The customer service at Bay stone is completely horrendous. Please do not purchase any items from this store unless you want to regret your decision later. The sales person put the wrong unit in our order, rendering fewer items to be purchased. We asked for 35 sqf, but they only ordered 35 pieces. Then they claimed that it's our responsibility to check the unit of the order before we paid, and they were OK to make mistakes like that. When I called in to talk to their manager, they put me on hold for hours, claiming that they could not find the manager. Then they claimed that the manager was very busy with the customers and she doesn't have time to speak with me over the phone. The whole staff team took completely no responsibility regarding their actions and mistakes, and they will not pay their customers the basic respect after they take your money! Please go anywhere other than this store for your business.

Decent selection in the showroom, but overall a stressful shopping experience. Most of what is in yhe showroom is not in stock, which makes your purchase a "special order" (for which you have to eat the shipping cost) that you WILL have trouble returning. Which will of course be another shipping charge and some excessive percent restocking fee. Their adversarial and selective return policy requires you to optimize the amount upfront. Do not buy unless you are absolutely sure on the quantity and the fit. My recommendation is to go elsewhere. Plenty of choices in the 300 yrd radius.

I am now a Bay Stone customer for LIFE!! My contractor Moshiko from Golden View Renovation (another awesome resource) recommended I buy my tile at Bay Stone. Wow, did Brenda take care of me!! She made recommendations that I would have never considered and I left feeling excited NOT stressed about my bathroom remodel. Then, I strolled over to Bay Homes (In the same building so convenient!!!) and I was equally taken care of by Mehmet and the AWESOME manger Magit!! They quoted higher price initially but the sales rep was able to price match. I went with them because it’s a local store from where my contractor can pick up the tiles when required. The sales rep told me the tile would be available in a week, but forgot to place the order even after I had paid in full. Now it’s been a month and I still don’t have the tile. No one has been following up, every time I call to check the status they put me on hold for 20 mins. Frustrating experience.

I was recommended by my contractor to shop at this place for tiles so I did. Selections are good with high price tags of course. Anyways, I trust my contractor therefore went ahead ordered the floor tiles that was marked “in stock”, and had the sales Leslie helped me to check to make sure it’s in stock before I order. They said yes it’s in stock for sure so I went back with my contractor and truck to pick it up a few days later. At first, the warehouse crew gave me boxes of completely different tiles, when I questioned he insisted that was it. So I went to talk to the manager Ken to make sure. Sure enough it’s not the one and the one I ordered is “not in stock” and needs to be ordered from Los Angeles. I drove 40 miles to pick up plus paying my contractor to pick it up but nothing. Then they promised to deliver to my contractor’s house nearby (due to courtesy) but kept delaying the delivery date for 1 week so my contractor ended up doing a double trip for picking up these tiles. Then I was short for 2boxes so I need to order more, this time they charged a shipping fee of almost $100 for 2 boxes (worth about $100 as well). Frustrating experience with this tile company and also resulting in delayed project and associated labor costs.

Pricing is not displayed in the store. That makes it very difficult to browse and shop. When I asked the salesperson for the exact pricing for 4 different tiles, she took some time to get it from the computer and was very very unwilling to help me. She looked sullen. When I finally got the pricing, I realized that the prices are 2-3x more expensive than other stores like Lowes or Floor and Deco. It didn't make sense at all. Seems like pricing here is highly inflated. The free design service is also inferior compared to the service offered at Floor and Deco. At Floor and Deco, they even did a 3D visualization for me, but not a BayStone. I like the countertop design sold at Baystone, but nobody could give me the exact price. Very frustrating to shop here. Prices fluctuates and inflated.

