I have used Coliseum tile for three projects now!. I was thrilled to meet Niko for our biggest project which consisted of three bathrooms. a laundry room and a large kitchen, plus bar backsplash. He is extremely knowledgable, and quickly understood the style I was after. He was extremely patient and has a great personality with a warm sense of humor He was always easy to communicate with, and got back to me quickly. He often sent me suggestions via text or email when I needed them.This was very helpful when my brain was overloaded with decision making! He also has a great eye for color. There is really no reason at all to be using a designer if you use Niko. I would imagine in their new showroom, where they have a lot more space, and a great new front desk, they will have roles amongst staff more clearly defined, as in regards to some other reviews, I too thought an individual or two were not cut out for the planning, design, and quotes, but more suited for order accounts and delivery. I am giving five stars to Niko and Coliseum Tile! Thank-you.

As a designer, I should have known better than to try and design my own bathrooms. It took me 4 months of looking at tiles at every location I could find in a 50 mile radius before I finally landed at Coliseum tile for the last 2 months of my search. I have the absolute pleasure of working with Niko. He was so patient with me. I went back and forth to his showroom at least a dozen times. Each time, for the most part, pointing my design in a different direction. He was knowledgeable of all his products and if they did not have something I wanted to see, he ordered it without a blink. One thing that really pushes me away from flooring and tile stores is how pushy the sales people can be and how they want a crazy deposit each time I borrow tiles. As a designer, I know that each sample is free. I know that all you have to do is reach out to the manufacture and they will happily send you a sample. I appreciate that with all the samples I requested to take home there was no deposit required. I returned all samples and exchanged them for new ones regularly. In the end, we ordered then picked up our tiles within a week. One of the tiles had more variation in it than expected and Niko quickly presented a solution which remedied our problem in less than 24 hours. I highly recommend working with Niko specifically and their prices were great as well!

As the Owner/Designer of RL Design, a residential interior design business that specializes in kitchen and bath design, I collaborate with vendors to help my clients with their projects. The product vendors that I choose to work with have to carry a wide range of products, be conveniently located and must be able to give my clients and I great customer service. Coliseum Tile Kitchen and Bath meets all these criteria and I have been working with them for years. Niko Hurley is excellent at what he does. He and I have collaborated on many projects. He is exceedingly knowledgeable, helpful and when problems arise, willing to help resolve the issues. As proof of his dedication, he continued to help my client and I over the Christmas holidays when he was out of the country on vacation! They have recently moved to a new location and have expanded their product offerings to include cabinetry. I intend to avail myself of this new service. I had a great experience with Coliseum Tile and in particular with Fikret, the store manager. I was able to purchase a beautiful Cambria stone for my countertop and not only got better price than in other stores but also secured the last two slabs available. Fikret stored them for me for 2 months until I was ready for fabrication as well as arranged a delivery to my fabricator. He was very responsive and followed up on all my emails and phone calls. I would not hesitate to order from them again in the future.

I had a fantastic experience at Coliseum Tile. Niko was super helpful and knowledgeable. He showed me many different options after I told him what aesthetic I was going for, and then helped me narrow down my choices. He has great taste so he helped me with my design dilemmas as well. No question was too trivial and he took the time help me with every detail down to the grout color, schleuter, etc. He always got back to me as quickly as he could and he always went the extra mile to help me out. I also appreciated that he trusted me as an honest customer - he would let me take samples home and didn’t chase me for deposits or payments. I highly recommend Niko and would definitely go back to work with him for any future house projects!

We are currently redoing our entire house. We visited several stone and tile business to select tile and flooring for our home. I live in the area and happened to drive by Coliseum Tile one day. Let me start by saying they have an amazing selection of any tile you can imagine. A locally owned small business that provides professional and one stop shop for all services. We were helped by Rachel! Let's just say she is truly talented and amazing! My husband and I are so undecisive and wanted everything just perfect! We have a baby and honestly didn't have time to do all the picking and choosing. Rachel guided us through the ENTIRE process. She made a very stressful project so smooth for us. Let me say that again she truly made an extremely stressful project SOOOO SMOOTH for us. We started off with Rachel helping us choose Hardwood Flooring (Riva) She helped us pick the color and the grade. She gave us samples to take home and test out until we picked the right one. She made us walk back and forth on their second floor until we felt we had chosen the right grade. A couple days later she helped us design our 3 bathrooms... from tile selection, recommendations to slippery vs non slippery to color combinations. She did it all! She helped us numerous times until we got the right color tile! Let's say we probably made 5 different design changes for every bathroom and about 50 trips into the store and she was extremely patient with us! Finally, we redid our kitchen and she recommended we visit their other store in Pacheco to do our cabinets. We ended up buying (Medallion Cabinets) and from their other location. Rachel again coming in to save the day helped us pick our quartz and backsplash. I highly recommend Medallion Store to anyone looking to remodel their home. It's truly a gem store waiting to make your dream home vision come to life. We truly appreciate the personalized service. And of course I highly recommend Rachel! She went above and beyond to help me in choosing all the items necessary for my project! We are beyond grateful for Rachel and beyond grateful for Coliseum Tile.

