Working with Armada has been a great experience. We had them put on a two bedroom two story addition. We are very impressed with the finished project and the timeliness of completion. Sam and Derek were our on-site team and they have put significant care into ensuring everything is to our liking. Sam FaceTimed us while we were away or made sure to call us over if we were available to chat preferences, keeping us engaged and involved as much as we desired. Any small issue identified was resolved quickly and to our satisfaction. The only issues really were about design and I wish we had a bit more time and energy put in from the design team to prevent them from occurring in the first place. Sam and Derek though went above and beyond to help with a sewer issue saving us significantly over what the city was trying to push. Armada had their crew ready to go as soon as the city approved permits. They kept to their schedule for project completion. Highly impressive to keep all the crew, permitting and inspections going over the three month project. The quote from Armada was on par or lower than many others while we were shopping around. There was less than 5% in change orders needed in findings or enhancements so the budget was well defined. Overall, very highly recommend Armada for any renovation project. If we ever have anything in the future I’m sure we’ll be back.

I hired Armada around August 2023 to help me remedy a previous poor remodel job with two of my small/mid-sized bathrooms in my home. The job would ultimately end up being practically a tear-down to the studs, with rebuild up to their standards. Effectively everything about the Armada process was great. A quick rundown of the process: - We began with conversations about what I wanted the project to look like, budget, and general timeline. - After an initial down payment, we moved to the design phase. A certain number of hours with their in-house designer were paid for with this, including a home visit where the designer could take measurements, get a general feel for the decoration/layout/style of the rest of the house, and have a conversation with me about other things, such as which elements would stay (tubs, hardware, etc.). - Tile, materials, paint, etc. were then selected. 3D renders were made of how the project would presumably look, so that I'd have an idea of what I was buying in to. These renders were allowed to be rejected, altered, etc.; at one point, I completely scrapped the look of the master bathroom that I was going for so that we could go with something more modern. - After this began construction timeline; construction began in February 2024 and was estimated to take 6-8 weeks. Construction did end up completing in this timeline, maybe even slightly faster, with no corners cut. - Everything during construction was very professionally handled. Honestly, from day one when they put up plastic walls to protect the other rooms in my house I was impressed. - The in-house professionals were super knowledgeable. The tile guy in particular knew what questions to ask me, had different options prepared, was easily able to take on requests that I gave him, and the tile in both of the showers is gorgeous. Floor and baseboards as well. - My project manager was quick to respond to any issues, from over text to coming to the house that day to drop off materials that subcontractors would need. He was also continuously on top of scheduling teams to come to the house and take care of work. In the timeline of construction there was very little downtime. - The crews kept their work areas very clean. Large trash hauls were handled every so often, and construction never felt overbearing. My only negative to raise would be to ensure that whatever is discussed makes it onto the final contract. Two things I had at least informally discussed did not make it on to the final document: - Moving a heated towel rack to another location - A small niche in the shower for resting a foot while shaving The final cost was also a bit higher than my initial expectation- around $80k for both bathrooms. I have not done comps to see how that compares to other companies, but the quality of the work is high and I am very happy. These are small concerns that are incredibly easy to follow up on. I would highly recommend Armada.

Armada has been great to work with. They just completed our custom home, and we couldn’t be happier with the finished project. Derek and Sam (our contractors) were very easy to work with, very approachable and understanding. They made some complicated things happen for us and walked us through the entire process with patience and guidance. Like any big project there were speed bumps along the way, but they managed it all really well keeping us informed. We had a particular design vision in mind, and they worked with us like a team, making sure every detail turned out exactly how we wanted.

Hats off to the Armada Design and Build Team. From Ryan to Emma to Greg. The remodel of our master bath was relatively seamless. Their quality of attention to detail was superb. Greg Gordon’s coordination of the project was outstanding. Would highly recommend Armada’s support staff and artisans. 5 out of 5 STARS to all. Jim & Terri

We recently had a renovation completed by Armada, and I cannot recommend them highly enough. From start to finish, their team demonstrated an exceptional level of professionalism and expertise.Robin and Omar, in particular, were outstanding—they were incredibly responsive and attentive to every detail of the project from start to finish. What truly set Armada apart was their commitment to addressing any concerns or issues swiftly and efficiently. Whether it was a minor adjustment or a more significant challenge, they handled it with great care and transparency, ensuring that the project always stayed on track. Throughout the entire process, the quality of their work and their communication made a world of difference. Armada is a top-tier construction company that truly goes above and beyond, and I would not hesitate to hire them again or recommend them to anyone looking for reliable, detail-oriented professionals.

