In the fall of 2020 we chose Mogastone to fabricate and install Snowfall granite countertops for our three bathrooms, and we were extremely pleased with their work . We knew about Mogastone because they had fabricated and installed our Black Galaxy granite kitchen countertops in December 2010. Anca and Lumi were wonderful to work with and were always responsive and helpful when we had questions. They were knowledgeable and honest about which materials would be appropriate for our countertop application. I would highly recommend Mogastone to anyone who wants to work with knowledgeable people who do good work and are responsive to their customers.

Recently replaced 2 bathroom countertops. We visited several places, but Mogastone had a better supply, employees are willing to spend the needed time to make a good selection and their pricing is easy to understand. We also liked that we could informally visit their yard any time without restrictions or going through a sales pitch every time. Overall service and installation was great.

Very good. Used for bathroom and kitchen. Helped with choices of marble. On time, used precise laser measurements, courteous, neat and tidy. Crew very good and made sure to go over all questions during install and reviewed job at end. Certainly would use again. My contractor said that they are the best and he was right.

We highly recommend Mogastone. They did our kitchen countertops and the end result is excellent. The folks at the office were very patient with us, provided clear options/pricing and answered all of our questions. The guy that took the final measurements also helped us understand a nuance we would have with our re-do. His suggested fix worked out perfectly. The install crew was punctual and professional. They protected the floors, removed the existing stone and installed the counters. We are extremely happy with the end result and would use Mogastone again!

We have only had our quartz countertops for just over a week and every day we are so pleased and complimentary of the end result! From the first interaction at the showroom, to picking the quartz we wanted, to measurement, to installation, the process was flawless. We are so happy with the finished product! When our kitchen was measured, we were given great ideas that we chose to implement (no pressure about the ideas either but they were all great and added so much to our project!). Our experience with Mogastone was amazing! I am not an “easy” customer, but they were incredibly patient, helpful, and we LOVE our new counters and backsplash! We visited the showroom many times, and each time the staff allowed us to take our time, and were attentive to our questions. They were knowledgeable, provided opinions and great suggestions (I.e. having the marble honesty soften the look!), and talked us through pros and cons of marble vs quartzite, etc. The feeling that they wanted us to have the right product to fit our needs and budget was very much appreciated! Our island is 128”, so we needed a large slab, and they ultimately helped us find the perfect marble for us and our home. The measuring process was easy and efficient, and resulting pricing was clear - no hidden costs or surprises! Having the ability to approve which way the marble was installed was great for us to ensure it fit our vision. The delivery/install was amazing - our large island slab was a beast to lift… The team clearly had done it a million times before, and executed perfectly. They were careful to ensure the backsplash fit perfectly around the cabinets, and worked efficiently. We couldn’t be more happy with our unique and beautiful marble. It is truly the most amazing artwork in our house!

Mogastone did great work. They worked with me to prepare the tops with some atypical rebates/cutouts in them for some special popup electrical outlets. They welcomed me into thier shop to work together and get the rebate correct a few days before install. Very tidy install work. Their install team we very professional and worked hard over one long day. Their preparation of seams between slabs is just amazing, almost invisible. I recommend them highly.

When I visited 6 months ago, Nick had a nice slab of the style of granite we wanted, with their proprietary sealant that he said does not need resealing; they would do some, but not all, of the coordination of the plumbing. The price was slightly higher than the competition. I was put off only by the fact there was no response to one simple follow-up question about their estimate I received by email. Recently, we visited again, and were immediately handed off to another family member. They did not have in stock the granite type we wanted; we did not sense they cared about getting it, either. Seemed to deny they ever had it. The sealant was every 4-5 years only, nothing else available, we were told. Nothing about accommodating edge types and corners as with Nick, either. With the plumbing, "you are on your own." We did not select Mogastone so I can only observe based on our interactions and other customer testimonials that they do seem to do good work, and have some good proprietary processes. But they tend to be more expensive, and are prone to "systematizing" a sales process, rather than working with a customer to get his needs met. The inflexible, disconnected sales experience and indifference toward small(?) projects is off-putting; giving an impression they do not want the business. Okay, you lose.

I visited Mogastone in March 2024 looking for a countertop for powder room. I was greeted by Victoria when I first walked in. She asked about my project and dimensions. We then went looking in the back for a remnant. I had just left another shop where their remnants were so tightly packed, it was difficult to see anything. The selection at Mogastone was impressive, very organized. Victoria stayed with me, answering questions and helped me find the right piece. We went back inside to do the paperwork and the installation date was set about 3 weeks out. I corresponded with Victoria a couple of times with questions and she was very responsive. Installation went smoothly and I absolutely love my countertop! Highly recommend! Planning to use them again for a spare bathroom and kitchen.

I chose a porcelain countertop that looks exactly like marble, but requires no maintenance like natural stone. The installers were efficient, courteous and did an absolutely amazing job. All edges are beveled so there are no sharp corners. They even removed a butcher block top from my kitchen work cart, and replaced it with the same porcelain. Before the pieces were cut and brought for installation, I was sent a picture for my approval, of how the finished product would look. They had chosen to cut in such a way that the marble pattern was just outstanding in every area, and the single seam on the countertop is almost completely invisible. Instead of cutting around a windowsill, they removed the sill; installed the porcelain; then trimmed the back edge of the sill and replaced it, maintaining its original depth. Thanks to Mogastone for a beautiful job, and all the "Wow!" compliments on my kitchen!

