Description of activities

Author at The Stone Magazine, CEO of PG Countertops

From Finance to Stone

Iurii Pirogov comes from a background in logistics and finance. He earned a Bachelor’s degree in logistics, worked as a lead specialist at a bank, and even ran his own financial company before moving to the United States.

Everything changed when he was introduced to a granite shop.

What began as a simple job quickly turned into a career. Iurii started by cutting and polishing stone, then moved into measuring, sales, and eventually management. Learning every step of the process gave him a true understanding of how great countertops are made.

Over time, he realized that working with stone was more than just profitable. It was meaningful. As he says, stone is noble, and shaping it into something beautiful for someone’s home is deeply rewarding.

Starting PG Countertops

After managing that company for a while, Iurii decided to go his own way. He opened PG Countertops so he could control the quality of the work and how customers were treated.

Today, he has more than twelve years of experience in the countertop industry. His days are busy and very involved. He checks measurements, reviews fabrication, monitors installations, and follows up with clients to make sure they are satisfied.

PG Countertops works mostly with quartz and natural stone, including marble, quartzite, and granite. Every job is custom, which means there are always details to think through. Iurii believes there are no easy projects, only projects that require attention.

How He Works With Clients

Iurii believes most problems in remodeling come from poor communication. That is why he spends time talking things through before any work begins.

If a homeowner does not have a designer, he helps them choose materials. He looks at cabinet colors, floors, and walls and helps narrow down options. He also clears up common misunderstandings, especially around stone care and durability.

To keep quality consistent, PG Countertops relies on experienced experts and a hands-on approach.

  • Team members with over ten years of experience
  • Careful measuring and planning before fabrication
  • Regular quality checks during production and installation
  • Direct communication with clients throughout the process

Customer service is a big part of how Iurii runs his business. PG Countertops offers a lifetime warranty on installation for as long as the homeowner owns the house. If something needs fixing, the team comes back. Even if damage happens later, they will still help for a reasonable repair fee.

Iurii also stays available to his clients and responds to questions at any time. His goal is to make people confident in their decision.

For Iurii, countertops are one of the most visible parts of a home. When they are done right, they make a real difference in how a space looks, feels, and holds its value.