I worked with Sid at Coliseum Tile. Unfortunately the manufacturer sent a different tile than I ordered. Sid contacted the manufacturer and made sure they followed through and sent the correct tile. He was very responsive and made sure I was taken care of. They have an awesome selection of tile, countertops, flooring, etc. I would highly recommend them, their products and their customer service. This is not the biggest tile store, does not have the biggest selection, but we go to Coliseum because they have tiles styles that you cannot find in the more run of the mill stores or home improvement stores. If you are looking for modern styles or really cool unique tiles, start here. They can refer tile setters as well. I pulled a couple of names from their list and ended up using Juan Castro. He did an excellent job, is quite the craftsman.

From our first visit, Carlos listened to our broad wishes and helped us narrow down choices. He heard and understood what was important to us and guided us to certain products. Even though we have not yet received our shipment, wanted to go ahead and rate this place just for the service and experience. They have great selection of tiles and excellent Customer service. We went to numerous tile places, but couldn't find anything to our liking, until we stepped in Coliseum Tile. My wife explained Lea (we found her to be very knowledgeable) about the cabinets and Granite color etc and she just went and picked up THE perfect tile for our kitchen back splash. They were very helpful in designing our master bathroom from the ground up, Kitchen and tile, of which they have a great selction, for the kids bathroom. We went to several tile stores but came back for the selection and customer service. We had some delay on a couple of the tiles but Niko followed through and made sure this all happened in a timely manner. We live in San Mateo (35 miles from San Ramon) and after a nightmare experience with our local flooring company Bay .... ....., we decided to go with Coliseum Tile per a friend's recommendation. Needless to say, it was a great decision. We had the pleasure of working with Daisy. Not only is she kind, courteous and extremely knowledgeable, she's reasonable and fair as well. After various problems with the original tile we ordered, due to the manufacturer (not Coliseum Tile), Daisy accommodated us by providing a full refund and placed an order for a completely different tile. Our kitchen looks like something out of a design magazine. It was more than worth the trek to San Ramon to receive the service and quality tile we purchased from Coliseum Tile. She helped us define what we wanted, and made the whole experience a pleasure. There was no pressure to go out of our budget, and she really helped us with her knowledge and experience. This is the best place to shop for tile, stone and hardwood! The staff is super friendly and knowledgable. They have the most expansive selection of tile and stone and hardwood! The showroom is stunning and u are sure to find what u are looking for! And the prices are fair and competitive with other places. I've worked with Daisy and Chris and they were both great! I won't shop anywhere else for tile and stone!! I've checked out other shops to see if I come across better prices and selection, but I always come back to coliseum tile bc they are unbeatable! After searching many different tile stores, we were very surprised with the price differences for the same exact tiles, and found Coliseum very competitive with selection and pricing. The sales team, Niko & Lea, were so vital in our selection process. They helped us choose tile within our budget, assisted in the design process by giving us their honest opinions and experience. They were also very patient, from my many visits to the store (with kids in tow) and phone calls. I was always greeted with a friendly smile, treated with great customer service (the owner would even help carry my many tile samples to & from my car), the delivery always came in as scheduled, and they made ordering tile very painless. We just completed 2 bathroom remodels and an update to our kitchen in our recently purchased home in Alamo. I had a last minute one tile need at the end of the day and I was helped right away. They even helped me cut the tile to the size I needed without any extra wait. One phone call from the owner and I was walked over to the cutting building by the sales person and a cutter was waiting to help me. Best customer service around!! I am definitely going back to Coliseum Tile when i have a bigger project and I highly recommend you to visit them to see if they can help with your tile need. I am sure happy I did.

