I had new kitchen counters installed along with a few appliances, and the kitchen is absolutely beautiful. I am beyond pleased with how it turned out. The crews and contractors did excellent work. Beth was an immense help with the design process. She was very patient while I wavered on decisions and she had excellent suggestions. That experience alone is what caused me to choose DR Design & Review over the other companies I talked to. Kudos to the team!

Wow!! I am super impressed with this company! My husband and I visited their showroom in Elk Grove to get ideas for our kitchen remodel. Javier & Beth were extremely friendly, helpful & knowledgeable! They spent time showing us different samples and helped us pick everything out. It was great to have both of them helping us. Javier was able to thoroughly explain everything to my husband in Spanish, which he really appreciated as he speaks very little English. The design Beth presented us with was AMAZING! The finished product is even better! We could not be happier with our new kitchen and the quality of customer service we received!! Thank you Javier & Beth & Thank you DR Design & Remodel. Our kitchen remodel encountered many issues. It started off good and took a turn for the worst due to multiple manufacturing issues with a product. This caused substantial delays in getting our kitchen completed, along with much frustration. IN STEPPED JAVI, TURNING A NEGATIVE INTO A POSITIVE. Javi's leadership, communication, dedication and attention to detail truly impressed us, gaining our diminishing trust back. Besides the manufacturing issues, working with Javi, Rodney, Nicole and all of the subcontractors was top notch. Lisa, Dave, the George's, Adam, Roman, Ratko and Kenny. The professionalism and dedication displayed by all throughout the completion of this project went above and beyond. If an issue came up, Javi was quick to communicate with the crew and to us, and the issue was resolved. Javi's 24/7 communication style is awesome! Also, Rodney's professionalism, personable demeanor and his ability to handle any issue throughout the project was impressive. Rodney, you can do anything! Javi, when we first met I told you, don't talk about it, be about it. You have proven you are truly a man of your word & keep your promises. Thank you Javi and DR Design for delivering the kitchen we were promised. My family now has a beautiful kitchen we love and will enjoy for many years to come.

DR designs staff was professional and easy to work with. We came across a lot of hurdles and DR was quick to communicate with us as well as with our concerns and questions. Michelle was awesome to work with and took our concerns and expedited any work that needed to be completed. Jason (subcontractor) was excellent!! The attention to detail and perfection was appreciated!! After being out of the house for 7 months we quickly started to unpack which I didn’t take pictures when it was completely finished… 😬 We would use them again for any future remodels!

My wife and I went on a "journey" with Robert and his team at DR Design & Remodel. Initially, we had a bigger project in mind, but ultimately things changed and Robert, Nicole and the rest of the team pivoted without blinking. We decided to upgrade the bathroom for my in-laws and from beginning to end, DR Design & Remodel exceeded our expectations and followed through on everything, no detail was too small. The crew who worked on the bathroom was extremely professional and meticulous in their work product. To say that we are pleased with the end result would be a gross understatement! This is a long-overdue rave for the work done by this company on our kitchen remodel. The experience with Rob and Heather and the entire crew at DR Design & Remodel (at the time they were "Floor to Ceiling") was terrific. They were patient with remodeling newbies, and helped us re-imagine our kitchen and come within our budget. The crews doing the various work were professional, fast and courteous, and they were very good about making sure the work site was clean when the job was finished. My only regret is that I was not attentive enough to post this review sooner.

From the start of my process, they made things simple. I had the flooring replaced in a newly purchased house. Due to Covid, nothing went quite to plan. The team was extremely flexible and helpful for all the changes that came up on my end. They listened to what I wanted and needed and had helpful suggestions to make everyone happy. DRDesign was great to work with! I had them design my daughter's ADA bathroom. They were there to help me choose every detail including tile, faucets, lighting, rails. They remodeled a beautiful no barrier walk in shower for my daughter who is in a wheelchair. The color scheme as well as everything cane out fantastic! We were very pleased. Working with Robert was great and he was very responsive and always kept in contact with me for every step of the process!

Amazing! We absolutely love our remodeled bathroom. Robert, Nicole and his team were incredible. From the planning stage through completion of the project it was pretty painless as far as remodels go. I have to commend Robert on his team of craftsman. They were all professional, on time, and very skilled at what they do. I can't say enough about his tile team. What was also a pleasant surprise, Robert set a 6 week completion date and sure enough it was completed on time. If you are looking to take on a large project you should really consider DR Design and Remodel. I highly recommend them.

Rob and Heather helped us through a large remodel of our kitchen and bathroom areas. Heather went above and beyond in her design concepts for our space and Rob addressed all aspects of our project with professionalism and clarity. Jorge and team are expert craftsmen with tile work. We couldn't be happier with the results. Construction is not fun but DR Design made it a smooth process. They won't be your cheapest bid, but they will undoubtably be the most proficient team in the Elk Grove and Sacramento area. The inspector even vouched for their expertise while doing his inspection. His very words were "I always know there will be no problems with their work." They stayed under scheduled and on budget. Thank you Rob and team.

