Our ambitions are high, and launching the updated COCO site is a top priority that we are working toward as a team. Although the deadline is tight and it may seem challenging to meet the planned release date, every team member is working at full capacity. We know the task ahead is no small feat, but the drive to stay on schedule motivates us. For the COCO team, nothing is impossible, and we are doing everything we can to bring you the new site by November!
This was a busy and productive week for our development team. We successfully completed API work and made significant updates to the site structure to improve navigation and content interaction.

We have successfully completed the main page design! The main challenge was creating the "Partners and Sponsors" section, which has become part of our new strategy. We aim to attract partners and sponsors, accelerating the project’s development and enabling us to enter new markets as early as 2025.
We also created unique badges for participants and winners in our rankings, allowing each to showcase their achievements proudly. The design team is actively working on the remaining pages, but given the fast-approaching deadline to announce the best U.S. contractors, we may not complete the entire site update by then. Remaining pages will be finished after this major event. Additionally, we have started designing certificates for contractors who secure top positions in the ranking. These certificates will be sent to companies after the final results are announced. Time is tight, but the team is doing everything possible to meet the planned dates!
This past week was particularly successful for our social media channels. We are seeing significant growth on Pinterest: views have risen to 2.4K! After a recent Pinterest consultation, Vikki has been actively working on improving the page and each pin, preparing the platform for extensive development and attracting our target audience. This strategy is already delivering results, and we believe this is only the beginning. There was also good news on Instagram. Two more contractors confirmed co-authoring, marking an important step in our collaboration, and have already started reposting posts in which we tagged them. This strengthens our presence and helps build audience trust by showing that we are supported by industry leaders. One of our Reels reached a record 600 views, a significant achievement for our account and confirmation that our content is resonating with users. We have ambitious plans for social media growth, but the current results inspire us to keep moving forward and improving our strategy, attracting more engaged followers.
Ann, our analyst, focused this week on thoroughly verifying data collected by our mystery shopper, Maya. With the support of a new assistant for Maya, they were able to boost interactions with companies, regularly reaching out to contractors to request additional information and clarify details. This process requires high concentration to ensure every detail is accounted for. As always, Ann is focused on data accuracy. Over the week, she sent four cities back for revision, identifying points that required further clarification. Five other cities were sent to the copywriter to prepare articles, and we are already seeing results on our blog. New publications on cities such as Charlotte, TX, Baltimore, MD, Denver, CO, Philadelphia, PA, and others are now available. Each article is the result of a thorough effort, and we’re excited to share these results, helping you find the most reliable contractors.
Our copywriter Alice completed a major task this week by creating texts for the FAQ section on the new listing page. This project took considerable time and a meticulous approach to ensure that each piece of text was informative and easy for our users to understand.
We’re also considering new platforms to share valuable content beyond Substack. Next week, we plan to traditionally publish more articles with city price analyses and three new materials. We can reveal one topic: we’re preparing a guide on managing Instagram for countertop manufacturing businesses. This will be a helpful guide with practical tips—the first publication in a series of SMM articles for contractors. We want to share our experience and offer advice on how to improve brand visuals, boost recognition, and build trust with the audience. In the future, we plan to offer SMM and marketing consultations, supporting our partners not only through rankings but also by enhancing their online presence.
