Use caution when using this man. I called, explained our kitchen counter needs to this gentleman and politely asked for a quote. He then got very upset and started ranting and raving about quotes and prices. He then asked my timeline, I responded with out timeline (which by the way is incredibly reasonable) said good luck and then hung up. I'm not sure if this gentleman is aware of the number of granite/marble companies there are in this market, but you certainly can't treat customers this way and expect to have a thriving business.
If this is how he treats a prospective customer, I can't imagine how he would treat an actual customer.

After many months of looking and trying to find someone I could trust and have the style of cabinets and granite I was looking for.
I landed with counter top rock.
I called in and a woman named Laura took my phone call. Instantly I felt like I was talking to friend. The honesty and price sold me instantly. The owner even called me and thanked me for the business. Great quality, great prices. ❤️

Spend the extra money and go elsewhere for quality work and service! Even if it's a small kitchen or bathroom job! Heath is terrible to deal with and highly incompetent. The sink cut out made by Countertop Rock was several inches off from the sink base cabinet and there was no guidance or help on bathroom sink faucets or drain pipes, which was an issue because Countertop Rock cuts out the faucet holes and installs their own sinks. I bought what I thought were good faucets and drain pipes and found out they were the wrong type and Heath couldn't think of a way to fix it. After doing MY OWN research I was able to resolve it. It would have helped to have recommedations on preferred faucets and drain pipes but that'd be asking too much of an already inept individual. The installers who came to put in the countertop were nice and efficient. Hunter was communicative and as helpful as possible. This 1 star review is earned solely by Heath - Great job buddy, keep it up!

Recently used Countertop Rock for new counters in a kitchen, and two bathrooms, and 100% will be using them again in the future. They were a referral from a friend (for whom they've done counters in two of his houses), and I was not disappointed. I received multiple quotes from other countertop companies, Home Depot, Lowes, etc, and Countertop Rock was not only among the lowest priced, they were able to get the counters installed in two weeks (and the home is about 1.5 hours outside of Phoenix, requiring additional consideration!). Other companies quoted out 4-8 weeks, and significantly higher in cost.
At their showroom in Tempe, there was plenty of great selection, and Hunter (our sales rep) was very easy to work with, and communicated well via phone and text. There was excellent communication throughout the process, and when there was a snag, the owner (I believe it's Joe..my apologies if incorrect) personally reached out to us. Very impressed by the attention to customer service.
Lastly, they did a great job, as the counters were difficult due to a "unique" design created by the original owners of my home. Seams were done perfectly, and the edges and cuts were made precisely. I highly, highly recommend this company and will be doing counters with them on my next home.

Had a great experience when talking over the phone and through email with the owner. Very prompt and professional. The exact opposite could be said of his main guy, Heath. Sadly he was the one I worked with when it came to the actual job. Most days didn't show up till the afternoon. One day he rescheduled at 1pm. One day he didn't show up at all. Called and texted with no reply. Finally, at 330 in the afternoon he answered his phone to say something came up. No apology for being disrespectful of my time. Missed 2 days of work for nothing. To top it off he wrote down the wrong measurements and I've got a counter 9" shorter than we discussed. Again no apology. I should have measured myself, before signing the contract. On the positive side, the other installers were friendly and respectful. Price was competitive.

Joe and the team installed new counter tops in our kitchen. There were some bumps along the way; outlets had to be raised, cook top wiring got messed up, and the job took longer than we would have liked, but Joe provided a discount for the issues we had, and the final result is outstanding. My wife and I are happy customers.

CTR has the best INTEGRITY and remained transparent whole heartedly with our best interest in mind. Can't say enough for all of their employees, Hunter, Josh and now Abigail that have walked us through these past 14 painful months of PURE STRESS!! I ordered cabinets from some local yahoo wholesaler....THE START OF OUR FAMILY NIGHTMARE! I should of just canceled and went with Joe from CTR but I didn't want to pay a 30% restocking fee for canceling our order with those yahoos.... I truly have lived to regret that decision!!! I should of ran... ran so fast and far from that wholesaler... they lack experience, integrity and most of all they have zero customer service!! We had to seek legal advice against that other company!! It was a nightmare!! Finally 14 months later not only is CTR coming to the rescue to save our family from this nightmare but they are beyond caring and kind to us. I can not SCREAM LOUD ENOUGH HOW WE APPRECIATE CTR!! The wisdom that Abigail has and her work ethic in pressing me to think of life in the kitchen while laying out a kitchen professionally is priceless!! Abigail's experience is far better then any big house HD or Lowe's rep ever. We have been on this endeavor for 14 months and spoke to so many people, take it from this mom of 6, I will save you the headache and heartache, CTR is the only way to go. You are in good hands with CTR! Do NOT fall for the wholesale warehouse lies...RUN TO CTR! I can finally see light at the end of this tunnel! Thank you CTR for always staffing reputable employees that are so knowledgeable. They all looked at my bad install and knew immediately that it was a full replacement needed from day 1. That is exactly what the ROC granted us as well. So glad we get to have CTR install our kitchen, restores our faith with a real contractor, we know it will be built with integrity!!! Will post our beautiful kitchen after CTR installs Cabinets and Quartz countertops! Thanks CTR! You are our family contractor forever!

