I highly recommend Best Marble. Efren and his crew did an amazing job for us. We had Quartzite Counters and backsplash done in our kitchen. He truly cares about the quality of his work. The lines were matched perfectly !!!! And the job was fast, efficient and professional . Also his office manager Sarah was great, very knowledgeable and helpful in getting a stone picked out for us.

Best Marble is truly the BEST! They helped me with the countertop and backsplash during the kitchen remodel project. Not only are their prices competitive (I got several bids), their service and stone expertise are TOP NOTCH. Efrain and Paolo did a beautiful job matching veins running from the countertop to the backsplash. They are attention to detail and willing to accommodate customer preferences, which is what I appreciate the most. Remodeling is not a smooth-running process. Being able to find a contractor who has patience to work with you and come back to make adjustments to meet your lasting satisfaction is a gem! With their expert knowledge and excellent customer service (thank you Sarah in the office!), I wouldn't hesitate to re-hire them for other projects and wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone! These people went above and beyond! I bought my granite countertops from them almost 15 years ago. A few month back I noticed cracks appearing around the kitchen sink. I didn't think they would still be in business after so many years but I decided to check anyway. I found them still in the same location. When I explained the problem to the owner (Dwight), he said without hesitation that he would completely replace the counters at no charge. His crew is just finishing the job now and it's perfect. This is the best customer service l have ever had for any purchase.

Top notch, these folks know their stuff and do impeccable work. We purchased a slab of quartzite from a local supplier and had it delivered to Best Marble & Granite Company. (They have slabs on site, but we had already purchased ours.) We received 3 other quotes from different fabricators -- Best Marble & Granite wasn't the cheapest (only $250 more than the cheapest) but they came with a strong recommendation from our contractor. Sarah in the office was super responsive and helpful - always answered my questions quickly and made scheduling a breeze. The guys who came to our house to create our templates were courteous, operated with care, asked for my input and were super informative. They took time to answer my questions, and collaborated well with our general contractor. When we went to the shop to choose where the templates would be placed on our slab, the whole crew was there to help us decide and offer suggestions. They were so helpful -- and they did their very best to fit everything onto one slab. Which was amazing! On install day they were on time and covered our floors and cabinets with care. The installation went quickly and smoothly and our countertops are just incredible. We only ended up with one seam -- and you can't even see it, truly! Since they've done the install, other contractors have come in and commented on what a great job our fabricator did. Now that's a compliment! Hire them, you won't regret it.

I was more than pleasantly surprised by everything about my experience with this company. Aside from the prices which are far below any of their competitors. The service from the first day, I walked into the shop to the completion of the project was superb. After I selected the marble that I wanted in my home, the installers came out, remove my old countertops and made templates for the new installation. I recharge properly with my new countertops and fireplace and completed the project to perfection. I want to publicly thank them, and with this recommendation, encourage you to give them a try.

We remodeled our kitchen over 15 years ago and used Best Marble and Granite to do the fabrication. The whole process was seamless and the work was excellent. Fast forward three bathrooms later and we used best for all of them, including the most recent bathroom 3 months ago. If there are remnant pieces that will work, your job will be much less. Come with approximate measurements and look at their stock and you may find something that works really well for smaller jobs such as a bathroom. The first time we went, we worked with Robert. Since the kitchen job, I've worked with Efrain. He is awesome!!! He helped me find a granite piece that would work for each of the bathrooms, came and measured the space to make the template and then had me come back to plan the layout on the granite piece. The installs all went so smoothly and the work is excellent. I understand Efrain owns the company now and I'm thrilled, since he has been amazing to work with all of these 15+ years.

I had them put in granite counter tops and five years later they still look great. I went here because you can actually pick out a slab. It's not prefab. I had my counter made three inches wider since I didn't want to waste any granite. I now have a small job of getting a vanity top for a bathroom cabinet. I want to get a vessel sink so only need a 49" by 23 " counter with two hole drilled in. Let you know if they will do it.

I needed (2) marble slabs for a kitchen remodel. I found Best Marble and Graniate to be extremely knowledegable. Robert was very helpful the minute we arrived. He pointed out the look I was going to achieve with what I was looking at and that was not the look I wanted. He gave me suggestions and we found two beautiful slabs. They made templates and had me come back to make sure they were capturing all the heavily veined areas that were important to me. The installers were prompt, professional and efficient. The job turned out better than I had anticipated. If you want experte help and advice and a job done without any stress; Best Granite and Marble is the company that can do this.