We just returned to Mogastone to get a granite bathroom counter/sink and it reminded me why we liked them five years ago when they did our kitchen counters. They have some very beautiful, unique stone to pick from, were quick to come take measurements and they were reasonably-priced. Back when we had our kitchen counters done, I'd gotten a quote from Lowe's for a less-interesting piece of granite and it was more pricey than the one we settled on with Mogastone that is unique and that, five years later, we still love. For the bathroom sink I had considered both Lowe's and Home Depot for an all-in-one bathroom counter and sink but kept reading bad reviews about the water not draining and the sink staining. The Mogastone sink is really good quality and the counters are beautiful and will last. Highly recommend Mogastone and will come back for a master bathroom sink!

This family owned company provided us with the very best experience possible when we decided to replace our mostly black granite countertops with something with more character and brightness. I previously wrote a scalding review about our experience with Mogastone. However, I am replacing it with this review because the actual owner has been incredible. When we first went here, a staff person said she was the owner. The actual owner was on maternity leave. When she read our review last week she call my husband Jim immediately. She was sincerely sorry about what happened to us and asked us to come back and they would have a new slab cut and ready for Jim to pick up which replaces the one that failed before we even got it out of our truck. As promised, the piece was ready this morning! From the beginning all we wanted was what we ordered and to be treated fairly. I am happy to recommend them, but be sure if a promise is made to you that you confirm with the owner directly.

We visited Mogastone on a Friday during our lunch break. While there, we picked out the granite we liked, the sink, and the type of edge. Since we live close by the store, the owner was able to come out and measure (small kitchen). He said they just got a new cutting machine and might have availability to get it done same-day. He said they would call and let us know. Two hours later they called and asked if they could come by and install it! By 6pm, our kitchen counters were in. The owner said that this was unusual and not to tell anyone. :) We are very pleased. Excellent service. Clean. Installers were friendly. Would recommend.

Mogastone was fabulous to work with. From the first moment we stopped by to see what they offered, Anca was extremely helpful. She was able to give us tips and design suggestions as we described the rest of our kitchen decor. We then went back to pick out our slab and Maria was great at helping us make our final decision and contract. After that they installed our counter tops in less than two weeks. Nick came out and did measurement and a template. Then three gentlemen came and installed our counter tops in about 2 hours from ripping out the old ones to our new beautiful granite counter tops being installed. We had a unique kitchen layout that involved a single piece that was a backwards J shape with some unique angles. They did a phenomenal job fabricating the piece, it was perfect. After further examining the work I noticed one of the corners was not the same as the others, I contacted them right away and they arranged for some to come fix it on the spot at our home, working with my schedule. They have since fixed the corner and took them about 20 minutes. We are extremely happy with our granite counter tops. But were even more impressed and satisfied with the high quality of service we received from several people at Mogastone during our 3 week start to finish project. They are also extremely responsive and helpful by email during the entire process. I would recommend Mogastone to anyone looking to update some counter tops you will get high quality service from a family owned business that will treat you right at very reasonable prices.

My wife and I shopped a variety of granite distributors for our new kitchen - both retail and wholesale warehouses - and ended up purchasing from Mogastone and were extremely pleased we did. First, all the staff at the office was so nice and informative: Maria, Anca and Constantine were in the showroom when we first visited and they were patient, thoughtful and very helpful. In particular, we wanted a bevel that wasn't too sharp (an Ogee, they call it), and they were very accommodating where other retailers were not. Constantine explained that they would raise the router to achieve a more rounded, smoother bevel and that worked out just the way we wanted. Next, we found that they had the best selection of even some of the warehouses we visited and were delighted to find a unique "Sienna Bordeaux" which had a beautiful movement in the stone that we were able to showcase on our various counter tops. Once again, Constantine was very helpful in helping us line up where the cuts and shapes were going to be made to make sure we got the most beautiful parts of the stone for our kitchen. Weeks later, when our new cabinets were installed, Nick came out for the final measure. Nick was very knowledgeable and made several recommendations that we hadn't thought about and even some that at first we didn't want. An example was when he suggested that we have them make end pieces that go along the wall to make clean up easier and to have a more finished look, we were at first against it but told him to make them anyway and that we'd decide upon installation whether or not we wanted them. On installation day, four workers showed up along with Constantine himself. The install went completely smoothly, despite them having to cut some of the walls out to make the granite fit correctly. It was SO nice to have one part of our renovation go smoothly and without a hitch! And, sure enough, when they placed the end pieces they looked great. They even put the Ogee edge on the top of these end pieces. Thanks, Nick! Overall, we are extremely pleased with Mogastone and highly recommend them. We will definitely use them again if and when we need more granite or any other surface. Thanks to everyone there!