We hired DR to do our kitchen countertops and bathroom remodel in 2017. The entire process was made much easier with the excellent communication provided by the entire team, from Rob to the project managers. The project was very well organized and the workers managed to stay right on the timetable. which made me very happy as this project was large and disrupted the house greatly. Any glitches and problems in the process were just routine problems that come up in construction projects. The team worked quickly and did an excellent job at cleaning up messes. I would definitely hire DR for additional home renovation projects.

I absolutely love their options they have available at this shop. They have a few different cabinet lines available to choose from which makes it nice if you want a higher end style in your kitchen, but a less expensive one in your kids bathroom. Heather and Nicole are absolutely amazing designers. Heather designed all of my spaces and I would hire her to design my entire house if could. They have anything and everything you need to complete your kitchen and bathroom remodels and will recommend vendors for anything they can. I had a great experience with this team and would recommend them to anyone!

We wanted to upgrade our tiny laundry room. It really only fits the washer and dryer but we had some ideas. Heather and Rob were extremely helpful with the design and helping us select products that were beautiful and cost effective. When the time came to start the project, it went off without a hitch. All the work was professionally done and in a timely manner. We only had one issue and Rob addressed it promptly and professionally. We stacked the washer and dryer and that gave us room to put in a laundry sink! I love it. It's so clean and efficient that I almost don't mind doing laundry. Now, if I could just get someone to fold it.

The achilles heal of every remodel contractor that I have worked with is in the design, and although I feel like DR Design could have spent a little more time with this on my bathroom remodel, they far exceeded my other interior remodels by other companies. They brought me into their showroom where they showed me a virtual design of my room and worked with me, showing me different options that were available to me and allowing me to tweet the design to my liking. They also have a fair amount of selection of plumbing fixtures, flooring, sinks, cabinets, etc. DR Design did a fairly good job quality wise, if I had to nitpick the tile floor and some of the grout was a little subpar in that the spacing on the grout isn't even and the floor tiles don't feel great under your feet. I did have a couple of small issues to which they came back and repaired without issue.

We got several quotes for our master bathroom remodel before choosing to go with DR Design & Remodel. These guys aren't the cheapest, but I really appreciated that they put time and effort into listening to our needs and wants and translating them into a 3D design (definitely better than the other quotes we got). Getting a quote is a process--first you visit their showroom, then you make an appointment for them to come out and see your home/take photos/design ($200 for the in-home design appointment), then you wait a few weeks for them to finish the design and go back to the showroom for design presentation. At the presentation, you are able to make changes before you sign a contract. Plus you're able to choose your products & colors while you're there, and get on the work schedule. The subcontractors they work with are all professional and I was impressed with the work they did--especially the tile guys! They grind their own tile edges, so it takes a while, but SO worth the extra time/cost. I appreciated that the subcontractors all cleaned up after themselves every day too. Very professional. We only had one concern with DR Design & Remodel: they didn't communicate the design to the subcontractors effectively, and I only had one representative from DR Design (besides the foreman, who I believe was one of the subcontractors) ever come out and see that things were going according to plan--and that was only once, during the first week. For instance, we chose to have mdf baseboards in our bathroom due to cost and matching the rest of our home. One day, we discovered the subcontractors had installed tile baseboards instead--something we had not paid for or requested. I contacted DR Design and they did not charge us for it, but I was disappointed because although it looks good in our bathroom, the transition to our master bedroom looks funky and doesn't match. We also discussed raising the shower slide bar for my 6'2" tall husband when we did the design presentation. The designer adjusted it in the plans and everything, but when the plumber installed it, he installed it too low. We ended up having him come back and move it, but now we are left with holes in our new tile that we will have to patch with a kit we bought. Overall, the end result is great--we love our bathroom, and I know that we couldn't have gotten a better company to do it! Just please work on communicating your designs more effectively!

Three stars is generous, and as I write this I'm leaning towards two stars. I'm a couple months late posting about my experience. Overall, everyone from Nicole on down was stellar, and a pleasure to work with, with two notable exceptions. Admittedly, my bathroom was in horrible condition. The latest development is that the caulking is failing at the base of the 'Best Bath.' -The lighting was supposed to be better than what I had. The new lighting is dimmer. -Change order not approved by me before whatever modifications were made to the medicine cabinet. Is that even legal? It HAD to be a way to make a couple hundred extra dollars on my project. -A refund for a nominal amount, for something I was overcharged for, was promised to me on the day the final work was completed. I did say no no no thats ok. I mean, I never say no to a refund. But I did, partly because it was an insignificant amount when paying tens of thousands of dollars. But mostly, I knew Robert would forget anyway. He was so insistent. My hunch was correct, he forgot. -The last screw for the robe hook was missing for weeks. Chris spent an hour, no exaggeration, trying to screw one screw in. He went to his car three times, and I had to call him back in each time to tell him it was still loose. Luckily, he hadn't left. -The countertop. All I'll say is the next time I'll pick out the slab, instead of looking at a small sample. - Caulking failure, described above. Should caulking fail in less than three months? I have a hallway bathroom, and a kitchen that are due to be gutted. I had hoped to continue a working relationship with DR Design. Time to look on YELP for a different contractor. **** I want to correct a statement from the business owner Debbie P... I received a change order in the app for the medicine cabinet modification. Alarmed, since I'm on-site, and available to speak to I went into the bathroom to talk to the installers, and they stated they had already modified the medicine cabinet. I then called Robert, not the other way around. Robert apologized for not speaking to me before the modification was made. No conversation took place beforehand and no signature. Surely, not legal, good thing I'm not litigious. Its also notable that only a few of the items I described in my review were addressed by the business owner, no mention of the refund. Are our projects audited internally?

