John Clark at Absolute was an answer to prayer! John was referred to me by the backsplash company (Custom Floors & More) that I used in Shiloh, IL. I had already gotten a lot of bids from other countertop companies. Absolute is affordable luxury. Their show room is extensive, their customer service is welcoming, and their personal investment is peaceful. John Clark also saved us money by encouraging us to do the prep work ourselves. He gave us advice to remove the planter shelf, which I was hesitant to do. But, we are so glad at how much more open that area is now without the planter shelf! Also, the sink that I had ordered was smaller than I needed. The digital measurement guy encouraged me to go bigger, and to try a different material that would match my appliances. I did what he said and we love our new, bigger sink! Absolute are experts in their field and they work fast and we had new kitchen counters in no time!

I love my new countertop! Sara at Absolute is the perfect person to work with. She was so patient and gracious as we went through the many choices and I finally picked out a beautiful Caesarstone countertop for my bathroom. Sara was very professional as she made sure my countertop was installed to my exact specifications. Sara sent Mike, Absolute expert installer, to install my bathroom countertop and Mike also did a beautiful job of repairing my granite kitchen countertop which had been installed ten years ago.

Sara was great to work with on the buy side of our purchase & the Absolute Granite techs did a nice job installing our vanity countertop, shower seat, and tub deck surround including a follow-up visit to fine-tune the holes for placement of the vanity faucets. We chose Absolute because they came well recommended, knowledgeable and helpful in the process, and were competitive on cost.

We have used Absolute Granite 3 times. Most recently we.finished our basement and needed countertops for a bar area. Everyone at Absolute was great to work with from the salesman to the installers! My choice to go with Absolute Granite was random and I was apprehensive not knowing the quality of their work and how prompt the work would be done even after Sara said the whole process would take three approx. weeks. I was pleasently surprised and pleased with the results as the process was simple just as scheduled. I could not be happier with my granite countertops. Absolute is a family owned and operated business and they know what they are doing. The sales team and installers could not have been nicer and they were great to work with. My husband and I had a great experience at Absolute recently for our outdoor kitchen. Everyone from the sales team to the install team were professional, knowledgeable, and communicative. Our installation actually happened earlier than scheduled, which was amazing. I felt like the pricing was transparent, which was different than previous experiences at granite/marble places. We visited Absolute, viewed their granite slabs, and our salesman, John, gave us a few other granite distributors, which made it easier to select the correct one. We picked out the slab, Absolute used a laser and computer to measure our kitchen, and 1 1/2 weeks later the top was installed. It was absolutely PERFECT! I used an independent contractor for my kitchen, and he also had a fabricator he suggested. We gave him the info re the slab we chose from the granite distributor, and his price was 70% HIGHER installed than Absolute, on the exact same slab! Their work is excellent and we highly recommend their business.

I'm very pleased with my Danby marble kitchen counter top. The folks at Absolute did a great job with the template and were excellent with scheduling. Luis at their production facility was awesome with the layout, making sure to match the veins of the marble when making cuts. The crew were prompt when installing it and cleaned up before they left. I was so happy that one month later I also used them for my bathroom vanity top.

John C. our salesman, Doug the templator, Vicki in scheduling, Luis who helped us with layout of the templates on our slabs, DJ and Jason who installed and John H. who did removal and reconnects THANKS to all. Although competitors told us we must have a seam on one counter, Absolute did not need to seam. Every part of the job was on time and on schedule. Highly recommended.

Sander Coovert and his team were incredibly pleasant to work with. My husband and I knew nothing about granite and they walked us through everything and never tried to up sell us on anything. They are extremely responsive, were ahead of schedule ( even moved up an install to accommodate our schedules), and were priced extremely reasonable. The customer comes first with them. We will definitely call Absolute the next time we have any granite work!

Back I went to Absolute because everywhere else in the area for direct to consumer remnants just sucks. Their prices are good for remnants and the responsiveness is excellent. Not to say I haven't had a few issues each time, however. The first major problem was documented in review 1. I made sure that I was CLEAR this time in the sink mounting. For reference, this piece of black honed granite for a a vanity console top, fabricated from a remnant for pickup (no install or measurement) is $750. Mitered edges are labor intensive and I get that. I was good with the price. My only issue is that one side is slightly longer than the other such that it doesn't sit flat on the console base. The measuring tape and level finally answered this for me. That said, I've gone months without a sink so I'm making this work and it's gorgeous.

I was excited about the prospect of having new granite countertops installed in my kitchen. I was even considering having the bathroom countertops redone as well. I did a lot of research and ended up calling Absolute. After calling, I was transferred to Mr. Clarke. I am brand new to this process and was hoping for some friendly and helpful guidance. Instead, it was like pulling teeth to try and get any information. I did get a quote from Mr. Clarke, but it was for the cheapest granite money can buy. I dont know about granite... this may have been a great product overall, and I appreciate seeing the costs, but was also hoping for a quote on Category C or E. I was also curious about the edging options and costs. After asking for the quotes, I got no reply by the next afternoon. I simple "hey I am working on those and just give me some time so I can be as helpful as possible" would have been great. Soooo then I had to follow up. Then immediately I got a reply with the basic edging costs. Nothing on the other granite category options. Only the bare minimum effort here. Next, he doesnt work on Saturday but said another person can "take my file going forward" but doesnt copy her in on the email or anything else. Based on his tone, I started feeling like my potential business was somehow an inconvenience for him. I expressed this and he was defensive and blamed me. After I replied to the snarky email, he called me to "explain his side." He was again defensive, talked over me and put the blame on the customer. My daughter and I were planning to drive there tomorrow to pick out our granite. After dealing with Mr. Clark, we can scratch that 80 mile round trip drive off of our calendar. Like I said, I was looking for friendly and helpful guidance. I found NONE of that from Absolute. What I DID get in its place was a lack of enthusiasm, snarky replies and customer blame which I have absolutely NO patience for. Potential Customers: This experience was PRE-SALES. Can you imagine the tone and service during or after the sale?! I can. Now I am looking for another company to do business with and start all this from scratch again. Good times.

They have a good selection of Granite. The prices are a bit high but reasonable. The sales staff is nice. We ended up buying granite for our kitchen. Unfortunately, when the guy came to make the templates he was not clear that some of the wall cabinets should be removed so the countertops could be installed. Keep in mind the cabinets were installed by the cabinet makers who were also never told by Absolute that having them installed might be an issue. So after two weeks of waiting for countertops, the installers show up and say that they cannot install one of the countertops and that the cabinets need removing. Then the lying started, the installers indicated they could come back whenever we got the cabinets taken down, oh but they did not mention the additional installation cost. Oh and the guy who came to make the templates insisted he told my wife that "those cabinets need to be taken down." So when my cabinet installer was able to coordinate a day where he could come in the morning to take down the cabinets and wait for Absolute to install the countertop so he could then reinstall the cabinets, Absolute's installers were 45 minutes late. Then they were in no hurry to get it done as it was their only installation for the day. So they made everyone sit on their hands while they took nearly 2 hours to install one countertop! I would not recommend this company for your countertop needs.
