Atlas Granite & Stone is a great company to work with. Twelve years ago they replaced our kitchen countertops with granite and did a fantastic job! In 2012, when we were ready to remodel our master bathroom, we called Steve again. We had several bids from other companies from acrylic shower surround type companies to "granite" overlay companies, which are supposed to be quicker and less mess. Steve was able to give us the "real thing" for FAR less than what these other companies wanted to charge. Now we have beautiful travertine shower and floors and a new vanity cabinet with granite countertop. We are extremely pleased with the completed project. His crew seals off the area really well to keep dust to a minimum and they do a great job cleaning up. We will definitely be calling Steve for our next two bathroom remodels! Call Atlas Granite & Stone, you won't regret it!

I visited the showroom for specific quartz samples. Kate was so welcoming and listened and interested and gave advice. I am moving too far away for Atlas to do my kitchen but if I were closer I would hire them in a heartbeat based on the customer service. Keep up the good work Kate. Nice meeting you.

I had the best experience with Steve at Atlas, from beginning to end. He came by when he said he would and even managed to expedite things due to our guests arriving sooner than expected for Thanksgiving. Our countertops are gorgeous and his team did a beautiful job installing them. Thank you so much Steve!

We were looking for a small (48") granite countertop for our guest bath remodel. It was over 100° out, but Katy came out in the yard with us to see if there was anything there that would work. We found something, gave Katy the dimensions, she gave us a quote on the spot; which was right in line with what the prefab granite place just a block over gave us, but without the attitude and rudeness experienced there. She called a couple of times to get further instructions; Dale put everything up on a computer screen so I could see how it would fit, I took in my sink template and the sink...it looks great! Very easy to work with! Highly recommend.

Steve and his crew just completed installing 3 granite countertops in our kitchen and the results are beautiful. We are totally satisfied with the quality of the work and the way the project was managed. The entire project was done in 7 days. This is the second project Atlas has done for us. Steve's team is small and they work well together with Steve involved at every stage, so you never feel that the work has been subcontracted out. I especially enjoyed being invited into the shop when our slabs were being cut to watch the work and to have input on the layout. Steve also cut out a few extra pieces from the leftovers and finished the edges for us to use as cutting boards for no extra charge. The project cost was in the range we expected and well below one other quote we received.

There are not enough stars to rate Steve Z @ Atlas Granite & Stone. I would rate his service a "10". If you are looking for a custom, 1st class experience, contact Steve Z & his team @ Atlas Granite & Stone. Steve has a wonderful business manager, Kelley who is literally his right hand and she craftfully ties all of the project details together. Steve cares about his clients and helps bring vision to reality. He will show up day or night to make adjustments if necessary. Steve completed a project for us several years back and helped us find the perfect granite with the exactly detail that we were looking for & stayed within our budget. No matter how many times, I pop in & out of his shop, I am greeted with a sincere hello; Steve and Kelley are always eager to help. We are working on a new project now at our new home. We have been eyeballing the Taj Mahal quartzite for some time for a kitchen install . Steve only had 2 slabs available so instead of taking short cuts to "make it fit" & rush through our project, he came out to brainstorm & completed a 2nd measure to help us create a fabulous waterfall island as a phase #1 project. Because the Taj Mahal varies in color (we prefer the brown/cream color), he is now on a worldly hunt for for more of the same color although it's hard to find to in order to complete phase #2. Steve is patient & strives for excellence & he is the BEST of the BEST! I recommended him 1000 x's over.

Steve and his crew are an example of exemplary customer service and superior craftsmanship within this trade. My wife and I recently completed a full remodel of our master bathroom and chose Altas to do our full shower and vanity countertop. After shopping around at all of the various local stone suppliers, and speaking with different granite fabricators, I gave Atlas a call and spoke with Steve, the owner, and lead designer. He is knowledgeable, friendly, and was VERY generous with his time. We visited his showroom and were invited to see his fabrication shop, where the stone is cut. They use a computerized machine (CNC-style) with exact measurements, that gives you the ability to create various design applications for whatever you need. Steve went above and beyond to make sure the material we selected was priced reasonably, while still having the properties to allow for fabrication within our plans. Steve always answered his phone or replied immediately when we called or sent texts/emails, and was always very accommodating. He worked late hours to expedite the entire build and was always very professional in every aspect. We were on a budget, and went a little over ours with our project, however, I would gladly pay extra ANY DAY, after seeing this project go from start to finish so seamlessly and professionally. We feel so grateful to have found Altas for our project and will ABSOLUTELY recommend them to anyone looking to do custom stone fabrication for their projects. Thank you Steve!

