We took a ride to Bobs on Saturday 2/24/24 to look into granite counter tops for our pantry. Meghan assisted us in the showroom, she was very knowledgeable and helpful answering our questions. We had shopped around at the local kitchen establishments and found Bobs pricing to be more than competitive, we found exactly what we were looking for and paid the deposit. Meghan scheduled a measurement for the templates for the upcoming week and install the week after. Bobs was on time for both with their contractors who did an amazing job at the exact price quoted. We could not be more pleased with the outcome. Quality product and excellent service during this day when neither is a given. We highly recommend Bobs Granite!

I can not say enough about Bob's Granite Place! I worked with Kelsie on the design that I wanted. I was looking for a particular time frame and they were able to meet it as well! Justin came out to measure my countertops and then the crew showed up a few days later to start the installation. The installation was amazing! Everyone was so professional and friendly. Unlike most contractors, they actually cleaned up before they left. Ten weeks later, they came back to install the backsplash. It is stunning! They lined up all the veins so perfectly! We are beyond thrilled with the entire experience! I also have to say, that we did get 3 quotes for this job and Bob's was the best! I highly recommend Bob's Granite Place to anyone that is looking for perfection!

Kelsey Charte was amazing during the entire process of picking out our countertops and having them installed! There are many decisions to make and lots of choices, it can seem overwhelming when you are making such a large purchase/commitment like countertops. She allowed us room to make up our own minds, never making us feel pressured to buy, but also shared her input/advice/experience when we asked. We were especially impressed and pleased by the fact that she followed up just like she promised. It’s a rare and beautiful thing to experience these days! For our island, we repurposed a sideboard/buffet, so when Eric came to template he gave us some pointers on what we should do before the install to make sure we had everything ready to go. His expertise is evident. Just check out that rounded edge on the end shelf! Perfection! Our countertops were installed this week, and we could not be happier! The installation guys were quick, professional, and (even more excitingly) earlier than we anticipated. Every morning we walk into our kitchen and are just in awe of what we see! Just gorgeous! Thank you again, Kelsey and all of the staff of Bob’s!

I ordered leather finished granite counters (mat flat finish not shiny). When they installed the first time the island counter was more than 2" short on 2 sides. The other counter when installed they used a shiny caulking and spread it along all edges prior to sealing so there was a glowing shine all along the back splash (looked horrible). They made several attempts to clean it off but because it was sealed after and not before it won't come out. They replaced both counters and there were 3 installers this time (I specifically asked them to seal it before they applied the caulking and they said that was the plan) they did not do so and there was 2 of them applying the caulking 1 did it right the other spread it wide so I again have a glowing shine along one edge which is an eye sore. In addition they broke my sink and refused to pay the plumber bill (they would only agree to pay for the 1 part). Sadly although their pricing is good their installing is done by folks who have no idea what they're doing and speak little english. Caution if you want quality service this might not be the place.

What a transformation! The pictures don't do it justice. I shopped around. Bob's Granite Place prices were much better than the big box stores. I was able to get quartz for the same price as their lower quality solid surface counters. Bob's was able to come weeks ahead of schedule, a very nice surprise. The installer did a great job cleaning up after himself too. I am really pleased.

Our experience was excellent. Their staff were all friendly and answered every question we had, over and over again, and we changed our minds a few times. They had great patience with us even on our 4th or 5th visit back to the show room. There are No high pressure sales people, which made us comfortable to keep going back. We took the trip to Haverhill to see our slab, we recommend doing so, it was worth the trip. The sunny showroom was a nice feature as well. The three companies we visited in Concord, none had the feel and brightness of Bobs Place, and their quotes were higher. Bob, himself measured our kitchen and he was great, and the installers were polite, talented and fast and did a good clean up!. We love our undermount sink. We are happy, it looks awesome. Highly recommend Bobs Granite Place.

