Be careful with this place. The prices are about $2 per sq ft higher than competition. Also, I asked for a quote on a specific carpet, brand and name. They have me a quote on a Private Label carpet which they said is the same carpet. The quote on the Private Label carpet was competitive with the competition but, it wasn't the same exact one I asked for. There's a reason it's a Private Label. They knew they wouldn't be close in price on the exact carpet I asked for so they gave a quote on the Private Label carpet instead. Regardless of whether or not it's the same carpet, I specifically asked for a quote on a particular carpet but, they never gave me a quote on that one. Additionally, not only did they quote the Private Label carpet instead on the specific carpet I requested, they don't even bother to show me the carpet with a side by side comparison to the actual carpet I asked for. All they did was tell me in the phone that "it's the same carpet." Then why didn't they just show the Private Label and the actual carpets to me and let me decide instead of substituting the carpet in the quote? Also, why didn't they just give me a quote for the actual carpet I asked for instead of arguing with me and trying to convince me that the Private Label carpet was the same as the actual carpet? The representative in the store knew less about the carpets than I did and I don't know much about carpets. I looked things up on Google but, this kid, who is a relative of the owner couldn't answer any of our questions. So, this gives you an idea of what he was trying to do. He did there waiting for customers to go into the store and buy the carpet so he makes his commission but, makes no effort to learn about the product. Don't trust this business. Or, at the very least, get other quotes from other stores. I'm pretty sure the other stores will give you better service and will be less expensive for the same exact carpet without trying to substitutes a Private Label carpet.

We bought luxury vinyl for our entire downstairs. Unfortunately the flooring sample didn’t show any of the dark panels. The flow is terrible and choppy. Now that it’s installed there are many dark panels that don’t look like they belong at all. Overall it’s much darker than the sample too. We hate it. Wish the sales people had advised us that the sample would be totally different from the finished product. It seemed like they were mostly interested in making the sale. Not high level customer service. Now we are stuck with flooring that we hate.

They did excellent work in our home. Installed new flooring in 3000 sq ft of our home. They came in 1 week while we were out of town and did everything. Quick, clean, courteous. No trouble with the neighbors. Afterwards, they sent people to take care of the loose ends within 1 week. This is a top notch company with quality workmanship and kind people. I will use them again and I highly recent them. They even fed the Hampster while we were out of town.

I purchased $11,000 at this establisment. They were great at first, which is why I returned to have them take care of my (small) kitchen. I called them, went in, brought in the measurements. After 10 days of me calling and calling without a return call. My final call was to complain. One of the brother's told me that it may be because we didn't spend enough money the last time. Don't offer your customers a deal if you believe you won't make enough money. I'm not sure what's going on over there. It was strange.

It took several months to decide which wood floors I wanted to install. The staff in both the San Clemente and Aliso Viejo locations were extremely helpful and patient. They repeatedly showed me photographs and discussed various options with me. The install was excellent and the installers were neat and efficient. I would definitely recommend this company.

Just got our new carpet from this longstanding San Clemente Co. they worked with us very patiently to make sure we got the best quality carpet and pad at a fair price and delivered on time. We can't say enough about the installation team meven though we have very heavy complicated furniture and antiques they did this job with no damage and no whining. To give you an idea of this company the same guy who installed our carpet 18 years ago installed our carpet this time they use quality installers that are caring careful and competent. very nice guys would not hesitate to recommend this company to any friend or family, you can't do better

Just had Designer's Magic install new hardwood in 2 rooms. They moved out the furniture, pulled up the old carpet, put down a plywood subfloor, then installed the hardwoods and painted and installed new quarter round...then put the furniture back. I highly recommend hiring Designers Magic Flooring for any residential laminate or solid wood upgrade. My experience working with R.J. and his staff in two of my properties has been very pleasant. Designers Magic stood behind the product and work! In my current home, R.J. and his team repaired and replaced a three year old laminate floor they previously installed in the Master Bathroom. The repair was completed at no cost to me including materials and labor. They exceeded my expectations and standing behind their products and installations.

They installed a new wood floor after our old floor was water damaged. We found the perfect wood in their showroom and they worked with us to quote the job and fit the installation into our schedule. Within 1 week they demolished, prepared, and installed the wood floor and replaced and painted all the baseboards. Everything was done beautifully. They communicated with us every step along the way and they were easy to reach by phone and by text. We are really impressed with the professional job they did from start to finish. I would recommend them to anyone looking to install hardwood floors.

My wife and I needed to replace the original flooring in our house last December, 2021. We obtained a few estimates but their service was lacking. Some friends referred us to Magic Flooring in San Clemente next to Trader Joe's. We talked to the store rep and set up a time so they could measure and provide an estimate. They came on time and were very helpful. We thought the estimate was high but worked out the issues with Kevin. We ordered the flooring. Since it was near Christmas, they were able to set up a time for the removal of the old floor and installation of the new wood flooring well before the 25th. The workers showed up on time, moved the furniture, covered the fireplace etc, removed the flooring, leveled the floor, and installed the new flooring, all within a few days. Turns out our refrigerator had a leak in the water line and was a total loss. The workers moved the reefer for us out to the garage plus a sofa we were donating. They were extremely nice and helpful! After the job was completed and the furniture back in the house, there was an issue with the floor and we called Kevin. He came out promptly and checked the problem and wound up tearing out half of the new floor in the living room and corrected the problem to our complete satisfaction and at no additional cost, and all before Christmas. I have to say Kevin and his staff went the extra mile and we can't be more pleased with their service and product. I'm giving them 5 stars - but wish I could give them 10+ stars!