Just finished with a full kitchen remodel. I bought the granite somewhere else and brought it to Robert to fabricate. It is a pattern with a lot of movement, not a repeating pattern and I was impressed that he matched the pieces wonderfully to flow. Smooth beveled edges, and perfect installation. Even handled a tricky wall mount with a pocket door behind (you will understand if you have one). Thank you Robert and team (sorry I didn't get your names, you were working so hard when you were at my house).

About 7 years ago, we purchased granite from Best Marble when we remodeled our large kitchen and bathroom. At the same time we remodeled our home, several of our friends were remodeling their own. Not only were my husband and I impressed and very happy with the service and quality work provided by Best Marble, but two of our friends could not believe how much better our granite installation turned out compared to their own. Several years later, we hired Best Marble again when my parents remodeled their own kitchen. My parents' contractor said Best Marble was the easiest and best company he had ever worked with. Fast forward to October of 2014 when we purchased a new stove. Sadly, the new stove was literally 1/18th of an inch wider than the place where our other stove sat. In a complete panic, I contacted Best Marble and spoke to the owner, Robert. He listened to my tale of woe and told me that he would send out one of his workers THAT SAME NIGHT to shave the granite for me so my new stove could be installed. Sure enough, his worker came out to our home, took care of the issue in addition to helping us put in the new stove AND cleaned up the mess. We were then charged a simple $100. We couldn't have been happier. In the meantime, I have spoken to a couple of building contractors who have told me that they can't believe Robert did that for us and only charged $100. One of those contractor's called me up and asked for Best Marble's phone number because he wants to send them business. We have been very, VERY happy with Best Marble and highly recommend them...not only for their excellent customer service, but for the quality work they do. They also have a wonderful selection of granite.

Best Marble and Granite Company installed our granite kitchen counter in 2006. We were very happy with the marble and their installation. In 2013 we noticed that the marble in front of the sink was cracking and the crack continued to lengthen over time. When we called Best Marble to ask how it could be fixed we were told that they would replace the granite totally at their expense because they realized the problem and felt responsible!! The new countertops were installed today. The workers were excellent and competent. We are very appreciative of Dwight and Robert because they felt it was their responsibility even it was at their expense.

I am a project manager for a local commercial builder. We specialize in large apartment and condo projects. Best Marble has become one of our go to marble fabrication and installation subcontractor because they can deliver on schedule and leave a fine finished product at the end. That is not to say they don't do residential and custom projects. Best recently fabricated and installed a custom kitchen in a upscale home for me. The edge design required a non standard ground edge and lamination. The final product was crisp and the matching of the veining through the lamination was some of the best work I have seen. I would recommend Best for your next project.

I was on my way to anther marble shop to finalize my decision on marble counters and decided to stop at Best Marble. So glad I did. My counters from Best Marble are beautiful and the workmanship is excellent. The installer showed up on time and left without leaving a trace of dust behind. Wow! Incredibly positive experience... I had the pleasure of being introduced to Robert and the Best Marble gang in early 2012 when I did a major home remodel including kitchen (granite and marble) and bath (marble). The business interactions were mostly handled by my general contractor, but the craftsmanship and customer service from Best Marble during this process was outstanding. A few months later I worked directly with Robert on granite counters in a kitchen/bar area for my backyard. Best's overall experience, attention to detail and "application knowledge" helped me make good decisions for an outdoor installation. As a bonus, my 'repeat customer' status rewarded me with an additional discount. Lastly, and most importantly, Best stands behind what they install. We were using a sponge to clean our honed absolute black kitchen counters that had an abrasive side to it. Unknowingly, when we scrubbed with the abrasive side we ended up scratching the honed finish leaving dull spots. Ouch! Not something you want in a brand new kitchen! Robert jumped in and sent one of his senior installers out who resealed the scratched surface for us restoring things as good as when originally installed. Needless to say we don't use that sponge on our counters any more:)! Bottom line is you can't go wrong doing business with Best!