I visited this company's showroom and was impressed with their friendliness. My husband and I were excited to schedule an appointment for a kitchen remodel consultation.This appointment was scheduled out for 3 weeks. Once the 3 weeks came I received a call from Robert to move my appointment time to 4:30 instead of 5:30 due to his personal schedule conflict, I agreed and rearranged my work schedule and my husband did the same. The next day 30mins before our appointment, Robert cancelled on me because as he said "he didn't realize I lived so far?" He apologized and promised to make it right and fit me in the following week. Well, I never heard from him again and I'm glad because I find this company very unprofessional and we were left highly disappointed. I wouldn't waste my time, they don't seem to value their customers.

I had a complete master bath remodel. Everything was gutted. Their bid was higher than the two others I received, but I liked that they were an Elk Grove business. While the workers, were efficient and professional, the owner charged me over $1100.00 for a "custom" mirror that was to match my custom vanity. Well, it didn't. When the worker went to put it up I immediately noticed it was several shades lighter then the vanity. He called Robert to let him know I was not happy with it. Robert told him to go ahead and hang it and he assured me he would either redo it or restain it. I have left several emails to no avail. I would NOT recommend this company based on the poor customer service. I would also recommend to hold final payment until you are completely satisfied with the product.

I ordered a back splash that cost me over 800.00$ I loved it, But it took over 2 weeks to ship and I was understanding about that but when I got it home it was the wrong one so I had to send the person I hired to install my backsplash away and now I had to wait another 3 weeks to get it installed. I looked it up on the vender site not only was it the wrong one it was also cheaper and less tiles in the box when I called the manager she made me feel like this mistake was my fault by saying "well you ordered it" I stated No I did not order this and pointed out the difference in price and quantity and asked if she noticed that the tile she ordered me was CHEAPER and her reply was no I didnt notice, not only was she rude through the whole conversation but she put blame on the girl who wrote the order down even though I was there and she walked her through the whole order. When I picked up my correct tile she was so rude and never once apologized and her customer service was beyond terrible, What bothers me the most is that she would have never informed me that the first order was cheaper and less tiles. I could have over looked the mistake of the wrong tile being ordered but stealing my money and the rude unapologetic attitude I cant over look.

I met Robert in January 2019 at the Home and Landscape show. After saying our hello's, I immediately asked if he does jobs based on size or budget of a customer. I didn't want to waste his time if he had a base cost to do a job. He said he takes all jobs. I met with his designer, got a nice rendering image and an estimate. When I reviewed the estimate, I emailed asking to remove a few items so to keep within my budget (they priced a remove/replace of my kitchen stove cabinets. After looking more closely at the cabinets, they still had some life in them so I asked to eliminate the remove/replace of the cabinets and a rather expensive sink.) I got a call the next day from Robert saying it's probably not a good idea to move forward with my job, said it would cost him more to fire up his truck and it wouldn't be worth working with me. Not a professional thing to say. Very disappointed that he turned around what he told me in January, that he takes smaller jobs. Make sure to ask a lot of questions and have a big check book if you use this company.

As a previous neighbor of theirs I figured I would at least give them a chance. I was in need of having Quartz counters installed. I stopped by their location and looked around at samples. Scheduled an in home visit. These last two points were the only positive part. After taking measurements the lady left to prepare an estimate. I can't believe the price I was quoted. I saw the price of $9,826 and about had a heart attack. If I had a massive custom kitchen I wouldn't be shocked. Our kitchen is tiny. We did add two small bathroom counters but the sq footage is tiny. I called around and had three other quotes. They were $3245, $3800, and $3600. Please explain how three other companies were basically 1/3rd of the price. As a business owner myself I hate giving bad reviews but I feel people should know to shop around in this case. My prices are typically higher but not by 300%. Mine average 20% more so it seems like they are price gouging. I've seen the managers response to other people and for that reason alone is what has taken this review from a 3 to a 1. Putting the blame back on the customer and being condescending just makes you look bad. If you see multiple bad reviews with bitchy responses coupled with over inflated prices I would personally avoid the establishment. Business owner to business owner, some education about customer service and rethinking pricing might save you. I hope you can appreciate some feedback from someone in the trades.

I called and made appointment at Showroom because wife and I were interested in getting a second estimate on master bedroom shower remodel. Before selecting a contractor or business, I like to get at least a couple of estimates. Nice salesperson at showroom. Made another appointment for Floor To Ceiling to come out to our home for an estimate. They came out and informed me I would have to pay $200.00 first before they could give me the estimate. They justified the payment by saying they would have to work on an itemized list of all the parts and labor costs and a computer drawing of how our shower would look like if they did the work. I believe the $200.00 payment was to lock us in with there company.