Bob's installed our kitchen granite (glacier white) in July 2023. Lighter granite comes with more customer diligence for stains we were told. Working with the sales staff went smoothly, pricing was good and met our budget. There was a long wait for installation. We picked out and tagged our granite slab at a warehouse in Haverhill, MA. We purchased the upgraded sink from Bob's - note - it doesn't come with a bottom protection guard or hole stopper (purchased separately $75-100) so beware when comparing prices. Working with the fabrication department didn't go as well. To our surprise they do not do an actual template. They only write down measurements. No laser, no physical template. That resulted in small gaps, small alignments being off in our assessment. The communication between this department and the homeowner needs improvement because I had to call sales multiple times to know what the installer was doing during their visits, the arrival times, etc. + sales hours open much later than installation hours leaving us frustrated. They forgot a piece of backsplash on the initial installation, returned a week later with a replacement in the wrong size, something we, the homeowner, noted to them. They had to come back a third time causing a delay in the final completion which was frustrating for us. We had to be home three times to get it all done. Installers did a good job on matching joint colors. They work very quickly to install the granite. They did a good job to level the granite on the cabinets catching a small issue in our cabinet installation. They reinforced the sink which we appreciated. They recommend the customer seal the granite every few years. Our granite has a nice polished look and we like the granite we chose. Update- sink supplied scratches easily.

I recently had counter tops installed by Bobs. I worked with the owner Bob, who was very easy to work with and very willing to assist me with my difficult contractor. Bob ensured me that the job would be done and done correctly, and he would make sure the contractor was held accountable for payment and removing the old counters. These counter tops were installed while I was away on vacation and it was a great thing to come home to. The new granite counters truly transformed my Kitchen from the cheap laminate counters the house came with, and I couldn’t be happier.

My boyfriend and I were looking for granite. We went to a granite store in Concord, where we were told that marble is essentially the same thing, and the sales woman could not have been any ruder if she tried. We decided to look elsewhere, and I'm glad we did. The saleswoman at Bob's couldn't have been more helpful, welcoming, and kind. We were impressed by their granite selection. I saw a slab I wanted that was marked sold. I went inside and asked the woman if she could source another piece. The other woman in the office, who was equally as helpful and nice, found a similar piece. She actually looked into this further, and saw the piece wasn't sold - she verified the project it was sold to was complete, and they ended up not needing it. I couldn't have been happier. Eric came out to make the template. He was punctual, helpful, and personable. My boyfriend took our countertops down last night before the instillation, and we decided that we wanted to see if we could maximize our kitchen area by changing the size of one of the slabs. The three men who came here today could not have been any more patient, helpful, and great at what they do. They patiently held the slab of granite, allowing us to measure and decide on which way to go. Everything about this company surpasses expectations. I am so thankful that the first granite company was such a disappointment, or we would not have found Bob's. Thank you all!

I am general contractor and have done three kitchens for my personal houses in the past three years. Was having trouble getting pricing from other counter suppliers in New Hampshire. Contacted them online and by phone, sent drawings. Either did not receive a price or or crazy high prices. Took a chance on Bob's. Great response, very friendly inside staff. Quick pricing and the best price I received. Once they had the order it was great communication and scheduling. Bob came out to measure on the day scheduled and we installed the following week. This is the way a job should go. No hassles no worries and the installed granite tops look great.

Thank you Bob's Granite for a job well done! These guys are true artisans, skilled and professional. They arrived on time and worked very well together. Each person complimented the other in organization and application of their jobs. Cutting the granite for this location was complicated but they handled it beautifully. The amount of dust was considerable and they cleaned up as well as they could. I recommend them highly to deliver as promised. The price was reasonable as well. Five stars all around. Thank you!

We recently had granite installed over our current cabinets and hired Bob's Granite. We highly recommend Bob's. Bob came out did the measurement and gave us pricing right away. We then went to his shop to take a look at more samples and larger pieces. The granite was installed without a hitch by very friendly installers. Bob's price was half that of Home Depot and Lowes accompanied by awesome service directly from the owners. It makes a difference when you deal with the owner. If you have having granite, do yourself a favor and call Bob.

Having dealt with many granite installers over the years I can honestly say that Bob's Granite is the most friendly, affordable, and professional granite people we have ever had the pleasure of doing business with. The granite that we chose had a very distinct pattern and our concern was whether the backsplash would follow ( match ) the pattern on the counter, as it usually doesn't. This wasn't the case this time, because of the expertise level at Bob's Granite the backsplash matched perfectly, never have we seen a better match on any counter anywhere, FANTASTIC JOB, THANK YOU! We strongly reccommend checking out Bob's Granite for all your granite projects.