Coliseum Tile in San Ramon is my #1 tiling store. From now on if I need to buy tiles - I will go to this store directly. ...I can be disagreeable and hard to please, but Nicko and Milan were great as was everyone else. I love this store. I am done remodeling for awhile I hope, but I would recommend Coliseum Tile. I too did not shop around. I found what I wanted by a search on Google, unfortunately, due to a time crunch and a husband that didn't want to pay for marble, Milan found us something else that looks fantastic. I have used another store down the road and they were OK. They promise that anyone can help. That was not the case at the other store, but was my experience at Coliseum Tile. Plus, they also referred us to a perfectionist tile person. The last sealant goes on tomorrow. There were a few glitches, but I always found a smiling face a person willing to help whenever, I walked in. We tiled two bathrooms and covered two counter tops with a substitute stone product. I can hardly wait for the finished product.

Love this store! They have truly unique and large selection! We were remodeling our bathrooms and just didn't want to go for generic Home Depot look, so after spending hours on driving from one tile showroom to another in the area and realizing that most of them have more or less the same inventory from China, we were ready to give up. One of our friends suggested this place and at first we through it is going to be same as others, but we were totally blown away by it. The showroom is beautifully decorated and sales staff is very friendly and helpful. The tile, we selected, was available right away for delivery and this saved us a lot of time! Our bathrooms look stunning and we are constantly getting complements. Next is our kitchen and we are getting all the tile for it from Coliseum Tile! There is just no other place like it! Highly recommend it!

Like one of the previous reviewers, I had previously used Walker Zanger for a bathroom remodel. After I was soured in the fact that WZ didn't want to give me any discount off the full retail price a search for a new tile place began. After stops to several other shops in the East Bay, I went to Coliseum Tile (they have a second location in San Ramon). I knew exactly what I wanted and they beat everyone with their prices. They were even willing to price match with Import Tile. I will use them again for our next remodeling project.

After trying every showroom in the bayarea we ended up buying most of our tile here. Better pricing much better service than import tile. Most of what you see has to be ordered. But unlike other companies they can get everything really fast. They were also nice enough to take tile back of which we had bought too much. Talk to Hakan or Daisy.

I was a fan of Walker Zanger for a bath remodel from 6+ years ago. I have now moved on from WZ after a couple of failed attempts at choosing tile with them for more recent projects. Their customer service (CS) is really lacking but I stuck it out bc of the beautiful although pricey tile (CS goes down further when they find out you are interested in the clearance tile). Anywho, bc of this experience I've been in search of a new resource and was recommended Coliseum Tile. Quite surprised that this is the first review. Daisy has been with them for years & is awesome at helping put together tile for a project. She is your go to person! Hakum was also very helpful & PATIENT in handling my numerous phone calls after we discovered there was a shortage of tile by 2 pieces due to a project change. He was able to round up these pieces at another distributor and save us a week of wait time!! Their prices are also very competitive & they were spot on with estimating delivery times. It is well worth the drive to visit Coliseum Tile for the amazing selection of glass, porcelain, & stone! A couple of my favorite manufacturers include AKDO, Vogue Bay & Atlas Concorde all carried by Coliseum Tile.

I had a very good experience with Nico at Coluseum Tile. I knew exactly what I wanted so it was a very straightforward ordering process. Their prices were significantly lower than the other places I looked at for the pre fab counters. There was some confusion here and there and I had to make a few extra phone calls but I blame this on my situation. I live in LA and had to do almost all the job via telephone. So I think Nico and the staff at Coluseum deserve credit for their good work.

I had a good experience with Coliseum tile. I found them to be better priced then some of their competitors close by. But the main reason I'm writing a review is that I had a problem with my installer in that he broke too many of my travertine tiles and then tried to put in replacement tiles that were not from the same batch of travertine... so they looked way different. I was really upset with the situation and probably didn't come across in the nicest way to Mieten who was my contact at Coliseum Tile. Instead of firing back at me, he made sure that he worked with me until the problem was adequately solved. I really appreciated that. He did a great job at taking a potentially explosive situation and making it all good.

The sales staff is very good but we came up short on tile and its been weeks since we placed the order and stil no tile. Beware: order extra material or else be prepared to wait weeks to get what you need to finish the job. If they tell you 3-4 days to get more material, don't believe it. Also, the suppliers they use have no idea when the stuff leaves their warehouse as they do not provide a tracking status. This means you have to keep calling Coliseum Tile and asking for an update. Each time we called the delivery date was pushed out. Overall experience was not that great. There are other/bettter options in the Tri-valley

After shopping around at a couple other places, I realized I over paid. In comparison to the other places this place was the highest priced. I purchased my tiles (Diana Royal mosaic) here and received great customer service from Lea. Their selection and variety were plentiful. They have expertise in design and a lot of knowledge on their products. I really appreciated her help. (Master bathroom)