==The short version== Our experience with Armada has been exceptional. Here's why: 1.The team members—Gregg and Derek—were not only professional but also incredibly respectful, patient, and attentive. 2.The quality of our new space met our expectations, delivering on our desire for a modern, open floor plan with a spacious kitchen. 3.The post-move-in support exceeded our expectations, with Derek promptly addressing any issues and ensuring our satisfaction. Despite encountering a few minor flaws, which is common in projects of this scale, Armada's dedication to resolving them thoroughly and promptly left us completely satisfied. We wholeheartedly recommend Armada to anyone seeking a reliable and high-quality renovation service. attaching a lot of photos as reference!!! ==Long story with honest reviews== From the outset, our journey with Armada has been marked by professionalism, dedication, and outstanding service. When we embarked on our project, we had clear goals in mind—to transform our dated, cramped space (1980s house, so many walls to divide the space) into a modern oasis that suited our lifestyle and preferences (we want an open floor style, with addition to extend the house). This vision was realized thanks to the expertise and support of the Armada team, led by Gregg, Derek, Yana and Johnason Throughout the process, Gregg's experience and patience were invaluable. Despite the challenges posed by our limited budget, Gregg worked to ensure that our dreams were realized within our means. His regular communication and willingness to address our concerns, no matter how small, instilled confidence in us from day one. During the build phase, Derek's expertise and hands-on approach were evident. Despite encountering unexpected issues, such as a leaking pipe and 2nd floor joint space design challenges (with 2 different ceiling heights), Derek quickly found solutions and ensured that the project stayed on track.his proactive approach to problem-solving put us at ease. However, it was during the post-move-in phase that Armada truly impressed us. Derek's dedication to ensuring our satisfaction was evident in every interaction. He promptly addressed any issues we raised, going above and beyond to make sure that every detail met our standards. From fixing minor flaws to addressing structural concerns, Derek and the Armada team left no stone unturned in ensuring that our home was perfect. (in details, after we lived in the new house 6 months later, we found some minor issues, they still sent contractors to fix them right away, without any cost, very responsive and responsible!!!!) I n conclusion, our experience with Armada has been nothing short of exceptional. Despite the inevitable challenges that come with a renovation project, their professionalism, expertise, and commitment to customer satisfaction shone through at every stage. We are thrilled with the results and would not hesitate to recommend Armada to anyone seeking a reliable and high-quality renovation service.

I and my family are enjoyed for the house extension and remodeling project done by Armada Design & Build Inc. Both consultant Gregg and general contractor Derek are every easy to work with, and responsible for project scheduling and job quality. Their provided recommendations which improves overall living comfortableness and save us time and efforts to do it post remodeling, i.e. installing A/C system during remodeling with air return on second floor. We are very satisfied with their job. I'd highly recommended them for the remodel and build projects.

I did an expensive remodel to my condo including removing walls, updating three bathrooms, installing HVAC, a bar, and updating and refinishing floors. This was my first time doing any project of this scale and I'm glad I had Armada to walk me through each step. The design process was very thoughtful and included multiple meetings with the designer to work with me and understand my design goals and style. We came up with three options to choose from, but borrowed standout bits from each. The lighting in particular stands out as very well done and I get compliments on the choices from friends and professionals. Once we had a finalized design, I met with my contractor team, Sam and Derek, who were personable, patient, and professional in helping me through all stages of the project. Sam became my main point of contact once the construction started and he was very responsive any time I messaged him. We had to contend with your typical HOA struggles and Sam was very communicative and helpful in alleviating any worries the HOA had while working with me to come up with solutions to any problems that arose like protecting the exterior walkways and noise management. All said and done the project took about 5 months and thanks to Sam and Derek it was exciting and educational to watch the project progress. As is expected in any major project in a building from 1962, we encountered some unexpected complications due to the older building's idiosyncrasies, but Sam and Derek were quick to communicate them and talk me through options and costs to address them. As things neared completion and we began getting into the weeds they made sure they had me onsite to review progress and note anything that needed to be fixed or changed which is common when you have a major remodel. Sam and his team were quick to make adjustments to ensure that the quality loved up to their standards. They've also encouraged me to stay in contact with any questions I have or adjustments that I might notice once I've fully moved in and lived there for a bit which is extremely helpful. Overall, I'm extremely happy with how the renovation turned out. It's gorgeous, functional, and all happened according to schedule. I highly recommend the Armada team for their talent, professionalism, and skill.