We have been customers of Designer's Magic for 20 years because we know we will get great service & competitive pricing. We appreciate that they are family-owned, employ their own installers, always on time, and work fast. The carpet we chose for our remodeled primary bedroom was only available at Lowe's so we had no choice but to purchase from them. After a four week wait they could not locate the carpet then found out the installer had it. Unfortunately, he mis- measured and we were going to have to start all over again. We cancelled our order, headed straight to D. M. and with their help, chose a similar carpet. It was delivered and installed in 1 1/2 weeks! I selected Designer's Magic on a friends recommendation and was extremely happy with the service I received from everyone I worked with. The staff is great. From the store to the installation team, the whole experience was awesome. Great input and care selecting our floor. The install team was awesome. They moved all of our furniture out in one day, leveled the floor and then came back and installed living, dining, family room, three bedrooms and four closets on their return the next day. Oh, and they moved all of the furniture back into the house that same day they installed the floor. We had several custom areas that needed fitting from a curved transition to tile and special fitting in one of the closets. Beautiful!!

I recently replaced my 30 year old carpet (yuck) with new LVP from Designer magic. In preparation for this job they also had to remove over 250sq ft of saltillo tile, marble, and linoleum flooring. They also installed and painted new baseboards. I worked with Steven at Designer Magic who did a great job coordinating the entire project. I appreciate the fact that he was able to price match a competitor's bid, showed up at the job site, monitored the progress, kept me informed, was easy to reach, and kept each step of the process moving efficiently. I was also very pleased with the lead installer Rolando. His team worked nonstop and I felt very confident they knew what they were doing. After the carpet was removed, it was determined my concrete foundation was not flat enough to meet the manufacturer installation requirements and would have to be leveled. At first I thought this was possibly an unecessary add-on for profit. Rolando showed me specifically where the floor needed to be leveled. After watching him work I trusted that the liquid leveling was necessary. In addition I read online about problems people had when they installed LVP over a floor not flat enough (seperation of the planks). Unfortunately my dog got in and ran through before the leveling concrete had hardened. I couldn't believe I had let that happen! The next day Rolando was very kind about it and was able to quickly overcome this additional problem. The owner of Designer Magic, Richard, also stopped by twice to check on the project. The floor and baseboards look great, my wife is happy, and I am very satisfied with the job completed by Designer Magic.

Keith was so very helpful in the showroom, letting me continually take out wood floor samples until I finely narrowed down the perfect one. Kevin did the measuring and had the installation of wood floors done in my entire home. Things went smoothly and the wood floors and baseboards look amazing throughout. Being an Interior designer for more than 30 years I've worked with many flooring people and this company has exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend Designer's Magic for flooring and bathroom remodel and other handyman services. I worked with Steven from Designer Magic on selecting the floors, the estimate for the entire flooring of our house and small remodel of the downstairs bathroom. He provided excellent professionalism by giving an accurate estimate on price and time frame. He met all our expectations by following up promptly on any delays and product delivery. The contractor Jose Colores was one of the best foreman that I worked with as his employees did our demolition of our tiles, hardwood floors, and carpet in 1.5 days of 1,400 sqft and completed the luxury vinyl installation in 5 days. I got other estimates from 5 other contractors and they all gave us an estimate of 8-15 days which wasn't ideal for us since we did not leave our home during the entire time of the flooring installation. Trust me when I tell you that this is the company that you need to hire for floors, bathrooms, kitchen, etc as I spent 2 weeks researching companies and getting estimates on price and time frame for the work. I wanted to give a shout out to the Designer's Magic Flooring team! I spent a long time trying to decide if I wanted carpet or laminate flooring. I took many different samples home over several months, and each time the people who work there were very patient with me. I mainly worked with Steven, and he was very patient with me and never tried to pressure me into purchasing from him. Kevin and his dad were also very helpful and patient with me! I finally decided on carpet. Four men arrived right on time to install my new carpet, and they did a wonderful job! They were such hard workers, and I couldn't be happier with the quality of the carpet and the excellent installation from the carpet installers. We came back two years later to finish flooring the remaining rooms in our home. RJ and his team continue to exceed our expectations. We took home a few flooring samples and on the recommendation of Keith, in their office, took a third sample that was a bit different in color. Surprised us but we went with his recommendation. Their team came in and did a great job installing, and their paint crew followed the next day and professionally painted the baseboards and 1/4 inch added rounds to tie in all the rooms. We recarpeted two rooms using Designer's Magic and couldn't have been more pleased. Being avid Costco customers, and having had Costco vendors do our carpeting years before, we assumed Costco would get our business this time also. But Designer's Magic not only beat Costco's price with the same carpet quality, Designer's Magic customer service was terrific and seriously outshone Costco's. Their attentiveness during our selection and purchase stage was superb, and their follow thru on scheduling and installation was perfect. We also like that they support our community in several different ways.

RJ is the consummate professional. These guys deliver. I'm very particular. The flooring installers were very very careful with all my furniture. They do everything with such detail and skill just every phase perfectly. Every detail is accounted for. I'm not used to being treated so well. Every person involved in the entire process was stellar. The craftsmanship is phenomenal. My wife Leslie and I are so happy with this job we can't say enough good about them. I'm going to do epoxy on the garage floor later and redo the fire place ... they will do both projects. Awesome!
