We have worked with Cabinets etc. twice now and could not be more pleased with the experience and the results! The first time was almost twenty years ago, for a complete kitchen remodel. Keith helped design/measure/conceptualize the whole area. We have only been happy with the choices made back then. Fast forward to this year -- We had excessive water damage to our kitchen, and everything had to be redone through insurance. Thank the Lord for Keith! He was a lifesaver! Keith drew up the new plans and helped us increase the functionality of our space even more. Every cabinet has a plan and function and reason for why and where it is. When the contractors ran into trouble with the installation, Keith responded immediately and advised them regarding exactly what needed to be done. We're so grateful for Keith's communication and prompt responses throughout this whole stressful journey. The project would have lagged an extra month if it wasn't for Keith and Lisa, who made sure we got our cabinets ordered and delivered as quickly as possible. I will happily and confidently refer Cabinets etc., ESPECIALLY KEITH, to anyone with a cabinet project -- big or small. We are forever grateful for their attention to detail and consistent communication.

Cabinets etc took the difficulty out of a kitchen remodel. They had a good selection of cabinets and I liked what I picked out. They did the measurements, quick shipment and they had fair pricing. If you are in need of new cabinets I would recommend them

I have used Cabinets etc. for most of my many kitchen remodels and here is why: Keith, who is the owner personally measures everything before ordering, Keith has many suppliers to choose from which is enough to cover almost any anything, Keith knows what all the options are for hardware and can tell immediately if there is room for those pull outs for example. I believe that when you find someone who consistently comes through when needed that you should stick with them and I have found that this is Keith at Cabinets etc. Thank you, Andy Frasheski

I contacted Keith because there were problems with some kitchen cabinet doors in our kitchen. Somehow they had water damage and the paint was coming off . Keith was wonderful. We needed eight replacement doors. But it turned out that the manufacturer was discontinuing that particular color within a few days. We didn't know that, of course. Keith expedited everything to make sure we got the order in just under the wire. Keith's pricing was very fair. The doors were delivered on time as we had been expecting. I definitely recommend Keith as being responsive, professional, and really committed to making sure we could get what we wanted in just a few days time. He made it easy to work with him. Thanks, Keith!

After going to cabinets etc talking to Keith was a truly enlightening experience. We didn't end up using cabinents etc, as they didn't have the brand we were looking for, but I'd highly recommend calling or visiting them. They had a ton of expertise, and were really helpful, I wouldn't hesitate to use them in the future.

Summary: friendly, knowledgeable and good value; absolute pleasure working with Brian on a kitchen remodel. I helped my mother in law with a major kitchen remodel last year and got lots of cabinet quotes, recognizing that the cabinets were going to be the major material cost. After getting high-end quotes from custom carpentry to higher end brand names, I made an appointment here, since I drive by the showroom in Castro Valley often, but had no expectations on what I would find. We met with Brian Martinelli, bringing a rough sketch of the existing layout, and explained what we were hoping to achieve by reconfiguring the peninsula to a center island. Brian understood our vision immediately and whipped up a digital layout within minutes. When we explained that we were hoping to save on costs, he was absolutely understanding and recommended the Waypoint line (assembled & painted in Arizona), which was a good fit for our budget and quality expectations. Though Waypoint has fewer color and design options, they had what we were looking for at a better price. He was able to leverage a few seasonal specials to save us some money, and we walked out the door about an hour later with a realistic quote and a strong feeling that we had found our kitchen cabinets. Brian came out not long after that to take final measurements and put together a final layout draft. We were happy with the factory-provided color choices for our cabinets and moved forward. At the time, I had been planning to hire out subcontractors for the labor & installation but changed my mind and was able to get some great general contractor recommendations from Brian. He gave us a handful of names he worked with often in the area, and we were really glad he connected us with our eventual general contractor, who was a joy to work with. We did run into a hiccup with one incorrect cabinet size, but I was able to get a hold of Brian over the phone immediately, and he confirmed that this was a mistake on the part of the factory, who sent over the wrong size. He put in a rush order for that last cabinet to arrive, and he kept in constant contact to update us as we waited on the final piece. Brian also helped us about a month later to order some additional molding in the same color as the gray island to finish off the flooring, communicating promptly over email. Overall, a year later, we're very happy with the quality of the cabinets for the price. We have no regrets about the cabinet line, color, layout that we went with. Brian gave valuable input regarding the layout of drawers and organization that we appreciated. Planning to return when we have another project!

