We highly recommend KSI. BJ and Mark were excellent to work with! We had both a kitchen and bath remodel done, and the project turned out better than we expected. They stand behind their work and are honest. We received money back at the end of the job because we chose a lower cost granite. We had assumed some of our changes would eat up the difference, but that was not the case! We had also gotten an estimate from Lowe’s, and KSI was not more expensive. Highly recommend them for their individualized attention.

We had a small laundry room project done by KSI. Jessica did an excellent and thorough job figuring out what we needed, measuring, giving us options, and recommending an installer. Communication was very good and the job turned out beautifully. I would definitely recommend KSI for their service and attention to detail.

Had a really nice experience with KSI doing a major kitchen renovation. We worked with BJ at KSI and Mark Mulder as our contractor (through KSI). Both were easy to work with and the process was straight forward. The kitchen turned out great. We appreciated their follow up when we noticed one cabinet hinge needed replacing even after the project was complete. Honestly, highly recommend for their straight forward approach, fair prices, and predictable timeline.

We built a new custom home and purchased all cabinets for our home from KSI. We have cabinets in our large kitchen, 4 bathrooms, laundry room and basement bar area. We purchased the cabinets from KSI but our builder installed them. Amanda was extremely helpful and patient working together with us proposing layouts that work well for our lifestyle and colors that compliment our floor and tile selections. She also made a 3D model of our kitchen which was extremely helpful. She also provided information on knob and pull selection. The cabinets are beautiful. We have only used the cabinets for about a month but they seem like they are sturdy and durable. I highly recommend KSI and Amanda.

I don’t know many people who describe their kitchen remodeling experiences as delightful, but we do! Working with KSI was better than we even hoped for. Jessica Garst and her team led us thru a complete design to install process that was flawless and without issue. There isn’t a thing we’d change or hope to happen differently. Her design was fast and spot on from the beginning. Communication and expectation setting about the process was excellent. Her install coordinator (Jessie) was on top of everything and had a much more discerning eye than we did about product specifications. We used a KSI install contract who we also loved working with. They were very thorough and thoughtful about making our home the best it could be, and treated everything with deep care and consideration. The craftsmanship was excellent as well. We are so fortunate to have been in such good hands thru KSI and we are grateful to be able to enjoy such a beautiful kitchen space. Thank you KSI and Jessica! We can’t thank you enough!

The bathroom at my home was 66 years old and definitely needed to be completely updated. As a single man I was a little intimidated by the thought of having to select everything for the new bathroom. Jessica Garst at KSI was the consultant assigned to me. She was a huge help and was able to walk me through the entire process of selecting the floor and wall tile, the wall color, the shower door, etc. She made great recommendations and seemed to know which colors would work best with my tastes. The contractors hired to do the work did an excellent job and were flexible and easy to work with. Overall, I was very satisfied with the project and how it turned out. The only downside was that the project took several months to complete due to a variety of factors mostly beyond anyone's control. That may be par for the course in our present uncertain world.

We believe KSI Kitchens did an exceptional job remodeling our kitchen and would highly recommend them for many reasons. In particular, Amanda Cerra, KSI project manager used an excellent project management process. All through the project she listened well to our goals for both improving our kitchen and keeping the costs within our budget. Also, KSI had to complete the project while we were overseas for the duration of the remodeling. Communications and coordination were excellent from beginning to end. KSI also had to coordinate their work with two other contractors working in our home. The KSI installation team crew led by Steve met and exceeded all our expectations - cost, design functionality, cleanliness and timing. All aspects of the project were of high quality and met our cost goal. We would highly recommend KSI Kitchens and especially Amanda Cerra without reservation.

Very pleased with the service and advice we received at KSI. My wife and I have worked with Jill J. On a couple of bath remodels and couldn't be happier. Everything came in on time and as ordered and the installation crew was top notch. If you are looking to do a kitchen or bath remodel I highly recommend giving KSI and specifically Jill J. a call.

We had bathroom vanities and cabinets installed. The installer they recommended was difficult to work with. Some parts weren't ordered or were ordered incorrectly. When everything was installed it still took me several days of work to get it to look right. We went with a different company for our kitchen remodel. They did a much better job and everything met our expectations when they were finished. I do not recommend KSI, nor will I hire them again.