Wonderful service at fair prices. I went to Best Marble on a recommendation from my contractor and I'm extremely happy that I did. I'm a complete newbie - just finished my first ever remodeling project on my first ever house, and I needed a lot of (stupid) questions answered. Robert was extremely patient with me, helped me pick out a slab of stone that fit my kitchen, immediately re-finished (I wanted a honed look as opposed to the usual glossy) samples samples of the stones I was interested in, and all around was a pleasure to deal with. When I had a concern over a minor installation detail, he got his installers out to my house again on a day's notice and they made everything perfect. Highly recommended.

You get mixed reviews from me. Robert is good at presenting his company at first visit. Second visit seemed condescending like another reviewer, calling me "honey". He did get a sheet of Silestone for me that he told me was hard to obtain. He also pulled a very nice piece of black granite without all the sparkles. Removing the previous tile was a big problem. there was no effort made to preserve the existing drywall--leaving big holes in the drywall. When I expressed my concern about this, I was told that either he (Robert) would fix it or his friend the tile specialist would make the repairs. Now, I'm a realistic person, aware that no demolition can't create some damage but the damage was beyond expected and closer to total disregard for what happens to the repair job needed after they leave. Later, I decided not to tile but paint, Robert refused to repair the drywall damage saying that his workers don't do that kind of work, (even though before he said he would fix the drywall holes). I also asked about a discount or sharing the cost of repairs and he refused..

We had granite installed by Best Marble around 2005 and were pretty satisfied with the company and the results. However, in April, 2012 we wanted to match the existing counter tops with a 9 sq ft granite top. We left a pattern and a sample of the granite. The manager said he would call us when he had the matching granite and that it was a very popular color. We went back to the store several times and were told that we would be contacted with a price and the availability of the granite. No phone call. So last weekend we returned to the store and asked the manager why we hadn't received a call, he responded with, (I didn't know the ball was in my court). Well, I ask you then, who's court was it in then?. After a short heated exchange we looked again (briefly) for a matching scrap piece when the manager called my wife (sweetheart) with a condescending tone. My wife responded to me, let's leave. To this the manager responded, (Take your material and get the hell out). We were shocked at his response and left. That same day we found another granite company to complete the job within one week a mile from Best Marble in San Leandro. Obviosly, we will never go back nor will we ever recommend Best Marble of San Leandro to anyone.

prices are reasonable, but quality could be much better. we got a veined "granite" (note that construction granite isn't actually geological granite, hate to burst your bubble) for our kitchen. robert, the owner's son said that they'd have to make a cut in the corner of an L shaped piece in order for it to not crack during transit. this is a load of b.s., i know because i've seen plenty of larger pieces transported without cracks. the real reason is that he didn't want to put more than 2 guys on the job. robert also said that he'd be able to perfectly match up the veins in the cut, but when the granite was installed the veins were off be about a half inch which just looks silly. had we known this was going to be the case we would have chosen to have the seam in a different spot or reconsidered even going with "best." when we brought this up with robert he said it was an industry standard cut. again, b.s. i've worked in construction as a painter, electrician, tile-setter and handyman so i know quality when i see it and i've seen plenty of granite countertops. "best" should be avoided.

This morning I called for marble countertop pricing & had the unfortunate pleasure of speaking with the estimator, Robert. Not only was he rude & sarcastic when I inquired about pricing, but he shocked me when he quickly became racist! He quoted me a price that I was surprised by. He said said "sounds like my pricing shocked you...well I'm not Chinese. Maybe you should try calling one of them." I was stunned, told him he didn't need to act like that & then hung up. I called back 30 minutes later to speak with the owner to let him/her know about my outrageous phone conversation with Robert. Well to my surprise, Robert is the owner! I told him I was disgusted by his comments (especially as the business owner!) & asked him, "how do you know I'm not Chinese?" He sarcastically apologized & followed up with a "little lady" voice - "would you like to call me again tomorrow to tell me how upset you are by my comments." What? He then went on to say that he gets people calling all the time to low ball him so that's why he acted the way he did. That's a sad, pathetic excuse. I never yelp, but this experience was so disgusting I felt I had to... So be warned, only call if you want to talk with a sarcastic, racist who clearly is so worn down by his business that he feels the need to put people & races down to make himself feel better.