They have a good selection of American made cabinets. Brian did a great job in helping us choose the right brand for us, guide us on design and layout of our kitchen, and most importantly continues to provide us with service in regards to service and questions on our new cabinets. They have decades of experience that was fruitful in helping us with our layout. Worth the drive from anywhere in Bay Area and they made a house call to review measurements and layout.

We just finished a project that included replacing old kitchen cabinets and countertops. Brian Martinelli helped us not only select new kitchen cabinets, but also described to us the whole process in detail, as well as suggested how to make it as short and painless as possible. Since we were new to the process, this was extremely helpful! Brian patiently spent hours with us while we changed our selection a few times. He recommended a solution that not only worked perfectly for us, but also saved us money. Brian also referred us to a great construction company. It was a great pleasure working with Brian, since he is a knowledgeable professional and a very pleasant person. We would not hesitate recommending him to anyone!

We had a flood in our house and therefore became accidental remodelers. After checking out a couple of places, we called Cabinets Etc. after a friend from work recommended them. I met with Keith, who was fantastic. He was polite, very knowledgeable, and very helpful. He personally came out to the house to take measurements and then created a design. Because insurance was paying for the remodel, I had to get a couple of quotes. Keith's pricing was very fair and was actually less than that of a big box store. He answered all questions and was super supportive throughout the process. We love our new kitchen. I absolutely recommend this wonderful family owned business.

What a great family owned company. Brian is very helpful with the ordering process and the quality of the cabinets are superb. We ordered a vanity from them, it came earlier than expected and within 5 business days! Right size and configuration. They were also very quick to answer any questions. Price also very reasonable for the quality.

Brian Martinelli of Cabinets Etc is an absolute gem of a person. He is very knowledgeable about the Cabinets - the different brand names. We first tried with Waypoint and then we thought we will also check Diamond Cabinets. He redesigned every thing without charging anything for that. Other contractors were going to charge us $250 or more. He spent a lot of time with us even before we placed the order. During our Kitchen remodel, my wife called him every week (sometimes more often) with questions and he always answered them (some of them were not related to the cabinets). They were in construction business before, so they can give you a lot of information about the related aspects of the kitchen. He also saved us a lot of money by finding the special promotions from the cabinet manufacturer and got us $400 gift card from the manufacturer. In future, He will be the only person we will talk to for any cabinet needs. Thanks Brian for all your help.

There is no better service anywhere! And I looked around. Keith is detail-oriented and can advise you based on his many years of experience. This place is amazing! The showroom is very nice and welcoming. We found several options for new cabinets and the custom design on their computer generated program to get a custom fit is free. The place is family owned by two brothers and their sister. They made the whole process stress free. There prices are very reasonable.

Keith helped design a completely new kitchen with my designer. We ordered all the kitchen, laundry, and bathroom cabinets from him. Keith made this process painless and stress free. We had to get this done in a rush and he was gracious enough to take on this challenge even though he had tons of other clients to tend to. WE LOVE OUR CABINETS SO MUCH! Thanks for everything!

After being disappointed by the low quality and choices of the budget places and the ridiculous prices and (still) limited choices of the high-priced vendors, it was such a relief to go to Cabinets Etc! Brian Martinelli was so knowledgeable and helpful; the choices were amazing; and the prices so reasonable that we could not believe them. But there was no catch, just good quality cabinets at very reasonable prices (we bought the Waypoint cabinets). Best of all, Brian and his recommended installer took careful note of all defects (mostly minor) and made sure that we got replacement parts installed as soon as possible. These guys stand behind their quality, and it was a pleasure to work with them.