Derek from Armada has been so responsive in dealing with our punch list at the end of our remodel. Today I mentioned a need and same day he had someone at my home that fixed our problem in less than 15 minutes. It’s been great working with Derek and I will definitely deal again! Thanks Armada.

Armada Design/Build – Alex, the owner, runs a first-class operation. My wife, Kathy, and I had two large interior renovation/design projects that I’ll simply call the upstairs project and the downstairs project. We interviewed three different companies and eventually requested initial design drawings, cost estimates, and timelines from two. Initial cost estimates were all similar; designs were creative; but timelines were quite different. We selected Armada because of the start dates and timeline for each project, and equally importantly, we really liked the people! The design phase for the upstairs project was challenging because we knew our functional requirements but could not envision a layout. Craig Bartel was our assigned designer, and he was perfect for us. Very patient. During meetings he displayed his computer layouts on a big screen and provided take home printouts and PDFs for us to study further and edit for the next meeting. He brought great ideas to the project. Originally, there were three bedrooms, a rec room and a shared bathroom. Craig’s design created a master bedroom with an en-suite bathroom, walk-in closet and a study/office. It added a new ¾ bathroom to serve the two remaining bedrooms and included an extensive built-in bookcase in the hallway. Throughout the process, Robin Briggs kept a detailed spreadsheet of the estimated costs as the design project evolved, and she helped tremendously with hardware and finishing suggestions to keep us within budget. The downstairs project was a kitchen, family room and powder room renovation. There were structural design requirements to replace a supporting post and pony wall separating the kitchen and family room with a support beam, opening the entire space. It also included adding a large picture window to the breakfast nook. The structural engineer they consulted excellent as was the permitting process with City of Kirkland. My wife Kathy is a geologist and was very particular about the extensive stone work installed downstairs and in the upstairs bathrooms. Nick and Natalia at Atlantic Stone and Tile were outstanding subcontractors for Armada. They spent considerable time with us in the final slab selections, finishing and installation. Their work was flawless. Project execution took the upstairs and the downstairs spaces down to floorboards and studs. The key person for us was Greg Gordon, our assigned project manager. He was incredible! Greg’s coordination of the subcontracting plumbers, electricians, painters, floor finishers, cabinet, lighting, tile, carpet, wallpaper and appliance installers seemed effortless. He was onsite and met with us frequently. He was very easy to reach by phone or text, even after hours and weekends! He was extremely responsive to all our needs and delightful to work with. The projects finished on budget and very close to on time!! In short, Armada Design/Build was an outstanding choice for us. We went to them with a high-end project, and we’re delighted with what they delivered.

We recently completed a complete kitchen renovation with Armada. We have had some previous renovation experience, and we were very happy with the Armada process starting with design through construction. Pricing and schedule were transparent (important to us) and reasonably on target (also important to us). As the project progressed and questions arose, we came to solutions that made sense for both parties. Armada was conscious of our constraints (we had continuity through our sales person Robin) and we were able to preserve the majority of our requests and anticipate unknowns through the design process (with our designer Craig). Execution was very smooth and it was clear that Armada’s crews (and on-site project manager Jacob) were focused on getting the job done well. Jacob constantly communicated what was going to happen next in the project, and I never felt like I had unanswered questions. We were supported by the team in the Armada office as well. The actual construction process was smooth, and Armada made accommodations for our cats and children that made living without a kitchen for a few months bearable. And now that we have our brand new kitchen - it works well, and we don’t have any regrets choosing Armada.