I agree with many of the reviewers, buyer beware, and you get what you pay for. Salesperson nice as can be until you communicate via email especially with issues no response until you call then the answer is murky at best. Install day: crew shows up early unannounced, counter too long had to cut inside dust everywhere, then there was no back splash which was ordered--back to the shop to get it, 2 weeks after installation the sink drops out--used "unauthorized adhesive" used Loctite --came back to reattach. My countertop is very very pitted and looks scratched sending someone to look at it never done "it's the nature of the stone" to date no response. Probably off to another professional to see if "it's the nature of the stone". Jason is good and responsive more like the rest of Bob's should be.

Although the selection process was easy the installation was another story. First off the crew was at my house at 8:30am waiting in my driveway when I returned from an errand. I was promised that I would receive a call prior to arrival which didn't happen. after about an 2 hours of install a worker calls me downstairs to look at the granite. He says "are you alright with this?" The backsplash they installed was 3/4 inch short of my existing tile. Of course I said no and they said they would have it recut in a week. This is after the owner came out and measured everything prior to install. Next, a worker tells me they had a little accident and show me a hole that they put in my base cabinet side as they hit it with the granite slab. I understand things happen but at this point I was not pleased with the process. The salesmen agreed to take $200 off they install price so I could fix. A week later they came and installed the new backsplash as I was at work. When I came home I noticed that the end of the backsplashes were about 1/4 short of the counter and the backsplash, again a measuring issue. I sent an email to the office stating this issue complete with picture. It is 3 weeks later and have not received a response. Making this worse with this business is that they have absolutely no empathy towards their customers. I never receive any type of apology from the salesman or the women in the office, I was given the impression that I was being an annoyance. Working in the hospitality industry this does not fly with me and shouldn't with any paying customer. Great price but lousy attention to detail and service!

We had our granite countertops installed by Bob' s Granite. It took nearly two months to get the counters. I was excited to have it installed and it was scheduled for the day before our engagement dinner for our daughter. When the counters arrived the cut for the stove top was off by 3 inches. Despite being told to keep the counter to a 1 inch overhang , the person that measured made the end piece 2 inches overhang, which looks odd. We did not accept the piece cut for the stove. My husband had to drag in the old countertops that were now in pieces, reinstall the stovetop and sink so that I could cook for our dinner. We called to talk to the owner that day leaving two messages, but no return call. My husband took a half day off later in the week so that we could get the counters after being recut. He disconnected the sink and stovetop again to have the work done and then put it all back when the counters were installed. It now looks great (except for the 2 inch overhang). Sure people make errors, but we never got a call back from anyone at the shop, despite our messages and telling the installer we would like a courtesy call. Would not use this company again.

cut granite wrong and took way to long to redo it left with no counters on major part of kitchen and no running water. The seam is in the worst possible place and makes me nuts. The pieces on the sides of the stove do not line up. so yah stay far far away

I suggest no one work with Bobs granite company in NH ever. If you do work with them, hope that no mistakes are made because the owner Bob will not fix them for you without a huge fight. Take a look at Google reviews as well so that you can see how Bob responded to me and others who submitted 1 star reviews. Terrible experience for the following reasons: - Team didn't show up with tarps or anything to protect my new floor and when they were notified they needed them, they left the job before completing any work and didn't call me so that I could solve the problem - Owner Bob estimated the job incorrectly and didn't tell the crew about the difference in height between one of the counters which prevented the crew from finishing the job the first time - Bob and crew got in fights with both my flooring contractor and my painting contractor on two separate occasions - Team didn't come back to finish the job when they said they would and I had to call to remind them - One of Bob's team members dented my fridge and broke a tile and Bob refuses to pay me for it to get fixed. - Bob was disrespectful to me on numerous occasions and called me a bully and a Karen because I stood up for myself and my wonderful contractors and complained about all the above.

only one star, because it would'nt let me do negative stars !! not happy !!! bobs after sale service is terrible !! we had our countertops installed in december of 2020, couple issues noticed in finish at that time, have made multiple calls, even stopping back into the store in person. we have not even seen a rep to view issues. we would never do business with bobs again. our next step is to file a complaint with the bbb and with the state of nh. buyer beware, buy elsewhere.