We had Keith Martinelli design our kitchen about a year ago. He was awesome!!! We had a funky layout and he came up with a design that not only met all our wants but also looked great! When people come over they always comment on how great the kitchen looks. He was the only designer who came up with a design that made our kitchen look fabulous. He helped us get the low VOC Huggy Bear Cabinets. It is a family business and his sister and brother also work there and were awesome!!! When problems came up, he would deal with them and work with us. We had Steve Evans and his son install the kitchen and they made it work and did an awesome job. It has been a year and we are still loving our kitchen and would highly recommend getting your cabinets through Cabinets Etc. with Keith. If you want to go green ask Keith and he can set you up with low VOC , beautiful cabinets at a reasonable price. Also, Keith is the master at design. We never thought our kitchen could look this good. Thank you Keith

Purchased Fieldstone semi-custom cabinets for a full kitchen remodel in 2015. I worked with Keith @ Cabinets Etc for my recent kitchen remodel and am extremely happy with the service provided and the product that I received. I had frustrating experiences at Home Depot and Sincere Home Decor and I wasn't convinced that the service I was getting or the products that they were offering were the best I could get in my price range. I did more research on various home remodeling boards and decided on Fieldstone Cabinets and found that Cabinet's Etc was the closest company that sells this brand in my area. I am so lucky I found them. I've never done a remodel job this big and I was acting as the GC on my project, so I really needed someone to provide a lot of guidance and honest feedback about cabinet quality and the process itself. Keith was a huge help and when he was not in the office, others in the shop were also always there to help me when I needed immediate assistance. That is not something you get at a big box store. These guys were great to partner with and were always there for me. Keith kept me appraised of the manufacturing and shipping timeline and when the cabinets arrived at my house (on time) Keith was there to check off the list and inspect for damages as they were unloaded off the truck. He also met with my contractor to go over the plans and elevations to ensure he was all set to go. Anytime we had a question or needed clarification, Keith was there to guide us through how he configured the plan/cabinets. Cabinets, Etc gets an A+++++++ for integrity and customer service AND they sell quality cabinetry at a great price. Am going to use them for my bathroom remodel job and recommend them without hesitation.

I cannot recommend Keith enough for help with any cabinet project. He helped us with the process of remodeling our kitchen from initial cabinet design to install. He respected our DIY attitude and was generous with his time and expertise in all areas of the kitchen remodel. He was also resourceful when our DIY hopes were dashed after finding out that our cabinet install was a bit more complicated than average. Our cabinets look wonderful and we are so happy with how the project turned out! I would drive from the far reaches of the Bay Area to work with Keith, but luckily he is just a few exits away from us. I would go back there for help with floors and carpeting if the need arises just because our cabinet experience was so stellar.

I had been visiting various suppliers looking for kitchen cabinets. My needs required some custom work or major adaptations of standard cabinets. If I went the custom route, I wanted something that was unique in style, not just something that fit in the space. Although I had lived in Castro Valley for many years, I was not aware of Cabinets Etc. until my windows supplier referred me to them as they were just upstairs. I spoke with Keith Martinelli extensively about my needs. While I was there, I noticed the striking lyptus wood cabinets that they had on display. The color and the grain were truly unique. The company that made these custom cabinets got the best quality imported wood from Weyerhaeuser. Cabinets Etc. had been working with the cabinet company for years. I lost track of how much time Keith spent with me, but he was never rushed. Not only did he come out to the house for measurements, but he came by to inventory the cabinets when they arrived and several times during the installation. Keith was not only able to design exactly what I wanted, but referred me to a contractor who had these cabinets in his own home and had worked on a similar house down the street from mine. He was simply superb and exceeded expectations. The installation went smoothly with no missing/needed or damaged parts. The cabinets were extremely well constructed with quality materials. Although I had not planned on getting a new refrigerator, I did so after the cabinets were ordered. Keith had designed the layout to fit in a bigger refrigerator. Everyone who has seen the kitchen have remarked how beautiful it looked. Even my daughter, who has worked with a home remodeling TV show, was impressed. As kitchen remodels are expensive, most people are concerned about the price of the cabinets. I got one quote that was lower and one that was higher, but none as unique as what I got nor did they come close to the service I got from Cabinets, Etc. I highly recommend them.