At the end of the day, I can't say enough good things about Derek and Aya at Armada. The design process made us feel heard and valued. Aya was quick to assist throughout the project and gave us confidence along the way. Upon completion of our project, our vision was realized. Derek was our project manager and I will always sing his praises. Derek cared more about delivering us a beautiful, quality home than we did – and that’s hard to come by. Derek’s patience, understanding, and kindness during an inevitably stressful process is invaluable. Sam, our superintendent, was a huge help as well – even spending his entire weekend dealing with some unexpected circumstances at the construction site. Sam’s attention to detail and diligence shine through at every step. Armada delivered us a home that THEY are proud of. That speaks volumes.

4 years later... Armada's team completely remodeled 2 bathrooms for us in 2020. This was our 3rd major remodel and the easiest yet. It was completed within close to budget and in only 7 weeks. Now, 4 years later, I can report it's held up great. Every morning I'm thankful for our nice bathroom space. Thank you, Armada!

We hired Armada to remodel our main floor earlier this year, with most of the work focused on our kitchen and family room. This was a full remodel of the kitchen — everything was completely torn out, leaving the inner walls and studs completely exposed, and even replacing an existing window with 2 new windows (in different locations) — and then a beautiful luxury kitchen was built back. Other work included fully redoing the cabinetry in the family room, taking down a dividing arch (and associated columns) from our living/dining rooms, replacing the carpet in the living/dining rooms and office with hardwood, replacing lighting fixtures, adding new lights, and even building-in the (existing) subzero fridge into the garage. The end result is phenomenal and we cannot be more pleased. In short: - The quality of the work is outstanding - attention to detail, design, pride in the craftsmanship throughout; - In addition to our own happiness with the result, we have gotten consistently excellent feedback from friends and visitors, including folks from within the trade who would know — e.g. the City inspector who came to sign off on the work/permit at the end said it was one of the nicest kitchens he had seen in 25+ years as an inspector, the air ducts cleaning company owner (who does our annual winter cleaning) noticed the quality of the work and asked for a referral to Armada for project he was personally looking to do; - The design itself has some unusual innovation regarding the windows which came out of excellent work by both Briana (designer) and Alex (owner) in looking to address our specific requests related to sunlight with privacy — other vendors we spoke were not willing to try new things or did not have the expertise to do so; - The project management was great, Chip kept us fully informed of status and made sure things occurred when committed and any concerns/questions were promptly responded to; despite the inevitable challenges that arise with a major project of this magnitude (3 months), including have to deal with Covid related uncertainty and new regulations, Armada delivered within a week of the original estimate; - Armada’s crew were all clearly experts in their own areas of specialty, and did high quality work throughout; - Overall, Alex and the Armada team were highly professional and never cut corners even when it would not have been visible; a simple example — they installed new flooring even in spots below the new appliances that no-one could see except possibly briefly when the appliance would be replaced at some point in the very distant future. Many vendors would have not worried about the details that were not visible — that was not the case with Armada. While Armada is not going to be the cheapest quote you get, I’m confident they will be the best at a reasonable price. I am a frugal person by nature, and yet as a result of this project I’ve gone from initially skeptical to convinced that their work is completely worth what they charge. We are now looking to do another project with them (a new basement wet bar). I’ve attached some pictures showing the in progress and end state of the kitchen.

We worked with Sam and Derek on a full home remodel, including converting our garage into a beautiful new living space -- and we truly can't say enough good things. From start to finish, they were the types of professionals you hope to find but rarely do. They were approachable, responsive, and highly organized throughout the entire project. Any time we had questions or concerns, they listened and offered expert-level guidance while also being flexible and incredibly accommodating, especially when it came to the inevitable handful of change orders. Nothing was ever a problem, just another opportunity to get it right. Sam and Derek are the real deal -- thoughtful, efficient, and just great people to have on a project of this size and complexity. If we could give 6 stars, we would. Easily one of the best things about this remodel was getting to work with them. Highly, highly recommended.

I talked with Armada in the past and their quote was more then another design/build company I went with. Ultimately, the other place left out so much from their initial quote that I ended up being exactly where Armada said the project costs to be. Went back to them for a bathroom remodel and everything was great Appreciate their thoroughness and easy process.

