Terrible, terrible, terrible customer service. No one answers the phone during normal business hours. I needed assistance from Kim, who handles the Lowes accounts. Lowes representatives left numerous messages for her to contact me, as did I. Two weeks now, and I haven't heard a word from her, even after finally contacting the the fellow from the Granite Shop who said that he would leave notes for her to contact me. It almost seems like a scam business, except that that fellow who measured my countertops was very prompt and professional.

Took them 3 months after I paid for countertop to install it. Horrible experience, beautiful quartz. They wanted to charge me to remeasure when it was their mistake the first time. Don't do it. They also scratched a newly refinished floor and I'm so done with them I'm paying to fix the floor myself

Our experience with The Granite Shop out of Pierceton was less than acceptable. We hand picked our slab and were very excited. The day of delivery, a completely wrong slab was delivered. We were promised install with the correct slab for 2 weeks later. That day came and went without any communication from The Granite Shop (we called and emailed daily). We were ghosted for almost a week before being told another delivery date. On that day, the installers did not attach the required support braces for our island. We were again ghosted for another week while we tried to reach our contact, Kim Rocha, to discuss our options. At that time we were told the countertop would need to be pulled back out and there would be a chance of it being damaged during the process. Never once did we hear a "sorry for the inconvenience" or "what can we do to help". The slab itself is gorgeous, however the quality of the installation and the extreme lack of being able to contact any sort of customer service was beyond concerning. For the amount of money one pays to have custom countertops, I would highly suggest working with a company that is customer focused and knows how to accurately run their business. I have attached the photo of our slab sent to me from the warehouse where an employee flashed the camera in the background. Nothing about our experience leads us to believe that this is a professional business.

Great experience! Level of knowledge and design involvement was so helpful from Dan. And the timeliness was AWESOME in getting new countertops installed. Installation crew went above and beyond in all ways to do the job efficiently and perfectly for our family. Here are just a couple photos of the beautiful quartzite vanity. Also did quart and granite in kitchen. Highly recommend Keystone GW.

I recommend looking elsewhere. We had a relatively small job (kitchen counter tops) and it's been awful. Their mistake would have left us with no counter tops for weeks. (Our contractor had to convince them to put the wrong piece in so we could at least use the sink.) When the correct pieces of quartz were finally installed they were chipped and scratched. The company has never even attempted to apologize for any of these things (or offer any form of refund on the payment we were required to make up front) - which would indicate that this is level of service they typically provide their customers.

Does The Granite Shop offer cutouts for sinks, cooktops, or other elements?
Yes, like most professional contractors in the market, The Granite Shop performs cutouts and countertop preparation for various components — both standard and modern. According to our findings, these services are typically included in the overall project estimate. The standard scope usually covers cutouts for sinks (undermount, drop-in, or farmhouse) and holes for faucets or other plumbing fixtures. Additional cutouts — such as for cooktops, hidden or pop-up outlets, built-in wireless chargers, or other accessories — are discussed individually at the project planning and estimating stage.
It’s important to note that while the cutouts and countertop preparation are usually performed by the company, the installation of electrical and plumbing fixtures (such as faucets, outlets, or appliances) may not be included in their scope of work and could require licensed professionals. We recommend clarifying this point when placing your order.
To avoid misunderstandings, ask for a detailed estimate with a breakdown of all services: cutout pricing, installation, and any add-on options. This will ensure project transparency and help you clearly understand what you're paying for.
What guarantees does The Granite Shop provide for its work?
According to our information and industry practice, The Granite Shop, like most participants in the ranking, provides a workmanship warranty valid for 1 year from the date of countertop installation. This period is usually specified in the contract. We do not rule out that the company may have extended warranty terms (2 years or more), however, during our research, we did not receive confirmed data from the contractor regarding the duration and scope of its warranty.
The contractor’s warranty covers defects in fabrication and installation, such as uneven or separating seams, leveling and fastening issues, detachment or sagging of an undermount sink, flaws in edge finishing and cutouts, premature failure of seam materials, and cutouts that do not match the approved design. Warranty coverage does not include damage from use (thermal shock/burn marks from hot cookware, chips or cracks caused by impacts), stains and acid etching (for marble), wear due to insufficient maintenance or lack of sealing, natural characteristics of stone (veins, micro-pores, variations in shade/pattern within tolerances), shifts caused by base deformation, or any modifications performed by third parties.
The material warranty is provided by the manufacturer or the official stone supplier. Engineered quartz brands often offer a limited “lifetime” warranty for residential properties (subject to registration and compliance with care guidelines). For sintered surfaces, typical warranty periods range from 10 to 25 years. Natural stone usually does not come with a factory warranty — its quality of fabrication and installation is covered by the contractor’s warranty. The term and scope of the warranty depend on the project and materials — contact The Granite Shop in any convenient way on this page to get the current terms.