We had granite countertops installed 2 years ago. Are having problems with staining. Went to the store once and called 4 x requesting someone to come and look at the problem. We have not heard back and have been treated very rudely by the older woman in the store. She dismissed us and suggested there wasn't any problem. To date, we have not heard back from anyone. I would definitely not recommend this store based on their lack of customer service.

Bob's was my contractors choice so my daughter and I drove to the showroom to pick out a color choice for our new countertop. Two women were there, one of whom was incredibly rude and unprofessional. She said she couldn't help us without a contractor and behaved as though we were interrupting her day. The younger woman at least answered our question about price coding - but we had to go find her to ask the question. Deciding on a color choice and relating that to my contractor, he called and a women answered the phone saying she couldn't deal with him unless I was already a costumer. When he tried to reason with her she quoted a price of $3000 without even knowing the size of the job. Sorry Bob, but we can't do business with you if your representative refuses to do business with us. And that's two kitchens - a small condo and (finally!) my old country farmhouse.

So for some reason the review my husband left last month is gone??! Hmmm. Here is my review. We went to Boston Granite Exchange per Mike to pick out our exact slab. We went with the silver price range "top tier" because it was the ONLY one we loved. $6600 but we didn't care because it was the exact one we wanted and going be the centerpiece of our open concept living area. We took pictures of the slab including the serial number. Months later the counters were installed and they are not the same. The slab that was installed has large black/dark spots going completely across the kitchen and the one we ordered didn't. Mike had no explanation or solution. I wish I read all the terrible reviews before we went with this company. After every review the response from the company is either blaming, bullying and belittling the customer, or claiming they are reviewing the wrong Business! My situation probably isn't going to get better but I really hope someone else doesn't get shafted by this unprofessional company. BBB complaints too!!! Very similar to my experience! Pictures for reference!! And where is the huge veining that runs trough the slab we bought?? Hmmm two different slabs!!!

Buyer beware - you get what you pay for. Went with Bob's because they're somewhat local (within an hour's drive of our home) and their price for granite beat Home Depot's incredible sales prices - although only by a few dollars. Drove to their granite supplier in Westborough MA over two hours away from our home, and picked out two slabs of Black Galaxy from the same lot - this part is important. Three young men showed up on install day, were very nice, and seemed experienced - although I thought the one guy did rather a slap-dash, half-a$$ed job of applying the sealant, but I trusted that he knew what he was doing. After they left, I found that areas of our new counters have a cloudy appearance that even soap and water doesn't wash off, and that there were places that needed scrubbing of something stuck to it. I have hope that with enough elbow grease and the right cleaning product, I can remedy this, but there were also some minor scratches I can do nothing about - and the part that's upset me the most is the seam. I knew that there would need to be a seam, and the actual seam is fine - but the granite on one side of the seam looks very different from the granite that it's joined with. I cannot believe that these two pieces are from the same lot because they look so very different, and it's glaringly, distressingly obvious. All of the granite pieces in my kitchen look the same - just like the slabs we had chosen - except for the one piece that they cut the main sink out of. We had chosen two slabs which were especially glittery, had a lot of those gold flecks in it, but the sink piece joined to the peninsula piece is not even close, is much more subdued, and anyone with eyesight can't miss that. It just looks bad, like we had selected random pieces and slapped them down there without regard to how they would look joined together. Because of this, I cannot recommend Bob's and would not use them again. UPDATE: I posted the preceding review on Google Reviews before I discovered that they had drilled one of the holes for the soap dispensers too large, and chipped the opening, so now we have to worry about water leaking into the cabinet beneath the sink. BTW, you cannot post anonymously on Google Reviews, especially if you have a Gmail email address, which I do. I was hoping that the owner of Bob's Granite - who responded to positive reviews there - might call me and try to make this right. The company certainly has my name as it appeared on my Google review, my phone number, my business email address, and my physical address because they installed 80 SF of granite here. But he chose to respond by flagging my review as a fake one - which it is not and he knows it. This is a reprehensible way of dealing with an honest, valid review of less-than-satisfactory service. Again: Buyer beware.

We purchased a $6,600 slab that was to be the centerpiece of our home. What we received was the same type of granite but not our stone. We were told, "That's the piece you chose." It's clearly not as we have pictures to prove it. I would have felt better if someone said, "Sorry, we sold your slab.", but I don't like being lied to.