Literally just wants to help us make our project work. I recently remodeled my kitchen, and based on a recommendation from my nephew, I went to Countertop Rock for my quartz countertops. This company is one of the best recommendations I have ever received. From day one it was obvious that customer service was their top priority. Joe, the owner is hands on and his staff is beyond excellent. I had a slight problem (a supplier problem) with the first piece of quartz installed and Joe intervened to make things right and assure I was happy. I didn't have to do a thing. He took it upon himself to fix the situation. Everyone who works there has an excellent knowledge of the products they sell, is incredibly professional and takes pride in their work. In addition they were all very personable. I was amazed at how they took the extra time to clean up after the installation so you'd never know I had just replaced the countertops. Wish I could give more than 5 stars because Countertop Rock deserves more than 5 stars. Thank you Joe, Heath, and Joe the installer. You guys are amazing. I will definitely recommend Countertop Rock to anyone who's remodeling/updating their house.

We have never had other than the best customer service from Countertop Rock (Joe and his team) and have freely referred them to our friends with the same experience. Granite slabs are hard to vision as they are natural stone and do contain fissures. The installers work very hard to design those natural fissures in the layout of the countertops in order to minimize attention. Sounds like some folks end up with buyers remorse that no contractor can control. If you are that fussy, stick with corian or formica.

My wife and I had a tremendous experience with Countertop Rock. It started when we met with Anthony Thomas at his office. He was extremely knowledgeable and professional. There were numerous countertop samples on site. Once we picked a sample, Anthony was able to work the installation in to our very tight schedule. The installation team came to the home on time on the scheduled day of installation and did an outstanding job. They were courteous, professional and asked us questions to make sure the install met our every expectation. They were even gracious enough to cut a bathroom countertop that we previously had on site, at no additional cost. We could not be happier with the quality of the product, the cost, or the Countertop Rock team of professionals. We would highly recommend Countertop Rock to anyone looking for a positive, no pressure, affordable experience.

Anthony Thomas with Countertop Rock takes pride in what he does. I just built a brand new custom home and out of the numerous companies and contractors that came in, over the last 12 months, Anthony and Countertop Rock far surpassed all in customer service and delivered product. This build has been on of the worst experiences due to lack of caring and service with most of the other numerous contractors. BUT, Anthony and Countertop Rock delivered as promised. His follow up and follow through skills, AMAZING. I am a professional who owns her own business and expect a lot out of people I pay my hard earned money to. I achieved the same high level of service with Anthony as I would give my own clients in a very professional industry. They fabricated and installed my product in a 1 week turnaround.... By the way, this IS unheard of in this industry especially on a custom home of 4300sq ft with a ridiculous amount of counter space. Its only because of Anthony and Medi who care about their customers and their experience that I give them 5 Stars. Thank you for making my home beautiful guys!

We got new granite countertops from this business about 5 years ago. I *highly* recommend them. They are prompt, polite, and respectful of their customers' time and belongings. They show up when they say they will, and if your job has any potential problems, they will let you know. Their work is beautiful - we got exactly what we wanted, down to the smallest detail, with precise seams that are hardly visible. And their prices are GREAT!
Our job was not straightforward. Our cabinets were put in by a lazy, careless general contractor who has since had his business license revoked for incompetence. He was supposed to put in the counters too but dropped the ball, leaving us to find our own company. When Countertop Rock came to measure and give us a quote, they told us our countertops were crooked, and that our granite could crack if placed on cabinets with that much variance. We thanked them, got the cabinets leveled, and went to their warehouse in the meantime to pick out the actual slabs of granite they would use to fabricate our counters. They came back out to verify everything was OK, then installed our granite. The undermount sinks, the seams, the oddly shaped corners, everything is beautiful and exactly the way we wanted. Even five years later it is still looking like new.
I don't have a lot of good memories of my kitchen remodel, but this company is one of them! Go with these guys - you won't be sorry.

