Wow, please avoid these guys. We hired them for a kitchen remodel and it was an awful experience. It was an unorganized process and the work was bad: -subcontractors would show up on the wrong days (which was rough having to rearrange my own work schedule), the countertops were incorrectly cut, countertops incorrectly installed, tile caulking cracking, cabinets were installed unlevel, shelves were installed unlevel, handles were installed unlevel, caulking left all over cabinets, brand new paint damaged/scratched due to rolling shelf install, sloppy electrical work was done that we had do redo ourselves, dishwasher install never completed, unfinished baseboards and sloppy baseboard install. As homeowners, we had to bring up all the issues as they happened since there was no oversight from Cutting Edge on our project. This resulted in subcontractors making multiple visits and we're even left with items on the list that were never fixed. We've been left to complete/fix on our own and resulting in having us spend more money to buy additional materials. Upon our final invoice for the remaining 10% of the quote, we asked to speak with the owner about all these issues. At the end of the day, we simply requested to have some discounts applied for all the issues and the unresolved issues and the response was unreal. We were blamed for all of their messed up work and claimed they had several additional charges from subs bc they had to come out and fix their work that was poorly done in the first place. We were also threatened with legal action by the owner because he was unwilling to take ownership of any errors and come to a fair agreement with the final invoice. In conclusion, do your research, and avoid Cutting Edge Kitchens at all cost.

Cutting Edge did an amazing job taking my 1980’s home and modernizing it to something my family loves to come home to. No more pink countertops! They did a great job from start to finish, from helping choose the countertop, demo, install and arranging subcontractors, the process was well-thought out. Communication was great as well, I knew who was coming each day. I felt comfortable with all of the contractors in my house. In total we have new countertops in the kitchen and guest bathroom, a new pantry, and new flooring throughout the house. Finally, they are upfront about pricing, there were no surprise charges, and I cannot emphasize how rare that is these days.

Cutting Edge had a challenge to repair the corner of a broken onyx bathroom sink. They took time to make the repair beautifully crafted and were very conscious of how I liked the finish product. Thanks to both of you for your excellent craftsmanship. I love that there are so many other things you can do. Will definitely call again.

Cutting Edge was great to work with from start to finish. Helping us choose our granite, to layout and the installers were amazing. Took very good care to not damage anything. They made certain everything fit perfectly, even lowering in the cooktop and downdraft. And discovering it needed a 64th of and inch trimmed off. Would highly recommend cutting edge.

If you want a company that is efficient, professional and knowledgeable, you don't need to look at any other company than Cutting Edge Kitchens. If I could give them 6-stars, I would, they are that good. Don't waste time searching other kitchen remodelers, you've already found the best with Cutting Edge Kitchens of Idaho.

Chris does an absolutely AMAZING job. He was attentive to detail, extremely thorough, and had very high standards for his work. We felt safe allowing him to work in our home when we weren’t there. After he finished, the polish on our counters didn’t meet his expectations so he relished them and somehow still came in under his original estimate for the work. Our countertops look like mirrors now! We will certainly have him back and can’t express how great his work looks. Consummate pro!

I just wanted to say "Thank you" for coming out and installing a sink that I purchased elsewhere. I had purchased installation as well, but when the installer arrived, he simply said "I don't do sinks under granite countertops", and left me with the sink sitting on the floor. It was really nice to hear "We can come out the day after tomorrow." Instead of "We're too busy", or "the job is too small" and countless other responses to phone calls I had made after the original installer declined to do the job he was hired to do. To put the proverbial "icing on the cake", It only took 2 hours, they did a great job, and the price was very reasonable! You can bet I'll recommend and use cutting edge kitchens in the future!

We called Cutting Edge for a quote to replace our countertops. They were incredibly friendly from the start! When they came to give the quote, they recommended a backsplash tile wall that we never would have thought of... we had it installed, by some of the kindest installers, and it looks amazing!!! The entire CEK crew is amazing and I highly recommend them!

These guys are soooo amazing! We had a kitchen fire during the COVID-19 pandemic and they went ABOVE AND BEYOND to help us get our kitchen back in working order. Every single person my family interacted with was helpful, professional and efficient! They keep you informed of every step and show up on time and ready to get the job done. I loved the referrals to different companies in the area for materials, especially the local ones. Natasha does an amazing job at explaining everything in the process and helping make suggestions that are cost effective and align with our style selections. I would recommend this company without reservation for any of your kitchen needs!