I had the worse experience with Bob Granite Place they don't deserve a star, they don't back up there work. Buyers beware they did the tear out of my old countertops and ripped the Sheetrock paper off the wall with the paint and after 2 1/2 months trying to get someone to come out and fix and repair my wall the General Manager Mike (who talks right over you and doesn't let you speak) tells us that they are not fixing it and this happens all the time and customers just fix there mistakes on there own and will not have Bob call me back to try and resolve this issue. Thanks for nothing.

the stone was beautiful and thats where the good stops. my wife and i went in and paid for half of the order and explained it was going to be 6 months until we would be ready they said no problem when my wife went back in to finalise the stone they tried to say the price had gone up but that quickly changed when i went in then the install.... the stone wasnt cut to size and they cut a 2 inch by 4 foot section out of my wall pushed the stone in and was like perfect then there was no clean up the debris was left and when i called to mention my displeasure they acted like it was no big deal. if you need this work done go any where but here!!!!! horrible not worth the price!

Unfortunately, we are joining the ranks of reviews that experienced less than satisfactory customer service when choosing our granite this week. The selection was very limited but more disturbing was the attitude of Roberta in answering our questions about other granite options and the installation process. She was impatient with her responses and gave us the impression that she couldn't wait for us to leave. After our visit, she was supposed to email us a document with current pricing but it was never received. Our original emailed estimate was from Mike and when we asked to speak to him, we were simply told that he was in the office. He was clearly visible sitting at his computer but didn't bother coming out to even greet us. We decided to look around and 20 minutes away found Stephanie who walked with us around her company's yard, and was extremely helpful in our decision-making. We signed a contract immediately. Had kitchen counter installed and was pleased initially. However upon them leaving we noticed the sink was damaged. We called immediately and was told they would remedy the situation. 3 calls later they did not remedy the situation. Emails continued to be ignored. Unhappy customer- would not recommend.

Unfortunately an extremely exhausting experience from ordering to installation. We had used Bobs Granite in the past and everything was wonderful dealing with Bob and his wife so we decided to use them again. We also like dealing with small family owned businesses. Our project was a kitchen and 3 bathrooms. We knew exactly what we wanted when entering the showroom and Roberta took our order/deposit. Had we not used Bob's in the past we would have walked out during the ordering process. Eric came to do the measuring and pushed down so hard on one of our cabinets that we needed to repair it. About a week later Roberta had called and left me a message confirming our install on Wednesday at 8AM (an appt we never made). After a challenging conversation with Roberta to make an appt we finally got a Friday about 6 weeks out. A week prior to the install I emailed Roberta confirming we were all set, her reply "Yes". Assuming we would get a call for an install window I called the Wednesday prior and was told by Roberta that we were not on the schedule. Imagine the frustration when you have all the plumbing torn out, no sinks / counters etc. Finally the install....guys were wonderful showed up at 9AM even though Roberta told me the best she could do was noon to 2PM. After the install we noticed we had bright white bathroom sinks although we ordered bisque. We also ordered the deep drain/baskets and sink grates for the kitchen which were not left. My husband called Mike and explained to him the issue and Mike argued that we had received bisque sinks and their bisque colored sinks are white he also said that our plumber should have the deep drains even though we paid for them already. Mike would not work with us on the sink prices, we planned on replacing them, so needless to say they all had to be pulled out and we were off on a hunt to find sinks on our own which has been over 4 weeks. What a nightmare.....not sure what has happened in the last couple of years but two complete opposite experiences for us. We rehab houses and will absolutely never use them again. We are not high demand type of people but their customer service is awful and they were very difficult to work with. We found Roberta and Mike very condescending.