They have great counter top selections to choose from. Jeff was helping us with the counter material and different design options. We purchased a porcelain countertop and couldn't be happier with our end results! We are also so happy with the fabricator Francisco who installed our porcelain counter top. We were looking for an experienced installer who knows how to deal with porcelain not only Francisco is experienced but he's also a certified porcelain installer. As an interior designer, my go-to when shopping with clients for all our tile and counter needs is Bay Stone Depot in San Jose, specifically working with Angel in the sales and design department. Not only does the showroom have a huge selection of finish materials for our projects, they are constantly updating their selections and showcasing new materials that are trending, as well as timeless and classic options. When presented with a project, Angel goes above and beyond in customer service to make sure everything goes smoothly from estimating the tile materials, keeping us updated on lead time and order status, and provides suggestions and options in the case that a client is looking for something in particular. If you're planning a remodel and need some expert advice, Angel is your guy! He is patient, courteous, and his expertise in the tile and stone industry is invaluable when considering choosing the right materials for your remodel project. PS: Just in case Angel is not available, the rest of the Bay Stone team is absolutely lovely and a pleasure to work with. We have used them twice now over the past 3 years. The first for our kitchen - quartz and tile floor and recently for remodeling our three bathrooms with floor and wall tiles. They have a fantastic selection covering all prices and options. Jeff the Bay Stone sales/designer representative was very friendly, helpful in guiding our tile selections. Not pushing, but honest in our direction. He was also very helpful in recommending contractors for counter and glass fabrication. We had left over quartz from the previous kitchen remodel we wanted to reuse for the bathrooms. Jeff recommended Francisco Morales (408-591-7087) for templating and fabrication of our three vanity counters. Francisco and his team were absolutely fantastic, high quality, responsive, efficient. They picked up the left over quartz (Cambria Summerhill), templated, fabricated, built a custom plywood base for the undercounter sinks, installed, caulked - all within 48 hours. I would totally recommend him.

YELP!!! Why did you pull this awesome review!?!? I'm reposting with long overdue pics!!! What's up Yelpers i'm finally renovating the Kitchen and both Bathrooms and I need countertops and tiles ASAP, these contractors work fast! Damn who would've thought that shopping for tile with your lady could be like a roller coaster of decisions and ideas. Anyhow, all these tile shops in the area off of E. Brokaw are practically alike. They all stock pretty much the same tiles, of course with some variations of different stock on hand and of course different price ranges and different service. I spent a few weekends now shopping for tiles and countertops. I've been trying to find this elusive Super White Quartzite! It looks like Carrara Marble but it's way more durable and stain proof. I did my research and I knew this was the material I had to have for my countertops...period. I checked out all the shops nearby like Bullnose, Tileshop, Bedrosians, Porcelanosa, Emser, Home Expo & Design, Terico, Apex, Uni & Tile & Marble and probably more. If I didn't visit them I either called or emailed inquiring about specific tiles and countertops I was looking for. Man I'm telling you I was on a mission! Practically every shop I went to is like a tile maze...tiles everywhere! Tiles for days! If the shop didn't have nice displays, the tiles were lined up almost like books on a shelf. A person can go bonkers looking at all these damn tiles trying to decide. First you think man I really like that colored glass mosaic, then next thing ya know you see this beautiful glossy white 1x4 herringbone and you're like ahhh that's the one. Decisions decisions! Do yourself a favor, know what look you're goin for whether it be modern, contemporary, gaudy, or cheap lol. Start with your wow tile, the one you gotta have, then work off of that. It makes it so much easier Hahahaa. Okay so now why the 5 Star review for Bay Stone??? Mr. Kenneth Eveland...that's why. Every shop I went to was just straight a waste of time with people who don't even want to help you. It's like why in the F(_)€|{ were you even hired!? Was it just to stand around, act like you don't want to help out customers and give back unenthusiastic, half assed uneducated answers!? Damn if only I could smack these people up side the head and say hey get with it. Well I guess I'll spend my thousands of dollars elsewhere. I feel bad for the store owners, all that potential business go bye bye. Only Bullnose, TileShop and Bedrosians were actually helpful...sorry though you just didn't have what I was looking for. But as for the rest...straight boo boo, garbage, don't even waste your time because time is money. Luckily for Bay StoMr. Kenneth Eveland is the only reason I went there. He was quick to respond to my email with pictures of the countertops I wanted. When I finally found the time to visit Bay Stone and personally see the quartzite slabs the service was on par. Surprisingly the first person who asked if I needed help happened to be Mr. Kenneth Eveland who was quick and enthusiastic to help me. We knew who each other was once I mentioned Super White Quartzite haha. He showed us to the area where the slabs are stored and even offered to get the overhead crane to move slabs so I could see all of them and make my picks. He even measured the slabs to make sure that we would have enough material. Now that's service! Turns out we have enough for the bathroom vanities too! I made my picks and $OLD bought 2 slabs. Easy as 1-2-3. After that Mr. Kenneth Eveland asked if we needed help with anything else...the lady and I looked at each other because at this point we were about to choke each other from the tile decisions. Thank goodness we both agreed on the countertops. Anyhow, he helped us out asked what look we're goin for and made solid suggestions. The guy knows the shop better than us so he was pulling out tiles that we didn't even notice or see when we were walking around the store. He made solid suggestions that matched the look we were looking for and we were able to settle on the tiles we needed for our project. The prices were comparable but you can't buy service like this. Boom! another purchase! Thank You sooo much Mr. Kenneth Eveland for simplifying everything, being patient, being knowledgeable, for making this overall experience easy breezy and sooo much less stressful than it should ever have to be. You rock and gave solid service which is one of the main reasons I went with Bay Stone and will definitely come back for future projects. Remember if you want above and beyond service without attitude then look no further, just holler at your boy Mr. Kenneth Eveland!

