The company started almost 20 years ago with a small office and a staff of two, but over the years has become one of the largest countertops services in Charlotte. At the moment, Universal Stone LLC has a spacious showroom and warehouse, where a range of products is presented. Homeowners, construction firms and commercial structures are offered marble, quartz and granite countertops, as well as finishing tiles. The entire process of creating and implementing of the project is accompanied by professional consultations, and the fabrication and installation of finished countertops is carried out by experienced workers.

I'm writing to share our experience with Universal Stone. In a word, it was fantastic. We had good communication, good pricing and excellent workmanship. This was my first kitchen renovation, and we decided to do it ourselves to save money. I ordered the cabinets and had them delivered in July of 2024. After the design was done, I visited Universal Stone and met Vinny Simmano. She was friendly and really listened as we outlined our project objectives. She worked with us to help us save money by using a remnant that she already had in stock. We selected Calacatta Rafael, a beautiful stone that perfectly complemented our cabinets. In early August of 2024, we completely renovated the kitchen in 6 days. It was overdue for a renovation, since the kitchen still had the original stove, from 1956! Once the kitchen was finished, the man from Universal Stone came to do the template. He was prompt and courteous. Now, all we needed was installation. We were working on a tight time frame, and Vinny worked with us to schedule the installers to meet our timetable. The workers showed up right on time, and they did their work in a professional manner, and they were very friendly. Before we knew it, the job was finished and we were standing in our new kitchen. I can't say enough nice things about this company.

We are new to the area and so lucky to find Universal Stone. Selection, pricing transparency, clear communication, great follow up, Beautiful install! We are super happy with the end result. We are still finishing our trim work but you can see from the pics and the instal was fast and efficient, great team! They even cut the vanity top to cap the knee wall at the end of the bath! Perfect!

Amazing experience! This was my 1st kitchen renovation so I was a bit nervous. Nicki was exceptional to work with from start to finish! Made it quick and easy. Leo, the installer, was polite, friendly, and professional. He walked me through the installation process. He and his crew did a phenomenal job! No hiccups or issues anywhere! We are in love with the Leathered Uba Tuba! Universal Stone for the win!

Vinny was great to work with!! She showed so MUCH patience with me. I had a hard time making a decision in fear of making a very expensive mistake. She was always so helpful and kind. Bryan and Gio did a fantastic job of installing my kitchen and bath countertops. On top of that, they cleaned up the mess even when I told them that I would do it! They are great guys! I would definitely recommend Universal Stone to others.

My husband and I wanted our countertops and backsplash redone along with removing our old bulky corbels a d replacing them with flush mounts that we would t hit our knees on when sitting on our bar stools. When we went to the design room in Ballantyne we met with Hemant and he knew exactly the look we were going for. He priced us out for a new sink, countertops, corbels, and backsplash for lower than all of the competitors and the work is absolutely beautiful!!! We would definitely recommend Universal Stone to any friends or family.

From start to finish they went above and beyond. I recently completed a gut job renovation on the main level of my home and when I tell you Universal Stone’s team is the only contractor I worked with that I had zero issues with. Their communication was prompt and courteous, they had one tiny snafu with the install but they fixed it immediately. Reliable, friendly, knowledgeable, quality workmanship AND reasonably priced?! 10/10 would work with again and again and again.

Universal Stone has been exceptional! My bathroom countertops, tub surround and shower curbs look AMAZING! (Photos below are work in progress.) To ensure they had everything correct, Universal Stone came to re-template after a slight design change. Everything came out perfectly and I can't wait to complete my other two projects with them!

Working with Universal Stone was easy, professional, and resulted in a great end product. We had some custom built-in cabinets made and Universal Stone provided the Calcutta Maya quartz tops. They came to measure for the template and the installation was done about a week and a half later. Their installers were right on time and left our home clean and new counters looking great. Universal Stone provided the most competitive price for our job and we are extremely please with the experience. We will certainly use them again in the future for any quartz counter needs!