If there were a ZERO star I would use the ZERO!!!!! Bob is rude and does NOT stand behind his mistakes!!!!!! MY reason: We had our kitchen counters and basement bar remodeled and my granite is beautiful however, at the time Bob was subcontracting out some of his business and we happen to fall upon the not so good sub. Bob was called and someone did come out to look they stated yes I did have some legit complaints and they would fix them.. Months went by and nothing, So finally I stopped in and Bob asked to look at this for himself. Bob came by and looked and stated some complaints were legit others not so much. ( My seams were white on a mainly black counter I color them with a marker, there is a crack at the kitchen sink, the cocking looks like they used their thumbs, my outlets i the bar are off center because they pushed the back splash to fit) So Bob said to me 1. He doesn't like doing work for people like me i'm to fussy 2. He wouldn't do anymore work for us and here is the best one 3 ( I had mentioned we were remodeling our shop and if he fixed what we had then maybe would use him there) 3. I bought 25 a square foot granite if I wanted 80 a square foot granite and service I should have bought it. As of today years later nothing has been fixed so to all of you who love him I hope you don't have any problems. To all who would like to use them I wish you luck if you have a problem. I would never treat our customers in this manner because at our business customers are family!

Glad to see positive reviews for this business. Changes must have been made. Our experience was a stark contrast to these reviews. The estimate was inaccurate and price increased despite two visits to measure job. Installation was shoddy. Our brand new cabinets were damaged by careless installers. These same installers left granite dust and pieces in our drawer slides. Cleaning that up was a nightmare. They also used my garage to cut covering my classic Corvette in abrasive granite dust . The entire job had to be replaced by a reputable granite company as there were gouges and cracks throughout the project. Bob's solution was to set in a left over piece creating more seams and patch the chips and gouges. In addition the sink and cook top cutouts were off center and did not match up. Bob refused to make this job right. We refused final payment and had the entire job replaced letting Bob keep the initial deposit with us keeping and refurbishing the old granite for use in our bathrooms at our expense. Not worth our time going to court. If the other reviews I read on here are genuine I'm happy he has fixed his issues.

Called to get information on having granite tops installed in my kitchen and never received a call back. No big deal I made another call and got one pretty smarmy mouthed salesperson on the other end. Her name was Roberta. Had some basic questions about pricing and was treated disrespectfully. Not sure I will pursue having the work done even though I don't usually judge an entire business by one unprofessional sales person but it doesn't help. Think I will , based on these other reviews just try and speak with the owner.

Bob as install my counter tops 2015. I have send friends and family members to him and their very happy.Until My Daughter about a month ago when to him ,Mike is the GM and he is the most rude unprofessional person ,never returns the phone calls or the E-mails. The day of the installation he calls at 10 am to say that the granite was not ready and he as no idea when will be ready. By this time she as no kitchen and 3 kids .I just call to speak to Bob and Mike answer the phone and he was VERY RUDE . If is not Bob that you deal with Stay away from BOBS GRANITE!!!!!

We decided to contact Bob's Granite Place after a friend recommended them. I initially spoke with Bob and was happy with the conversation we had about our future project. I was told to reach back out when we were ready to get a quote. I contacted them again to move forward and was put in touch with Mike the GM, who I did not have a good experience with. He was rude, dismissive, vague about what the price included (had to ask specifically about several details to get answers) and slow to respond. He wasted our time by initially telling us that they could work with us upon installation of our cabinets, which was an estimated 3 weeks out. Three weeks later when our cabinets were installed, he changed his mind and decided that we were located too far and he no longer had the time. This left us scrambling to find another contractor and put us way behind schedule. They advertise all over their website that they proudly work throughout New England, yet the drive from NH to MA is apparently not worth their time or our business. Completely unprofessional and unreliable. I would not recommend wasting your time with this place.

Unfortunately not a good experience. Started off great as we met with Mike who is the sales manager at the showroom and very professional. We selected the color and we're out of there after a purchase within an hour , very excited no less. Mike came to our house the next week for measurements, and then install happened the next week which I thought was great. Here comes the problem. The install took roughly 2 and a half hours which is easy, but when the time came to inspect the job and where it all went sour. The counters I just spent 3500 on were not level and there was over 1/4 inch gap difference underneath on corner of the window above the sink to the other corner of he new granite backsplash. So crooked that it was the first thing that caught my attention. They shrugged their shoulders and said it must be my cabinets fault. The old counters looked perfect, as I showed them pictures from before. Their idea to fix was to put one bigger piece of granite below the window which I didn't like that idea. I called Mike and he said his project manager would be out the week after to fix. After the crew left, I noticed a mess of sealant all over my appliances and cabinets they left me to clean. Some jagged edge shims throw underneath my cabinets by the floor sticking out as well. A mess of shrappnel on my tile floor, and missing the grates for my sinks. Obviously this just added insult to injury. The project manager Eric came out yesterday and his only fix was the same big piece of granite, adding two seams now to the back splash,and still crooked when looking at the space on each side of lower backsplash. I resisted and called Mike. He said it was only option unless they were to remove all back splashes and leave me with bare, torn drywall looking walls. So I was stuck and aid go go it. Now wife is unhappy as well as me, and I'm out 3500 dollars. Moral of the story is go with a company that removes counters for measurements as they would know if the cabinets were supposedly unlevel. Convenience turned into a bad experience for me, expensive lesson at that.