Cutting Edge went above and beyond to make sure our quartz countertops in our kitchen and in two bathrooms look amazing! And they also installed a beautiful granite hearth for our fireplace that was precision-cut with multiple angles - a perfect fit. Okay, there's even more they did for us! They worked with our tile installation team to coordinate the installation of tile for our master bath shower and floors. The entire Cutting Edge team is professional, responsive and really nice to work with! I would highly recommend Cutting Edge and would work with them again! Thanks to everyone there!

We are new to the area and picked Cutting Edge by reading other reviews. Daniel and Wyatt arrived on time and did a great job installing our counter tops. They were very professional and pleasant. Before they left, they made sure we knew how to care for the granite and composite sink that was installed. Counter Tops look great.

I would certainly use Cutting Edge Kitchens again.. The first thing I liked was that Ben showed up on time to discuss my needs. He listened and made recommendations that were helpful to me.. My old granite needed to be removed before the new granite could be installed. The crew showed up on time and were able to remove it with no damage to he existing backsplash. Marla helped with placement of the templates on the granite to bring out the stone's best features. The installation was done in a timely maker and went smoothly as well. The crew was polite and efficient. My new granite looks amazing. I highly recommend them. Thank you.

Cutting Edge Kitchens did an acceptable job of fabricating and installing our quartz kitchen countertops. They get a low rating for 1) Passing their overhead costs on to the customer by charging an "administrative fee", 2) Being higher priced than comparable local companies and charging a credit card fee of nearly 4% unless you pay by cash or check. 3) Not finishing one edge of the countertop where there is a large space between it and the existing refrigerator. Would not recommend now that I know there are better, more cost effective fabricator/installers in the area.

If I could give zero stars I would. Hired them to do a small bathroom counter and backsplash in a brand new bathroom and they broke a sink, damaged wall texture and paint, and refuse to acknowledge or fix it. Do not hire this company unless you want your property damaged and fixed on your own dime.

Where do we begin....simply put, they are not a reliable kitchen remodeler. They are a countertop company that should not be flipping kitchens. They suffer from bad project management. Cutting Edge hires horrible subcontractors and then cannot properly manage their projects or look over the subcontractor's work as it progresses. We were left to point out incredibly basic mistakes - very unlevel cabinets, badly installed countertops, extremely non-code-compliant electrical work, and unfinished work that we were left to resolve. Subcontractors were arriving to our house asking us questions as if we were managing the project. After about 3 months, we started to wonder if we were managing subcontractors or if Cutting Edge was. The first sign of things to come was the estimate. We had received updated estimates that had additional services/items that we hadn't requested. We asked for the invoice to be updated a handful of times. Not that big of a deal, but we began to question some of the costs - like $1000+ to install (hook up and hang) a ducted range hood. This is (at most) a two-hour job. The subcontractor rates that Cutting Edge had hired were beyond excessive. The next big sign was when the countertops started to go in. The measurements were extremely off (which is fine, we get that there needs to be adjustments). However, upon inspection, the countertops were shimmed up to 1/4 in some places with beads of silicone too thick to even maintain structure. Within a day, the silicone started to pull away, exposing massive gaps between the quartz and cabinets. It was clear that none of the cabinets were level. This forced the cabinet sub to come out and attempt to re-level a cabinet with the countertops installed. This damaged the cabinet's paint but fixed the issue. At this point, we were getting worried that the countertop installers hadn't called their boss to say "hey, we shouldn't put countertops in today, these cabinets are not level. Get your sub back out here to fix!". Instead, a problem became compounded. The next issue that arrived was maybe the worst of the bunch - the electricians. There was several miscommunications between us and our contact at Cutting Edge as to what these guys were doing. We had done some electrical work of our own, but at the end of the day - we had really just expanded a 2 gang to a 4 gang - and expected these guys to install new outlets in half a dozen boxes. This did not happen - and rather than being told upfront "that was not in your bid", Cutting Edge kept sending out their subs, who got increasingly mad at the miscommunication. This resulted in electricians showing up, busting into my wife's home office during a business call, and demanding that she show them "what they are supposed to be doing.". Again, where is Cutting Edge? Boxes were then installed in our island (not flush, with outlet covers 1/8 inch off the surface of the cabinet). We were told "this was the way it was". Upon looking, I was able to flush the boxes up to the wood myself within 15 minutes. Lazy work by electricians. Finally, months later, we discovered that the wiring to the microwave was run under the house with romex that was run on the ground - not nailed properly to joists or secured. Junction boxes were face down in the dirt with no cover. Completely embarrassing work that needs to be fixed. Is this even code-compliant? Mistake after mistake, we felt like this wasn't the service we were paying for. The final straw was floating shelves that were not installed level or flush. When the tile sub arrived, we had to work with him to push the floating shelves onto their brackets so he could tile around. Once completed, it was clear the cabinet sub had, yet again, not used a level to check the brackets. The work had compounded again and Cutting Edge (at this point) decided to blame us for not installing the shelves level. Again - where are you guys to check the work of your subs before moving onto another large chapter!? Upon us holding our final payment back until this work was fixed and completed, the owner decided to blame us - CC in his lawyer - and threaten to put a lien on our house. Truly unbelievable considering the amount of money were paying and how shotty the work was. To make matters into an almost laughable level of unprofessionalism, he blamed uncompleted baseboard work (baseboards they removed) as a result of "us not specifying finish work in our bid." It was clear that the owner was so out of the loop on the project - and had started to get such a bad profit margin on his project - that his only remaining move was to threaten us legally to pay up. Please use someone else. I cannot express how bad and how lazy this "general contractor" is. You would be better off GC'ing the project yourself.

