design aspects you need to manage logistics and timing of each material needed along the way… tile, heating, plumbing, toilet, vanity, countertop, sinks, faucets, cabinet handles, appliances… the list goes on, and Mayson and Mario were there to help at every step of the way to guide my procurement of items outside of their focus.
I fully recommend Fordham Marble. They earned my trust and will be essential in my next project. If you're in search of top-tier marble and stone products, coupled with a seamless and enjoyable customer experience, look no further than Fordham Marble.

Being a realtor for 25 years, I can honestly say the customer service at Fordham was top notch and I would strongly recommend them to anyone. We worked with Fordham Marble on a remodel of our kitchen and 4 bathrooms. Mayson was amazing at working with us to understand our design style and what we were trying to accomplish to create a wholistic look for our home. He made sure the tile installer had detailed specs on how the tile should be laid out for the install to avoid any miscommunication. We were very happy with our experience and wouldn't hesitate to recommend Fordham based on quality, selection, service and value for money. Also Lou the installer for the countertop in our kitchen is a master!!!

Choosing a company to supply and fabricate your counters is not easy. If you have ever dealt with home renovations, you are aware that some companies are stellar when it comes to quality, product and service, and other companies make your life excruciatingly stressful, delivering a costly yet sub-par product which you will just have to live with.
Working with Fordham Marble was like going to the spa after dealing with the majority of other stone suppliers and fabricators (and contractors). While price competitive, time conscious and quick to turn your dreams into reality, the Fordham Marble team does not rush through any job. They have decades of experience and it is clear they have a vested interest in giving you the best possible product and making sure you are happy once the job is complete.
We chose Fordham Marble to fabricate our calacatta marble counter tops after meeting with and getting pricing from four other stone fabricators. We went with Fordham Marble because they are honest, and suggested design details like hand squared corners (most fabricators round the corners—and didn't give these options in the conversations that might have led up to putting money down) for our job.
Mayson (sales & design) and the skilled stone fabricators in the Fordham Marble factory are extremely detail oriented and treat each customer's job as though it is the most important one they have going. They listened and were responsive to all of my questions and concerns about the process, and delivered a beautiful finished product (When dealing with natural stone which always has imperfections, fissures, and unevenly distributed veining this is no easy task). Each member of the Fordham team is an expert at what they do in the design, layout, fabrication and installation process.
Demitri came and perfectly measured my cabinets and around my sinks. He gave me options about the amount the counter would overhang the cabinets, whether or not to have the inside lip of the glazed cast iron sink exposed (more old fashioned)or have the counter overhang the sink edge slightly (more contemporary). Next was approving the layout of where the slabs would be joined and the direction of the veining. We were given the option of doing this online or going to the factory to see in person—we went to the factory to work through the layout with Lou in person and approve. Seams were beautifully matched :they were able to finish the back of one part of the slabs to match the veins up with the front of one of the other slabs for a completely camouflaged seam. You just don't get this kind of amazing workmanship from other places—I can tell the Fordham sales team, designers, technicians, stone fabrication specialists and installers really cared about getting it right for my kitchen.
Throughout the process they were very responsive to any concerns or questions I had even after the counters were installed and we had paid in full. I noticed after the installers had gone that one of the joints was rough and a bit uneven—within a day or two one of the stone fabricating specialists was at my door, smoothed and rehoned the seam, and you cannot feel or see that seam. And Fordham was happy to fix that small spot because they genuinely care and take pride in what they do. I highly recommend working with Fordham Marble because they deliver a level of expertise and commitment to a high quality product that is tough to come by in the stone supply and fabrication industry.

My countertops are amazing! The quartzite is beautiful. Fordham marble was very professional and helpful. The beautiful showroom has the most wonderful displays. Joyce, who helped me was so kind and patient. All the people involved-Dimitri who did the templates, the foreman who cut the stone-and did it so seamlessly, Elias and Robert who did the installation--all did an excellent job and were pleasant to work with. I am very pleased with my experience working withFordham Marble and the excellent outcome.