Had to come back to Bay Stone Depot today for some follow up stuff related to our home remodel. (What a journey!) We are about a year into the process and things are going well. It's unfathomable the details and decisions that are required. It's insane what it costs. It's agonizingly slow and city planners seem to delight gleefully in absolutely crapping in your cereal. BUT!! There's a ray of sunshine in this process and they're the people of Bay Stone Depot. We'd been referred previously by our amazing contractor. (If Bay Stone Depot staff are the rays of sunshine. Our contractor Om's Remodeling and our main dude Yuval "Yuvi " are literally the sun that our home is revolving around. ). Anyways. My point is. Home remodeling is equal parts suck. Pay. Ponder. Dream. Compromise and Pray with a splash of financial anxiety just to keep you up late at night. Bay Stone Depot is a sanctuary of nice people and stress free browsing. They're quick to accommodate reasonable requests and the service from Heidi and Kimberly was exactly how we remembered. We left Bay Stone Depot today with the same feeling we did last time. That we were valued and respected as customers even if we didn't drop big money or buy epic huge Louis Vuitton tiles. These folks seem to "get it " and they're classy style of service takes away some of the crappier parts of a home remodel. Still our absolute favorite vendor in this experience so far. Oh and our kitchen island is gonna make our kitchen the center of our home. Thanks guys !!

This review is long overdue. We ordered all of our stones and tiles for bathroom and kitchen from Baystone. There were a lot of delays in our remodel project that were outside our control so they had to store our stone in their warehouse for a while. We were pleasantly surprised that there was no damage in any of the tiles or stones while it was stored for each a long time. We were also impressed with how Franciso and his team installed the countertops- he did a fantastic job and we could barely see the seams in between slabs! His team also left the job site very clean after installation. We ordered a bookmatched waterfall edge quartz countertop and we noticed the veining of the waterfall edge did not line up at all. When we told Ken, he made us feel heard and he reassured us that they would take care of it. They helped us order new pieces from the manufacturer that were a much closer match and reinstalled it. Ken went above and beyond by reaching out to us regularly to give us updates. If I need more stones, tiles, etc in the future, I would definitely order from them again since they take care of their customers.

We had a great experience here! After touring several several slab yards, we came here on a whim. Ken was the person that helped us. We spent several hours here, looking at all the different stones they had. I was after a very very specific look for the slabs we wanted, and ken saw that I was having some trouble narrowing down on my choices. He was kind enough to allow me to take a couple floor samples home to think about it. After visiting a couple showrooms in Hayward to look at the full sized slabs of the stones we were interested in, my husband came back here and ordered our slabs. I'm such a happy customer and so thrilled! This place has hundreds of stones to look at. Highly recommended!

This review is for Francisco Morales. We were very pleased with him. He was on time, and very careful. He also cut out the plywood for the sink and cooktop and cut the holes for the faucets and the desk area. During his measurements, he created a template of the countertops and everything fit perfectly the first time during installation. He was also very knowledgeable and cleaned up afterwards. We would recommend Francisco 100% for any other job.

