I purchased a quartz countertop for my kitchen cottage up north. Detroit Stone & Tile wasn't able to do the install since it's 2 hours away. They loaded my van, strapped in the 2 peices, mixed up the epoxy for me & even loaned me the drill bit to drill for my faucet! Gave me all the pointers they could to ensure the install & the seam to come out perfect...and it did! Thank you!

I recently had my new quartz countertop installed by Detroit Stone & Tile and the install was done to perfection. I am impressed! I worked with Nick and Remus in the showroom who are very knowledgeable but did not do an aggressive sales pitch with me, which I so appreciated. They were great to work with and showed me many options and then gave me the best price in the area. I would definitely recommend this business.

We used Detroit Stone & Tile for a basement remodel. There had to be a seam in our large quartz counter because of the limitations of our home. I am very impressed with their work! You can barely see the seam! The process was very quick and all staff members were pleasant to work with. Very knowledgeable. I highly recommend them.

Detroit Stone did a full kitchen counter layout. From the moment we walked into the showroom we’ve felt like we were the most important customers they have… through every step - show room, measurement and final installation every team member has been fantastic. The stone cuts were perfect and everything completely surpassed our expectations. Truly wonderful experience.

WOW Incredible company! I asked them to create a project that would take at least 2 months and they completed it in 2 weeks! Detroit Tile and stone has a beautiful inventory and a very professional team that is the best in Michigan. Thank you so much Remus! and his team 10000x!

Have remodeled several kitchens and always use these folks for the counter tops. The most recent remod was done in sections. Detroit Stone & Tile held onto slabs for me despite months going by before I was ready for the next section to be topped. Their customer service is second to none. Maria & Simon are a joy to work with. Justin measures, makes very productive suggestions and is likely the most efficient human on Earth. Their pricing is great and the end results speak for themselves. No need to waste time shopping for stone or tile - just go here.

I shopped around a few places and Detroit Stone was the least expensive for the material I was looking for and with good reviews. Nick was helpful and quickly was able to give me a quote and answer any questions I had as well as explain the breakdown on the price (which other places some refused to do) They were able to install on Friday and measured Monday. Installation went well and took about 2 hours. I'm pleased with the result and would recommend to others.

Did a new bathroom in basement and upstairs and decided to update the kitchen at same time. Went and picked out a new granite countertop for kitchen and a new under mount sink. They came out and measured and installed quickly and it looks wonderful. Very happy we went with them. They also did sink and sills in bathroom would highly recommend them.

We had an excellent experience with Maria and the installation team at Detroit Stone & Tile. Maria provided us with great guidance when picking out the right product/color/pattern countertops for 3 bathrooms. And the installation was quick and very nicely done. We highly recommend this business.

I dont usually write reviews, but because of the amazing job Detroit Stone did to install our beautiful Ceasarstone countertops, I feel especially compelled to share it with the online world. Andrei was amazing, very nice, great to work with. Really, the whole team was great. Down to every detail, like in our laundry room, the installer noticed, without our pointing it out, that our tall cabinet door wouldnt open fully because of the laundry tub counter overhang next to the tall cabinet. They removed the counter without hesitation, rounded the corner of the countertop, made sure it still had the same shine as the rest of the top, and the door opened fully. One smaller but important example, on one occasion, I called the office but didn't leave a voicemail message. Someone called me back a few minutes later, because they saw my number on caller id! Thats customer service. All businesses should operate that way, but in my experience, they don't. We had a great experience with Detroit Stone, and highly recommend them to anyone! Thank you Detroit Stone!

We worked with Detroit stone a few months ago, when they came out to measure my kitchen, the guy was there on time, he was very helpful and friendly. I had to call a couple times to change a few things and they were very accommodating . When they installed the counter they did a really nice job and cleaned up after, and I couldn't ask for a nicer guy . People we know recommended this company to us and I'm not sorry we chose to do business with Detroit stone I have recommended them to other people.

I wasn't going to write this review because I know a bad review can really have an impact on business, but after reading the other reviews I just wanted anyone who was considering this place of business that they have other options. We went into Detroit Stone and we were very interested buyers. We were treated great by Alex that day. We found a granite we liked and they gave us a great price. We told them we could give them a deposit as we were still working on getting in our new cabinets and one cabinet was being shipped, but they told us to wait until they measured the kitchen. After about a month I called them and asked if they wanted a deposit to hold our granite. They still told me not to worry about it and that they would get the deposit at the measuring. After getting our cabinets completed, we called them and no one answered (during work hours) So we left a message. Two days later with no response back, we left another message. Still no response back. Finally after trying many times, they answered their phone. We then told them how hard it was to get a hold of them. They apologized and said they didn't know why they didn't get the messages. So we went forward and set up a time to have them come and measure for the granite. I took off one hour early from work. Unfortunately, they never showed up! Sounds almost made up I know. Anyway, we called them the next day and they answered their phone!!!! We were straight up with them and told them they were not reliable and we had decided to go with a different place. I did give them 2 stars as Alex who we worked with there was friendly and nice to speak with. If they would have just answered their phone and kept in touch with their customers I believe they could do really well. Some training in how to treat perspective customers is well needed here. Only other thing I can think of with this company is maybe they don't need walk in customers. Maybe they do only commercial or something?? We do wish this company the best and hope you take our advise seriously.