Fordham Marble in Stamford, CT exceeded our expectations. We recently renovated a large kitchen and used Fordham for counters and tile. Joyce Sardo was amazing. She listened to our needs and asked questions to get a sense of our “style”. She worked with us from start to finish.
The end result was nothing short of spectacular. She provided not only advice on design but effectively served as a general contractor. Her recommendations for installers and the hands-on attention she gave to our project helped ensure it was done by our deadline. The installers she recommended were top notch as well, professional and high quality work. No matter the size of your project Fordham can help.
I highly recommend Fordham Marble and we will be using them again for our bath remodels.

Sandra and the entire team were exceptional! We purchased all our material for a renovation and they were the most patient, helpful, transparent, honest (and not pushy!) people we’ve ever worked with. You are helped along the way, but also given space to make your decisions without pressure. Most places either want you to buy something right away or they stop helping you, or they aren’t very helpful from the beginning. Fordham stayed engaged, gave us video calls from the warehouse to see materials, let us take materials to other showrooms to compare with other products we had purchased, and stayed patient the whole time. We truly won’t go anywhere else in the future. Lastly, their delivery was so easy, and staff very kind and friendly. They stacked it nicely where I asked, and all with a smile. Truly a pleasure to work with Fordham. Thanks Fordham team.

Fantastic showroom, well lit and organized. The staff was very nice and knowledgeable of their products. We worked with Sandra, who was able to pick up on the vibe we were going for for our shower and made fantastic stylistic suggestions. After we made our purchase, paperwork and delivery was quick and easy! Would definitely recommend this company to others and will be using them for our other bathroom renovations.

After much research regarding the type of natural stone we wanted for our kitchen and the importance of fabrication, we decided to visit Fordham Marble. Mayson, immediately greeted us with much enthusiasm and attention. We were specifically interested in Taj Mahal quartzite. Within less than an hour, we decided to contract with Fordham Marble. We look forward to picking out our slab as the project moves along. We anticipate that Fordham will perform a wonderful job precision cutting the slab, installing it and spending time with us to select the slab perfect for us. We look forward to our continuing relationship with Mayson and crew! Many thanks, Joan and Brent.

Disaster. They had several issues with product and pricing, then became simply rude and unprofessional. If anything goes wrong they accuse you or wrong doing. They offer big price discounts when asked which get them to a fair price.
There are a lot of good places to work with, my experience with this crew is buyer beware and as long as there are no issues you are fine. If anything goes wrong the owner is rude and unprofessional. When done with this crew you will need to take a shower, stay away.

We chose this company because they had beautiful stone for our kitchen at a really great price. We decided to do a quartzite countertop because, as we were told, it would be very low maintenance and sturdy. We took a sample of the stone, tried to etch it, did an acid test, and even had it independently confirmed that it was indeed quartzite(sometimes stone sold as quartzite is not actually quartzite, so this was important). Our entire kitchen look was based around the look of the quartzite we selected from Fordham.
After we selected our stone and put a deposit to hold our 2 slabs of stone, our original salesperson left the company. This was not a huge deal, but we only found out when we reached out to ask a few questions. We moved forward and everything went well with the installation. That's when the issues began.
At first we noticed staining on the stone itself. We were very confused, because the first stains were not in areas of our island we had even used yet. Then the area of the stone right around the stove became covered with grease stains from normal cooking. We contacted Fordham and they told us it needed a different sealant, something that was not offered before the stone was installed. They sent someone out to look at the stone, he put some stuff on a couple of the "larger" problem areas, which was supposed to remove the stains. Not only did it not work, it actually made the staining worse.
Since they came to "fix" the problem, they have not responded to any of our emails. We were able to get them on the phone once, and we were told they were sending someone out that week; that was 6 weeks ago. At this point, we will likely have to hire another company to try to fix the issue, if it's even solvable. This is extremely disappointing, especially considering this stone is the anchor point of our kitchen. Something obviously went wrong, and they have been unwilling to fix it.