Atlas G&S did a top class job replacing all the floors in my home while I was vacationing. Got excellent advice from Kelly re material and colors, and now the job is done according to the schedule we agreed I couldn't be happier ... left on vacation with an UGLY floor, and came home to a BEAUTIFUL floor. Thank you Kelly and Steve!!

Great attitude and fair value pricing on a small marble shelf I needed fabricated. Took in a small marble piece to have fabricated to size. Kelly took me out to the fab area and everyone was real positive on helping me out. She got a quote and said to check back in a week and it will be done. Checked back in a week and it was completed and the price was exactly what they quoted. No suprises and the piece fit perfectly in my cabinet. Quite a change from other places I had contacted. Which included should take about a month to, we dont mess with small stuff or "why do you want to make a marble shelf" Atlas had no problem helping me out.

WOW! Words can't describe what a beautiful job Atlas Granite has done to our home in Granite Bay. Working with them was really easy, got a quote and they were on the job in no time. They finished the job 2 weeks a head of schedule without cutting corners. The quality of the job was 5 stars. I will recommend Atlas to all my friends and family.

We were referred to Atlas Granite for their exceptional selection and pricing of unique granite. Kelley was an exceptional representative of their offerings and options in design. We immediately found the granite we fell in love with. We had our own contractor with us and he was also impressed with their full circle of assistance, choices, and designs. Within two days we had a quote from Kelley who helped with design and layout. Due to their business being so professional and complete, we had to wait for two weeks for the designer to come out for complete and exact measurements. In another two weeks, as promised, we have our beautiful remodeled master bathroom full wall shower, including benches. The beauty is beyond words. The crew was extremely professional and I would consider them exceptional artisans. I would recommend their full service again and again.

I had considered and gotten bids from five other companies. There are a lot of contractors out there that want business, but most are overpriced or put off doing the job for months. After talking with Atlas, and talking with a friend who had this company remodel her kitchen, I took the plunge. They could start immediately and promised the work done before Thanksgiving. I had them replace the counters in my kitchen and all four bathrooms. This included sinks, faucets, backsplash, and one stovetop install. The were done in 7 business days. Their employees were tidy with tarps all the way up my stairs and they were careful to tape plastic around doorways when they removed messy tile and grout. Their work was quality, the price was extremely competitive, and the selection of granite and quartz was beautiful. I will highly recommend them to my friends and will call them again if I decide to do more. Thank you.

After having not one but two contractors promise me quotes, only to never get back to me I was frustrated. Steve came right over and offered me a quote on the spot. They did what they promised. The crew tore out my old tile, installed new granite, along with a new sink and new cooktop. Yes we did run into a few snags like all projects do, but Steve was always there to make things right. I think many contractors can do a good job with stone but the big question is, will they return your calls? Will they be there when something doesn't go right? You need a contractor that you can trust. Kitchen remodels are expensive and you need to choose someone who will not just do a good job, but guarantee the work and see the project through from start to finish. This is a company you can trust.

Steve and his crew of craftsmen priced the job fairly for our kitchen remodel and completed it within the timeframe promised. Each member of the team took their job seriously and were attentive to detail. Three other people told us a sink in our island could not be done without spending thousands more, but Steve found a way to accomplish it, and within budget! Any time we needed Steve to look into a concern, he responded immediately, and we are confident he will be there in the future. We heartedly recommend Atlas Granite and Stone, and look forward to hiring them in the future for other remodeling projects.

Fantastic!! Steve and his team re-did our kitchen and bathroom in granite & marble and the results were simply stunning! They are true master craftsmen, not just "contractors". The guys worked late when needed, delivered the project on time and on budget and went above and beyond to make sure my wife and I were always informed and happy. It's rare to find this level of commitment to excellence in every detail. I highly recommend Atlas Granite & Stone!