I thought I had removed this review many years ago. My bad, but since we are still assessing how the business is run, just checkout a reply eleven years later. Yes, it is about a charge, which was more than 30.00, but how would you feel if a business comes and says it's more than quoted and you are charged (totally unknowingly) extra fees. Read the review, Mr business owner. I said nothing about the product, just the surprise charge at the end. Any "good" business man would apologize for the miscommunication and refund the surprise charge.
I'm just sharing how the business treated me. Do you remember offering me more than $100 to remove my review?? Probably not. Now I'll leave the review for your new customers to educate them on a simple fee that should be communicated by you. I'm may remove it later. Hope business is good. Cheers.
One final note. Look how Joe R. (Business owner) responds to any valid negative feedback. So unprofessional.

Initial impression wasn't bad and had them out for a full estimate. HIgher than we were led to believe initially, but liked Hunter. Joe, the owner couldn't have seemed less interested in us. Found out by talking to other contractors that Countertop Rock was charging us over $400 each above their cost for our slabs. No other contractor did that. We were led to believe they'd save us money because the had their own fabrication shop.....yeah right. When asked about the markup on the slabs, initial response was to protect them if they damaged a slab and had to replace it (that's my problem?). I said fine, and if you don't damage any you'll return the overcharge to me. Then the tune became "we're entitled to make a profit"...companies that don't charge more for labor" ....Nonsense. We used 5 slabs, and the excellent work we had done by an excellent fabricator was $400+ dollars times 5 less than these guys. Don't get taken advantage of....
And now Joe the owner decides to get personal AND lie. We NEVER asked for cheapest anything and in fact we didn't have a budget but would spend what we had to for what we wanted........He's showing his true personality I guess. In high school I learned "Caveat Emptor" in Latin class......it means buyer beware.....I'm done with this guy and his lies and name calling. Which it seems is how he responds to every negative review........lol

Contacted this company for a bathroom countertop & sink redo. Joe said he would send me a photo of a piece of quartz the size I needed. He never sent the photo nor did he respond to 3 messages left on his phone. If he was too busy to do a small job, a phone call to that affect would have been appropriate in my estimation. Call him but don't be surprised if you are ignored.....just a word of caution.

Firstly, my wife recently selected a very nice granite to finish off our brand new kitchen. The granite itself is certainly impressive. The issue we have is not with the stone - it's with the installation and horrid customer service once we voiced our concerns.
Allow me to elaborate. Installation day 6/19, crew arrived and started working. We stayed out of their way although we had a separate contractor doing a floor trim repair for about 10 minutes. One of the Countertop Rock crew members asked me to look at something...
"How do you want me to handle this?" he asks referring to the back splash. The walls are clearly not straight. I asked, "Isn't this why we had someone survey the kitchen and measure it? ...to prevent this from happening in the first place. Perhaps, make a template?" I called the company and inquired about the measurements and fit issues. We discussed seaming the back splash, but the installer simply flexed the piece and epoxied it in place. Caulk was used to fill in the gaps. I have no real issue with this remedy - the walls are indeed not straight.
Upon the final stages of clean-up, I noticed a trim piece on the dining room table. I asked, "Um, what about this?" Guy says, "Oh, we had to remove it to trim it to make the granite fit. We forgot to put it back on. They grabbed a hammer and pounded in the nails still protruding from the cabinet used to hold the piece on. They proceeded to silicone the trim piece back into place. Silicone oozed out in three spots. The trimmed piece doesn't exactly flatter the eye.
Furthermore, we noted adhesive all over the marble floor, laminate floor, thresh hold, and front stoop concrete, along with some on the front door itself. Additionally, the front door was scratched in two places when the granite was carried in. Minor, yes. Professional, no.
We also discovered that one of our brand new kitchen cabinets had been broken during the installation. My wife stowed her Crock Pot in the new cabinet. I was checking it out and immediately noted the broken cabinet.
Today, 6/21 the crew returned to clean up the concrete. Before answering the door, one of the two was scrubbing the concrete with an abrasive pad and lacquer thinner - the only problem is the concrete now has irregular scrubbed spots which are still stained. There are clear shoe prints in two of the spots. During the "clean-up", one of the same crew members spilled lacquer thinner all over the marble floor. (See profile images. They speak volumes about the type of people you will have in YOUR home.)
I pointed out the adhesive on the front door. The guy starts picking at it. I told him not to touch it assuming he'd start scrubbing on the door with the lacquer thinner - something typically used to remove paint in certain situations. At that point, I simply asked them to stop as they were clearly making a bad situation worse.
I called the owner to express our disappointment. To his credit he did visit the property. However, he quickly dismissed our concerns as, the job is perfect." and "...it's to code." "The cabinet is not broken. It's the melamine strip that the countertop is mounted to... I've been doing this for 15 years..."
I'm furious at this point knowing full well the brand new cabinet was NOT broken before the countertop installation. The owner, replied during his visit, "No one will ever see it. It's not broken. I looked at it with my own eyes..."
I guess that makes me a 'no one' as I saw it and recognized the issue instantly. And so too will the new owners. Instead of making it right, the owner proceeded to argue the point that it's NOT broken.
Let the pictures speak for themselves. (click my profile to view them). It's broken and he refuses to accept the responsibility.
We also noted the hole for the faucet is NOT centered on the sink by about 3/8" left of center. "The faucet is perfect. I can't even see it." Again, see the pictures for yourself.
And still more... On the granite itself, numerous spots of adhesive could easily be found. Owner's response, "Just take a razor blade to it. It will come right off." Okay, call me silly, but shouldn't we as PAYING customers expect the installation crew to actually 'finish' the job??? Care and maintenance, sure. Finishing YOUR job for you - NO.
Where's the sense of pride? Where's the sense of customer satisfaction? You preach about how long you've been doing this yet, we're still completely unsatisfied. In fact, we're a bit taken a back by your flat out denial of breaking the cabinet.
Am I making this up? See the images.
In his exact words, "The job is perfect!"
I would hate to see a bad job. I guess 15 years of doing something doesn't mean you've been doing it right.
Please see my profile for images of this "Perfect job."