In anticipation of remodeling my bathroom I checked out a couple of granite/marble suppliers close to my home in Morrisville. My experience was so dreadful at one supplier I almost gave up hoping for good qualified help with my choice. I then remembered Mogastone on Chapel Hill Rd, which I often pass in my travels. Soon as I pulled in Anca, one of the employees signaled that she saw me and would be with me in a moment, even though she was serving another customer at that moment. When she was free she promptly, and with a genuine smile, greeted me and offered to help with my decision. Though she did not have exactly what I was after right there, she sent me to two of her suppliers to look over their offerings. I found the perfect Carrera Marble for my bath. Mogastone was able to turn around the install in a few short days and their professionalism was top notch. The counter actually far exceeded my expectation and I couldn't be happier with it. But the best part was Anca! She made me feel like she was happy to have my business and to help me. A truly great experience and I have already recommended her/Mogastone to a person who is going to replace her counters soon. A satisfied customer is always the best advertisement and Mogastone is by far and away a top notch company. I will use them again and only them when I renovate my kitchen soon. We were forced to get new counter tops because our 20 year old stove top glass shattered and the sizes of all the new stoves are smaller than the opening cut in the existing counter. I got several estimates and Mogastone was the best value and the counter top looks great! The crew they sent installed the counter top quickly and professionally.

Worse customer service experience in years! Mogastone would not tell us price per sf installed - they wanted to quote a 'job price'. We would select a material and the salesperson keep saying it is 'in this price range'. We selected a granite and quartz option. Took us outside to look at remnants because we only needed about 20 sf for two vanities. *Turned out they could not provide us with quartz except for 3 types they have in stock. *Said granite or quartz remnants were same price so no savings, *They declined to order quartz for us, saying it didn't make sense for them financially for about 20 feet installed. *That left us with granite as the only option, which was in the '$50 range' for level 2, but when they priced the job it was $660 per vanity. He could not provide a good explanation for how it had jumped to $660 per vanity before sinks. Left us feeling like our job was too small for them to bother, that quartz is not an option for bathroom jobs because they won't order it and have few in stock, and that they didn't care if they had our business. We mentioned having gone to another site but wanted to look at more patterns, and he told us to go back if we were just thinking about the money. While we were there multiple other families left so we were not the only ones feeling this way. So rude!

It was a pleasant experience finding the perfect slab for my kitchen but shame on me for having it installed when the owners were out of the country. While choosing the slab I was shown a sample of how their precision equipment will cut the granite to follow the wall, yet I was left with sections that weren't even close. Some were 1/4 inch away then filled with caulk which dripped down my walls. There was a corner that looked like it was dropped it was so jagged. I had pits that were not filled that I had pointed out in their yard and was told they would be. I had a perfectly good garbage disposal that when my plumber came to reinstall it and the new faucet, he said it had been cracked adding another $300 plus to my project. I contacted the owners and when they returned from Europe they sent someone out to do repair work. They molded the jagged edge with epoxy to make it look like a corner. They scraped the caulk off my wall (and the paint) and filled the cracks between the counter and wall with epoxy that they "matched" (not quite) and they left a razor-blade and epoxy shavings on my floor. Who does that? The comment from Mogastone about the garbage disposal was "that's never happened before", well, there's always a first and it didn't have a crack prior to them removing it. The issue with the gaps is that now I am forced to put backsplash in areas I did not intend to. Finally, after the repairs were rigged, I never heard from them. Just not the kind of customer service I expected for the price I paid. I gave it 1 stars because I love the stone I picked.

The quote from Mogastone: "We don't want your business. The hell with you!" The backstory: In the showroom on Saturday afternoon, they assured us a "by Friday" installation. Since we were hosting a baby shower the following Saturday, we hired them even though their quote was the highest one we got BY FAR. On Monday they called to schedule a Thursday afternoon installation with a fallback date of Saturday. Fallback date? Nobody said there'd be a fallback date! Already things were taking a turn for the worse. But they made us feel optimistic about the Thursday timeslot, so we took it. On Thursday morning, I called to confirm the installation, and they said they'd let us know if they couldn't make it. I told them they could come as early or late as they needed. So far so good? Finally, 5 PM rolls around, and my wife calls to find out why they weren't there yet. That's when they informed her that they couldn't make it, and they'd have to come on Saturday morning instead. Since a Saturday installation was going to make things very tough for us, my wife pleaded with them to either come late Thursday evening or early on Saturday to give us as much time as possible between the installation and the party. Yes, my wife complained about having been assured an installation by Friday while in the showroom, but never once did she raise her voice or become unruly as I probably would have done. And even if she had, she still wouldn't have deserved what she got from them. At the end of the phone call, my wife got transferred to the manager. He didn't even wait for her to tell her story, he just hung up on her while he told her: "We don't want your business. The hell with you!" So now we'll have plywood for a countertop at our baby shower, and we'll have to be placed at the end of the queue at one of the more reasonably priced granite providers. Our experience went from "yes we can get it installed by Friday" to "the hell with you" in just five short days. Save yourself some money and the headache of working with this company. The reasonably priced granite store in Cary featured on HGTV's Love It or List It is just a couple miles away from Mogastone. That's where we'll be crawling back to now.