Armada did our kitchen remodeling this October. We are quite happy with both the result and how the company handled the process. First, the quality. Everything is done neatly. I really appreciate that they paid extra efforts to fit all pipes, the dispenser and the RO filter with tank in tight space under the sink in such way that it also fits a full-size garbage can. I personally like how neatly tile is laid, because I have some experience laying tile in past. All spaces between tiles are straight and nicely adjusted and tiles lay flat and evenly. Cabinets are installed accurately, all the spacings/distances are precisely leveled. All kitchen appliances are installed properly and handled with great care. Painting is done very well, with no runs/paint spots or uneven tint. The process. Armada started on-time, with no delays and finished the same day they promised. Work area was closed by plastic curtains to keep dust away from other rooms, floors covered to prevent any damage (and no damage was done to anything). Work crew always appeared on-time. Everyone was polite, friendly, and all options were negotiated with us before the work is done. Really, nothing to complaint. We had great help from Armada with choosing tile, cabinets, countertop, etc., so all looks in same style, which was a plus for us. My personal takeaway from the project is that since Armada does everything on time and fast, we need to act fast as well with selecting materials/colors and providing new appliances. Would I hire them again if I need? - absolutely! I am actually planning to delegate another improvement in my house to Armada in the next few months.

I hired Armada to remodel my living room and kitchen. They did wonderful work remodeling the space, putting in new floors and tilts that I selected from their show room in Bellevue. Our house was built in 1967, and it's a split level where the downstairs was only really partially finished, and not professionally. We wanted to redo the 3/4 bath, create a new room making the massive utility room into an additional room, and update trim and doors throughout. All this included new flooring, paint, and trim. We started looking for contractors, like everyone else, not long after the pandemic started. We talked to freelance individuals and companies but never got further than an initial bid. Most either never returned our calls, bid outrageously high, or turned us down flat. We even tried to start by ourselves, but my wife and I found we simply did not have the energy to work on it given our other obligations. We got a referral from a neighbor for Armada. She had them renovate her kitchen and upstairs living areas and was extremely happy with it. We called them and they were very responsive, having a representative out to meet with us and hear about the project in just a few days. They were great to meet with and didn't seem bothered with the size of the project nor with our limited budget. In short order, they came back out and measured all the things, had us work with their designer to create the new layout we wanted, and gave us a final bid to approve. We made some small changes and signed off on it. They were able to start in just a few weeks and said they'd be done in 10 weeks or so. One thing we learned from this process is any changes should be re-worked on the design pages. Though we received multiple "its not a big deal, it'll be clear" or "even if they put it in, it can be taken off" comments, the biggest headaches were a result of the printed plans not being updated or mis-measurements and us having to work with the project manager to correct it. For instance, the tile guy tiling for a cabinet sink on the plan, when we had long changed it to a pedestal sink which was sitting in the garage to be installed. Or a last minute change to have them build a mantel because the designer had not measured correctly so the one ordered didn't fit. The project manager was the hero we needed. When problems and unexpected extras came up, as anyone who's watched HGTV knows always do, he handled them quickly and professionally, often without the overall cost going up. In the end, we came out maybe 5% over what had been budgeted, which was well under the 20% I had been expecting. We are quite happy with all the work, and encourage ensuring the final plans are changed in the computer design and cross check some of the measurements to save everyone from a headache.

Armada built our house 2018 - 2019. While, as with any large and emotional project like building a home, some conflicts are unavoidable but even in those situations we were always able to jointly find a solution. We respect Alex Shikhanov and know he is an honest man who stands by his words and care about his projects. One of the things we really appreciated was that Alex never required payments in advance unless he really had an expense to cover. Armada's framers and carpenters are also very friendly and easy to work with. We're very happy with the way our house turned out.

My husband and I were very pleased with the work that Alex and his crew did at our home. Their prices were reasonable and Alex was very helpful in giving us design ideas as we did a complete remodel of our kitchen and 2 bathrooms. He gave us a detailed timeline for when different things were happening, so that we could plan our lives around it. In particular, we liked the fact that Alex would redo something if it didn't meet his expectations or ours. When unexpected things happened, like a tile being out of stock, Alex took us immediately to select a new one, so that the project was not delayed. We were also pleased with his prompt follow-up after the project was finished. We would definitely hire him again.

The people putting in the labor have been great, but Armada has been extremely frustrating to work with. It has been now been 4 months for an estimated 7 week project, and there are still items left unfinished (missing cabinet hardware, garbage disposal switch). There is zero communication from them unless I reach out first, and even then many messages go ignored. Contractors come and go without any warning, even on weekends, which makes planning around the work impossible. I understand supply issues when it comes to cabinets, but there is a clear lack of disorganization and respect for the homeowner's time when weeks go by without any of the other work being done. I do love our new kitchen. The design is great (although the designer working with us has now left the company). The quality of the cabinet installation, countertops, tile, and flooring are fantastic. I just wish it was finished!

