I use the Poor/Fair only because there is nothing lower. There is nothing "Fair" about DeGeus. Completely unhelpfull. All information had to be dragged out of them, and they still did not give adequate infofmation for anyone not a "tile expert" to understand. They were very slow calling back with answers to any questions. Their quote for instalation was Highway Robbery. They were $1000 higher than the next closest bid and 3 times higher than the installer I chose. In addition they did not have the bid correct. They forgot to include several important items. After they found out I was not having them install, their attitude got worse. Use DeGeus AT YOUR PERIL.

I have worked with DeGeus Tile & Granite for 20 years and now with Carpets plus for the past several years thru my role as a Kitchen & Bath Designer at Beyond Kitchens. Building and maintaining relationships in our industry is key! And finding a company that you have worked with for so long speaks volumes to their customer service, quality of work & listening to our needs. Remarkably through nearly 20 years in business and lots of growth, they have maintained the personal touch that sets them apart!

We went to Degeus in search of the perfect backsplash for our kitchen and a quartz remnant for a countertop. The customer service was great and we have no complaints. They offered several suggestions, let us take home multiples samples, showed us what grout colors would actually look like with the tile, and were just all around extremely helpful. They aren't over the top "pushy salespeople" and just let us look around until we wanted assistance. They have numerous quartz and granite remnants, which ended up saving us a ton of money. We would definitely recommended them for your tile and countertop needs!

I’ve always been very pleased with the kind and very experienced staff at DeGeus. They stand by their work and are always happy to help solve any problems, even the most minor issues. Mike is incredibly busy, but he follows up and is honest, helpful and is highly knowledgeable and experienced in this field. I’m so thankful I can rely on them after the tile has been placed!

UPDATE: I have increased the rating. After a year we had a slight issue with some on the workmanship. They stood behind it and fixed it, no questions asked!! I increased 1.5 STARS but gave them the benefit of the doubt rounding up!
This place rates a 5+ for workmanship. The installer we had was one of the best I have seen! He treated our home like it was his. Shane arrived when on time and left the work area clean every day. So why a 2-star review?
Customer service is HORRIBLE! We have not experienced this type of service from a "service business". From the beginning. We arrived at the showroom in late January. The sales staff was polite and helpful. After the sale and down payment is where the horror story began. We were told 4-6 weeks after we paid half the bill which was several thousands of dollars. I contacted them in the middle of March but scheduler would NOT respond to calls or emails. I also called and emailed the owner, Mike. Nothing!! No response. Frustrating.
We finally got our A1 installer to work on our project end of April though end of May. After job was complete, I contacted owner again. This time he responded immediately. He basically said he was sorry. If you can stomach poor customer service this your place.

ZERO stars. They reset our sink and put silicone around it to stop a leak. To do this, they disconnected the water lines and garbage disposal. We came home to a complete mess. I called to ask if they were going to hook it back up. Their statement to me was "we are licensed to take apart plumbing, but not to put it back together. Basically, they are sticking the cost of cleaning up their mess to the customer. Plus, very rude on the phone. EXTREMELY RUDE!

High quality design and production of all types of tile. The colors and detail are for discriminating buyers who seek tile which is not merely functional but rises to the level of fine art... without the high prices. Their displays of QUARTZ in all it's manifestation are in and of themselves worth the trip to visit their showroom. They also offer a kids' play area and tables and chairs where the consumer has the opportunity to sit and relax instead of feeling harried and rushed. I like their Havana line of tile, the patters channel old world charm and derivative of Cuba in the 18th century.

If I could give a lower rating I would. We were scheduled to have counter installed. Everything was all confirmed prior. Expected them to show up when they said as we had sub- contractors in a hold pattern until they came to install. Everything this week, was scheduled based off the counter top being installed on (today) Monday morning. Long story short, my husband asked to speak with owner or manager as they indicated they couldn't install until Wednesday which threw off all other contractors. Wednesday DID NOT work at all for any of subs or us as home-owners that relied on the install to happen when they said it would. Our expectation is that a company should make it "right" and not affect the customer. Well, that didn't happen, manager/owner did not follow-up and they have now jeopardized our closing on current house and moving into new house.
If they would have had a decent resolution based off of decent customer service, I wouldn't have felt it necessary to do this review!! Never reviewed anything before now!

A company representative stated that the project could be fully completed in 70 business days, which allowed us to classify the company as one with a long turnaround time.
It’s important to note that the timeframe provided to our mystery shopper may differ from what you’ll be quoted, as turnaround time depends on many factors — including the complexity of the project, the material selected, and the company’s current workload. Does DeGeus Tile & Granite offer cutouts for sinks, cooktops, or other elements?
Yes, like most professional contractors in the market, DeGeus Tile & Granite performs cutouts and countertop preparation for various components — both standard and modern. According to our findings, these services are typically included in the overall project estimate. The standard scope usually covers cutouts for sinks (undermount, drop-in, or farmhouse) and holes for faucets or other plumbing fixtures. Additional cutouts — such as for cooktops, hidden or pop-up outlets, built-in wireless chargers, or other accessories — are discussed individually at the project planning and estimating stage.
It’s important to note that while the cutouts and countertop preparation are usually performed by the company, the installation of electrical and plumbing fixtures (such as faucets, outlets, or appliances) may not be included in their scope of work and could require licensed professionals. We recommend clarifying this point when placing your order.
To avoid misunderstandings, ask for a detailed estimate with a breakdown of all services: cutout pricing, installation, and any add-on options. This will ensure project transparency and help you clearly understand what you're paying for.
What guarantees does DeGeus Tile & Granite provide for its work?
According to our information and industry practice, DeGeus Tile & Granite, like most participants in the ranking, provides a workmanship warranty valid for 1 year from the date of countertop installation. This period is usually specified in the contract. We do not rule out that the company may have extended warranty terms (2 years or more), however, during our research, we did not receive confirmed data from the contractor regarding the duration and scope of its warranty.
The contractor’s warranty covers defects in fabrication and installation, such as uneven or separating seams, leveling and fastening issues, detachment or sagging of an undermount sink, flaws in edge finishing and cutouts, premature failure of seam materials, and cutouts that do not match the approved design. Warranty coverage does not include damage from use (thermal shock/burn marks from hot cookware, chips or cracks caused by impacts), stains and acid etching (for marble), wear due to insufficient maintenance or lack of sealing, natural characteristics of stone (veins, micro-pores, variations in shade/pattern within tolerances), shifts caused by base deformation, or any modifications performed by third parties.
The material warranty is provided by the manufacturer or the official stone supplier. Engineered quartz brands often offer a limited “lifetime” warranty for residential properties (subject to registration and compliance with care guidelines). For sintered surfaces, typical warranty periods range from 10 to 25 years. Natural stone usually does not come with a factory warranty — its quality of fabrication and installation is covered by the contractor’s warranty. The term and scope of the warranty depend on the project and materials — contact DeGeus Tile & Granite in any convenient way on this page to get the current terms.