Called Bob's for an estimate in Hartford Vermont for approx. 40 square feet of granite fabricated and installed in a condominium kitchen. Spoke with the owner and he immediatly dismissed me saying he needed at least 60 square feet to travel to Hartford, which is well within the service area listed on the website (only 1 1/2 hours from Barrington NH). Wouldn't even discuss further with me. He was very short and rude on the phone. No where in his site does it mention a minimum square footage to travel to Vermont. I went a little further down the street and purchased from Peters affordable Granite in NH! They were superb!

I called to request an estimate after Bob was recommended to me by several home owners. I was instantly dismissed because my kitchen was not "big enough" and it was too far of a drive (Hartford Vt). If you are looking to have granite installed in a small kitchen or condo this is clearly not the place to go.

PLEASE READ THIS before doing business with Bob! I went to 5 different places in search of putting granite in my house and stopped by Bob's Granite Place as I was driving on Route 4. He and his wife were very nice and helped answer my questions. I shortly thereafter decided to move forward with purchasing the granite through Bob as he came in with the least expensive price. I gave him my deposit (which has to be a check or cash as he charges you a percentage of the total amount with a credit card). He schduled himself to be out the following Monday to template. He ended up calling me on the follwing Wed asking me when he was supposed to come out and template claming he had not idea about Monday (yet is was on his paper when we met). He ended up coming out a week late which pushed the kitchen remodel back further. Once templated, it took him a week longer than the 2 weeks promised to get the granite to the site as he claims he had a "saw break" in his shop, therefore had to wait for it to be fixed. They eventually installed the countertop and Bob immediately called me asking for payment that day. (NOTE) I travel and fly a significant amount for work and really wanted to see it before paying him the second and final payment. I however trusted Bob (learned my lesson) that it was done correctly and as promised. I also understand he is a small business, so I gave him my credit card so he could have money in his account as quickly as possible. Upon my return home, i noticed none of the granite seemed like it had been wiped down. There was still some sort of residue on different parts of the granite that I needed to scrub clean, the wall that is was against was damaged with scratches and holes (brand new sheet rock that had just been painted) and the wall had some sort of chemical wiped on it that the painter had to go over with 4 times to get covered up. Last but not least, the template paper SHOWED 4 inch round cuts on the corners of the counters, but they were only 2! I tried calling him and didn't' get a return call, nor did Bob give any follow-up. I had my contractor call as we had to install the dishwasher and needed the install kit to install the dishwasher. He called 3 times leaving messages and NO return. I figured on our way over to the house, we woudl swing by Bob's place to talk about it in person. Once there, Bob and his wife claimed we didn't call his shop or leave any messages. We showed him our 'recent calls' on our iPhone and he kept denying. I then explained to him my concerns and frustrations around the installation and procurement process and Bob immediately became IRATE. He immediately got in my face, yelling and swearing at me, telling me I was wrong. He clenched a fist and wound up to throw it and decided against it thankfully. Bob kept getting more irate and waving his finger and yelling in my face and even yelled at one point "let's bring this outside" (with a few other words thrown in). He kept yelling at us telling us we were liars. We decided it was best to just cut our losses as we didn't want any situation to escalate. We ended up driving by another Granite place down the road who helped us with what we needed and they said "here's another customer from Bob's." Clearly I was not the first... Please be VERY cautious working with Bob. I'm in business myself working for a Fortune 15 company responsible for sales and strategy for a large geography. I was BLOWN away that ANYONE, never mind a business owner, would react this way. I just want to make sure other people are cautious as i had only 1 review to go off of... I hope this helps and wish you good luck on your kitchen renovation.