A project that was supposed to be finished in November is still not done. We've been provided with lots of excuses but little resolution. We were promised that Armada had teams of skilled tradesmen. We had many quality control issues throughout and struggled to get Armada to respond. There was little to no respect for the fact that we were living in the home and the majority of the work was after hours and weekends. The owner responded when I left a negative review and then disappeared again. The project is still not done and we have nothing but regret for our decision to go with Armada.

Consultant came to the house and provided an estimated and we did not hear back for over two weeks. I sent several messages through email and text. Horrible communication and do not recommend unless you want unreliable service.

We came in to look for a countertop. A lady greeted us and took us to the quartz section. When I asked what are the prices of their prices she started saying that she can't really tell and only when they come in house to do measurements they will be able to do an estimate, which sounded strange as any other place we've been to gave us per ft prices. Then when she heard we are considering Ikea cabinets she became nasty and started saying things that we should ho to Ikea to choose the counter top and not their store. Also that Ikea cabinets will not be able to hold their quartz. Then when we wanted to go and see wood options she started saying that those options are so expensive. It was very unpleasant experience as she continued pointing out that their store is expensive and if we are doing ikea we shouldn't be looking at their products. Horrible judgmental attitude.

Reach out to them for a quote on a kitchen and bath remodel, had to text over and over to get a reply. Once we got a person she ignored us for other 3 weeks. If they are swapped just say it instead of trying to take on more customers.

Terrible company that cannot deliver. We contacted Armada in early October for a kitchen remodel. Total of $150,000 project. We were told the design process should take about 2 weeks and that we might even have the project completely done by Christmas. Six months later we haven't even started the project. The designer Briana missed date after date in coming up with any designs. When she finally did come up with drawings they were AWFUL. Our entire proposal from them was an absolute joke. After 5 months of waiting not a single item on the entire proposal was correct. It said we had 18 steps in our house (priced per step). We actually have 13. It said our house was 29 feet wide. It's 26. It goes on and on. I raised hell at this completely incompetent work we waited FIVE MONTHS for and got assigned a "Manager" Charlie. He came out and measured our house and told use we'd have an accurate and proper proposal next week. Finally! Somebody who'll take our project seriously right? Nope. A month later and still we're just getting more delays and more excuses. Keep in mind, we didn't change ANYTHING. All we asked for was for the numbers to actually be accurate. If I can't even get a quote from them in 6 months why would I ever trust them to actually begin construction? We are currently fighting to get our deposit back. I highly recommend you don't trust these people.

Rude and unprofessional.. My HOA had previously worked with Ryan from Armada and was going to hire him to repair water damage in our unit. When I spoke with him over the phone he was extremely rude and dismissive from the very first conversation we had. He didn't hear any of the few questions I had about the process and expected timeline for the repairs. Instead he spoke to me in a demeaning tone and kept repeating the same thing over and over again instead of hearing what I'm asking and attempting to provide an answer. He insisted on coming out to evaluate the job twice before scheduling a day to get started on repairs and gave a two day window when he might stop by to do his second evaluation. When he showed up to the unit Friday afternoon without advanced notice and the onsite manager was not answering his phone to provide access, Ryan stated that he's not sure he wants to do this job anymore and he won't be able to finish it in 7 to 10 days anyway - something I had asked about at the very beginning. Then he hung up on me. The timeline for the job was a pressing question for me as a family member is scheduled for upcoming surgery and we were hoping to at least have the drywall patched up by then. Realistically, for me, this is a blessing in disguise, since Ryan would have clearly been very difficult to work with and god forbid I had questions or issues with their work - I can only imagine the frustration I'd be dealing with when trying to communicate with him about them. It's just unfortunate that we ended up wasting nearly a week as a result of this. Bottomline, if Ryan this is best foot that this company has to put forward when dealing with customers, I doubt they'll be in business much longer. Don't bother wasting your time with them. Please don't review this business if you received a freebie for writing this review, or if you're connected in any way to the owner or employees.