Bottom line: I do not recommend KSI and do not plan to hire them ever again. Read on for more details. The design process was relatively easy - I sent the designer photographs of the bathroom, dimensions that I provided, and a Pinterest inspo page that I created to reflect our design taste. From these, she created a project proposal with estimate. My husband and I appreciated the level of service early in the process compared to other companies we contacted, felt comfortable with our quote, and decided to move forward with KSI. After this, there was a brief visit to our home by the designer and contractor to confirm measurements. A visit to the KSI showroom finalized our cabinetry, flooring, and counter selections. You will not be able to buy lighting or plumping fixtures from KSI and you will be sent elsewhere. If you want a high level of service with your designer, that will not happen with KSI - They do not accompany you on these trips or provide input. The designer was responsive throughout the process, but I do feel like she was overly busy sometimes and I did feel like her attention to detail was sometimes lacking. While the design process was relatively easy - Maybe a 3 star process - The actual renovation was 1 star and absolutely the reason that we will never use KSI again. The project was originally estimated to take 3-4 weeks... Actual time: 2.5 months. The workers consistently showed up late in the day - mostly after 4pm - if at all, and made it clear that we were their last priority. When confronted about the delays, which were absolutely due to short work hours and no show days, the contractor became defensive and extremely difficult to communicate with thereafter with long stretches of no responses to questions and ludicrous excuses. It was extremely distressing because other work that was being done on our home needed to be delayed multiple times, while we waited for the bathroom to be finished. We had to have some return visits for very subpar work, mostly related to improper wall preparation and painting, but overall, the workmanship was fine. Even after the work has been done almost a month, we are still waiting for the designer to make her final visit where final billing will be given. She says that the delay is because they are waiting on a gift basket. Really?! This must be some gift basket! I cannot wait to be truly done with KSI. This was a trial run for other projects we want done, including large projects of kitchen and master bathroom remodel, and I would love to say that KSI will miss our business but I am not sure that they even care or will notice.

The salesperson was nice, helpful and patient with me but for what I paid and the craftsmanship I got, I would've been better off going to Lowe's or Home Depot and doing it all myself. It felt like they wrote me off because it's a small condo and a small bathroom, so not a priority or worth the time. The grouting job is horrible, sloppy. They would not do my backsplash at the height I wanted, claiming it wasnt possible (huh?!?!) which leaves me wanting to redo it myself which I shouldn't have to. I don't splurge on things like this often so when I do, I want to love it. I don't.

We walked in today to get a rough estimate for our kitchen (we didn't have exact measurements but our kitchen is a very standard build). We were met by a "designer" which is where our experience went downhill. We said that we wanted to have some kitchen remodeling done and to get some estimated prices. Instead of asking what type of cabinets, counter tops, etc. We were immediately told it's going to cost 30k-35k before knowing what we wanted. After telling her we wanted 10 cabinets and granite countertops we were again not shown around to see what different options we had to pick from. Instead we were told it's going to be 20k-25k. 20,000 dollars for cabinets and countertops that we are installing ourselves?

The most expensive place to buy cabinets. Not recommended. Our cabinets arrived damaged and the work crew has to wait 2 weeks for replacement as the factory is too busy to take care of its mistakes. Very disappointed.

*Note: This review is based solely on our experience with one employee at KSI. It is possible that the store itself is wonderful to work with if you get the right person. BJ at KSI in Ann Arbor is the reason Yelp should allow negative stars. If you look at my reviews you'll see that I have never written a negative review before. While I've certainly had less than ideal experiences, I try to be incredibly understanding of the fact that everyone is human and we all make mistakes. I never thought I would write such a negative review but I truly wish someone had warned me before working with this specific employee at KSI. After meeting with him to lay out the project, BJ said he would come out to measure our kitchen cabinets sometime in the next day or two so we could move forward. We had workers in and out of our house for two weeks so we told him to just stop by anytime and our lead contractor would let him in. Two weeks later we called KSI to follow up on the next steps, assuming he had come and done the measurements like he said he would. At that point he said he wanted to "come out and measure again... just to be safe." This seemed weird to us since KSI originally installed our kitchen when the house was built so really all he needed to do was measure to confirm the kitchen rendering we had already provided him with (which was from KSI in the first place). Given that something didn't seem right we asked our contractor if BJ had ever stopped by and he said no. When BJ arrived to measure the kitchen a "second" time he found out that one of the cabinet sizes was off significantly from the original rendering because a dishwasher had been added after the rending was done. There is no way that if he had actually been by to measure the first time that he wouldn't have noticed that. The entire time he was doing the "second" measurement he kept talking about how he always like to "measure twice and cut once", which is a great strategy unless you're using it to lie about the fact that you never did the measurements in the first place. When the new faucet and countertop for our half bath arrived into KSI he called us to schedule the delivery. The quartz was going to be delivered by the manufacturer between 9am-noon on the day we agreed upon. My husband stayed home from work to receive the delivery and, lo and behold, no one ever showed up. When he called KSI to speak to BJ at noon he was told that the quartz manufacturer had been given the wrong address (which came from BJ, but he never apologized or indicated that he realized that he made a mistake) and arrived at the wrong house at 9:30am but didn't have enough time in his route to bring the quartz to our actual address that day. So, not only did BJ seem completely oblivious to the fact that he made a mistake, but at 9:30am he knew that the driver wasn't going to show up that day and never called to let us know. We received the faucet a few days later and it was a completely different faucet than we ordered. Instead of going through the hassle of getting the right faucet from BJ I decided to order one on Amazon and install it myself. When we received the new kitchen cabinet doors we ordered, several of them were the wrong size for the hinges that were included and we were missing one door completely. We called that day to let him know about the missing door and he said he would have them build it and send it out immediately. One month later we called back to see if we could pick up the door because our contractor was scheduled to install all the doors the next day and he told us that he had forgotten to order it. There are so many more examples of his complete incompetence and lack of awareness that I could share but hopefully those above describe the situation well enough. This was a simple kitchen and half-bath refresh that turned into a 6 month process full of headache and frustration.