We're replacing sinks in a couple of bathrooms in our 1936 downtown Detroit home. The challenge in one is (very nice) green floor to ceiling green tile, but the original toilet & large corner tub are a 'golden vanilla' color no one makes anymore. Typical 1930s Jack & Jill bath - fairly small/narrow & I wanted a pedestal or console style - NOT a vanity, which wouldn't fit the space or style, so a vanity top in granite/marble w/an undermount sink & console legs. I'd already been to this company's St Clair shores showroom, where the salesperson disinterestedly explained she couldn't help me, but to go to their 23 Mile Rd 'main showroom'. OK. My wife & I went out there - 1 salesperson & 0 customers in the store, & she went in 1st (while I got some drawings from the car). Strange 'vibe' the moment I walked in - the 20-30-something male salesperson in full 'all-talk-no-listen' mode. I finally was able to explain what we were looking for (which my wife had already done, but she's just a woman . . .). As I'd explain what we wanted, the sales guy would interrupt w/a reason why this or that wouldn't work. I tired of countering his arguments & wasn't surprised when we left & my wife told me he looked annoyed when she walked in & started with the 'Can't you see I'm busy (doing nothing) routine & attitude'. We went to Advance Plumbing in midtown (where we're purchasing faucets, etc) & explained what we're looking for, & our sales rep (Amber) essentially said 'So stone vanity-type top, undermount sink, console legs . . . OK, here's a countertop fabricator I've worked with, we can pick out the sink, legs & faucet . . . Not a big or particularly unusual deal. Wow, a helpful, knowledgeable sales consultant who doesn't condescend or dismiss you with a flip 'what you want can't be done'. Jackasses like the guy at Detroit Tile & Stone drive customers away & if they have any sense, they'll never come back - how do these places stay in business? BTW, their sign said the stone showroom was on the ground floor, the tile upstairs. As we left, my wife asked if I wanted to look at the tile (upstairs). I passed & we went to the Tile Shop, where we spent a few thousand $ on marble for another bathroom project. Oh - I initially contacted them via their website on 9-15 & got an automated ''We'll be right back with you'' response. Ten days later, I'm still waiting for them to ''get right back with me''. This company is a mess.

Sometimes companies are un-freaking- believable.... It is a miracle that organizations with absolutely no regard for customer satisfaction are still in business. Detroit Stone is one of those companies. I actually had to wait awhile to write this yelp because I am very frustrated and annoyed. We were looking for granite to replace a kitchen and smaller bathroom vanity- so we called around to 9 companies. This was not the cheapest by any means but since we are looking to establish a relationship with a company, we figured we would take a chance and opted to go with them. BIG MISTAKE. I originally called on a Friday and spoke with a sales person; I gave the measurements and very specific information. They were able to give me a rough quote right away. We continued to call around but ended up picking them- again, SO SORRY WE DID (if you haven't seen our note on how horrible Fusion Granite is- please read that one too!). I spoke with a gentleman named Andrei Naplau and asked if there was anything that he could do for us since we have a couple of major jobs that we were looking to do. I explained to him that it was a rental house and we would not be present for the measuring but would happily meet him at the showroom after to pick out the slab and make a deposit (there were no issues). They came down a little bit in price but not much. Originally, he was easy to communicate with and we got our measurement scheduled (as we had to arrange this timing with our tenant). Measurement day comes around and our appointment time is almost over, so I figured I would give them a call. I spoke with another gentlemen (I did not catch his name) and asked what time we could expect the measurement guy to arrive..... he looked at a couple of things and said we were never on the schedule to get measured today. I explained what I had previously discussed with Andrei and he agreed. He asked to call me back once he got a hold of his granite measurement guy. He called back and said that he could make it back out at 12:30 (although the original appointment was 9-11). He then stated he would not send out his guy without receiving 50% as a deposit. I asked if the lack of commitment and customer satisfaction was indicative of their quality, he simply responded "no." Even though, we had arrangements to make a payment at the showroom since it was a rental- apparently that was no longer the case. If trying to create a relationship with a company is that difficult, it isn't for me... and I hope it isn't for you either. I thanked him for his time and ended the conversation. I am looking for a great granite company- if you know one, please let me know!!! I have currently have two major jobs and this smaller job to do!