Keith at Cabinets Etc recently designed and supplied cabinets for our kitchen remodel. I will tell you several things about Keith. First of all, you will not find someone more knowledgeable about cabinets anywhere. Besides knowing everything about designing cabinets for all the different brands that he has been supplying for many years, before that he used to install cabinets. Before that his family manufactured cabinets. If there is some difficult space creating major problems for the designer and installer, he will figure out all of the details. The second thing we discovered about working with Keith is that he really listens. Not only does he listen, but he is able to come up with creative ideas and implement them. We were working within a limited budget and told him that we did not want any custom or fancy features. Because of his extensive knowledge, he figured out how to supply us with cabinets way better than we expected, including many built-in improvements. Because of promotional discounts which he could arrange, we were able to upgrade with the brand, the material, and the quality of the construction. Although we only ordered stock cabinets, he incorporated various filler pieces into the whole which are invisible, giving the entire kitchen a custom look at a stock price. Another thing we appreciated was that Keith was there from start to finish. He didn't disappear once he got paid. He showed up after the delivery process and checked every box to make sure we received the correct materials. Then halfway into the kitchen remodel, he came to our house for a few hours to explain to our contractor exactly how to install the trim pieces that he designed. In addition, he was constantly on call for us. If a problem showed up with a particular cabinet, he immediately offered to replace it. It turned out that none of this was necessary because he knew a number of tricks regarding the installation. Towards the end of the project we were short one trim piece. He special ordered it from South Dakota and it was delivered directly to our house, on a Saturday, right before the project ended. I would also like to mention that Keith was a very enjoyable person to work with and he genuinely seemed to want us to be happy with our kitchen from start to finish.

I was referred to Keith Martinelli at Cabinets Etc by a contractor friend. I am a single female and didn't know where to start with my kitchen remodel and my friend likened Keith to Nordstroms and assured me he would take very good care of me- which he did- from beginning to end. First by helping me decide on the cabinets I wanted- and his patience was unbelievable in that process :). Then by hooking me up with a phenomenal contractor. He also referred me to where I was able to get my quartz countertops at a great price and hire a very talented installer from that same business. Keith was attentive to my needs and oh so patient with my many questions and concerns throughout the whole process. After the install he came by to make sure everything was "just right". At that point he ordered 2 replacement cabinet doors for they both had minor flaws. When they came in, he again came by, this time to swap them out. Keith was always pleasant, courteous, and generous with his knowledge and time. He promptly answered my emails or texts. No matter how busy he was I always felt like I was his his #1 client - even though my job was a small one. I could not be any happier with my finished kitchen! I also, could not be any more satisfied with the personal service I received from Keith. Thank you Mr Martinelli for all you did to make my dream kitchen a reality!

I highly recommend checking out this place if you are planning on getting new cabinets. We were recommended to Brian Martinelli from the contractor we were thinking of working with. Brian went above and beyond to answer questions and came to our home to make measurements and is an overall nice man. We ended up going with another contractor but the information and service we received from Brian and the rest of the team was excellent. They are an established family business and I appreciate that they are knowledgeable and pleasant to work with.

Just finished my third project using Cabinets etc. Each time I was fortunate to work with Keith. Keith knows his business and will help you design great cabinets within your budget. He won't try to sell you the most expensive cabinets but he will honestly explain the difference and if an upgrade is worth it. Keith is a professional and if there is a problem will go out of his way to make sure his customers are happy with the end product. Cabinets Etc is a well established, family owned business. Great way to support our local community and economy. Thank you Keith & co.!