Came down from Reno. I received a follow up message for Steve and have his information to arrange an appointment in the future. Atlas Granite and Stone did a wonderful job with our kitchen. Hoji is a true artist when it comes to matching granite with a great attention to detail. The installers were very professional and the results were perfect. Steve was very quick in responding to all our questions and needs. We would highly recommend Atlas Granite & Stone. For anyone who needs drywall work done during their remodel, we would highly recommend Azteca Drywall.

We recently had Atlas install granite in our kitchen. My overall experience with the company was frustrating. I had to call them for over two months to determine when we can get our granite installed. Once they have you signed on the contract the level of customer service drops! .No one ever seemed to know and no one communicated to me a timeline. This made it hard to plan for a house project as I had to empty out the kitchen cabinets etc. Overall the granite was installed beautifully. My only complaint was that there was wood exposed on the island on the bottom and they didnt seem concerned to have it covered as they said it was not part of what they had been contracted for and it was wood installed by the builder. I wouldn't have minded paying them to cover the wood as it was splintering and in my opinion hazardous. But they were so busy fighting me on the fact that it was not their fault. They offered to send someone to paint the wood and am still waiting months later. Would I call them again? No.

I worked here for just two weeks, and that was more than enough. By day three, I was already getting yelled at--apparently for not being "understanding"--despite zero training, no onboarding, and a job description that didn't align with reality. I was hired as a warehouse associate. Instead, I spent the entire time sweeping cobwebs off racks and guessing at what needed to be done, because there was no structure, no system, and no support. The owner, Steve, who boasts "40 years in the business," runs the warehouse like it's still 1985: no computers, no printed labels, no inventory tracking. Everything is handwritten and disorganized--and new employees are expected to magically know how to operate in the chaos. Steve got in my face four separate times during my short stay. Every morning I tried to take initiative--cleaning, checking the warehouse layout, staying busy--but even that drew criticism. When I asked questions or tried to clarify, I was told to "shut my mouth" and "only give yes or no answers." He made it clear I hadn't earned the right to speak. What kind of leadership is that? The job ad said no slab experience required, but he blamed me for not knowing how to cut slab--something completely unrelated to the role. And when I didn't position inventory the way he imagined, I was berated--despite never having been trained or shown any standards. This man regularly invades personal space and gets aggressive over things that make no sense. I witnessed him yelling in other grown men's faces, and they just endured it silently. It was intimidating. After he yelled in mine on the third day, I spent the rest of my time in constant fear of triggering another outburst. What hurts most is that I left a stable job for this one, and now I'm scrambling to figure out how I'm going to pay my rent. I gave this place a chance, and it crushed my spirit. Avoid this company unless you're looking for a lesson in how not to run a business--or how quickly a toxic environment can wear you down. Lastly, stop arguing with customers in their own homes. He has several years of negative reviews online and I literally watched him argue with someones wife and the man had to tell him to stop talking to his wife like that. Steve has a problem and I pray for his downfall.

Bad experience and they did not live up to their commitments!!! Worked with Kelley to schedule an install day for my bathroom. We specifically picked a day after the holidays so that their guys would be working over the holidays on the fabrication. I took a day off from work for the installation. Around 9:30am when no one showed I called and was told they never finished my quartz so I had to reschedule. Great...tell me that the day before, not the day of scheduled installation! When the team finally showed up to install on the rescheduled date, they did not arrive timely, took a long lunch and cracked a bathroom mirror. They called Steve and I spoke to him. He agreed to replace it, plus I have an email from them confirming the same. Guess what....never heard from them again. Oh...and did I mention that they charged me extra on-site for some resizing of my bathroom sinks. I paid them before they left, but Steve never reimbursed or fixed my broken bathroom mirror, which probably would have cost him less than $100.

Nice selection of granite but very disappointed in the overall results of installing granite countertops in Kitchen. Steve said it would be done in 21 days and took nearly 6 weeks. Created a lot of inconvenience and frustration around the holidays. Price for job was also exorbitant. Had two other better bids. Should have gone with them. If you want a truly high priced frustrating experience with no wow factor on the final job, not to mention rude communication in the front office, be my guest!