From the beginning we knew we shouldn't do business with them. Outside of the questionable customer service, they also managed to "lose" our order, taking an additional week to cut our granite. Once installed we noticed a huge crack where the faucet hole had been drilled. Heath came out (30 minutes later than scheduled appointment time) and concluded it was a natural fissure, after our contractor had already told us it was not. He then proceeded to point out every natural fissure in the granite to compare, none of which were the same. I would advise using a different fabricator if at all possible. You have a choice as a consumer.

Does Countertop Rock offer cutouts for sinks, cooktops, or other elements?
Yes, like most professional contractors in the market, Countertop Rock performs cutouts and countertop preparation for various components — both standard and modern. According to our findings, these services are typically included in the overall project estimate. The standard scope usually covers cutouts for sinks (undermount, drop-in, or farmhouse) and holes for faucets or other plumbing fixtures. Additional cutouts — such as for cooktops, hidden or pop-up outlets, built-in wireless chargers, or other accessories — are discussed individually at the project planning and estimating stage.
It’s important to note that while the cutouts and countertop preparation are usually performed by the company, the installation of electrical and plumbing fixtures (such as faucets, outlets, or appliances) may not be included in their scope of work and could require licensed professionals. We recommend clarifying this point when placing your order.
To avoid misunderstandings, ask for a detailed estimate with a breakdown of all services: cutout pricing, installation, and any add-on options. This will ensure project transparency and help you clearly understand what you're paying for.
What guarantees does Countertop Rock provide for its work?
According to our information and industry practice, Countertop Rock, like most participants in the ranking, provides a workmanship warranty valid for 1 year from the date of countertop installation. This period is usually specified in the contract. We do not rule out that the company may have extended warranty terms (2 years or more), however, during our research, we did not receive confirmed data from the contractor regarding the duration and scope of its warranty.
The contractor’s warranty covers defects in fabrication and installation, such as uneven or separating seams, leveling and fastening issues, detachment or sagging of an undermount sink, flaws in edge finishing and cutouts, premature failure of seam materials, and cutouts that do not match the approved design. Warranty coverage does not include damage from use (thermal shock/burn marks from hot cookware, chips or cracks caused by impacts), stains and acid etching (for marble), wear due to insufficient maintenance or lack of sealing, natural characteristics of stone (veins, micro-pores, variations in shade/pattern within tolerances), shifts caused by base deformation, or any modifications performed by third parties.
The material warranty is provided by the manufacturer or the official stone supplier. Engineered quartz brands often offer a limited “lifetime” warranty for residential properties (subject to registration and compliance with care guidelines). For sintered surfaces, typical warranty periods range from 10 to 25 years. Natural stone usually does not come with a factory warranty — its quality of fabrication and installation is covered by the contractor’s warranty. The term and scope of the warranty depend on the project and materials — contact Countertop Rock in any convenient way on this page to get the current terms.
