What a great experience we had getting ideas and tile for our kitchen backsplash at SD Marble and Tile. AAAAA+++++!! Camille was fantastic, showing us around the first time we arrived and making good suggestions. Then, when we started ordering tiles, and found that our first choice for the project's centerpiece had been discontinued, she sprung to action, and was able to find a workable alternative for us. Whew-- what a relief!! That really helped us to keep going, and be hopeful that things actually would work out OK. Steve also was so nice to work with. He ordered all the pieces we needed, then kindly changed the order for us when (at the last minute) we had to go to "Plan B" (due to the discontinued pieces.) In addition, the front desk staff folks were friendly and helpful, when we rushed in to make changes. Finally, a big thanks to our tile master, Francisco, for putting it all together and making a beautiful finished product we can be proud of! We highly recommend SD Marble & Tile (Encinitas) to anyone seeking quality work and a friendly staff. They made it all happen for us!

I have visited here for decades. The store has been really updated and there are definitely interesting things to see now. But the staff continues to exhibit some kind of restrained snarky intolerance. The prices here are terrible. If you want to pay them then they are nice enough, but if not you are underfoot. It takes a long time (years) after visiting to step foot in there again, and each time I come away with no desire to go back. (Yes I have purchased tile from them. It was a drawn out and painful experience as the deliveries from LA were pushed out by their breaking the tile; and making me crazy trying to work around their excuses.) Selection is only one aspect, ultimately the price and delivery are the measuring stick. I may take another look when things look different but somehow they never are....

Beautiful showroom with extensive selection of contemporary and traditional tile and stone styles. Bring your designer or talk with their knowledgeable helpful staff. A must visit while choosing your finishes for every bath, kitchen, flooring, pool etc project.

I bought porcelain tile for our beach condo that looks like wood and saved a lot. They are also a good place to get grout plus water and sound proof subfloor coatings. Everyone is very helpful and they will put you in contact with a truck driver with tailgate lift to deliver the tile. A pallet is Very heavy.

As a local business owner and general contractor, I have been shopping for my tile here for nearly 20 years. San Diego Marble & Tile (Encinitas Tile) has been my go to tile store. The staff there are all friendly and knowledgeable about what they do. I prefer shopping here anytime over places like Arizona Tile, International Bath and Tile or Bedrosians. They are always helpful and do what they can to get my orders in as soon as possible. With the recent change in name and ownership, what I love even more, is that I can do my tile shopping at any of their three locations in San Diego. What's more, I can have my tile delivered to any location. So if you are looking for tile, don't look any further than San Diego Marble & Tile.
