UPDATE: Tanner was AMAZING to work with! He called after I wrote my first review and they came the next morning to fix the sink, do it right, no charge, and paid for the plumber. I had this company install my kitchen counter tops with an under-mount sink almost 2 years ago. When they first installed it they had several 2x4's and 1x4's screwed together to hold the bottom of the sink up but they didn't touch the bottom of the sink so they had it shimmed so only a small corner was actually touching to hold up the sink. When I called to ask if this was really how it was supposed to be I was told to send pictures and didn't hear back for weeks. I had to keep calling back and finally the girl just told me it was fine. 2 years later I'm filling up a jug in my sink and it falls into my cabinet because the 2x4's ripped out of the sidewall of the cabinet. I now have an unusable kitchen sink and I've called to ask them to fix it and the same girl just says she'll tell the manager... I asked when the manager gets in and she says "she doesn't know his schedule." I asked if she could get a hold of him since I don't have a usable sink and she says "he doesn't take calls or do anything when he's out of the office." I asked if there was anyone they could send to look at it and fix it and she says "there's no one else."

They were professional, very well priced, extremely easy to work with, and did everything they said they would do, on time!! The kitchen looks amazing! Steve is awesome and his team is great. I honestly can’t say enough about Black Granite! Out of all the subs we used on our new construction they were by far the best. Steve and Zac were so kind and professional. They gave us great design ideas that made a big difference in our kitchen, helped us pick out quality stone and all around made the process so easy. Their install crews were amazing too! I had seen them on Dream Home Makeover on Netflix and they were even better in person. So friendly, answered all of my questions and quick! My builder was so impressed by the company. The countertops are beautiful and we are beyond happy with them!

Update: black granite sent some people over and fixed the issues that were bugging me. I’m happy with their service and really appreciate them reaching out especially with such a crazy, challenging year we’ve had. The showroom people were nice and I like the quartz. Only issue is that there’s on little patch in the kitchen where the quartz isn’t polished or something. And the sink was installed unlevel so there’s a pocket where water pools. I called to see if it could be fixed but since it was too long since installation, they won’t address the issues themselves. It is my fault for not calling them sooner about these issues, but we’ve had a crazy year with pregnancy, blood clot, 2 surgeries, new baby, etc. All shortly after moving into the home. So I just didn’t get around to it. It would be nice for them to give a little bit of grace but what can you do?

My contractor “Vertex Homes” used this company for my quartz. First my sink was put in backwards so they had to come and turn it around for me (someone else's mistake). They manage to break my quartz while taking it out and had to come back again because they took it back to fix it. The third time they came was because the caulk that was holding the quartz together was coming apart. I added this quartz in my bathrooms and my kitchen. They fixed it the first time. Now this happened again and it looks so tacky. I am not going to have them come fix it again. I have been living in my house since June 2018. Less than a year and it has been twice. I will take pictures of this. They were very helpful when it came to picking a quartz and were here when they said they would come. My contractor was the one with bad communication.

I don't normally provide reviews, but my experience with Black Granite Installations was so good, I felt the need to. Amanda was incredibly helpful in the decision process (what granite, sizing, etc). I ended up going there twice because I couldn't make up my mind and she was so helpful both times. The installation team was phenomenal. They were professional, respected the fact that I was working from home, and they went above and beyond to make sure I was happy with everything. I went with a chiseled edge which is one of the most challenging finishes and they did an incredible job. I 100% recommend Black Granite!

March 2020 To Whom it May Concern: Black Granite came strongly recommended for their high-quality work and attention to detail. We hired Black Granite in September 2019 to tear out and replace the counters in our two bathrooms and entire kitchen. We were rescheduled two times; once due to our "lost" sink, and the other time because the kitchen needed to be re-measured. The rescheduling caused other items in our home to be delayed and prevented the use of our kitchen for two weeks. After the counters were finally installed we noticed the following problems. -Counters not fitting the wood underlay by 1-3". -Several spots of glue dripped onto the new floor. -A few spots of glue dripped onto the drawer of new cabinets. -Two drawers not closing. -Dent in a new $1,000 microwave. -Scratch on a bathroom mirror. -Several holes in the walls, one, larger than a golf ball. Annie spoke to The Manager with Black Granite on a few occasions following the install. The manager told Annie that the install was "within the realms of satisfactory" and that the good news was that "nobody looks under the counter". During one conversation, The manager told her that she could wallpaper or paint the wood underlay if we didn't like how it looked. These responses are not fitting for a reputable company. Jason spoke to the owner, who repeatedly stated that he would 'just come and rip it out if we didn't like the work'. Rather than come up with a viable solution, in a professional and polite manner, he resorted to yelling and was unwilling to work with us on the problems. When we talked to The Manager about this and asked how to proceed, he said that the owner doesn't like to feel cornered and lashes out when he does. Again, this behavior and reaction does not reflect a great company. When Black Granite should have readily and willingly corrected their mistakes, they refused accountability and correction. Of the list aforementioned, the drawers not closing is the only acceptable fix along with a replacement microwave. No other changes or corrections have been made. The following items remain unsatisfactory: -Spots of glue were not removed, the scratch on the mirror, not addressed - Holes in the wall were fixed by a separate dry wall group and a tile company that we hired and paid -Pieces of wood were glued in under the counter giving it a jigsaw puzzle look -The repair to the wood underlay is not acceptable, in fact, the fix looks worse than if it had been left. How can a company maintain clients with such poor work ethic and quality? On 2 November we again addressed our disappointment to The Manager about not receiving the quality of work which we expected and paid for. The Manager told Annie that he was sorry and that there is nothing he can do, and it was "out of his hands". The overall experience with Black Granite was not at all the quality we expected. It was nowhere near the quality we paid for. It's disappointing to attempt to work with professionals who cannot or will not rectify their wrongs. Black Granite will not provide master bathroom counters and labor in our home from this point forward. We will not recommend Black Granite to anyone seeking quality work. They are unprofessional, unreliable, and dishonest. We will share with others our sub-par experience including pictures of the work received. People should know to avoid Black Granite because of shoddy work and an extreme lack of concern for their clients. Jason and Annie Sullivan