This is my second remodeling project and Bay Stone has been my "go to" place for tiles and counter top. They have a great selection of tiles and counter tops. The team, especially Ken, know their products well and they help you match different aspects to bring together a master piece. With our current project, we ran into an issue wherein a former employee placed an order for the wrong tiles. We opened the box a month after it was delivered and we realized that it was the wrong tile. We went back to Bay Stone and Heidi managed to get us the correct tiles and we were able to return the wrong ones. She went over and beyond to ensure that I got the correct product and on time. I was also able to return the old tiles and get a refund. All this was done in spite of the fact that a former employee was responsible for this error. I highly recommend Bay Stone and they are your go to place for kitchen and bathroom remodel. Ask for Ken or Heidi and you cannot go wrong with your remodel.

When we started in incredibly challenging task of remodeling our kitchen, we were lost. Bad service, bad vendors, flakey people, and people who take advantage that you don't know the ropes. We went into Bay Stone and instantly fell in love with a specific slab. It was early in our search and we wanted to be sure. We had to have gone to at least 30 places looking at slabs and nobody had the service or the style we were looking for. We kept going back to Bay Stone and had the pleasure of working with Ken. Got some leaks in both my bathrooms and at short notice had to jump into complete bathroom remodel projects. I usually take my time in making the selections and researching and reviewing the feedback on yelp etc. Through my research I found Adriana from Bay Stone and she is a hidden gem! She is super sweet, super helpful and more importantly extremely talented. She has excellent taste and is very intuitive on what the customer's tastes are and has a knack of quickly suggesting options. One quick visit she asked me to get pictures of my home to give her an idea on what my tastes are and literally within one hour narrowed down tile and vanity countertop for me and instantly I fell in love with them. However I spent another week looking at other options and talking to my own designer and finally I went back to the one Adriana picked for me. This is the fastest selection I ever made in all my home remodel projects and I absolutely love it. She is a rockstar and priceless for Bay Store! I went to Bay Stone because I ordered tiles from another vendor and I was told they would be here this week. Found out they are not going to be here and may not come in for a couple of months. We went to Bay Stone and Adriana Jimenez not only found my tiles I needed, in the quantity I needed it in, but can get it to me in 5 days!! She also helped me with my color palate and made some amazing grout choices that were much better than what I had originally picked. She is a ROCK STAR, very helpful, had the most amazing positive attitude. We appreciated so much Adriana Palomo's excellent customer service skills! We are novices at decorating, and she gave excellent recommendations on the color palette for our kitchen. I got very lucky to have Adriana Paloma as my sales associate. She is very knowledgeable and exceedingly helpful, personable, and friendly. And when you remodel your kitchen you really need a friend to help you navigate the ocean of choices and the process logistics. I should also mention that the store has a great selection of materials and very reasonable prices compared to some other places.

We have under gone 3 bathroom renovations and a fireplace renovation in the past 5 years and I can tell every time we did we got our tiles etc from bay stone. Fantastic prices and great selection. We are now under going a kitchen renovation and got the counter top slab and tiles from bay stone. We have always worked with Angel and I highly recommend working with him if you can. He went out of his way to find the tile I was looking for which was a grey frosted glass tile for the backsplash. He makes his customers feel like they are important and gives us excellent attention. Thank you Angel! Highly recommend this place if you are looking for a good variety and great customer care.

My boyfriend and I have been looking for a countertop for our kitchen renovation for months and could not find anything that we both loved for our home - until we came to Bay Stone Depot! Staff Adriana helped us on Saturday and was so wonderful to work with! She was knowledgeable and patient (we had a LOT of questions because we are new to this!) and she had a great sense of humor! Kimberly was amazing! She helped us throughout the process - from helping us understand the different options to placing the order and tracking delivery. She also ensured to expedite the delivery so we could make our timeline. The quartz slabs we bought were phenomenal! High quality and extremely beautiful. I worked with sales consultant Adriana Palomo. She was truly a brilliant representative. She had a great personality and fantastic ideas for the space I was creating in my home. I've gone to several places for tiles for my bathroom and several other businesses and the representatives literally ignored me as I walked through their stores. To have someone give the attention that she did was very refreshing. When I returned to pick up my tiles I had to make it a point to find and thank her for her service. I shared my ideas for my home with others in the store and they too were very receptive to my ideas. Adriana followed up with a call to see how the project was going which I also appreciated..... great work young lady!