When we purchased a short sale a few months back, we knew off the top we would have to gut the kitchen and install new cabinets (turned into a lot more but that is for another time) and both the contractor we used and this cabinet store came highly recommended by the incredibly lovely and sweet Linda M. whose taste and business sense I trust. We primarily worked with Keith, but since this is a family owned and run business, we talked to just about everyone at one time or another. This place has been in business for I think 50 years or so and we try to work with small businesses as much as possible. Keith was great, but it helped that Kevin and I have a very similar style so choosing the cabinets we wanted was pretty painless and with few compromises, we were able to have what we are going to be living with for years and years to come. We also purchased our new kitchen countertops (we went with quartz) and THEN we ended up getting bathroom vanities for all 3 bathrooms (and one sink) through Keith as well. We went with one manufacturer for the kitchen (higher end) and then a different one for the bathroom vanities (lower end). We also purchased our hardware(for all cabinets/vanities) seamlessly-and Keith was at our house for the measuring, the delivery, the install, etc. Keith has a wealth of knowledge-directed us to a place for bathroom countertops, a hood for the Viking range we "inherited", and quite a few other things. He was patient with all of my questions and even spent a good 1/2 hour with me on the phone while I was in Lowe's one day attempting to purchase the faucets for the bathrooms and I couldn't quite wrap my head around how they would work with the sink top/vanity scenarios. We are big fans of our kitchen and our bathrooms-and without Cabinets, Etc. (and Linda M's recommendations) not sure this would have all been possible!

I am standing in my kitchen that we had done several years ago and even now, years later, I look back on my experience with Keith from Cabinets Etc. and am so very thankful for all that he did. He helped us through the entire process, from a complete redesign of our existing kitchen which involved adding an island, a second sink, a desk area, and moving walls and windows, to picking out the perfect cabinets to do the job. I came in with an idea, and he helped me make it a reality. He was happy and willing to make several modifications on the design, and seriously, I could not be more happy with the finished product. The fact that all that design work was just complimentary is quite remarkable to me. I am in love with my cabinets. They are high quality and clean beautifully. Keith was friendly, professional, and just wow. The customer service was outstanding. He also recommended a contractor that we have now used for several other projects. I feel badly that it took me years to get around to actually posting a review. This is my first Yelp review and I am starting an account, because great businesses like Cabinets Etc. deserve great reviews. If you need cabinets, run, don't walk, to Cabinets Etc.

After meeting with three other kitchen design shops we discovered Cabinets Ect. in Castro Valley. We met with Keith Martinelli, not only was the quality the best we had seen, but the price was was also the best by far. Keith made the whole project very easy, holding our hand every step of the way, always available to answer questions or help with venders. We are moved into our new kitchen, on time and on budget and very pleased with the results. I would highly recommend Cabinets Ect. and Keith to anyone considering a kitchen project.

Wanted to chime in on Cabinets etc... My wife and I met with Brian after hours. He was very accommodating to our schedule. He met with us, explained the myriad of options around cabinetry. Had actually drawn out our kitchen plan based on my rough measurements and showed us different perspectives of the project using the software. He was able to do a good estimate of the costs as well as give us options that saved us money. He also advised us on related items like sinks and appliances and how we should approach our remodel. I'd have to say, he was very personable and focused on serving our needs. Great customer service!

Make an appointment. You will get zero service and ignored for 30+ minutes without one - only to then be told you can't be helped. Wouldn't have been an issue at all if anyone had told me before they watched me walk around waiting the entire time. I wouldn't have minded if he told me RIGHT away. But nope....

If you're looking for a masterclass in how not to run a business, look no further than Keith at Cabinets Etc. Let's start with the basics: canceled our first meeting, then failed to show for the next one. Strike one and two. When we finally connected, it was clear Keith was already over it. He took some measurements, sent some renderings, and we agreed on the cabinet style--standard stuff, right? Wrong. Fast forward to what I thought would be a smooth process--spoiler: it wasn't. I reached out a week and a half after our final meeting to check on the order status. Turns out, Keith "forgot" to place it. Yep, you heard that right--forgot. When I pushed back, his response? Take your business elsewhere. Four weeks down the drain, and my remodel is now in limbo because Keith couldn't be bothered to do his job. So here's the deal: avoid Keith at Cabinets Etc unless you're in the market for frustration and delays. You've been warned.

Horrible customer service. I went there to order cabinets for two bathrooms in my home (2 - 60" vanities and 2 - 24" linen closets). I was looking around for about 15-20 minutes with a lady who was very nice. When the sales rep was done with another customer the nice lady asked if he could answer a few of my questions before I purchased. His response was "I'm busy". His attitude was more of "I don't give two shits about your business". Huge mistake buddy. Truth is, I'm in residential development and build high end apartment units. The guy was completely unprofessional!!! Next time, think before you speak.