I called Atlas Granite to discuss a small remodel for my kitchen island. I spoke to Katy and she asked me to email pictures of my current island to her and she would give to the person who could help me. That person would call me back to discuss the remodel. That was 12 days ago. I have called many times to get a status on the review of my photos. Each time I was told that they would go in the back and find out the progress. Well, as of tonight no one as called me back. At this point it doesn't matter as I would not hire them for the remodel if they can not return a phone call

Had them remodel my kitchen and bathrooms awhile back, I was told by Steve he did not use sub-letters to do his work, that was not true. The work his tillers did was substandard. I had to insisted they redo the hall bathroom as tile work looked like it was done by a 3rd grader. They installed a new bay window in kitchen uneven and had to shim the sheetrock around the window to help hide the obvious crooked window. On the outside the stucco work around the window didn't come close to matching the existing stucco pattern, They also used gobs of sealer around new sliding door trim to try and hide the poor trim workmanship. The worse to happened after a couple of months the new wood flooring coloring started to peel off floor near a small leak in dishwasher that left a 3 inch circle of water on just one occasion. After multiple calls to get a warranty rep out to inspect the delaminating finish on floor I was told no warranty for water leaks. Who puts a wood floor in a kitchen with a sink, dishwasher, and water dispenser on a refrigerator door that won't tolerate a small amount of water? Atlas Granite did and refused to fix their mistake. Like other reviews here they could care less about customer service once they were paid. Beware they do poor work and do not warrant what they do!

Visited 3 granite showrooms today, I was specifically looking for this one and ended up visiting 2 others before finally finding this one tucked in off of Folsom Blvd., with very poor signage... Only to be met, not greeted by two of the rudest women! Clearly, they were not interested in helping me or making a sale, actually talking me out of it because they didn't want to be bothered! I guess they don't need the business.. I wonder if the owners agree??? This is really zero stars..

Atlas installed granite countertops and backsplash tile in my custom home in El Dorado Hills. Before the sale, Steve was professional and personable. After the deposit was paid, everything changed. Steve did not show-up for our appointment to execute the contract. I dealt with his office gal. His tile guy arrived to the job completely unprepared -- without any needed tools or materials -- no spacers, no rags and nothing to put down on my new hardwood floors -- as Steve had promised he would do. Steve was rude when I called and advised him that his tile guy was unprepared to perform the work. When the tile guy was done, the tile was applied unevenly and sloppily. The lines were crooked. When I told Steve that the work was unacceptable, he made an appointment with me to see for himself -- except, once again, he didn't show-up -- eventually had his office gal call to see if "I still wanted to meet with him" Really? When he arrived, he was filthy, covered in tile dust which blew off him and filtered throughout my house. Next, his granite countertop installer guy waited too long after applying the mastic, the mastic dried before it was positioned on the countertop and the granite would not seat flush to the counter leaving a nearly 1/4 inch gap between the granite and the rim of the kitchen sink. It should have been seated flush, leaving no gap whatsoever. Their solution was to fill the gap with grout. (Even Steve admitted that they didn't do a very good job) but at the same time rationalized that the grout would suffice. (Easy for him to say -- it's not his Gourmet kitchen) Eventually, about 1/2 of the poorly installed new backsplash tile had to be demolished and replaced. What an unnecessary and messy PITA!! And the gap between the sink and the granite countertop was permanent and forever unsightly. Steve would not owned up to this mistake and kept rationalizing. At various times during our contracting relationship, I would be in the middle of a discussion with Steve and his cell phone would ring and instead of being polite, he'd answer his cell phones, and I could clearly hear the extremely irate callers yelling at Steve about how bad the customer's job was. Bottom line, Steve runs his business out of his back pocket and his cell phone and I found him to be flakey and very disorganized and there is little quality control. He obviously sub-contracts customer's jobs out to other contractors that possess various levels of skill and competence. . My experience with Atlas was unbelievably unpleasant and stressful. I would never consider using Atlas for anything ever again! Buyer beware!