FORDHAM MARBLE- STAY AWAY- RIP OFF and RUDE
Fordham Marble was awful. Their customer service is an embarrassment. I have done several kitchens in the city and country and have never had this nasty service and complete rip off.
I have never had problems with Masonry companies with any of my many renovations until I met Fordham Marble. The attitude comes down from the owners. Initially, I was introduced to them by our cabinet company, which is a very high end European established cabinet company. However, when all the chips and holes started appearing I contacted our kitchen company who told us they NO LONGER were using Fordham, they explained that Joyce and her husband were rude to their customers and that every time something was wrong or had a question they got defensive and rude and would not stand behind their work. Unfortunately, when I contacted Fordham to come and look ( by the way this was an expensive job we did in our city apartment) they got nasty and defensive and said that it was not a new job. As if that's an excuse for marble to develop holes. I explained that the black holes should not be happening, we have sealed and resealed the marble several times a year and am extremely careful in our handling of the stone. Joyce was nasty and accusatory from the get go. Its now been a year of me calling and emailing to get them to come and take a look and see what can be done. Joyce is either "not in her office" or "in the showroom" but I never get a call back and its been a year. SHAMEFUL....
Stay away from FORDHAM MARBLE they were a rip off and nasty. There are many good stone companies but FORDHAM MARBLE is NOT one of them.

Stopped in and spoke to Mayson the owner. He showed me some slabs and told me he would give me contractor pricing which is a substantial $30-40 discount. Told me to come in the next day with my layout and wife to select a slab. Dealt with his sales lady Wendy the next day who was informed about the contractor pricing. She was nice but pricing came back at $105 /sq foot for the least expensive stone on the lot. I ended up getting the exact same marble from a place in Norwalk for $52. What a waste of my time. Full price would have been $145 sq foot, again for the least expensive stone on the entire lot.

Does Fordham Marble offer cutouts for sinks, cooktops, or other elements?
Yes, like most professional contractors in the market, Fordham Marble performs cutouts and countertop preparation for various components — both standard and modern. According to our findings, these services are typically included in the overall project estimate. The standard scope usually covers cutouts for sinks (undermount, drop-in, or farmhouse) and holes for faucets or other plumbing fixtures. Additional cutouts — such as for cooktops, hidden or pop-up outlets, built-in wireless chargers, or other accessories — are discussed individually at the project planning and estimating stage.
It’s important to note that while the cutouts and countertop preparation are usually performed by the company, the installation of electrical and plumbing fixtures (such as faucets, outlets, or appliances) may not be included in their scope of work and could require licensed professionals. We recommend clarifying this point when placing your order.
To avoid misunderstandings, ask for a detailed estimate with a breakdown of all services: cutout pricing, installation, and any add-on options. This will ensure project transparency and help you clearly understand what you're paying for.
What guarantees does Fordham Marble provide for its work?
According to our information and industry practice, Fordham Marble, like most participants in the ranking, provides a workmanship warranty valid for 1 year from the date of countertop installation. This period is usually specified in the contract. We do not rule out that the company may have extended warranty terms (2 years or more), however, during our research, we did not receive confirmed data from the contractor regarding the duration and scope of its warranty.
The contractor’s warranty covers defects in fabrication and installation, such as uneven or separating seams, leveling and fastening issues, detachment or sagging of an undermount sink, flaws in edge finishing and cutouts, premature failure of seam materials, and cutouts that do not match the approved design. Warranty coverage does not include damage from use (thermal shock/burn marks from hot cookware, chips or cracks caused by impacts), stains and acid etching (for marble), wear due to insufficient maintenance or lack of sealing, natural characteristics of stone (veins, micro-pores, variations in shade/pattern within tolerances), shifts caused by base deformation, or any modifications performed by third parties.
The material warranty is provided by the manufacturer or the official stone supplier. Engineered quartz brands often offer a limited “lifetime” warranty for residential properties (subject to registration and compliance with care guidelines). For sintered surfaces, typical warranty periods range from 10 to 25 years. Natural stone usually does not come with a factory warranty — its quality of fabrication and installation is covered by the contractor’s warranty. The term and scope of the warranty depend on the project and materials — contact Fordham Marble in any convenient way on this page to get the current terms.