We went looking for unique waterfall left over remnant slab. Found a beautiful remnant for sale at $1080 dollars. Drive home to be sure it would work We go back and want buy the slab. THEN they say NO. If buy the slab we want fabricate it for an additional $55 per sq ft. I say no. I just want buy the slab. They want charge for delivery and I explain I have transported granite and I can borrow their A frame. They say I can't borrow and I say no problem. I can borrow or build one for nothing. Then they say for safety reasons they can't allow me to buy and transport myself. Totally dishonest representation by putting price for a remnant damaged slab and then upselling they must fabricate and I can't just buy at price they had on sticker for the slab. I would avoid ever trusting them. The fact they have bowls catching rain water coming thru roof in their showroom should have made me more suspicious when it was there a week ago and leaks still dripping in.

The installers were incredible and the granite is exactly what we needed. The problem we had were the assumptions made by Ben and poor communication with the subs. 1)We asked three times if we were keeping our sink (we were). It was thrown out. 2) My wife ALWAYS wanted a walk-in pantry with this project. That was not communicated to the subs. 3)We have a preferred electrician who was called once, and never followed up on. 4)When the backsplash granite was installed, it took two attempts. First time granite was too short--installers said they would not install that in their own kitchens--Second time it was too long. Installers had to spend an extra 3-4 hours grinding the granite to the correct size. Overall, make sure everything is understood by CEK in finite detail and they can say back to you your project requirements before they begin. This project started in June, we are still waiting for it to be done completely three months later. Subs with wrong information gave us (and then subsequent jobs) wrong information about timelines. We know have to wait and be woven between the subcontractors other jobs because they did not receive correct info.

The day Cutting Edge Kitchens scheduled to remove our old countertops they were over 2 hours late. During installation they broke the bathroom mirror, dented our rounded corners (in the hall) and scuffed up our hardwoods (to the point they now need to be refinished). When I told Marla about our problems she told me she was sorry. When my husband brought it up to Ben he said their contract states Cutting Edge Kitchens is not responsible for any damage that may occur. In the end they did replace our mirror. Finally, we had a lot of granite left over. They did not mention it or deliver it. We had to pick it up. I would not recommend Cutting Edge Kitchens.

I'm posting this so that others do not end up in the situation I ended up in with Cutting Edge Kitchens. Our new kitchen went from a dream to a disaster. There were gaps left in the countertop-to-cabinet spaces, there was a gap left between the cook top and counter, the tile work was sloppy, several pieces of drywall were knocked out and were not replaced. Also, large pieces of drywall, dust and dirt was left in the kitchen cabinets. The work crew unhooked our gas but did not hook it up after the job was complete until I called and complained. We went two days without our stove.
